This restaurant is very tasty and has so much food to choose from. I personally order the Sinbala sausage rice and a side of more sausage with garlic. I usually just eat the rice meal by itself and cook more rice to eat with the sausage later (it may seem a lot but you wont even know you have had finished it all till it's all gone). I also ordered the lemon black tea which is so good too because it isn't too sweet or sour just perfect. The only con about the restaurant is that it only accepts card if you had purchased over $30. We got their popular "Sausage with Rice" which is a nicely flavored sausage with a slightly sweet flavoring. I enjoyed it, but probably not to the degree where I would go out of my way for it. The Pork Chop Rice here, which I maintain is the TRUE standard by which any Taiwanese lunch spot is measured, is old school in all the right ways: it feels like a bento someone's 阿姨 made for her kids' field trip. The pork chop is lightly breaded and fried, set over a bed of rice sensibly sprinkled with minced pork, with a healthy portion of cabbage alongside steamed corned and tomato scrambled eggs. Everything I just listed is a very familiar, very authentic preparation of Pork Chop Rice that any Taiwanese kid raised in the 90s will be familiar with. Sure the pork chop could be fattier and more fried, the minced pork could use some more pork belly, and I would personally swap out the tomato scrambled eggs (I hate egg), but you gotta give it up for such a timeless, old school, and relatively healthy 台灣便當... and honestly, even for someone who can't stand eating egg, I'll even have a few bites of the tomato scrambled eggs they do here. Sin Bala used to be THE spot for Taiwanese food but over the years, it has gone downhill for me. I recently came back to get some authentic Taiwanese food from here and tried their Zha Jiang Mien, Sausage Rice, Green Onion Pancakes, and Dry Minced Meat Noodles. I would just like to say that their Zha Jian Mien is probably one of the worst I've ever tried. The flavor was not there and the noodles were so watery. I don't even know why there was so much liquid in the noodles because this type of dish is suppose to be a "dry" based noodle dish. The Sausage Rice was pretty decent because how can you really mess that up? The portion size is huge for this dish. My favorite is probably their green onion pancakes because I'm a big sucker for those. It was flaky which I liked but there wasn't that much green onions in there. The service was quick and straight forward for the most part. After slightly glancing at their overwhelming menu, we decided on getting a Sinbala Sausage Rice ($8) and a Fried Pork Chop Rice ($8). Their portions here are HUGE!! I noticed the entrees come with a hefty amount of rice topped with minced pork, seasoned cabbage, tomato egg and corn on the side. The Sinbala Sausage is a Taiwanese sauce thinly sliced on the diagonal. It is a bit sweet but not all that flavorful in my opinion. I can't say I'm a fan. On the other hand the Fried Pork Chop was heavenly. There was a nice crispy crust that gave it a nice crunch with a burst in flavors as you bit into the pork chop. It was a bit oily, but still very delicious. I highly recommend the Fried Pork Chop Rice if you enjoy pork chops. Overall I think the prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. I can see how this place gets busy during peak lunch and dinner hours. This is a great place to eat at if you don't like your waiter/waitress coming by too often. It should be a sin to have food this amazing. SinBala is THE place to get your Taiwanese eats on when you are in Arcadia. This places trumps all the rest. The place is in the corner of the plaza so you have to drive in to find the place so don't just drive by! You don't want to miss out! The servers are super attentive and ready to refill waters and picking up finished dishes and helping you pack your doggie bag. As for the food, my go-to is the Taiwanese sausage rice. The Taiwanese sausage is handmade and it isn't too fatty. Perfect sweetness and a perfect snap with you bite into casing. Comes with a side of eggs and tomatoes, boiled veges, and mixed peas and corn. Other dishes you must try: pork chop rice, fried chicken rice, dumplings, and asian tamales. As for desserts and drinks, the boba milk tea is one of my favorites. It has that strong tea flavor that isn't watered down with the ice and milk. Taiwanese cuisine! Love the concept of the Taiwanese sausages with different kinds of topping to enhance it and label them Fusion Taiwanese food! We ordered sausage with Garlic Sausages with peanut butter Beef noodle soup Oyster pancake Green onion pancake The only thing that was a disappointment was the Oyster Pancake. Barely any oysters and it was just soggy.. yeah, soggy with the green veggie inside.. P.s.- They get busy, so you might have to put your name down and wait a bit. read more

For years, I've always been a fan of entrees #1-3 on their menu (Sinbala Sausage Rice, Fried Pork Chop Rice, and Fried Chicken Leg Rice, respectively). For $7.50, you get a simple yet tasty and filling meal. Sin Bala's #29 Steam Mini Pork Buns are also worth giving a try. They're pretty satisfying, and well-executed (a geyser of juice will invariably burst from the skin and splatter over your face and shirt if you are not careful with your first bite). I think they're *probably* not the best I've ever had, but they're still good. I was somewhat disappointed with the #181 Boba with Brown Sugar Drink. For $4, I would pass. The boba quality was quite high (consistently moist and chewy), but the liquid portion of the beverage just left something to be desired for me. :/ Water is served in Styrofoam cups, which I honestly found to be a bit on the tacky side. On the other hand, I suppose that does improve the hygiene factor (no worries of incompletely/improperly cleaned water glasses), and I guess it's in keeping with the fast and casual nature of the restaurant. The service provided by the staff here is fast, to the point, and no-nonsense. They seem to bring out quite a few dishes within 5 minutes (or so), and will apparently give you a heads up if a given dish will take 10-15+ minutes to prepare (such as the #29). Customer seating is okay if your intent is to quickly eat and vamos, but it'll prove increasingly uncomfortable over time if you want to lounge with your dining companions and enjoy a leisurely-paced meal. I wouldn't plan on spending more than 30 minutes eating here. The adjacent parking lot seems chronically packed. Consider yourself lucky if you can find a free spot without having to circle the lot at least once. read more
