Awesome place to relax in the mist of SXSW. The environment screams (or should I say whisper) tranquility and the staff are extremely professional. The clean design of the place is comfy and I felt totally relaxed after my pedicure. read more

Great place for a day of pampering and chic nail polish, but I found the service slightly over priced

I had heard good things about this nail salon and had high hopes for a relaxing afternoon. I had organized manicures for myself and four of my coworkers to treat ourselves after a busy couple of months. Myself and my coworker I walked over with arrived last in our party and were immediately rushed to pick a color pretty quickly even though the place was not busy at all. My manicurist told me no fewer than five times how "dry" my cuticles were which I could have gone without. Also, my cuticles are completely fine according to my normal nail place. The length and care of my manicure was disappointing for what I paid. No joke, my manicure was done within 10-15 minutes. My coworkers were all in the mid stages of theirs when I was done. Don't waste your money here, there are plenty of close by salons with cheaper prices with greater attention to detail and customer service. read more

Lacquer Nail Salons offer the best manicures in the best environment with the best people for the best prices. I've been going to Lacquer exclusively since I found them because once you've found the perfect place there's no reason to look elsewhere. read more

Wow! This place is simply gorgeous. I really like the cleanliness of this place and the workers there are really friendly and easy to work with. I had Rosa to do my pedicure. She is a champ! She would share some tips on how to take care of my cuticles and very gentle as she work on my toes. Rosa is my now favorite pedicurist. But dont get me wrong, other workers are also wonderful! read more

I love this place! Every manicure I get from here is great, they never disappoint. The people are very nice, and it smells, and looks pleasant so that's a plus. read more

Very nice looking salon but the girl who did my pedi was very strange; said weird things, did weird things and did a horrible job on my pedi without a massage or applying lotion. It was an entertaining but uncomfortable experience. I don't plan to return. read more

Very airy and refreshing spot. I got a mani and the manicurist did a very good job. If in the city again, would definitely go back. I arrived about 30 minutes early due to the fact that I wasn't sure where I was going. No problem, they have a nice waiting area and I read until they were able to start. They were able to start my appointment about 15 early, which I appreciated. They only reason that I gave it only four stars is that the manicurist needs to work on making the customer feel a little more comfortable. For the first 20 minutes or so of my appointment she only said one sentence. A little awkward when someone is facing you only about a foot away and working on your hands. I didn't get a pedi but I did overhear the receptionist ask another client if she wanted her mani and pedi done at the same time. Anyone knows that great service and a time saver. read more

Scheduled a last minute appointment at this salon and couldn't be happier. The website was easy to navigate and had any option imaginable ready for me to book. My manicure service was great and greeting guests with a drink is a nice touch. If I wasn't just in town for a visit, I would frequent this salon. read more

Definitely a 5 star experience. Gorgeous space, free and easy parking and fabulous service. I almost fell asleep in the huge cushy chair while I was treated to a gel mani and regular pedicure. The massage pressure was perfect and so was the temp of the water(a pet peeve of mine). I was so excited to see all of the dead skin that Jessica got of my icky runner feet! Also the selection of colors was the best I have seen. I actually had someone stop me and ask my nail color the other day. I can't wait to come back! read more

Hit or miss experience....had a great experience with the women who did a gel pedicure on my toes....and an absoutley horrendous experience with the gentlemen who did my gel manicure...day 2 and it is already chipping...there are spots missing polish...avoid the man with the ponytail named TuTu at all costs! There is nothing calming about about this experience. Looking at my manicure now makes me feel stupid for wasting the money. Super sloppy job. read more

LACQUER - Baldy done gel manicure. - Nail Salons Near Me - Austin, Texas

Was traveling in Austin and needed to redo my gel mani which was peeling off. Found Lacquer and decided to give it a try. Easy to book appointment online. Was greeted warmly and offered a beverage upon arrival. Fantastic quality products and service. Received great care and a wonderful gel mani. Wish I had a Lacquer in my town in California. read more

Pretty awesome nail salon downtown. Easy to schedule an appointment right from your phone on yelp. Very sanitary. They let you keep the nail file and buffer they use since they don't re-use them. read more

Classy place that was easy to find - dry pedicures for the most part which she explained, it's just not my preference.

While the staff here is very friendly, the final product left something to be desired. I requested a toe polish and manicure. One of my pet peeves is when the technician does not paint the entire nail. Both my toes and fingers look like they are a week grown out and they were done today! I realize that my finger nails were a wreck (due to my biting habit), but my cuticles were not pushed back or trimmed. I also left with existing hangnails still on my hands. Lastly, I asked for a glitter top coat and it was put on so sloppily that I can see the outline, which doesn't match the main color underneath. It is creating an undesired 3D effect. I honestly felt like I wasted my money here. I have never posted a bad review, but I am so unhappy I feel like it is necessary. read more

Jessica made sure my first experience at Lacquer was well worth it. I love my nails and the IBX treatment that I received. I've been searching for a nail salon that provided quality service and I think I've found my new home. I'll see you all in a couple weeks. read more

Really great place downtown - in town for SXSW. Convenient and was able to get in tue afternoon. Pricey, but worth it as a treat. Great manicure!! Am thinking will last longer than my normal ones. read more

I'm new to the "nail scene" & so happy to have found a place at Lacquer. Jessica was amazzzingggg, thoughtful, precise and overall awesome. She took care of every little attention to detail, from cuticle trimming to polish application. $25 for a classic manicure - sweeeeet. I will definitely be back to see her. The space itself is very cool - clean, modern, fresh & basic. Tons of cool polishes to choose from, too. Go here if you're wondering where to get yur nails dun. read more

Franchon at lacquer was terrible. She was extremely rude. Worst pedicure I've ever had-no massage, just a quick scrub and a messy polish job along with an extremely rude technician. It's a shame because the salon itself is really nice. I'll never be back. read more

Terrible experience. My husband and I were in Austin for our Babymoon and decided to get some relaxing pedicures. We picked the wrong place to go. Biggest waste of $84 dollars. My husband had a young red head. He said there was not foot, leg massage, and his toenails look like they were torn off. He had to file them once we got home to keep them from snagging on things. Awful. My experience was better but still not pleasant. I had a great foot massage but no calf/ shin massage. The massage is the main reason I get pedicures. I can paint my own nails but I want a relaxing massage, removal of tough skin, and perfectly shaped nails. I had to shape my own nails once I got back to the hotel and the paint job only took up half my nail. The paint souls be as close to the cuticle area as possible without touching. All and all one of the worst pedicures we have ever had. Save your money. read more

Thank you to Carla and your wonderful staff for my awesome Mani/Pedi Happy Hour Party! As always the service was impeccable and what you would expect from a salon downtown... the prices are so reasonable and how convenient to have you in the heart of the warehouse district! Doesn't get much better than that! Two thumbs up and I highly recommend! Thanks again for making my day special!!! read more

Walked in as they opened this morning with limited time, Marz gave me a great mani, lovely conversation and a delicious mimosa, all while keeping my time frame in mind. My nails looked great and I've found someone I will keep coming back to. Loved everything about this new spot! read more

Had a great experience! My friend and I went in. They were able to book us both an hour later. We both enjoyed our pedicures (and the wine didn't hurt either) good choice of colors. Friendly people. Clean. Loved it! read more

I've been to lacquer twice this was my second visit and I was looking forward to it. I even booked an additional appointment for my boyfriend because my first experience was great. This second one was horrible! My boyfriend ended up with a very rude and condescending nail tech. She told him he couldnt have a normal pedicure BC something was weird with his feet but refused to elaborate simply saying "his feet weren't normal". Fine I get it you have to follow protocol; however, she then gave him a sub-par pedicure that only lasted 20 min. When we went to pay his short terrible pedicure ended up costing $5 dollars more than mine. Which is CRAZY!!! His pedicure was half ass-ed and didn't even include a polish. FYI Marz was the name of his nail tech. I think I wouldn't have been so pissed had she at least given great service and not looked down on us. Come on lady your doing our nails. Not the other way around. At the very least she could have pretended to have good customer service. His pedicure also started a good 15min after mine even though we were seated and greeted at the same time. I will never go back I've never been so humiliated and embarrassed. This was meant to be a treat for him. Luxury does not mean you can look down your nose at people. I've had better service at much cheaper salons. read more

Marta may have given me the best manicure I've ever had, and she was fun to talk to. I highly recommend Lacquer.

Marta is boss i tried out this place for the first time and I'll never go back to my old salon.

Great staff! They are very friendly and respectful. They have many different colors and options for nail polish companies. I go here every two weeks and will continue to! read more

It's ok. They do a good job but they don't put your feet in water or anything which I know a lot of people look forward to when getting a pedicure. They paint them nicely. Not worth price. read more

walking in the atmosphere felt as though i wasn't wanted there. i was told to pick a color and when i said i wanted a french tip pedicure i was told i should have told them over the phone if i wanted that because not all of them know how to do a french tip. they said one of them probably could do it but i decided not to change a bad french just cause i wanted it. i was just surprised a place like this wouldn't have employees who know how to do a french tip manicure. i scheduled my appointment online and there was an opening for 7 at night which i took. when i showed up they staff acted as though i was a late walk in and my technician told me that since it was late they would be doing an "express" pedicure. ummmmm im paying $45 for this it should not be rushed at all. overall not much extra is done for such a high price and i would much rather go to a place that charges less and does more. this was not worth the price... spend your money elsewhere. the staff isn't the friendliest, the service isn't great and the price is unnecessarily high read more

A group of friends and I were in Austin for a wedding and I had been given a few recommendations to get our nails done. When I looked online Laquer has a welcoming website and seemed to have a nice large salon to accommodate all 6 of us. We loved the choices in nail colors and my technician, Oriele was One of the best I have ever had. I would definitely come back again. read more
