Food was excellent, but I just cannot get over the loud slamming of dishes from the waitstaff. We sat inside the covered area facing the street and towards The Peninsula. Every time a table was cleared the wait staff would just slammed LOUD I mean LOUD the dishes on the bucket trays and it was so annoying. Next time I would absolutely not sit outside and definitely not next to the place where they place the dirty dishes. Food was great and service was attentive so we will definitely be back.

Needed a sweet treat and Rosebud definitely delivered! The chocolate cake was hands down one of the best I've ever had--rich, moist, and absolutely delicious. Didn't try the food this time, but based on that dessert alone, I'll definitely be back to check out the full menu next time!

Amazing Italian food! I am so glad we came here. The staff was great and all worked together really well, which was so nice to see and kept things running smoothly. Highly recommend!

Came across Rosebud from a Google such of a brunch spot in the area. I ordered the hobo skillet (not a fan of the entree name) and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros (at an Italian restaurant SMH). The skillet is beautifully prepared but had no seasoning; salt and pepper is a must. The huevos rancheros was deconstructed...they over poured verde sauce on a tortilla shell which made it soggy at first bite. She didn't finish it. I won't be a return a customer.

The food is fine and I got veal Parmesan with a side dish of pasta. We had the tiramisu for dessert. Service is okay, we got check in couple times through out the dinner.

Rosebud on Rush is an upscale Italian restaurant group in Chicago that's warm, welcoming, delicious, and epitomizes what Chicago is. There are multiple locations, and Rosebud on Rush was the first stop in my Chicago family reunion/food tour and set us up for a great time. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Rosebud on Rush is an inner-city restaurant you see in movies. It's busy, dimly lit, full of customers and energy, and feels like it's been here for years. While the Chicago night was cold and rainy, Rosebud was warm and welcoming. Each table had clean, thick white table clothes and perfectly matched settings. We sat in the second-floor dining area. 1 Star. Service - Not only was service good, but it also seemed like we had an army of servers helping our table. Each had their own role, which they handled with precision and care. As soon as a new dish came out, they would take our dirty plates. If I needed something, it was taken care of. I even came from the airport, and the Rosebud staff stowed our luggage while we dined. 1 Star. Food - We ordered a number of appetizers for the table, but the most memorable for me was the Caprese Salad. With the colors of the Italian flag, the fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato was a cool palette cleanser for my main meal. I chose the Bone-In Chicken Vesuvio style. The chicken breasts were pounded thin and sat in a delightful garlic and lemon broth. Four large potato wedges surrounded by the tender, flavorful chicken. The potato wedges were made to be eaten with the delicious broth. It was one of the best dishes I've had at an Italian restaurant. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. There are multiple locations, but I plan on returning to this location because it's conveniently close to the Magnificent Mile. 1 Star.

Fantastic meal and outstanding service! I had a wonderful experience at Rosebud on Rush. Our waitress, Angela, was absolutely amazing -- warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcomed. Exceptional service can elevate a meal, and Angela did exactly that. We really appreciated her! I ordered the medallions cooked "chef's choice", and they were perfection. Tender, flavorful, and literally melt-in-your-mouth delicious. One of the best steak preparations I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was classic and inviting, and the entire experience felt like a treat from start to finish. If you're looking for great food paired with exceptional service, Rosebud on Rush is the place -- and definitely ask for Angela!

This restaurant is the solid restaurant you go to when you want a step up from Olive Garden. They have huge portions and something that would suit everyone's taste. The food itself was a bit bland and didn't really stand out. Their tiramisu is so yummy and a huge portions. The ambiance is that of a typical huge Italian restaurant.

I hadn't been to Rosebuds in a few years, but tonight's dinner was very disappointing. The last I remembered, there was a piano player in the basement for a very intimate atmosphere. Dining there tonight was anything but intimate. There's no longer a piano player but there are now TV's playing college football. The vibe of the restaurant has changed so much. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. Our server was good and told us how things have changed over the years. This was certainly not the anniversary dinner I was hoping for.

I was dining here last night with my dad when one of the servers, Celia, walked past us. She had the cutest rose pin on her shirt & I complimented her pin. Moments later, she returned to our table (she was not our server), removed the pin, and GAVE it to me!!! She said she wanted me to have it. I truly cannot express my gratitude towards her, & am in awe of the kindness she showed me. This seriously made my week! Such a sweet soul Of course the food here is amazing. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken 10/10. Our server recommended the Calabrese chicken & tiramisu, 1000/10. Overall an incredible experience. Such kindness from the entire staff The outside dining area is lovely !!!

I came in for a work lunch and the service was great. Everything came out super fast and the servers were very attentive. They gave us the rundown on all their specials and we ordered quickly. The steak salad was amazing! The cut of meat was perfectly cooked. The ambiance was nice as we were seated in the lower level by the bar. The restaurant is white tablecloth and felt very elevated- even at lunchtime.

Cozy Italian restaurant located near the magnificent mile in Chicago. They brought out warm bread with olive oil and cheese. I love warm bread so it was a really nice start to the meal. We had the meatballs and calamari to start. The meatballs came on a bed of polenta and was very good. The calamari came with a really good red sauce. If I had to choose between the two, I would just get the meatballs. For my entree, I had the orichietti with sausage and broccolini. I appreciated having a pasta dish that had both a protein and a vegetable. It was very lightly seasoned with olive oil and a slight spice. It was a bit plain and I'd probably try something else rather than get it again. The restaurant is actually quite big with several levels but tables are places close together so it has that cozy Italian restaurant feel to it. Service was good. Good place for Italian food if you're in this area.

This is a solid Italian option in Chicago. I really appreciate the clear labeling of gluten free items on the menu. The vibe in the restaurant is nice and it is a great spot to bring out of towners for nice Chicago italian. We did have a reservation and had to wait at the front for about 20 minutes for our table, it was very crowded and hard to find room to wait. When we were enjoying our meal we did feel a bit rushed as well. I know this is a popular restaurant but I took a star off because I think reservations could be organized a bit better. Would be happy to come back again!

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. Why would you not order a flight to try a variety of drinks all at once? We had the hibiscus lemonade and matcha flight, the mango con crema and banana con crema were the standouts. The staff--at least the person who helped me--didn't feel super welcoming. Not that they were rude, just not particularly warm either. I get it though, because even I get a little irritable when it's hot, so maybe that played a part. What I love the most is that it's Latina-owned, and that's something I truly admire. I always try to support Latino entrepreneurs when they're doing things right, and this place is definitely doing something creative. We ordered two flights--one with coffee and one with matcha. Each flight comes with four small samples, and they were all seasonal fall flavors, which I thought was such a fun and unique idea. It's cool because you get to try different drinks in little cups, almost like a tasting experience. The coffee flight (we got it iced) was amazing--the flavors were bold and had that strong coffee taste I personally love. The matcha flight was also fun, but I would have preferred a stronger matcha flavor in some of them. They also have plenty of milk options--we ordered ours with oat milk and it was delicious. On top of that, they have a pretty wide food menu with bagels, sandwiches, wraps, and more. We tried the tuna sandwich and it was really good, definitely worth recommending. The café has little chairs outside, the vibe inside is cozy, and I loved that they were playing Spanish music. That's something you don't usually find in most coffee shops here, and it gave the place extra personality. The only thing I'm still unsure about is the price. For two flights (coffee + matcha) and the sandwich, the total was around $55. Maybe that's a bit expensive--or maybe it's just the nature of ordering flights, since I had never tried that before. Either way, it was worth it for the experience and the flavors. In short, it's a cute, cozy, and creative spot that's definitely worth checking out--especially if you're into seasonal flavors, want to try something unique, and love supporting Latina-owned businesses in Chicago.
