    Salad (restaurant week menu item)
    Claire C.

Came here with coworkers for lunch during restaurant week and had a great experience!! The restaurant itself is really cute, lots of seating and the ambiance is great. I'd definitely come back for a happy hour or drinks with the girls. Our server was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. I will say, we were only planning for lunch to be an hour and it ended up stretching into almost two. Not sure if this was because the place was busy with restaurant week or what happened, but was not prepared for a work lunch to go that long lol. I feel like the restaurant lunch deal was worth it - about $30 for an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Considering prices are generally high in the loop this felt pretty affordable. I got the stuffed peppers for an appetizer, the slow pork sandwich for my entree, and the strawberry tres leches for dessert. The peppers were really delicious. I thought they were the perfect size for one person for an app and I think that was my favorite course that came out. The slow pulled pork was also pretty good, but it was a pretty soft and messy sandwich. The strawberry tres leches was just alright - I wouldn't order it again on its own but I'm glad I tried it. My friends got the other menu options for restaurant week and enjoyed them. They liked the salad option and said the flat bread (I forget the actual name) was really good. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I have a deal or for a happy hour with coworkers!

Seville Chicago was a cute lunch spot. It's a little hidden, but a covered rooftop restaurant in the Loop with a really airy, light atmosphere inside. I got a delicious medi salad and really enjoyed the couscous and fresh veggies. I added some manchego and it was perfect. My friends enjoyed the burgers and fries. The service was great and the staff were friendly.

First time to Seville and loved it. Went to lunch with a friend during the week (rainy day so wasn't crowded at all). Very cool space with lots of natural light, nice big bar, and rooftop outdoor space. Service was solid. We shared the Manchego Bread which was served warm and so unexpectedly good. I had the Chop Salad + Shrimp (which were lightly fried) which I thought was excellent. This place would be a great spot for a work party, meeting up for cocktails, or just to eat lunch or dinner. Will come back 100%

The food and service were incredible! Loved the rooftop atmosphere. It was shaded nicely as well.

Stayed the night at the Canopy by Hilton and got to enjoy good food at Seville, the rooftop restaurant. We sat inside but did get to go out towards the patio to see the view of the city. We could see the canal and the Willis tower right next door. Besides the patio view, the decorations were elegant and beautiful. The food was also tasty! I was in love with the manchego bread! I got the roasted chicken and it was tasty as well. The service was also great, our waiter was kind and patient.

Came for restaurant week for lunch in the middle of the work week. The upstairs is spacious with nice vibes but the service was pretty slow which was disappointing since you'd think they would understand people have a limited amount of time for lunch. Small plates but the restaurant week food options were pretty good. I particularly enjoy the bolognese style pasta.

Came here for drinks and appetizers last summer with a friend and it was nice enough to sit on the rooftop area. Loved the relax and cozy vibes. Drinks were delicious! Came here again today for a work dinner. Had a couple out of town guests so decided to come here. This was my first time dining indoors and the ambiance of the place is cozy and the great lighting since the roof is made of glass! Again, the drinks were delicious! The saffron crispy rice was a great texture and good and will definitely get it again. The paella was good at first, until I had a couple mussels that just did not taste right. It did not taste fresh at all. At first I thought it was just me but then I had another mussel and same thing. So I decided to not finish the shellfish as it tasted funny and did not wantto get sick. Took away a star from my review because of this. Our server was super sweet though, very attentive and great. So didn't really want to bug her about it. Plus everything else was great so didn't feel it was a big deal. It may have been a bad batch. Dessert was pretty good - and shareable. I'm willing to give the food here another shot. A lot of my colleagues got the pastas and said it was delicious - so next time I will try that!

We came here for a team lunch and it was a really nice experience. We got seated in a booth but had to wait for our server for a little bit because it was quite busy. The place is very popular. I was a little surprised I didn't see but patatas bravas, but there was a lot of other great options. We had the Chicharrons, steak frites, the smoked pork sandwich, the beet salad, mushroom pinza, the king salmon, and the chocolate flourless torte. Everything was quite flavorful and delicious. It's a great option for the loop area. You might get a fantastic view of the formerly known as the sears tower building.

I came here for a team dinner while in Chicago for a work conference. We had a group of around 10 people and they were very accommodating (we had a reservation I think). My boss ordered appetizers for the table - the bread, stuffed peppers, and croquettes were amazing! Each appetizer comes with about 5 small bites, so we did need 2 orders of each for everyone to try it. There were multiple amazing-sounding options for "main" dishes, and I decided to try the ossobuco since I don't really make that on my own. The polenta was a little bland but pretty good consistency. The pork shank was very tender and I liked the pickled onions and chili pepper garnishes. If I came back, I would consider trying something else, like a flatbread. I tried the steak & fries, which was very good, and the bolognese pasta was good in that it tasted like a home-cooked meal. This was a great spot for a group!

Better than I expected for a place in the loop. All the food was pretty good and the staff accommodating to our big group. For apps, I really enjoyed the croquettes and the beef tartare. The octopus was a little too spicy for me and the peppers were just average. We also tried the chicherons with dinner and they were a nice crunchy side but nothing incredible. All three mains we had were outstanding with the best being the duck sausage which had a good amount of sausage and was yummy and creamy. The wagyu bolognese was across really good and the noodle shape held the sauce and meat nicely. I'm not big on mussels or clams but wow the paella risotto was also super tasty with a lot of good chunks of meat in it.

Okay so this place have been in my list of places to go . I wanted some paella and the menu seem as it the restaurant is gearing toward Spanish meals . When we got there , we were seated and we came around 3 pm and were given lunch menu , about 6 min later , a gentleman came and informed us that lunch was over and brought dinner menu instead . We started with the octopus and I was good . It was in a bed of potatoes , and pickled onions . It was grilled well and I wish it was grilled a little bit long yet. Make sure to squeeze some of those lemon on it to bring out even more taste . Then the paella came and it was small for 36$ I was expecting something a little bit bigger than the small size given . I tasted the paella and it didn't have any taste but salt. Oh it was salty that all I was tasting . It was missing flavor and lacking . (I informed our server and he took it back and took it off the bill ). Now the wagyu bolognese was really good and I really love it . It was perfect (my husband say the meat can be more soft but that's him ) it was perfect and delicious and seasoned well for me . I end up eating his since I was hungry . I wanted desert at first but after the paella not being good , I just didn't want to experience disappointment as I love tres leche and they have a strawberry one on the menu . I would come again maybe in the future and try other item . Their outside rooftop is under construction.(Another thing I was looking forward too but ....)

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

We made a reservation ahead of time, which I'd definitely recommend, but it wasn't overly packed and we were seated without any issues. The vibe in there is top tier. Dim lighting, live music energy, and just the right mix of chill and upscale. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. This was my second time here and I remember it being just as good back in 2022. The drinks were immaculate. I had two mocktails that were both well-balanced (not overly sweet, which I appreciate), and he ordered an old fashioned. People were standing right behind me to order drinks; I didn't feel overly crowded by any means but some who aren't used to that kind of bar/clubby vibe might feel that way. The music was a little loud to be heard over all the folks there, but I wasn't talking to anyone so it didn't bother me (was just sitting and reading a book). The bartender was really nice and attentive despite the fact that the place was so packed. I had a drink called the "Gentle Fish" which the bartender rec'd as a sweeter/more floral drink. Admittedly it was a little strong, but the flavor was nice! It was different from most other drinks I've had, and I enjoyed it. Was strong enough I definitely did not need another though. Of note, this place is downstairs under "The Hoxton" hotel, there's no entrance directly to the bar from the sidewalk/street (you have to enter the hotel lobby, then follow the signs toward the back and go down the elevator and/or stairs). There is a person who checks your ID when you enter and seats you if seats are available. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure about parking but street parking is definitely very limited; I imagine a paid lot would probably be the easiest thing or taking the train from wherever you're staying if you can (which is what I did).

My friend got some shots, which were surprisingly good given they were kind of sweet, and I ordered the "mystic lamp" cocktail ($16) which was VERY memorable to me as someone that loves floral drinks -- it was very floral, slightly fruity, and had a lovely chunk of lychee it came with which was delicious! The drink was decent sized too; I've been charged a lot more for much less drink at other speakeasies (those of which I don't plan to visit again any time soon haha). I was excited for the experience having heard how busy it gets, blah blah. These positive reviewers need to seek out other tiki bars. After you negotiate the alley entrance and go down dangerously dark stairs, you are met with crazy boring decor. I kept thinking there had to be more right? The whole point of a tiki bar is to strike a mood, but hanging a very few polynesian masks on the wall, putting up a grass facade over the bar and dressing the servers in vaguely polynesian outfits is sad. I've seen private tiki bars at people's homes that are more exciting. Add to this a comparably boring music selection played far too loud over boomy lo-fi speakers and you'll wonder what's going on here. So what about the food and drink? Completely uninspired for anyone who's had more than a mai tai before in their life. About a dozen extremely common drink choices is all you get!! No specials, that's it. When I asked if this was the whole cocktail menu, the server said it was but they have a full bar so you can get anything you want. Well, I could get that service at just about any bar in the world, so big deal. Maybe it would be better if you sat at the bar and chatted up the bartender. One could also go taste their rum selections and other cocktails in the Bamboo Room, but I hate that kind of elitist nonsense. That's never been what tiki bars were about. The drinks we sampled were okay at best. Even the namesake 3 Dots and A Dash cocktail was lackluster and used cheap cherries for the dots instead of classic Luxardos. (If you know, you know) The appetizers were okay, but way overpriced. 5 tiny spring rolls for $18. Come on guys, enough already. I'd rather go to the bar at the Polynesian Hotel at Disney than return here. This place is a hard pass.
