My first time here and I horrible experience. I selected a color from their sample only for them to tell me she couldn't match it. No biggie, I changed color. But the application was horrible!!!! Please see the video and keep in mind this is AFTER I sat back down to have them fix it. She did at least 7-8 layers of gel that I counted. At that point I was tired of being there for 2hrs (30 min wait) for ONLY a gel polish change, no manicure, nothing else!! I was charged $35 and she started whispering something in her language once she noticed I didn't tip. Do not recommend!!! read more

I have been coming to Lala's for over 8 years and love my me time getting the pedicure. Tommy is amazing! I have gotten just about everyone there once but Tommy is really the best. I usually just walk in and wait for a few minutes if it is not too busy. I tend to go when I know it will be slower. I just simply love this place. The price is also very reasonable! Was hoping this place would work out because it's close to home but it ended up being a huge disappointment. I can only speak for one of the nail techs. I read the negative reviews and was hoping they were one offs. But what the other reviews say about that "nail tech" is 100% on point. She seemed like she was running the place so I thought my kid was in good hands. When my daughter went to wash her hands she came back with a look on her face and I asked her what was wrong? My kid said that she asked for coffin style TWO times and she completely ignored her. My daughter wanted to just leave and I asked her why and she then proceeded to tell me that this b**** knicked every one of her fingers, made her bleed, and not once apologized. Then told her "oh that hurts" and made it seem like she was overreacting. Then when she told her to go wash her hands she shoved her hands away and they hit the plexiglass. Still no apology. My kid was upset and when I heard what she did I really wanted to go back in there and say something, but didn't wanna embarrass the kid. 1. My daughter had a picture of what she wanted. Showed the tech and asked for coffin TWICE 2. Knicked her fingers, made them bleed, never apologized. 3. Shoved her hands away and was extremely rude 4. Had an ugly pink shirt on and seemed like she was the boss. I drove by later that evening and took a picture of me flipping them off. First picture is of what my daughter asked for. While I was sitting and relaxing on the massage chairs they had the lady uses the same exact utensils she used for the other women that was sitting next to me she didn't clean it disinfect the utensils at all. I was so grossed out when she was cleaning my feet and a few days after I went to their nails salon to get a manicure and pedicure I got FUNGUS GROWING on my feet. I made several appointments and each time I showed up I was told there was a 30-45 min wait. 2 stars because they actually do a nice pedi but the lady that did my fill burned me with electric nail file and when I told her she hurt me she laughed and said oh don't be baby...really!? If I could give a 0 I would. I took my daughter here to get our nails done for an event we were attending. It was her first time having her nails done and it was a terrible first experience. Her nails were so crooked and when I told him, he proceeded to argue with me and then tell me I couldn't see right.!! The lady doing my nails also agreed they were crooked and as the man continued to argue with me, my lady got up from painting my nails to fix my daughters, she was much better than he was. Not only that while doing her nails he kept pausing mid Brush stroke to watch his laptop behind him. I will not return to this businesses. A welcome addition to Del Valle! Located in a new strip mall in the middle of nowhere (except for the surrounding neighborhoods), this full service nail salon and spa is a welcome addition to our area. As an 8-year resident of Del Valle, I've gotten very used to having to travel 30 minutes for any amenities. I'm used to not having a grocery store or a pharmacy and actually considered having a party when the Dollar General opened up down the road. I am a firm believer that you should patronize your local stores so, with that, belief, I ventured into Lala Nails and Spa yesterday. I needed a pedicure and I was admittedly nervous about walking into a new place. I'm 9 months pregnant, so the last thing I need is to risk infection in an unclean environment. Luckily, the salon was spotlessly clean! The pedicure chairs were new (and boy did the massage action feel great on my aching muscles) and it was obvious that all of the utensils were being cleaned and sterilized to the highest caliber. The staff was very friendly and attentive and seemed genuinely glad I was there. And the prices??? FANTASTIC! My 45-min spa pedicure was only $23 and the french-tip polish was FREE! That might have only been a "spring special" but it was a welcome surprise for sure. Along with nail services they also do waxing, massages and facials. I have yet to try any of those services, but now that I feel comfortable there, the prices and atmosphere are enticing enough to draw me back for sure. To my fellow Del Valle residents: This place is worth a try! If we want smal businesses to open and thrive in our neighborhood we must give them our business - so go give Lala Nails a try, even if it's just for a quick polish change! read more

This was an great experience. I was skeptical about going to a nail salon located at a gas station, but boy was a I wrong! I went in for an acrylic nail set, and I got exactly what I wanted. When I walked it I was greeted by a man at the counter that instructed me to to choose a nail polish color from a wide rack of nail polishes. After I had choosen what I wanted, I sat with the designated employee to start my nails. He was very professional and worked hard on my nails. Paying close attention to his work, he created the long claws that I wanted. The actually employee was very sweet and polite. Even though he didint speak very fluent english, nothing got lost in translation and I was fully satisfied with how my nails turned out. I just tried Lala Nails for the first time and I am very pleased. From the initial phone call speaking to a very friendly man regarding their prices and availability, to the actual service I received, everything was great. The nail technician, Nancy, did a thorough job removing my old gel polish, and she gave me a great manicure. Considering how much other places charge, I consider $12 for a mani a steal. After the manicure my nails look very neat and nice. The facility itself is nothing fancy (it's in the same building as the gas station) but it appears clean and organized. Wide selection of nail polish colors is a nice bonus. As a plus, the technician was not forcing some canned small talk on me, as many of them do (what do you work, where do you live, etc - feels more like an interrogation to me) - instead, she worked quietly, focused on the task, and I was free to relax and enjoy.
