Unfortunately, after reading the other one-star reviews, my experience doesn't appear to be unique. This place is so unprofessional. I had an awful experience with the technician, Su. She was so impatient and rude to me. I was just sitting there when I asked her which color was a brighter orange, and she aggressively responded, "It's a personal choice. I'm not you." I was so confused. Her whole demeanor was rude and aggressive throughout the entire session. She cut me and made me bleed twice. I asked her to be careful the first time, and instead of apologizing, she looked like she took offense to it, completely disregarded me, and then continued to cut my other finger. She didn't even bother offering me antiseptic or anything to clean the cuts. At that point, I just wanted to leave. When I told the guy at the front desk, he said he had overheard everything and apologized for her behavior. He said, "I don't know if she's having a bad day or personal problems." I thought to myself, even if she was, that doesn't mean you should take it out on your customer. The whole situation was bizarre, uncomfortable, and awkward. He told me that next time the manager would do my nails and take care of me. I don't know why, but I was open to giving it another chance. When I called to make an appointment with the manager, the same technician, Su, happened to answer the phone and refused to let me speak to the manager. She continued to be rude and said, "You should make sure to choose the color before you come in," as if it was somehow my fault she made me bleed. It was so strange. Then, out of nowhere, she said, "I'M NOT RACIST." That's when it clicked. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. Communication, I had asked for a French manicure with polish and once they were applying it th French white part was very thick and made my toes look terrible. I then asked for skinnier French polish and was told they couldn't do that and it would have to be gel - which didn't make sense to me as I have gotten this before elsewhere and they looked better. I asked to remove it and went to pay for the foot soak and polish removal where they tried to charge me 37 dollars - again did not make sense since I was upset with my service. I asked for just the price of the soak and removal and paid 34 dollars for that. In the past I also have come here with a 30 percent off coupon and the lady gave me a dollar off instead of the 30 and tore up the coupon when I asked for it back. Not my favorite nail salon, and it was a sub-par experience overall. Unfortunately, I took my sister here for her first manicure, and it did not meet expectations (one of her nail's polish chipped the next day...). I had wanted us to get the Russian e-file manicure and when I called this establishment the day before to make an appointment, the person answering the phone said they offered it...but I guess all they heard was "manicure" and said "yes" so that they could score some business. The techs were nice and professional, but the technique could be better. I got simple gel polish over my natural nails (needed a break from acrylic). I showed an inspo photo but the result did not meet my expectations. Of course with a natural nail, there will be natural imperfections due to the strength and shape of the nail, but what I received was something I could have done at home... I was hoping for a mint-colored french tip but the tech only put one, light layer of color, so it ended up looking white on my nails. And I was charged $17 bucks for it. I think I have been here 3 times. Of those 3, I have only left once feeling good about my nails. They are conveniently located next to my work so I kept giving Sola nails a chance, but now I will no longer return. Each time I have been, I have waited 30+ minutes for my nails to be done. To be fair, I did not have an appointment, and I am new to acrylic nails so I am not sure if that is normal or not. On top of the wait, my sub-par nails have taken 1.5-2 hours. This last time I had my nails done was the tipping point for me. I waited 30 Min and it took ~2 hours for my nails to be done and this is what I received (see photos): at least 7 coats of nail polish on my left hand and 5 on my right, two different shades on my left versus right hand, and nail shape very different from what I asked for. Please see the photos for reference. At the end, there were at least two upgrade charges for $15+ and one upgrade charge for ~$5. Because I have been in the service industry, I know the value of tips, and still tipped 20%, bringing my total to $92.40. The French tip nails with white tips, are the nails I went in with and I asked for the same shape (round almond). The shape I received is thicker on the tips than at the cuticle. Additionally, some nails are very thick, and there is nail polish left all over my cuticles and skin. Overall, for these reasons I will not be returning, and have been disappointed with most of my services here. read more

Angry. Thats the best way I can describe my experience so far. I've been going for about 5 or 6 months now, so I've had several services - I'm not saying this without consideration. I've sat through having a great pedi but then my gelx manicure was massacred. Not the length I wanted, and nail shapes all wildly not uniform or any semblance of it. I've had a good pedicure, but my request for hot wax was ignored and then I was upcharged for a pedicure I didn't request. They did fix it after a few minutes of back and forth with the receptionist. An ok pedicure but ultimately bad. The color I showed on my phone of a sheer pink, she confidently said yes, well do this color then this color over. 1.5 hours later for what should be a 45-60 min service max, after she applied the 3 coats - I'm hangry. I'm exhausted. This is partially on me. I was not happy but instead of communicating, paid the overpriced fees then went home and had to attempt to fix. My at home job ended up looking better and I should have learned. Why did i come back? I don't know. Convenience. In my routine. Next to Target. they have a booking appointment on their site which they do follow which I like a lot. Since they just took over this place in February I guess I keep hoping. Next pedicure, good. Kai did a great job. Actually, excellent. Today. I made an appointment earlier this week for 11:30 pedi today with who I thought was Kai. My mistake I did not get Kai. I didn't even get the same presenting gender as Kai. I needed powder on one of my toes as it came off due to injury. Fine. No problem. Taking off my existing gel, and shaping, I got cut the f up. This honestly doesn't usually bother me but wow, I'm not sure how she didn't notice how much she had cut into my big toe. The powder shaping was bad. Really bad. I had to ask 2 times to please make it thinner, my nail bed is no where near that wide. TMI but I had an ingrown toe nail surgery at 13 so I'm very aware how uneven my toenail beds are. I don't usually take pics of my toes but please understand that my right toe bed is slightly more wide than my left. I have attached a photo, it's disgustingly overdone and this was after some reshaping. The technician said kind words but the feeling was wearing thin. I literally told her exactly the same - I had surgery and although it's gone I know exactly where my nail bed is at. I was there at least 1.5 hrs for a pedicure that I need antibiotics for (I would have tried to stick up for myself longer but I had a work call) i got a shape and service and color that I'm underwhelmed and/or unhappy with. This was my first time here- It was beautiful and was so exited that maybe I found a new nail place. The nail tech started digging with a tool I've never seen, I screamed ouch multiple times to the point where people were looking over at me. She never asked if she should stop or seemed alarmed at all. She was literally pulling away at the skin to the side of my nails whereas I'm pretty sure it should be cut. Then when it started to bleed, she didn't even flinch and just put some type of clear polish on it then said "feel better now?"
