Let me preface this review by saying that I don't take dragging others businesses down lightly. However, my experience here was just unacceptable. The lady doing my nails, alongside their manager, were both very rude to me. At the beginning of the session, prior any design work done, I had asked to change my nail design to one being displayed on their TV. They both acted like it was some world-ending hassle, as if I weren't a paying customer either way. Additionally, they charged me more for my design that was simpler than my friends, saying that it was because they were using blooming gel, but then continued to not use blooming gel for my pinky, ring, and pointer fingers despite saying that's why they were charging me more. I'm not the one who does nails for a living, so I will believe you when you say my design is more complex. However, to say you are charging me more for something you never did is a whole other topic. They also were very belittling overall, acting super inconvenienced when i spoke. The fully grown manager even made whiny, childlike noises when my body twitched during some more complicated designs (drawing the french tip part) Not only that, but my nail popped off two days later. I've gotten nails my whole life done very regularly, and a majority of them have been mostly gel x and none have ever popped off, so to me it doesn't seem like user error. People are all human, so I don't see why they felt the need to treat me poorly. It isn't hard to be kind.
June does an amazing job ALWAYS!!!! She cares about her customers and stays up to date on trends and education. I can't recommend this place enough. Every picture I've ever shown her was Executed perfectly. I drive 50 min to come see her because I know I will be happy with her work. I usually always get pedicures if I have time and they are amazing as well, And reasonably priced!!
If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Do not waste your money here. I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. I showed the nail tech a photo of the nails I wanted, but what I got was the complete opposite - the ugliest nails I've ever seen. When I asked for help, they insisted on charging me an additional $20-$30 upfront for a fix or offered to remove them with no refund. The employees, including the nail tech, were unpleasant, treating me roughly and lacking professionalism. She also made me bleed as seen in the photo. The owner, Travis, was unbelievably rude, laughing in my face when I sought assistance. Avoid this spa; they clearly prioritize money over customer satisfaction. (On the left what I asked for, right what I got)
Service was pretty bad during my experience here. My tech was super rough with my hands flipping them in every which direction, telling me I need to "help her", which is fine. I was trying to flip my hand and assist her, but I don't read minds unfortunately and this tech was RUSHING. Continuing on and she didnt even both to properly remove my regular black polish from the sides and around my nail. I feel like if she would've just slowed down my entire experience would've been better. This was not a relaxing vibe. I told her about the polish and she took one look at it and said "it's fine". (My nails are also crooked, but not a big deal.) When I told the man at the desk (who had wonderful customer service when we walked in) he said that her English is no good and there was nothing her could do farther to fix my nails. We were up charged from $55 to $67 too. We paid it because I didnt want to seem like I was complaining for a discount. *if you're looking for fast service go here **if you're looking for enjoyable service go literally anywhere else.
i walked into a random salon off the street and WOW i think i walked out a regular. I'm so pleased with my full set from Daisy!
I asked the nail technician to be careful because one of my nails was bruised. However, she struggled with English and didn't fully understand my request. As a result, she was rough with my nails, even damaging one of my cuticles. When I told her to be gentler and expressed that it was painful, she seemed to dismiss my concerns. As a result, my nails were left in a fragile and painful state for two days. She also ended up putting cuticle oil on top of my open wound, so this is not a sanitary place.
I am so glad I found this place! The staff was so so nice! I went in on a Tuesday around 1:45 and they got me right in. They kept apologizing because they were short staffed but I was able to get a pedicure and an SNS manicure in just over an hour. They took such good care of me! It's bright and clean. Their tools are all cleaned and they use liners for the pedicure baths, which I really appreciate! If I'm ever back in Austin I am definitely coming back!
I had been coming here over 2 years but will not be returning again. They seem to have undergone major staff changes. On my last visit 11 days ago, I asked to get a new set of dip nails and I was persuaded to get a new set of gel instead. The color started peeling & chipping off the next day, & progressively became worse. When I returned 11 days later they asked me "what do you do for work" and had difficulty understanding why I was wanting them "fixed", seemingly blaming me for the damage. They put a new color on only, not a new set & charged me $35, overall it was a $100 manicure. Great place to go if you want ugly peeling nails & love wasting money.
I don't typically get my nails done, but I wanted the "hailey bieber" chrome nails for my 21st. The lady was extremely nice and they offer drinks. I made an appointment for 3:30pm but didn't get seated until 4pm. They were very busy, so I understand getting pushed back. Just something to keep in mind if you're in a rush. The overall experience was great and everything was clean except for I could tell that the buffers and nail files were not new. The thing that bothers me is that when I look at my nails, there are gaps where I can see my natural nails. (Pics are from the day after.) Also, on my right hand, my ring finger's extension looks a bit crooked. Compared to my other fingers, it also seems to be glued at more of an upward angle (posted pics compared to my middle finger). It came out to $75 minus 10% with my student discount + $12 tip. I might just spend the extra $$$ next time to get the gaps and the extensions fixed.
After a long and busy week of stress, my boyfriend treated me to a mani and pedi from Relax Nails and Spa. Exactly. What. I. Needed. This new nail salon near UT just earned a new long term customer because the service, vibe and overall nail job was phenomenal!! My nail techs Daisy and Donna did an amazing job on my acrylics. I had no irritation and she did an amazing job shaping my nails. She respected all of my suggestions and gave me a wonderful nail job. I also had such a relaxing pedicure. Great massage chairs to tie up the experience. UT students get 10% off with their IDs so I will be taking advantage of that offer! Make sure you look through their chrome collection! The white chrome added such a nice touch to my acrylics! Thank you so much Daisy and Donna.
I've been coming to see both Van and Daisy for 10 years- they consistently do an amazing job on my hands and feet! I love getting the CBD pedicure- highly recommend and it smells really good! The salon is very calm, clean and sanitary and they wear masks as well. It's nice to be able to get your nails done and actually relax. They offer free garage parking as well, and it's conveniently located next to Via 313 and Cheba Hut, so it's nice to be able to walk over and grab lunch or dinner after.

I showed a photo of the nails I wanted and chosa color. I ended up with thick, uneven, bumpy Gel X extensions with glue touching my skin (that causes allergies.) The tech wanted to say "that is just how we do them." She gave the option of taking them off or fixing them- there was no way they could be fixed. I had them removed. THEN THEY ARGUED WITH ME AND CHARGED ME $15 for removal even though I said I would do it at home. My gel pedicure was $55 and she spent under 15 min on it and didn't remove my calluses or trim my bails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I just wasted my time and $70 on a service I did not even receive. read more

I am veeeery picky when it comes to my nails. I love this place! Vy (pronounced "Vee") did an excellent job with my acrylics. She took her time to make sure all of the details were perfect, including the shape and color. One thing I really love about this salon is that they will take your suggestions/input and incorporate it into your design so you are leaving with exactly what you want. The only reason for the 4/5 is that the cuticle clippers did not appear to have been sanitized; they were laying out and didn't come in a sealed autoclave bag, which can be a bit concerning. Overall, I will definitely be back. read more
