Overall, the food is solid, but the interior is far from cozy -- not a place you'd want to linger in. My daughter and I stopped here on a recent trip. What a yummy surprise this was. My daughter Italian sausage, potato and cheese piroshky. I had the beef and cheese. These are big piroshky! Despite their size, we decided to each get a sweet. I had the apple cinnamon and she had the strawberry and white chocolate. We were so stuffed after eating the delicious savories that the sweet ones had to wait until much later in the day before we could enjoy them. On top of the piroshky, we each also got one of their specialty coffees. (They also have quite a large assortment of teas.) Our coffees were both very good. It's a small cafe with some tables to enjoy the food and drink and a case chock full of delicious looking pastries and sweet or savory piroshki. Over 15 years ago, at a play date with one of my friends adopted from Russia and another friend, we talked about piroshky and did not have any. I left the conversation with my interest piqued about piroshky, what is it? I do not know, but I want to try it! Their tip for me was to know what type of piroshky I want to try. So, over 15 years later, and with much ordering experience under my belt I decided it was time to eat my first piroshky. I decided to come to Piroshky & Crepes European Cafe and Bakery because it was in a central, yet tucked away, location. My visit was on Wednesday 9 November 2022 in the early afternoon and after the lunch rush. When I walked in, a duo of men had just finished placing their order and where sitting down at a table to wait. Another individual was at a different table working on a laptop. I checked out the display case and decided to go with two types: one sweet (Strawberry and White Chocolate) and one savory (Ham and Cheese). The woman behind the counter took my order and asked if I wanted the piroshky warmed up, which I decided to go with. It took less than five minutes for my order to be ready, and I took it out to my car to eat. I started with the Strawberry and White Chocolate and finished with the Ham and Cheese. Both were delicious. The bread was light and fluffy, and the flavors of the fillings for each melded perfectly. The strawberries were mildly sweet, which was refreshing as strawberry baked goods can be excessively sweet sometimes. The white chocolate was a perfect complement, and in good proportions to the strawberries. Ham chunks in the savory piroshky were well cooked and not too small to catch the flavor. Cheese and herbs were visible and discernible by my palate in the filling as well. Finished both piroshky before taking off and driving back home. The worker behind the counter was friendly and the other customers well-mannered. All around a perfect first-piroshky experience. read more

We were able to order within a couple minutes and thankfully in that time a couple cleared out of the bar seating, otherwise we would have had to eat in our car. The ambiance was casual but lively, and they could definitely use more seating. The pastry portion of the piroshkys were delicate and delicious but the filling of both were a bit bland (a little salt would have gone a long way), and both lattes had a very mild vanilla flavor (almost nonexistent). Big fan of the piroshky and the overall atmosphere here! I hope for fully vegan options in the future Huge tea selection! They use loose leaf tea and provide a small tea pot for dine-in so the tea can steep for a few minutes before enjoying. I opted for the 1776 blend (Assam, Ceylon, strawberry) - it was recommended by the woman taking my order and I will propagate the recommendation, loved it! Next time we will be trying out the High Tea - can't wait! It's currently offered Mon-Fri during the day, with reservations of at least 24 hour notice required. I can also attest that the lattes here are good. Service was very nice and food comes out pretty quick. I've been here several times, and each time try something new. My go to is the beef and cheddar, although I've tried almost all and have never been disappointed. Large portions, which can be heated up there or if you taking it home for later you can skip and donut yourself. Several sweet options too! Cute small place! Does indoor seating, but very limited. Has savory and sweet options which is awesome, and some of them actually traditional and not American/French/American Russian. I will say service is mediocre, but not as Soviet as the service in crossroads mall (if you know, you know). They have a huge tea menu, highly recommend for that. Piroshki, very average. And even though the service is way less Soviet than crossroads mall, the crossroads mall piroshki place still won all other piroshki places in flavor and taste (yes, that includes the Seattle ones. Fight me, I know I'm right.) I will say this, you definitely get your moneys worth for the amount of stuffing you get. For example, the spinach and cheese was under seasoned. The Seattle ones are mediocre, the spinach and cheese at crossroads is bomb. I with the ham and cheese and the salmon. Crossroads nests on those two as well. Cabbage was really great. Nice traditional flavor. The Georgian khachapuri was not very traditional, was pretty mediocre too. So for me, some things were spot on and others so so. I will say their drinks are solid. And they have a nice, real, soft changing table for kids in the bathroom. Overall, I'd probably come back. So when I came across Piroshky & Crepes on GrubHub, I simply had to give it a try! I decided to get the Piroshky with Polish sausage, cheese, and spinach - and I couldn't be happier. The bread was soft, but not mushy. The sausage had just a little kick of spice, which matched the saltiness of the cheese perfectly. The spinach, although not as flavorful, added a soft texture that complemented the slight firmness of the sausage and stickiness of the cheese. Plus, it was incredibly filling on its own and didn't smell despite being flavorful, making it the perfect quick office lunch! Everybody was incredibly kind and helpful. We didn't realize that we had come in right when they were closing. But they didn't make us feel rushed or said anything. We ordered three different types of crêpes. Three different types of desserts. And we tried the borscht for the first time. Everything was absolutely delicious.
