I am probably the LAST person to realize that this is the same company that owns Stan's Donuts! But they didn't have any on site, oddly! :) We tried their pizza at Pizza Fest a while ago, and it was great! We just never got around to going since so many pizza places are in our neighborhood. We had a coupon for a free appetizer per the Stan's Donut race, so we figured this would be a good reason as any to stop in. We sat inside so we can see tvs, though 1 of them was frozen. Our server was busy but friendly and efficient. I didn't know also they had their own lager, so I tried that (it was good) and we got crispy brussel sprouts and skinny pan pizza with burrata and basil. I never heard of skinny pan! I liked to 'split the difference' where I get pizza thicker than thin crust, but not as heavy as pan/stuffed. It was as good as I remembered from pizza fest. For me the SAUCE is the most important in pizza: you can have the best cheese and bread in the world, but nasty sauce is not worth it! It wasn't too salty or too bland. We hosted our engagement party at Labriola a few weeks ago. We had about 100 people and we were given nothing but wonderful feedback. It was on the outside promenade, in late October, and was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. When we walked in, we knew it was "The Place". I was worried that it would be too cold, with it originally being an outdoor area, but it was not. The walls and heaters put up, made the room warm and comfortable. The room was beautiful, with a fun and cool vibe. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and I can't say enough about the staff. We worked with Alexa to plan the whole party and she was beyond helpful - Everyone was! They even threw in a few little fun touches at the end. Was seated very quickly and the hostess was very friendly and accommodating. I went with the margherita pizza, garlic knots and the pinky twist mocktail for my order. My server was extremely friendly and I love how I was told that the pizza would take around 25-30 minutes. The garlic nuts came out almost instantly, but they are absolutely delicious. They're not hard and they are sprinkled with Parmesan. And they're light and fluffy. My water is refilled often which shows that the workers care about their customers and are keeping an eye on tables. I finished all three garlic nuts, completely forgetting that I have a Margherita pizza to eat as well. The pizza arrived well done which I love. Got the deep dish with pepperoni and sausage. It was very good but not what I expected. It is focaccia style dough. Very airy and doughy. Not crispy at all. I was genuinely impressed by the warm welcome as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is located in Streeterville, known for good bars and restaurants, but more importantly, the location is within walking distance to everything. We ate in the private dining room where we made pizza, ordered pizza, and had a selection of amazing appetizers and desserts. I was absolutely blown away by the service, the quality, and most of all the taste of the food. rlly lovely experience at Labriola! although they're known for deep dish my friend and i were more in the mood for steak & pasta so we split the spaghetti and meatballs and the steak. the food was great but the service here is impeccable. we had 4 people at our reservation and 2 of them were an hour late, so it would have been perfectly reasonable for them to say they couldn't wait for them but they were so nice about it and didn't mind at all. while ordering one of my friends and i mentioned we were splitting 2 dishes and they brought out our meal already split for the 2 of us!! i've never rlly had service like that before and it was greatly appreciated!! the restaurant itself is HUGE so it's kind of a perfect stop if you're being touristy downtown & don't plan for a reservation because i doubt there's ever really a wait. read more

The mushroom pizza was pretty good. Loaded with mushrooms, cheese, and a truffle flavour. Deep dish pizza is not for me, but certainly seemed to be popular here. Keep in mind they take about 20-30 minutes to get that out for you so order once you get there. The peas gnocchi was alright. I enjoyed the texture of the gnocci but I think the sauce was lacking flavour. It was a bit plain for us. Meanwhile, I had ordered their seafood linguini. It was absolutely delicious! Do NOT order this. -oyster bay sauv blanc - y i k e s... on top of this coming out halfway through our meal (we thought they had forgotten and were going to be ok w that), they brought this wine out WARM. I hosted a group reception at Labriola during a conference. I was delighted with ALL aspects of the process, and the final event, help in The Library (I think that's the riht rooom name...) We had 36 guests. From the very start, my work with Rachael was a delight. There were several emails to negotiate my budget and to work out all the details. All communication was prompt and professional. The day of the reception, we were treated to the most amazing staff, Juan and Johanna, and all the others. The food came out right after we arrived - hot and cold appetizers - all delicious and beautifully-displayed! There was an ample amount of food for the cost. The wine and beer was served amazingly quickly whenever any one of us ordered. Everything was perfect and the location was diagonally across the street from our hotel. If I lived in Chicago, I would go back any time and do an even bigger event. I have to say that other venues I had called could not satisfy my budget and dismissed the smaller size of my party, but Rachael had absolutely NO problem. Labriola made me the hit of my conference! During my conference, I also happened to attend a Board dinner in a smaller private room, and it was fantastic too. Highly recommended for all your special event needs! read more

My original picture showed a correct preparation but what I was actually served was Alfredo sauce with a sneeze of pepper. We arrived in Chicago for just an overnight visit and asked our concierge for a good pizza place. This place does not disappoint. A very clean, roomy dining area with a bakery attached which was very popular. Staff was very attentive, professional and service was prompt, with exception for the pizzas which are understandably a wait (I believe our was 20 minutes and the place was almost empty when we were seated. ) We ordered the Danny special, 12", which it did not disappoint. The crust was light, flavorful and the sauce was perfect, (a bit sweet if you like that). There was richness on the meats and cheese. The pieces were cut in squares which made it easy to eat and not clumsy and awkward with larger pieces that are heavy and flop over onto your plate. A little late to the review. Went here for lunch with wife and kids about a month ago. The staff helped us get a table where we could put a high chair for our 9 mnth old. Our server made some good suggestions on what to order and also gave us a heads up on the eta beforehand. Going against the norm, we ordered the thin crust pizzas here. A custom veggie and a pepperoni. Both the pizzas were very yummy and the crust was nice and crunchy. Also tried the Burrata Caprese and the Brussel sprouts which were also very good. This restaurant was amazing but it was SO filling that I rolled back to the hotel after this one. HOWEVER- I have no regrets at all. We started off by having the most gorgeous bread- perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It wasn't greasy, it was coated well and the breading tasted great. A little lemon squeeze and a dip in the marinara sauce made these crispy calamari a 12/10. For the main course, I ordered the Eight Finger Cavatelli. I have never had noodles like these before- they were all pretty oddly shaped and very thick. The vodka sauce was amazing and the whipped ricotta elevated the dish to a whole new level. It was beyond delicious. We had dinner here last night with friends who were in town from the West coast. We all loved our meal. Our friends wanted deep dish but they also have kids who really enjoy steak and salmon. So I found Labriola near their hotel since it had everything on their list, and wasn't too pricey. And plus plus that you can make a reservation. :) My friend has actually had Giordanos and said she likes the sauce to meat ratio of the deep dish here. So I'm happy she enjoyed it. I ordered the shrimp cacio pepe. It was delicious! And a big serving, I had some to take home! My husband ordered the steak frites and he really liked it. It was a fair size and under $40! I wish they had a kids menu. But I ordered my 3 year old the 10" pepperoni thin crust pizza and it was perfect for her. She had 2ish sliced and then my husband was able to have a slice or two and then we took the rest home. We were sat at a long high top table right by the door. (There was 8 of us in total) when making the reservation..I should have added that we'd have 4 kids with us so that they'd slate a normal table for us. I did see bigger tables in the back when we walked to the bathroom. But I guess it's not that big of a deal. I will for sure be back!
