Grabbed two sweet crêpes to go on a Sunday morning while out for a walk in Magnolia Village. We enjoyed them at the nearby picnic table. The strawberry crêpe was my favorite, tasted amazing! I'd recommended eating them soon after buying bc the warmer they are, the tastier they are. read more

I'm reviewing the caravan crepes In Magnolia. Pros: a cute neighborhood caravan serving delicious sweet and savory crepes, panini, and cold drinks. I had the mushroom and brie crepes. It comes with lots of mushrooms, brie, arugula, and balsamic reduction and a side of arugula tomato salad. They offer plenty of patio and road side seating. I enjoy my crepes very much. Cons: menu is slightly limited, but it's good enough for a food truck. Outdoor seating only which wouldn't work if weather is bad, but oh well, you can always choose to take it home in a box. read more

We stopped at magnolia farmers market and found caravan crepes food truck near the market. Loved the mushroom and Brie crepe we ordered, the weather was good and there are tables near the truck to sit and share the crepe outdoors. We got our crepes perfectly done in less than 10 mins. We will be back again. read more

I ordered a custom crepe with ham and mozzarella. The ham was okay. It was nice that it wasn't deli meat ham. There was lots of mozzarella, and it had good flavor. The texture of the crepe was nice and thick and fluffy, but the crepe itself was super bland. The spicy sauce it came with was okay, but I didn't like it much. I don't think I'll be back, based on the lack of flavor in the crepe itself. It definitely needed some butter or something. read more

Really like this food truck and i'm a regular when they're at the South Lake Union campus. My go-to, is the hobuck -Black Forest ham and cheese. I usually add extra sides - mushrooms and caramelized onions along with that, which is absolutely delicious!! Super filling too! I go into a food coma after that. Comes with a salad, which I usually don't end up having space for, after eating all the good stuff :) have also tried Tried the one with lentils once. Not as good as the ham and cheese; or probably just not to my liking. Among the sweet crepes, my favorite is the chocolate mousse crepe with toasted almonds. Soooo good! It usually comes with a choice of fruit but I skip the fruit and go with just the mousse and almonds. Yumm! Yumm! This place does get super crowded during the lunch hours so if you don't have a lot of time to wait in line, plan to get there around 11:30 am or after 1:30 pm. They also offer a punch card which gets you a free crepe after every 10 crepes that you buy. So, if you have tried this place and you like it, be sure to grab yourself one of those cards, cause you will be coming back. Compared to a few other food trucks, this place is Slightly on the pricey side, but the savory crepes are quite big and do fill you up. read more

Oh yeah, it's crepe time! We have stopped here a couple of times to the Caravan Crepe food truck when it's been perched on the corner of McGraw and 32nd Ave W in Magnolia on Saturdays during the Farmer's Market. I highly recommend their fare, as it's extremely tasty and reasonably priced. Most recently, my wife and I took her sister their for lunch and we loved what we got. I had the turkey crepe with arugula, tomatoes, and seasoned mayo. Super good. They both had the chicken and onion crepe with bechamel and cherry tomatoes. They raved about it too! Plus, at only $10/crepe it doesn't put you in the hole. My only request is that you could get something else on the side with it, but alas ... that's all she wrote. Be sure to save room for their sweet crepes too. Nutella ... strawberries and cream ... vanilla cream ... and more are a delicious treat if you're not in the savory mood and want to take care of that sweet tooth of yours! If you happen across a Caravan Crepe in your walkings around, be sure to stop what you're doing and grab one to go. You won't regret it! read more

Attended the Mobile Food Rodeo earlier this month. Caravan Crepes was there serving their selection of sweet and savory crepes. Caravan originates from Maui in which the owner had a creperie there who has transported that vibe to the Seattle food truck scene. Caravan's selection of crepes is a bit different from your usual. If you look at the gourmet ingredients they use, you can tell that. Not only are the ingredients in the crepe different, but the batter is too. The batter is called teff and is a wheat alternative that is gluten free. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, Caravan offered a few holiday related crepes. I decided to go for a savory crepe, the tequila-lime wild boar crepe ($5). It was served with a side of mixed greens. The serving size was just right as it allowed me to try other trucks without feeling too full. The crepe was alright. The taste of the teff batter is a bit of an acquired taste since I am used to crepes tasting differently. It does take getting to use to, but I found it enjoyable the more I ate it. The wild boar though was a bit dry inside the crepe. It could have also used a little more spice. The prices for crepes here is quite reasonable. So if I was attending an event in which Caravan was at, I would give them another shot. Particularly because their crepes has some interesting ingredients in them. read more

What luck I show up at the magnolia farmers market and there is a crepe truck. With so many options I had to debate a savory or sweet crepe or the crepe of the day. I decide savory was the mood for today since the morning was a bit dismal so the wedge sounded pretty good I mean Apples prosciutto and Brie...my savory crepe came with a side salad and sour cream. The salad was nicely dressed even though they almost forgot to add the dressing. Overall the crepe was nice and thin and was a very nice and light brunch snack. The brie wasn't fully melted but it was soft enough to complement my thinly sliced apples there were hints of prosciutto. read more

Wow! Stopped by while in Magnolia-cute setup and great little outside seating. Solid menu of sweet and savory for crepes (and they have pizza!) I got the pear/onion/brie crepe and Nutella crepe-both were super delicious. The pear/onion/Brie crepe was especially mind-blowing-the perfect combo plus the balsamic glaze and small arugula salad filling too. highly recommended for any crepe craving! read more

Hands down best savory crepe I've ever had! I'm typically not a fan of savory crepes, but Caravan Crepes does it right. I ordered the wedge crepe and fell in love with the sweet and salty flavor combination of the brie cheese, prosciutto, and apple. The crepe itself was light and airy and there was a good crepe to ingredient ratio! The sour cream on the side also paired really well with the crepe -- it adds an extra level of tangy/creamy-ness to the meal. My friends ordered the hobuck and the shorty which they said were super yum as well! Will defs be back here for lunch again soon -- $9 for a decently sized crepe + side salad is such a steal in SLU! read more

Ok so this being a food truck I wasn't sure what to expect. But these were like restaurant quality-both the sweet and savory ones the three of us tried. I tried a cinnamon sugar one as well as the Mushroom & Brie. My kids tried the Nutella Banana, Strawberries and Cream and I believe the Turkey one. I'm happy we decided to give this place a chance. In fact, the only thing that sucks is the fact that we don't have this place near us because Im a sucker for a good crepe done right. read more

Crepes. Love at first sight. I'm always looking for a new crepe around town. Somehow, the truck route didn't really line up with my schedule. I work downtown and often have to trek far and long to see my beloved food trucks. The owner is super nice and I liked her instantly. I knew Caravan was going to be at the Mobile Food Rodeo in September (if you haven't been to one, you should go - that is all). Caravan was on my list for the day, which is a pretty big deal since my list is very short for an event with 50 or so trucks. I went to the truck a few hours after the Rodeo began and ordered a sweet crepe. Before I got it, I did a double take at the menu. Since I had already been there for hours, I knew that the prices had gone up. I asked the person who took my order (and money) about it and she said that was a special for VIFs (Very Important Foodies). I held up my VIF badge and it didn't matter - still paid the same price. I want to be clear that I paid a fair price. It simply is not cool to change prices midstream, have a customer call you on it, and refuse to do anything about it. Back to the crepe, check it out: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/caravan-cr%C3%AApes-seattle#bVV4RAK3K_o2JB_b73FjqQ This is a beautiful crepe! I love the presentation and the little touches. The crepe itself is slightly spongier than I like but combined with the fillings, well, it was good. The salted caramel sauce you see on there is fantastic! And whipped cream? Can you ever really go wrong with whipped cream? I think not. As I said before, my regular work week schedule didn't put me in the path of Caravan again until recently. I always try to eat at a truck twice before reviewing it. I lucked out and Caravan made a few appearances at Fremont Sunday Market where I spend a lot of time. This time, I tried a savory crepe, The Wedge, shown here: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/caravan-cr%C3%AApes-seattle#SIvOYbC9EPqNMYj2USjH5g Again, top notch presentation. Beautiful! The crepe itself had brie, prosciutto, apple and sweet onion chutney and a side salad. Honestly, I wasn't sure how I would feel about the side salad. I liked it - it was a nice touch that went well with the crepe. I think the portion could be bigger but I definitely enjoyed the taste. I hope our paths cross more - I'd like to visit Caravan more often. read more

I fell in love with their Bulgarian feta cheesecake crepe with fresh berries and pistachio crumble! I've never had feta cheesecake so I was really excited on how it would turn out! It was amazing. Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time. I'd say Chucks Hopshop on a Thursday night is already a good place to be, but with a fantastic crepe stand nearby that brings the "thin pancake" to you while you're drinking a beer.... sublime. Let's be clear, i've had crepes before. Done all of the what Seattle has to offer including the other crepe trucks. I also just got back from Paris to which one could say its a pretty prevalent dish. Theres something special about this crepes which create both a unique flavor experience but give you exactly what you want from that light fluffy thin rich french classic. I went for 1 and ended up trying 3. The savory "the wedge". ( apply sour cream and dig in for salty sweet balanced bite. And then 2 sweet- The nutella-nana, and was the Orange curd. See my pic of the Orange curd. nuff said. Nutella was a staple done well but i'd say go for their staff creations for a fun flavor roller coaster. These crepes are the perfect compromise between high end quality with creative ingredients and street food non-pretentious deliciousness that you hope to get from a truck. Eat up. Staff was fantastic, service incredible and fast. Will be back to try the rest! read more

OMG I love this place! The people are friendly and the crepes are amazing! This was a pleasant surprise to working in Seattle. The prices are average for food trucks and the service is pretty good-of course that depends on the time that of the day that you go. I had the strawberry and nutella crepe with toasted almonds and crème. It was amazing! There was a little raspberry or blackberry drizzle of sauce to make it pretty and it added to the amazing taste. The other people that I went with ordered savory crepes that were good portions and interesting combos. I will have to go back to try a savory one. read more

Brook is consistently the best! She is always working on the truck, laughing with customers, memorizing regulars and their orders. I love that. Yes, Caravan has regulars! I go when the truck is at Chuck's HopShop on Tuesdays. My favorite item has got to be the Earl Grey Cream Sweet Special! It has raspberries and shortbread cookie crumbles!! Also worthy of trying is the Wedge with ham instead of prosciutto. The Hobuck is great, but the Combe of ham and brie is pretty slamming! Caravan also has gluten free options too. This is an awesome truck! Catch it when it's in your neighborhood! read more

Crepes! Last time I had one was at UniCone Crepes summer of '12. I tried the Hobuck and it tasted so good! The side of sour cream went well with the black forest ham and gruyere cheese. The side of greens tasted great too. The line wasn't too bad. The menu had a lot of choices. The service was friendly. UniCone Crepes is closer to my work place but if I'm ever near the market and want a crepe again I'll stop by this food truck. read more

I ate here during the Seattle Street Food Fair. They only had sweet crepes. I ordered the Bulgarian feta cheesecake with fresh berries and pistachio crumple crepe. I have to say that I was rather disappointed. The feta cheese was just scooped on and didn't add anything the crepe. The fresh berries were just a few blackberries. I don't know if it's because there were a lot of people at the fair so that they chose not to do their more complex crepes. But after eating it, I didn't think it added anything new to the crepe world. I really enjoy creperies that try to do something exciting with the different combination of things that they can put on crepes. But this one was just very safe, and very plain, and not worth writing home about. The lady making the crepe was nice. Perhaps I will give this truck another chance when they park in downtown Bellevue. I am always more of a savory crepe kind of person. So maybe I will be wowed by their savory crepes? read more

This is the best of the SLU food trucks, in my humble opinion. When I worked at Amazon, I would keep a schedule of when this truck was in the area and get weirdly excited for "crepe days." The coolest thing they do is have ever-changing daily special crepes. 8/10 of these are very good. 2/10 are utterly, earth-shatteringly incredible. The weirder they sound, they better they are. read more

One of the best food trucks, of ANY cuisine, in the Seattle area. Seriously, what's not to like here? High quality ingredients. Delicious execution. Good portion for the price (savory crepes include a side of mixed greens). Options for all tastes. Friendly service. I've tried a few savory options (the "wedge" with brie & prosciutto, and the "shorty" with chicken and chili sauce). I've also tried 1 sweet offering: a special with chocolate and fig. All were Terrific with a capital T. Forget the whole "next time it's in my neighborhood" baloney. They're doing magic in this big yellow truck. You should be chasing it down. read more

Tracked down this truck at the Fremont Sunday Market. I ordered Hobuck and my bf ordered the Maui Sugar Cane with fresh lime. I thought the prices were fairly equivalent to the quality and size of the crepes. I loved my Hobuck , which was served with some organic greens and sour cream but my bf's Maui wasn't to my liking, thought not terrible. The two ladies working the truck were extremely sweet and I loved that they took credit cards. I'd definitely stop by again the next time I see the truck :) read more

Service was excellent, and not too much of a wait after I ordered, in spite of a reasonably long line (6-8 people maybe?) Will definitely come back to try another. read more

I'm so glad that DT Bellevue finally wised up and started hosting a dedicated food truck pod every day. Caravan Crepes comes on Mondays and I had the best experience with them yesterday! I ordered a Crescent, which has lentils and comes with a side of creme fraiche and a teeny salad with some kind of vinaigrette dressing. It was about $11 with tip, which is on the pricier side of a food truck lunch (for me) but worth it, and took maybe 5 minutes to deliver since I was first in line. I really liked the crepe; it's square and buttery and crispy, and the ingredients were well-seasoned and tasty. But the best part was the really nice people working inside the truck! Playful and just so genuinely sweet. I felt really cared for and special for the five minutes I stood near their truck. Can't wait for the next crepe day! read more

I'm so glad this truck makes weekly appearances in the ID, because I look forward to it constantly! My go-to crepe is the Wedge, which is perfectly decadent with its prosciutto, apple slices, onion chutney and brie. Every so often, though, I'll get the special, which is always so unique. I'm loving the addition of delicata squash as an ingredient lately! (Fingers crossed for some butternut squash in the future?) Also, Brooke is awesome and friendly, and won't make you feel like an inconvenience for requesting ingredient swaps. That's a huge plus for someone like me who can't get behind mushrooms and the more spicy options. Also, I haven't had it, but they offer a gluten-free batter option, too. read more

I work down in South Lake Union on Dexter Ave and I was really happy to even see a food truck nearby. So i chucked my lunch from home and made the quick walk down to Caravan Crepes. When my coworker and I got there trying to decide what to order there was no line just us. In about five minutes it got packed! I ordered the "shorty" crepe, which had grilled chicken, harissa sauce, arugula and pickled corn with a side of arugula salad for 9 bucks. The meal itself was filling no doubt, lots of chicken the harissa sauce wasn't too spicy, I really enjoyed it. It was first time having a savory crepe and it was really good. But most of the customers I noticed were ordering their sweet crepes: strawberries and nutella (yum), maui cane sugar and lime (definitely will try) and some others I couldn't remember of the top of my head. It's a good break from the normal lunch places around here. read more

Oh-la-la. Caravan Crêpes - a crêpe truck - c'est magnifique! (which I think translates to: "It rocks!!!") My last experience with crêpes was another lifetime ago, attending formal business lunches at Crêpe de Paris in Rainier Square, where the crêpes were petite, rolled up in snug pairs, and covered with well-prepared but rich French sauces. Before I got off the Beacon Hill light rail stop (a short trip on the light rail from the downtown Seattle bus tunnel) and ordered my first crêpe from Caravan Crêpes, I was still trying to figure out how those petite, delicate, rich, saucy things could be created in a TRUCK. A real truck, with working wheels. That travels from place to place!! All I could imagine was Cirque du Soleil-trained chefs trying to juggle making crêpes, cooking fillings, stirring rich French sauces, and rolling up tiny crêpes to place them two to a plate. My understanding of crêpes was soooooo 20th century. Once you order, Caravan Crêpes uses an extra-large crêpe-maker to make a delicate, round crêpe that is ginormous. It then fills the crêpe with whatever filling you've ordered from the yummy and creative menu, and folds the lovely, thin crêpe into an elegant, large square. It adds a side of organic mixed greens and Voila! A very tasty, very filling lunch or dinner. I tried the Shorty's, a chicken-filled crêpe that is delish. I finished the first crêpe and couldn't resist - I ordered a second crêpe from the dessert menu, which was also wonderful. I was totally stuffed, so I'd stick to splitting a dessert crêpe with a friend. This adorable, traveling crêperie serves really tasty meals. And, unlike the acrobatics I thought would be needed to run a crêperie from a truck, it's more like watching comfortable artists in a well-choreographed ballet. My only teeny-tiny suggestion? Please post as much of your schedule of where you'll be so we can find you whenever that crêpe cravin' hits!!! read more

I tried the savory special (today it was a beef bourguignon) and the "strawberries and cream". The savory crepe was pretty tasty, and I could not eat the sweet dessert crepe fast enough. Caravan Crepes has been a welcome addition to the Beacon Hill neighborhood. The Crepes are delicious and filled with a yummy mix of sweet and savory things ranging from peaches and creme fraiche to ham, bacon, fresh greens, and more. At $8 or $9 they can seem a little spendy for truck food. But the quality is terrific and the portion is generous and filling, and includes a tasty little side salad. This creative caravan of Crepes travels around, spending a few days a week feeding Amazonians in South Lake Union, and also serving at events like a recent Dragon Boat race also in South Lake Union.
