I absolutely love this place. I have been going to them since the pandemic and I have been in love ever since. They always are so kind and caring and anything you ask for or need, they are front and center and on top of everything. The ambience is beautiful, there's always lovely music, they give you amazing beverages with a fully stocked bar as well, everyone is always so nice. The prices are not insanely expensive either. I come in and it was never communicated that a time was scheduled for me. I was asked if I could wait and I couldn't so thankfully things were changed so I could have my service THE TIME I ASKED FOR. 2. I call to make an appointment for a removal, I asked for the price and ask if the person I wanted was in. I was told the person I requested was working. I come in, everyone looks at me confused and I say I have an appointment with said person. I'm told "oh that person isn't in today." , "but I called to make the appointment and was told she was here today." " when did you call?" .. "Today.... 30 minutes ago". A guy was kind and made sure to get me someone. However, extremely disappointed with how my nails were left. I asked for almond, if it was possible. I get barely ovals and uneven! I still got charged and when asked what happened with the person I asked and I'm told "she doesn't work Mondays". Okay? Wonderful to know but why was I told that when I called. I haven't treated myself to a pedicure in almost 2 years. I can't even begin to tell you how extremely disappointed I was with the service today. I felt very rushed. She also painted my toenails before she did any of the other stuff. It literally says on the menu that they will massage and do all these things to your feet before they paint them. Why would I stick my brand new painted toenails into the dirty disgusting water??? She used that cheese grater thing on my foot and then didn't bother buffing it out and now my feet feel like sandpaper and I am beyond pissed off. I'm going to flag this is a fraudulent charge and I hate doing that because I know these people work hard, but I felt like a number not like a person. The bottom of my feet are tender from how much she cheese grated them. Honestly made me so unhappy. The massage chair they put me in didn't even work. The paint job even looks juvenile. Reading the menu the only difference between number one and number two pedicure is the hot stones so you're telling me I paid six dollars to have this lady smack my feet with a hot stone for less than a minute each foot less than one minute smacking my foot nothing about her foot massage with those stones was enjoyable. The nail lady i had was very sweet and kept up the conversation. My nails came out OK and i had a inspiration pic but they basically did my nails nothing like them except for the black french. She was really rough on my cuticles and blamed that my cuticles were dry and that's why theyre bleeding.. A literal chop shop. I can't stress this enough. I asked for a dip manicure, they knew they would have to dip my fingers in community dip powder. My cuticle was literally picked apart. I'm shocked, it just kept bleeding and I was told "wash your hands". I washed my hands and then just left...like... I just...yall, look at this photo. Suffice to say, I did not let them finish. True is one of those nail techs that are really detail oriented - and not just aesthetically, but functionally too! I decided to no longer do acrylic and wanted to go back to gel manis, but my nails weren't strong enough (got them done at another salon). When I walked in, True listened to me, and immediately went to problem solving. She suggested polygel and she understood that eventually I'd like to nurture my natural nails back to health - and hopefully get them super strong again. Until then, she's got me on a polygel plan. Once finished, the nail tech made me take photos of my hands for his own personal account (Hin). continue to charge me over $175 for a French tip and a basic design. I asked if I was going to get a promotional discount of 5 to 10% for the exposure and the nail tech and the front desk continued to fight me on it and let me know that I was not welcome back. well, this is all going on. I asked the front desk for the man's name and told me that it would be bad for business for them to tell me his name for what he did wrong. Yay! Diamond Nails has reopened and just in time for a summer pedicure! With quarantine measures relaxing, I appreciate the extra efforts they're going through to keep customers and staff safe and comfortable. All manicurists and customers wear masks, and only every other station is in use, allowing sufficient distance for safety. The nail stations now have a plexiglass partition to separate the customer and manicurist. An opening at the bottom gives access to hands and lower arms (for that nice massage you don't want to miss!) When I was at the drying station, I watched Mai (my manicurist) meticulously clean the manicure table and the pedicure station we had used. The place is sparkling. I was equally impressed with my beautiful manicure and pedicure. Good job, Mai! Now, let me slip into some of those summer sandals and show it all off! read more

Came here while visiting Austin and had my nails done by Kim Lee. It was the first time I tried dip powder and let me tell you, it was amazing! Not only did she do a beautiful job on my nails, but also, they lasted 5 weeks. The only weird thing was when I asked if I could have her number in case I'm back in Austin, she said she had to ask her manager, and the manager said no. This is very unusual in California, and I have no idea why the manager things she has the right to determine that. Great service, very attentive! I had Anna and Kimmie do my nails during an early afternoon. Anna did my manicure, and even though I have super short damaged nails, she kept the little length I had while making the cuticles and nail-shape beautiful! My soon to be sister in law picked this place to come get our nails done before her wedding. She called and made an appointment for 4. If you forgot to schedule a nail appt before a trip, this is a solid walk-in type of nail salon... but that's really it. I don't think the customer experience here is anything worth raving about. You simply just walk in, sign in on their tablet (you MUST sign in or else you don't have a spot in line if it's busy) and you just kinda get your nails done and that's it. They have a bar area with a gadget coffee maker and some margarita machines, but they're never in use and out of commission. The last few times I've been here, they've never offered me a drink, so I just kind of got used to not asking for one. I feel if they utilized their bar, their whole vibe would be out of this world, like it's a really nice bar area!!... that they don't use lol. As someone that always gets gel on their nails, try to not be picky with your color they don't always have all the samples available and they kinda of make you choose a color from a limited set of samples. I understand colors are just colors, but I wanna see the OPI colors!!! They'll give you a set of colors from one brand and just kinda make you choose one and that's it. I always appreciate an organized color sample set, but you won't find that here. It's reasonably priced and they always have a lot of techs working so it's great if you need to get in and out. I'm appalled that they did nothing. No one is special and exempt from these rules/laws. The chairs are not wiped down after a client, they want you to touch all the polish bottles and were annoyed when I wouldn't get my own. I came here because I had a pre-covid gift card. I can say that I won't be back after what I saw today. As a fellow business owner we all have the right to enforce rules in our places of business, but what we cannot do is pick and choose who gets to follow those rules. But the icing on the cake is now after a few weeks, I have fungal growth under several of my fingernails!!! UGHHH!!! When I showed up I had to STAND for 10 minutes waiting... then after I was finally approached by the girl at the front desk, she told me to just pick any chair to sit in for my pedicure. A gel manicure is $35 so it's a good price but I give the actual quality of the manicure and service a D-. They're always rushing so they end up just slapping some cheap polish on and then put the gel top coat on top. My nails cracked less than 5 hours after I got them for the SECOND time. I used to love this place years ago, so when I was back in Austin and looking for a new nail salon, I was excited to come back here. But after giving it three tries, I've concluded this salon isn't what it once was and Austin has much better to offer. They offer appointments. But each time I've made one (I've tried for early mornings on both weekends and week days), I've always waited between 45 min to an hour. When you ask how much longer, standard reply is "10 min." But then you wait for much longer than that. It makes it really hard to plan other parts of your day. The interior is nice, clean and includes what appears to be a fully stocked bar to enjoy while you wait for your service. But I've never been offered a beverage (not even water) during the long wait, and no one ever seems to be making drinks for customers. It's just there for looks, I guess? The service itself isn't that great. I'm sure it depends on the skills of your technician, but all three times I've recently been in, my polish doesn't last, the shape is off and the cuticle work is lazy. The technicians are working as fast as they can to get through the long line of people, so they don't pay attention to detail. Three visits and hours of wasted time waiting unfortunately make this salon a thing of the past. read more

I was able to walk in on a Wednesday around 2. Was helped immediately. Woman that did my nails kept acting really frustrated and jerking my hands and arms in certain directions. I didn't know what she wanted me to do. It was annoying that I was paying for a service and I felt like I was doing something wrong. Sometimes nail technicians will tell me to relax because I'll flex my hands and fingers but she was just jerking and twisting and not communicating. Towards the end we were both ready to be done. My nail shape was more round than I like but I was ready to leave. They do give a little shoulder massage and lotion your arms which is nice that I usually don't experience other places.
