Unfortunately I was delayed and only arrived at 11 again - but this time they had plenty! The employee told us they boosted production for the weekend since they unexpectedly ran out too early the previous week. Great for us! Sourdough Foccacia ($13) - This foccacia has a good crisp on the outside, which deteriorated a bit since it was sitting in the car for a couple of hours before consumption. It comes in a nice form fitting paper box. The interior is open and airy looking, but it's actually quite moist, chewy and somewhat tough especially on the crust. It has an exceptional fermented-ish sour taste and is decorated with sea salt specks on top. It's even more sour than what could be found in most sourdough breads in SF. I can tell this is extremely high quality but the taste profile is just a little too much for me. (4/5) Onion Cookie ($4) - Woah, this is a really unique cookie. There's a caramelized onion aroma that wafts right into the nose as the cookie is removed from the packaging, which is soaked through with oil. The texture is soft, yet pliable, allowing the cookie to bend quite a bit without breaking. First bite - it's not too sweet and has an exceptional umami-savoriness. Kind of like a miso cookie with some cinnamon that works so well with the savory notes. So strange in taste yet delicious. I expected to find onion pieces embedded within, but it's pretty evenly textured. (5/5) Salmonberry Goods serves some very high quality treats. They are pretty adventurous with their goods - I'm surprised they don't make anything with actual salmonberry though!

We did the farm box subscription for a few months and it was my favorite part of the week for some time. It felt like Chopped, I would get this big bag of beautiful, local goods delivered to my door every week (so convenient) and then would piece together the puzzle of recipes for the week using as much as I could. Some of our favorite meals came from the farm box era. It's very convenient if you don't like having to spend lots of time in the grocery store and want to celebrate the beautious diverse bounties from our local farmers! Recently I was excited to try the baked goods and stopped by the Ballard Farmer's Market to pick up some bread (and sweet treats ). We grabbed a loaf of the sourdough and the berry pop tart, and I will say the berry pop tart did not make it to the car. It was delicious 10/10 I never wanted it to end I will say that I was very disappointed with the sourdough loaf :( I always enjoy a good blister, but it lacked depth of flavor, seemed maybe under proofed and was a bit dry. And I wouldn't generally be this picky, but for a $10 loaf, the score was a bit sloppy and made me lowkey sad :(

Sooooo good! Their bakery goods have never disappointed and I'm excited for the tuna melt later since I love their breads. They have a good selection of baked items each time I visit and have seasonal selections too which are fun to try. My favorite is the "Pear Frangipane Tart" which my cousin and I look forward to each late summer/fall. Location/Inside: The Wallingford location is so convenient to get to, right off 45th across from Molly Moon's and some great Asian restaurants. You could basically get all of your meals (breakfast through dinner) from this one block! There are plenty of tables inside and a few picnic-table-like tables outside to sit at and big glass doors that they open on pretty days for the nicest breeze. Everything tasted great but I probably would recommend coming here when you have some time to kill and aren't in a rush.

This was the perfect pastry for an easy and light breakfast. It wasn't too oily at all. The croissants were near sold out by 11:30am, and they had brought out their puffs. I need to to try the jalapeno cheddar cheese puff next time! The drip coffee was so delicious. I would love to come back to ask if they offer refills for free or at a discount. There was a good amount of seating, but I'm not sure if you could study/work here because I didn't pay attention to if they had wifi/outlets/a bathroom. Today I finally got to try Rosellini's Maritozzi! I knew they have it on random weekends but I…read morenever went in early enough to get one myself until today. They offered the item on both days this weekend and again I missed it on Saturday. I asked the front person what time I should get to the bakery in order not to miss it, and she recommended that I come in right at the opening. She said they ran out of it some time past 11am on Saturday, so it seems like they don't necessarily go flying off the counter immediately. Although I was curious, I still wasn't sure if I'd make it in time for opening at 8am the next day. But I was housesitting nearby and the dog woke me up at 6:30 begging to go on a walk. Not wanting to waste the fact that I woke up early on a Sunday, I decided to not go back to bed but head to the bakery at 8am. I arrived like 2-3 minutes before opening and was surprised to see there were already more than ten people lined up at the bakery. Having worked a retail job, my coworkers and I get annoyed when people start lining up before opening, so I tried my best to arrive right on time. But the line was a bit much. Anyways, I respect that everyone working at the bakery doesn't seem one bit offended by the crowd and are so nice to the customers. Consequently, I'm glad I went for the Maritozzi. It was really good. But if it's this difficult to get one then I probably won't go for it again.

Honestly, it was a small step up from getting a sleeve of Pepperidge Farms bagels at the grocery store. A small step. I got an everything bagel and while I applaud the fact that they make sure there is "everything" on both sides of the bagel, it really did remind me of a the consistency of a Pepperidge Farms bagel when it's toasted. My wife got a gluten free bagel and took one bite and decided it wasn't very good. She tore a piece off for me to try and we both felt it resembled the taste of a giant pretzel. When I saw that they claim to be Montreal-style bagels, I got very excited. But St-Viateur this place is not. The people behind the counter were extremely friendly (and patient as we decided what we wanted from the menu). The cream cheese was pretty solid (I went with the sun-dried tomato cream cheese, my daughter went with the pomegranate berry - they were both very good). As for the place itself - if you're looking for a place to meet up for coffee and maybe a quick bite, or maybe if you're looking for a place to park yourself for a while as you do some work on your laptop, it seems like it would be great for something like that.
