La Gloria is a Mexican restaurant in Bothell very near 405. It has a sizable bar that shares restaurant space with an Asian restaurant called Inchin's Bamboo Garden. The receipt calls out both restaurants. I met a friend for an early dinner and ran into a sizeable group of office workers who were there for happy hour. They were loud! I asked if we can move tables, and the server accommodated moving us to a table on the Inchin side of the restaurant, which didn't appear to be open that day. Phew, it was so much quieter; we didn't have to yell at each other anymore. Service was smooth and swift. A copy of their menu can be found on their FB page but subject to change. Parking is readily available at the building complex-lot. The Food: Quesabirra Tacos, $16 - 4 Stars This order includes two tacos, with a side of beef consommé for dipping. Diced onions and salsa round out this dish. The slow cooked shredded beef is very tender and flavorful. The consommé has pieces of beef to fish out. I dipped with the salsa instead. For the ambiance of being in a restaurant, this dish is good. If I only want tacos, there are taco truck options that are just as good at a lower price. Enchiladas Poblanas with Chicken Tinga, $16 - 4 Stars My friend orders this dish regularly. The enchiladas are topped with a creamy roasted poblano pepper sauce. It is not a spicy dish. Good for those who wants a departure with tomato-based sauce. They gifted a refried bean tostada to all diners.

So happy I chose this spot for my celebration dinner (got a job I was hoping for)! The vibe is so cute and festive and I really dig the colors and overall ambiance, which is big for me. The staff were all great from what I saw as well. I found it odd that La Gloria is connected to Inchin's Bamboo Garden and there is just a decorative half wall separating them. We were sat at said wall because we had a minor with us. Very unique indeed. I will say service was a bit slow, but it was pretty full inside. This is not a big restaurant by any means. It's much more intimate and mostly a bar. But the food! Clearly the owners are from Michoacán which is where my gf is from, and she was so excited to to try the enchiladas from her home state. Everything was sooooo good! I plan to return with adults only and try more selections.

La Gloria is tucked along the edge of the Bothell industrial park and offers outdoor seating, perfect for a warm day. Servers were very friendly, despite service being a bit sluggish. We ordered a side of chips and salsa and a couple fajita bowls and were served a complimentary tostada appetizer after ordering. Tortilla chips were freshly fried and salsa had a mild-medium kick to it. The fajita bowl was great value for all the protein and fixings that come with it. It came out piping hot and all the ingredients tasted fresh. We did feel a bit overwhelmed by all the fried tortilla we consumed, but left feeling full and content.

Jicama Tacos (3 Pcs) Ask for the sauce on the side and that way you can add other salsas.

Delicious hidden gem. I can't believe I didn't know about this place. The jicama tacos are a wonderful gluten free option. I asked for the sauce on the side so I could try the other salsa with them. I am so glad I did. The carne asada tacos were really good. The salsa that comes with the chips was super good and I added it to my tacos. They also give you a complimentary tostada per person. You can ask for no cheese. The service was really good as well. The place is primarily a bar with a few tables in the under 21 section. But well worth coming to this place with kids. The food is great.

After all this time, we finally made it to La Gloria. The dining room was lively with almost every table occupied, they've extended the dining room to include a place where minors are welcome, service was excellent, and prices were very reasonable. The complimentary tostada in the beginning was a nice touch. We had the roasted veggie queso appetizer that came with fresh and hot house-made corn tortillas and chips, and fresh salsa. I ordered the Chicken Tinga roasted poblano enchiladas. My husband had the Carne Asada and a Diet Coke. The queso portion was huge. More like a four person appetizer. If you get a brown slightly burnt bit and covered it with a little bit of that salsa, it was amazing. My enchiladas were also very good and what I expected. The sauce definitely made it. I'm glad I got it, but I would probably try something different next time. My husband's Carne Asada was perfectly grilled. The Charro beans were delicious. Between the two of us, we could not finish our food so we took home enough for one person to have a full meal tomorrow. Our total bill was $66. We will definitely return!

It's so hard to find a date night spot in the area which is open past 8:30pm! La Gloria really delivered. We loved the service, the vibe, the food and the drinks here! Although we came with a 3month baby and they are primarily a bar, they sat us in a separate area in the back, which was also less noisy. The vibe was lively - there was music and plenty of people having a good time. There was also a large family group of 20+ in the non-bar section, so you know they're family friendly. The staff was super sweet, and checked on us multiple times throughout the night - something I feel like I'm experiencing less at other restaurants? It was really nice as they were on top of it when we needed another drink or an extra napkin, etc. We got sat right away, and as my husband was always hungry, ordered right away too. They bring out a complimentary small bite of a type of large cracker the size of a taco tortilla, loaded with fixings including beans and cotija cheese. We also got margaritas, one regular rimmed with tajin, and one pumpkin. The pumpkin was sweet and goes down easy! The regular margarita - you can taste the alcohol more. The margs came out quick, and the food must've only taken 10minutes or so. We enjoyed the pork belly tacos, which were their special that day. The birria tacos were good as well, although I would've salted it more inside personally. The queso fundido comes out bubbling, and has a nice cheese pull if you want to make a vid for the gram. All in all we really enjoyed our experience here and would absolutely come back again. :)

Bothell, WA We got here to the restaurant a few minutes before 5 o'clock. Our adorable waitress Siphiwe, told us she would honor the happy hour prices. So we got chicken nachos and some chicken street tacos. I ordered a mango cart draft and I was absolutely delighted when it came with a Tahin rim. Oh my Lanta! Bring me another. This is delicious. Our waitress is so kind. She asked about allergies, which we both have, but nobody has ever asked right when we sit down to order. She is attentive, kind, personable, and full of smiles. Be sure to ask for her when you come to this restaurant to eat. They offer you a sopito begin your meal. I think it takes place of chips and salsa. Which if you order cost extra. It is a tortilla shell topped with refried beans, cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream, and queso fresco. They give one to each person at the table. Refreshing, light, and tasty. The floors are concrete, and the tables are wooden with wooden chairs and suede seats. They have some tables outside with heat lamps, but the outdoor seating pis right by the parking lot so we chose to eat inside. You walk right into the bar and they have a restaurant further back. They actually share the restaurant with a Ramen restaurant. The chicken nachos came within 10 minutes of our ordering. There was so much shredded chicken on it along with refried beans, cheese, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole. This nacho dish is terrific. The cheese is evenly melted. The chicken is tender and flavorful. The refried beans are vegetarian. No lard used here. The chicken street tacos were the largest street tacos I have seen prepared. They come with onion, cilantro, and a large radish on top. Large chunks of chicken fill the taco. The guacamole on top of the nachos is heavy on the lime. However, it's like biting into a fresh avocado. The flavor was delicious. If I lived in the area, I would come here frequently. You can't beat the happy hour prices. The food is delicious! The service is kind. The place is very clean. I don't often give five stars for a restaurant. You have to be exceptional. This place exceeded my expectations. Five stars for sure!

We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite and maybe a drink or two, and La Gloria popped up. I have probably driven by the location many times but it is one of a couple other restaurants that share on end of the building. When you do find it, you will be happy you did. I am a Nacho guy and of course I had to try them. I was not disappointed. I had the shredded beef nachos and wowsers, they passed the test with flying colors. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I also love a place that has multiple options when it comes to Mezcal drinks which seems a bit rare. The atmosphere is festive and casual and most of the restaurant in the bar but there are a couple tables outside of the bar for minors. The vibe seems great for a first date. We will be back for more food and drinks.

Sat at the bar. We came rather early on a Thursday so the place wasn't super busy. Bartender was super friendly, attentive and made pretty decent cocktails. They have a little bit of everything on their menu, except pork (carnitas/chicarones etc). They co-share the space with another restaurant that does not serve pork for religious purposes, which I can appreciate. Definitely was not a deterrent for us. We were given a bean tostada as a starter (instead of the typical chips and salsa), which I loved because I always end up eating way too many chips and salsa that I fill up on them before the food comes. Kudos to them on not being typical. Asked for their spiciest salsa, they gave us salsa macha which was tasty and a decent bit of spice. Ordered the queso fundido, it took almost 20 minutes to come. Way too long of a wait, especially since they weren't that busy. Queso plate was giant. Way too big for 2 ppl. Ordered two kinds of enchiladas because I wanted to taste multiple items on their menu. Vegetable poblano enchiladas were decent, but the poblano sauce lacked depth, a tiny bit plain. The chicken tinga enchiladas with red mole, were just ok. Sadly, Enchilada sauce was weak sauce and I couldn't tell if the meat was shredded chicken or beef, and it was missing cheese for my tastes. Overall both styles were a little bit of a let down. The hubby ordered the quesabirria tacos. Those had lots of flavor and I liked the green tomatillo sauce that came on the side. We did not order dessert because we were too full. The ambience is nice, I liked the Frida kahlo decor. The front patio was unkempt and needed some tlc. Overall the place was decent and I really liked the red sangria. I might come back and try some other things, but so far nothing wowed me.

When we arrived to our destination for La Gloria, we tried to find the entrance but it was hard to tell so we almost went around the building when one of the servers called us over and she lead us the way! She went out of the way to come looking for us! We thought that was very generous of her for doing that! However, the food and service were amazing! Hence the pics! Friendly servers! Energetic, talkative, welcoming! Love it so much we might come back again sometime soon! Last of all, the atmosphere is very pleasant, there's a bar on one side that leads to other tables if you love to drink then it's a perfect place, I personally don't drink so sitting away from the bar felt very comfortable for my husband and I. A little space of your own! I do recommend this place if you're looking for a date night, girls/boys/friends night out. 10/10!!! I'm ecstatic that we found a new place!

No frills Mexican food. Despite there only being three other parties there, our server was mostly absent. Dropped off food then came back to check on us only once. Happy hour prices are $8 for most items not $6 as posted on their facebook page. read more

Sorry I don't have a photo of the meal, it was so good it was gone before I had the chance. The owner also works behind the bar and he's amazing, you can tell he's passionate about the business he's running and it's apparent is how phenomenal the business is. The staff checks in regularly to ensure you're doing good and to check if you need refills or anything else. I wish I lived closer to this place because it's worth every penny! What an awesome addition to the area! Our service, from the moment we walked in, was stellar. We received what I believe to be a tostada on the house upon being seated and it was delicious. Definitely a great way to get started! We ordered the jicama prawn tacos, chicken tinga enchiladas and steak tacos. We also ordered chips and salsa. The jicama tacos were full of flavor and we were shocked the tortilla was made of jicama yet still so fulfilling and tasty. The enchiladas were my personal favorite, flavorful, unique and delicious. The chips are made in house and really thick and crunchy, which I loved. Now let's talk beverages...we received excellent recommendations from our server and ordered the Hello Frida which was my favorite by far. It was flavorful and fresh, not too sweet either. The candied hibiscus on top was beautiful and yummy. My husband LOVED the La Mezcalita. Smoky but also had a tropical twist. We ordered the De la casa (house Marg) and another one that I can't remember the name of but came in the cool clay cup pictured. They were yummy but the above mentioned ones were what I would order again. Definitely a fun new spot worth a try! read more

Updating my older review now that we've returned a few times. The menu has expanded a bit, but not lost touch, and everything we've tried has been great, especially the civeche tostadas. The drink menu is great, love all the mezcal options. The service is painless, not in your face but always there when you need them, from a quick meal to a longer evening to relax. The ambiance is also great, from the music they're playing, to the TV choices, this is an awesome Mexican place. read more

I've never been in this area but my timing belt went out near this restaurant and I pulled in. I can tell you that there is no better place to break down . My 80 year old dad was with me, and the bartender, Enrique, was very friendly and accommodating regarding our situation. The service was excellent. The cook was clearly talented; the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean with a comfortable ambience, and offered a table outside. The present customers were incredibly kind and helpful as well. A man who was having dinner with his family drove me to the auto parts store, then proceeded to fix the car for us! We asked inside if anyone had jumper cables and the next thing we knew, a customer and 4 staff members were in the parking lot offering help. We had a great experience here even regardless of the assistance with the car. If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular. read more

Food here is incredible! Fresh authentic Mexican, no cheesy tex-mex bs (sorry if you are into it, but this place serves a quality Mexican food). Cocktails are equally as good, even the house ones have great tequila and not the cheap stuff. The owners are a charming young couple, with their hearts in this business, trying to do it right. Humble, with a clear goal - it can't go wrong. They should have a full blown restaurant in a prominent location. I am sure they are on track to do just that. Go eat here, as someone else said. The best Mexican taste in the area! My family and I came to La Gloria about two years ago, and loved it! Now we are hooked and have been coming almost every other week. Enrique and his team, including Diego and Claudia are always thrilled and obsessed to delight their customers. Best food ever! My friends and I all shared our food and it was amazing! The ceviche! The chips! I wish I would have taken a picture but we were so busy having a great time I forgot to take out our phones the tamales (pork and chicken) were moist and very rich! The quesabirria tacos SO TASTY! Our server Claudia went above and beyond to help us choose our food choices! She explained everything in detail. If you like drinks I def recommend the Frida drink We all had a great time! Let me start out by listing the pros: I had a ceviche with was cooked amazingly, my friend had a quesadilla. Other than it being greasy it was filling. The interior decor is very beautiful and Instagram worthy. Cons: Service: Our servers were three different people in one night. After initially sitting us down it took them 1 hour (yes!!) for them to check in again. Our food took another 30 minutes for it to come out, I asked one of the waitresses where it was after waiting for it. They stated they only had one cook working. Fine people are short staffed, we wanted to grab the check and leave, however she insisted it was coming right out. The drinks were mostly sugar and juice. My friend who does not drink very frequently had three different cocktails. All in the same she said she didn't even feel a buzz. Kinda odd. This was the first outing we had in months and we were excited to go out finally after being vaccinated. Extremely disappointing read more

Have been wanting to try La Gloria since they opened. They have closed once since due to lockdown and recently reopened for indoor dining at 25%. I'm glad we went today because we were not disappointed. It's a smaller space that shares some of the building with the restaurant next door and is really more of a bar that has great food at reasonable prices, so it could be difficult to get a table during peak times. The servings are more small plates and shared plate style. Our table of two ordered four items: the beef taquitos, chicken quesadilla, beef enchiladas and jicama tacos with prawns. We also ordered two rounds of the top shelf margarita which was great. It was a well balanced margarita with a charred lemon, an aesthetic I instantly fell in love with. My favorites were the tacos due to their unique crunch as well as being gluten-free and low-carb. Not that I'm any of those things, but it's always a great and inventive way to meet those criteria. I loved the taquitos, those are as you would expect. Deep fried and delicious. The enchiladas were a nice change. Instead of drenching the plate in sauce, each of the three taco-size tortilla was dipped in sauce, filled and then plated with some refreshing garnish. The quesadilla was good and as you would expect. They added some pickled red onion for color and tanginess which is always nice. All of the different salsas that we had were great, too. They have this one that comes with the jicama taco. It's a salsa matcha and this one tastes like if smoke were a condiment that has a low, lasting burn. A very unique chile oil for a very unique taco. A must try. (see photos) We had a good experience here and will definitely return to try more margaritas and the rest of the menu. Wonderful! The food is amazing and the place is hip and cute. Great menu with unique offerings; everything was prepared exceptionally well. Strange setting as this place is connected to a Chinese restaurant. The entrance was difficult to locate and not lit for some reason. Service was good and the people working there were friendly. The food was pretty good, although my enchiladas were mostly lukewarm and cold in the middle. Clearly the drinks are what they focus on and they were good. Nothing to get too excited about. I'd say that it is worth another visit for after work drinks and chips. read more

We went here to try this new place out and we were not disappointed. They give you a complimentary refried bean tostada. We ordered ceviche, enchiladas, sopitos, piña coladas, mojito and more tostadas. The food and drinks were all on point. We will definitely be going back. read more

First of all, staff were friendly and the food was good, albeit a tad pricy. They appeared to be following all pertinent COVID guidelines, which I appreciate. We had the 3 adobada street tacos and the chicken tingas enchiladas michoacanas and flan, which they make in house. We preferred to go so, unfortunately the food wasn't warm by the time we arrived at the hotel, but that isn't their responsibility. My only complaint was that it took a very long time to prepare. Aside from being a bit pricey for what it was. Checking in to inquire, they said they were almost done. Fifteen minutes later, it was finally ready after about a 45 minutes for essentially 6 tacos. When I paid, I could tell something was up as the bartender thanked me for our patience and he had some conversation with the staff. read more

5 stars for La Gloria! This little place is so stinking good. The waiter/waitress were kind and attentive-- the drinks were amazing, and the small plates were delicious and reasonably priced. I cannot believe I kept forgetting about this place. I finally gave it a try and it is worth the stop. We loved the asada street tacos and the mula loca the best but everything was so good! We were greeted with a yummy and complimentary tostadas appetizer. After relishing that quick bite, we browsed through the menu and settled on the Nachos, Taquitos, hello Frida and Old fashioned Mexico, with a kick, and finally a cantarito. The food was amazing and we devoured everything. However, we were slightly disappointed with the cocktails as they didn't meet our expectations. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food in a great atmosphere. In long Previously, my biggest complaint with coming here was the total lack of parking every time I have tried. They obviously have no trouble getting the crowds in here. Today we scored some free time in the mid-afternoon, and their HH starts at 3:00 every day. We did go off the HH menu for 3 items, which ended up being worth it. You can't help but notice the buildout here. Pretty lights, interesting patterns or murals on almost every wall, lots of cool detail to the finishes everywhere you look. They even have yon selfie wall next to the washrooms (they took down a much bigger one). The bar has a couple flatscreens showing the game, but I'd probably not come here specifically to pay attention to a ballgame. At regular price, we got an awesome plate of chunky guac which I'd put against guac anywhere around here, at least that I've tried. At $15, it was almost a buck a bite, but, man, it was tasty. The bean dip had a great creamy consistency and mixed well with all the other condiments. We also got a muddled fruit cocktail from the regular menu, which was also excellent. The ceviche isn't a huge portion, and not overloaded with shrimp, but, hey, it's HH, and it's super fresh and tasty. The street tacos had awesome grilled flavor on the chicken, and the salsa served with them was fresh and excellent. We got 2 other salsas with our chips; the table salsa is nice but mild on the heat. The habanero salsa was a little too runny to get much on a plain chip, but it had great flavor and kick. Everything tasted really fresh and added plenty of seasoning to whatever was on the table. This is definitely a good place to mash up your salsas and dips and see what you concoct. The street corn was delicious. Such a perfect HH food--easy for the kitchen, but tons of flavor, and they nail the presentation. Corn tasted really sweet and crunchy even though you know they get it frozen. I'd get it again any time. For 3 apps, 2 dips, and 2 cocktails, we were under $90 before tip. Not too bad, especially since we went off the HH menu for stuff. This place is definitely in the rotation.
