It's places like this that have survived throughout the years that make me want to go back and back! The food is comforting and tasty. And the staff is friendly and just so nice!! I wish it was located closer but when in the area and comfort food is needed, this always hits right!

Classic Taiwanese spot! I love how nostalgic the food feels here. If you're looking for authentic Taiwanese cuisine, this is definitely a place to check out. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance felt humble and warm. Portions are also very reasonable. I ordered the popcorn chicken, stir-fried A choy, and braised pork belly over rice. The dish came with sides of corn, tomato, and egg, as well as Taiwanese cabbage. I loved how balanced everything was. The pork was soft, flavorful, and super tender, with a great ratio of fat to meat. Of course, the popcorn chicken was also very well made--crispy, well-battered, and full of classic flavor. The A choy is something I can never recreate at home! The aromatic garlic and seasoning they use to stir-fry the vegetables is sooo good! TLDR: Definitely worth the visit for a humble spot serving authentic Taiwanese food!

Went for my routine since I was in the area. Always a happy feeling. Food was good and flavor was nice. The spicy sausage was good with the pork shop dish

This place was a staple growing up, and I've been here countless times. This was my first visit back in years, and I was happy to find it's still just as good as I remember. They serve all the Taiwanese classics, and everything we tried tasted great. We ordered these items to share: Taiwanese Sausage Rice - There's something about this place's sausage that tastes different from others. It's always good. (5/5) Popcorn Chicken - Super crispy with tons of flavor. I'd definitely recommend getting this. (5/5) Beef Noodle Soup - I liked that it wasn't overly spicy or packed with oil. The broth was just right and very tasty. Delicious. (4.5/5) Shaved Ice - We got the custom option where you can choose five different toppings for around $13. It was good, though I'm not crazy about the syrup they added. Still refreshing. (4/5) Overall, this place is comfort food and pure nostalgia for me. Prices were reasonable, with our total coming out to about $55 for all four dishes. I'd definitely come back when I'm craving classic Taiwanese food.

Haven't been to Sinbala in like 8 years but it still hits the spot. Got the fried pork chop with dried vermicelli noodles, beef noodle soup, spicy wontons, and of course the Sinbala sausage. Food came out quick and tasted fresh. The pork was crunchy and juicy and side - not dry at all. The beef noodle soup impressed me. A lot of Taiwanese places make it super beef focused almost like a beef concentrate. This one used a lot of other herbs and reminded me of some bowls I've had in Taipei. The sausage classic as always. 5 stars for high quality food at an affordable price. A nostalgic spot for Taiwanese in the SGV

+ a small little restaurant with easy parking since it shares with multiple other shops and restaurants + authentic and delicious + clean + sausage was tasty! + beef noodle soup was delicious and packed with noodles and beef! + lots of items to choose on the menu

Spicy beef noodle soup - the best beef noodle soup out of all the places I've tried.... Beef is tender. Love the texture of the noodles

One of the best places for spicy beef noodle soup. The broth is so strong and flavorful. The beef is tender. The noodles are nice and chewy. It's served with preserved veggies that are just the right sourness. Must order. We also order the Taiwanese Sinbala sausage with garlic slices. The sausages are so yummy. Something about that flavor that just makes you want more. Remember to bring mints cause it'll definitely make your breath smell. This visit we also ordered the squid ball noodle soup. The squid balls are specially made and are nice and chewy. The broth was thick and tasty. Definitely will be back. Service was minimal. They gave us self serve large container of water. It's located in a mid size plaza with sufficient parking.

This is a great place for both food and dessert. For food, we got the sausage rice, fried pork chop rice, popcorn chicken, and a spicy beef noodle soup. My favorites here are the rice dishes. The rice dishes usually come with some egg and tomato, corn, and steamed cabbage. The sausage and fried pork chop were both good. The fried pork chop was boneless, tender, and not overly fried. The popcorn chicken was just ok. Some of the meat was a bit hard/dry and visually some pieces just did not look very appealing. I would skip this next time. The beef noodle soup was on the spicier side. The dish had two pieces of beef, some cabbage pieces but no other green veggies, and they use a thicker noodle. The broth is dark and flavorful. It was not bad but I prefer the rice dishes over this. For dessert, we got a custom shave ice that comes with 5 items. We picked lychee, red bean, taro balls, rice balls, and condensed milk. It comes in a big bowl so easy to share. It is also already topped with a brown sugar syrup so the condensed milk might not be necessary. I always enjoy getting one of these at the end of our meal! Located in a plaza with easily accessible free parking. Service is quick. Ambience is casual/basic and decent for an Asian restaurant (but keep your expectations low). One of my favorite spots for Taiwanese food and shave ice!

La SinBala is a true mom-and-pop Taiwanese cafe serving up comfort food that hits the spot every time. It's tucked in a busy Arcadia plaza with plenty of parking, making it an easy stop for lunch or dinner. The food is classic Taiwanese comfort, we loved the beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, and beef rolls. Everything came out super quick, portions were generous, and you will definitely leave full. It's especially fun to go with a bigger group so you can order a variety of dishes to share. Service isn't the warmest, but it's efficient enough for how fast the food comes out. Just note there's a $30 minimum for credit cards, so plan accordingly. All in all, a reliable go-to for hearty, authentic Taiwanese food in the SGV.

We always eat here when we head up towards the area! It's my favorite Taiwanese cafe for their famous Taiwanese sausage and their 8 treasure shaved ice. We will also order other items but those two are our staples. We also always order packages of frozen raw sausage to bring home for some easy and delicious meals. The to go sausage packs are $15...which has increased over the years but my family loves it so much that we buy it regardless! It's funny how we ordered the cold chicken noodles and it actually comes out in a prepackaged to go container even though we are dining in. This place is definitely not about presentation but we love the authentic home style foods. Service is friendly and no nonsense. They provide your own water pitcher to refill your own waters. There are also napkins on the table.

This place is a must go if you're looking for authentic Taiwanese food. I've been going to this place since I was a kid, and the flavor has kept through the years. If it's your first time, I recommend getting the classic Sinbala Sausage Rice, it will not disappoint. It comes with 2 "side dishes" too, and it has always left me feeling full by the end. The service was quick and staff was very nice. The restaurant itself has more of a homey feel, and there's ample parking in the lot outside.

Grew up coming here for Taiwanese food, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. The Taiwanese sausage plate is my favorite, it's so good, and I always grab a pack of the frozen sausages before I leave. Overall, everything here is good. Prices have definitely gone up over the years, but the food is still very good. The servers were friendly, and the atmosphere is simple and comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic Taiwanese food.

ICONIC TAIWANESE RESTAURANT. They used to have one in the Bay area where I lived, but that location closed. Whenever my parents come to visit SoCal, we make sure to have this place! What we got: scallion pancake (10/10 yums): I really liked how crispy the scallion pancakes were. They weren't too oily and I felt like they had a nice amount of flavor to them. shrimp wonton noodle soup with vermicelli (10/10 yums): As someone who really likes to drink soup, this was not too salty and I liked the wontons that were in it as well. It was a small piece of shrimp with some ground up pork. Overall, very good! boiled veggies (10/10 yums): honestly, my parents ordered this so I'm not too sure what kind of veggies they were, but they were part of the appetizer with the meat sauce on top. We opted to not have the meat sauce because my dad is vegetarian and it was still very good! vegetarian dumplings (10/10 yums): very good! I liked how the filling was a mixture of vermicelli and veggies. My only problem with this one was that the top of the dumpling skin was a little thick and wasn't cooked all the way through. veggie oyster omelette (10/10 yums): love how they have a vegetarian option of this! I really liked it and it was super classic. There was a good balance of the egg vs. mushroom and the rice flour inside. Overall, great place for Taiwanese food! Parking is easy as there is a big lot. I also recommend the shaved ice if you are there during summer!

How much does one pound of frozen sausage cost?

I cannot read Chinese but I posted the prices of the frozen items on Yelp!

Do they have a credit card minimum?

    Yes, $30.

Is the Taiwanese sausage similar to Char sui sausage? Ever since Paul's Kitchen in Monterey Park closed I've been trying to find similar or better.

Yes, I would say it's similar! Bring cash because I don't think they take card.

Do they have new hours and what time do they stop picking up the phone?

How are they operating during Covid? Is it different?

They will tell you that last order time was 2:30, and you can stay till 3:00pm. But after 2:30, the server will take back your food which you're still working, twice, without asking if they can take it. When I stop the server, she told me rudely…

Does anyone know why Sinbala Arcadia is closed since Wednesday 8/19/2020? Isn't it's business hours Wednesday through Sunday (11-7 pm; closed 2-4pm)? Have been calling trying to support them by ordering pick but no one is answering. Thanks.

I heard from a friend of the owner that the owners may be taking a break for their health. Difficult times...I miss their food too.

Is this place open? I want to order and pickup food.

The wife special noodle was good as well. It reminded me of a cross between tomato egg noodles and dry beef noodles. I really liked the doughy, dense texture of the noodles, although the egg was pretty salty and the beef was a little tough. We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. They absolutely nailed the execution, from the tender, flavorful meat to the texture of the bread. I would come back for this alone. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Such a great addition to Arcadia and easily one of the better Xi'an spots I've tried in the area.

This place has some items that are amazing and other ones that you can just do without…read more I came here for Dine La for lunch and here's what I felt about their menu. First off, the takoyaki octopus balls were full of flavor. I feel that this place does them really well. You don't feel overwhelmed by any seafood tastes and instead, you get well balanced flavor throughout every bite with the combination of the ball itself, the sauces and the flakes on top. Next is the omurice. The egg is cooked to perfection and tastes absolutely amazing. The curry, however, which was recommended by the waiter over the Demi glaze, tasted exactly like the Vermont curry cube you get in the grocery store, so I'm not sure why he recommended that over the Demi glaze. The fried rice within the omurice was alright too. Originally, I wanted to get the tonkatsu omurice but got it on the side as the choice wasn't available for the lunch menu. I would suggest doing without the tonkatsu because it was dry and there's a million and one places that can do tonkatsu better than this place. Honestly, I wish I had the opportunity to cut the omurice myself and choose how much curry I put on it, but the staff did that instead, which I guess made for a good video, but took away from my innate desires to cut the egg on my own haha. Next, the ramen tasted pretty basic like what you could get at any ramen shop. For the chicken wings, I've never had chicken wings in this flavor. They were really really good and I would definitely recommend the wings. For the desserts, I enjoyed both the matcha and the snow globe. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, however. The snow globe is a gelatin and it doesn't really have too much flavor until you get to the parts with the flower. Plus the little clear balls have a nice flavor and texture. For the matcha, it has an interesting texture and then an interestingly light, yet deep matcha flavor. Oh the drinks. The Thai tea tastes exactly like how it does everywhere else. The amazing lemonade is a lemonade with a few slight modifications, like with cucumber and maybe some other things as well. For the service, it's pretty good here. Everyone is pretty attentive. There are three things at the table, such as cayenne pepper and two other bowls you can add to your dishes to add flavor. I forgot the name of the one I liked but it looked kind of like pork floss or loose tea, and that one had a lot of flavor. I think what's most appealing about this place is the ambiance because you can like sit in a honeycomb, there's fancy designs everywhere and you feel like you're in a different place. I think it's a good restaurant but it's kind of weird how some things here are amazing and some are just okay.

OMFG! My husband grew up in LA So he grew up on the real real Asian food. In SB we have a fave spot…read morebut coming from Taiwan, Beef Noodle soup is home to him, so he drags me into any place he can find when we're traveling up and down the coast. Who would've guessed that the BEST Beef Noodle Soup would have been in the middle of Arcadia. The BEST. And the pork & shrimp dumplings some of the BEST we've had in SF and LA top spots. The cold jelly dish (mung bean) is AMAZING. Who knew such a small unassuming mom and pop shop could rival some of the Michelin spots we've ventured to. But honestly, most food that's made like your Mama made it is obviously gonna be better than any restaurant you ever go to. This is like they just happened to have a restaurant in their home. The food came out almost immediately, that broth had been cooking to perfection for who knows how long. Every bite of every dish was PER-FEC-TION. Just WOW. Thank you Auntie!!

So I took my kids to this place on a Saturday night, there were only two tables when we got in. So…read moreI took a look of the menu, and ordered the tomato egg noodles, hun-yuan cold jelly and beef noodle. When the tomato egg noodle arrived, I was surprised by how little the sauce was compared to the amount of noodles, probably 2 tablespoons of sauce on top of the noodles and a few shredded cucumber. The cold jelly, according to the pictures, supposed to have some shredded bean curd and beans on top but again there was a few shredded cucumber on top of it and that was it. So I ask the server why the food looks different from the picture and she just answered "That's just how it is". Based on the amount of food we got, everything was overpriced. From my understanding this place was Michelin rated in 2021, I'm not sure how they got it, but quality definitely was not like that when they were rated. While I was paying, I saw the worker took out some frozen meat and placed them on the floor. - I mean are you serious ? ? I don't usually leave for reviews, but what they did really made me concerned about the food safety there and I want people to know. I'm sorry, but I don't think I will come back.

Usually get the Gizzard (#2) or the Braised Pork (#3). Portions are huge and if you're not feeling super hungry, this can definitely work as 2 meals. There's also toppings such as green onion, cilantro, etc that are self served. Other reviews say soup can get pretty spicy, but it's not too bad. This is coming from someone who has a very low spicy tolerance. Noodles are as cheap as $11 straight up with no tax charged. They're mainly a cash business but also accept Zelle. We usually get to go so they already prep it in a to go container. Heard they usually charge extra if you ask for a to go container separately? Overall this place is my definition of comfort food. You can call your order in ahead of time if you don't want to wait. It's also nice to grab some Milk Tea at the vendor next door to balance out the oil and spice from the soup.

What's so special about their noodles? Let me tell you, they are very special. Simple soup bowls with rice noodles that don't stick together, topped with good portions of protein choice primarily beef flank, braised pork, pork intestine, pork trotter (aka pig's feet), crispy pork, or chicken gizzard, plus roasted peanuts and your condiments of choice. I chose #3 Braised Pork Rice Noodle and #9 Crispy Pork Rice Noodles Signature to-go. OMG, I was super surprised by the soup savoriness and flavorfulness. SO GOOD! The noodles were a generous amount and you can slurp them very easily. Pork portion and size were more than adequate. VERY TASTY! The roasted peanuts were great tasting... it brought back some nostalgia... nice addition to the bowl! They have a condiment station (red hot chili, hot chili oil, spicy pickled daikon, spicy pickled cabbage, spicy green onions, green onions, cilantro) where you can get as much as you would like for your bowl. Do you see a trend? Lots of spicy condiments! Staff ladies were really friendly and nice. They didn't speak much English. I just pointed to the items I wanted. Prices were very reasonable... $11 - $15 per bowl. Payment options are cash or Zelle only. Funny, I didn't have enough cash on me so I left to go to the bank to get cash. They didn't start making my order until I returned. It wasn't an issue because it literally took them a few minutes to make the bowls. Wait time was nothing. Restaurant front was clean. Shared seating is available inside the President Square Food Court. Free parking at the President Square in Arcadia. Highly recommend Mojie Noodle! #1 Guilin Style Rice Noodles is their top seller. Too bad I don't eat beef anymore otherwise I would get it. I hope they add fish to their bowls in the future. I'll be back to dine-in for more tasty rice noodle bowls even if I stick with pork or I might even try their chicken gizzards.
