Beware this location often runs low or completely out of chocolate iced donuts . It's hit or miss. Regardless of the time of day. I have stopped by multiple times this year hoping they have the scrumptious delicious melt in your mouth chocolate iced ones only to be told "Were Out!" Here we are trying to survive the 2020 Coronavirus. My neighbors and husband texted me about driving by and picking up a dozen after work. Something yummy they added. You know .. our fav. Sorry guys as usual their out. And to add more to our disappointment the ones we did order they replaced with something else?!?! Lucky for me the receipt is proof. A Krispy Kreme manager once told me if they have the Original Plain they've got Chocolate iced. It's just a matter of a few minutes. They'll be glad to ice a few for you. But you have to ask. I've tried, I really have, to like this place. I don't get the hype of KK donuts. They are average at best. Vomit at worst. So late night donut craving. Only thing open. We just wanted four donuts and the girl says..."It would be almost the same price if you got a dozen". Uh... er.... ok. So we get these dozen donuts... and three of them are smashed flat. Glazed raised donuts. Flat, like someone stepped on them. The apple fritters are tiny, somewhat flat... almost like pancakes, and appeared to be of the raised type..(smooshy and spongy rather than cakey) and have no apples in them. If you go inside you will be met with a pretty neat experience, especially for kids. You can view the conveyer belt system that processes the original glazed donuts. My toddler and teenager always enjoy checking it out. To add to the fun, the store is bright and the display of donuts leaves you wanting to try every one. My kids also look forward to getting a Kirspy Kreme hat and enjoying their donut and a cool glass of milk. It's an Instagramable experience! ;) The drive thru is frequently backed up. You can expect above average wait times typically during their busy time, which is, of course, the morning hours. The original donuts are always fresh and delicious. If you order any other type of donut it's a crap shoot on quality/freshness. I would not recommend their coffee (it's really bitter and the specialty coffee is awful), you're better off with Dunkin Donuts for that. Staff/customer service is hit and miss I would say average. Bottom Line: hit this place up and dine inside if you're in the mood for original glazed donuts and grab your coffee somewhere else. :) read more

First angry Yelp review for me. I called a day ahead and spoke to manager John and ordered 23 dozen donuts in specific Halloween combinations. He read it back to me and assured me I could pick them up the next day (today) thru the drive thru. They would be all ready. Well I arrive today and they don't know about the order and John is "in a meeting". So we have to park and go in and after waiting 5 minutes we are told they have half the order ready but not the other half and they are now sold out of those types of donuts. This is at 11 am. Every time I've come to this location for the last two years they have not had chocolate iced donuts doesn't matter what time of day you go, they now are blaming it on corona and not being able to do them the night before etc. etc.,....After arriving at 7:30 to find they don't open till 8am from "now on" so I Patiently wait in the parking lot with a few others that also go through the drive-through to come to find out they have to wait as well I've worked in food service before, they need to staff more people if they can't keep up with demand, it's really simple actually. I've been wanting Krispy Kerme donuts with the white creme filling. Those are simply the most yummiest ever. It is a rare treat for me, so I go to KK last Saturday morning, 9:30 am. Line started out on the road turning into drive thru. 45 minutes later, the girl says we are out of stock of those kind. I say "ok (disappointedly) then give me dozen variety." After I paid $13, I open my box, it was 6 strawberry, 3 chocolate, and 3 glaze. knocked on window, asked couldn't I get a boston creme? no, the girl says. Those are the only donuts available. I felt so cheated, betrayed. I still don't like the strawberry. I was barely able to give them away. I place order for doughnuts on line as a gift. A custom picked order. I tried calling the store the morning of the pickup several hours before pickup time to verify order because I didn't want this to go wrong. No one ever answered. The recipient shows up at scheduled time and day to pick up order. The employees have no idea that an order was placed. After digging for order number and other information they state they will box up order only to find out not all the doughnuts requested in the order are available. The day of the pickup needless to say this was embarrassing to myself as well as the recipient. Total waste of time to online order further more don't give as a gift because it will be a sour experience. I was sent a survey to my email that I responded to voicing disappointment with ordeal two time with option to be contacted about experience. No one has attempted to contact me. I always love coming here. The wonderful smell of fresh doughnuts hits you in the face like a Mike Tyson uppercut as soon as you walk in the front door. They always have a good selection whenever I visit. I suppose I could go into a Yelp rage If they don't have a particular kind that I want at the time I visit, but I just choose a different one. I had been trying to get the Pumpkin Filled donut during the special offering week at several locations and thought maybe a "factory" location would be a better shot...NOPE!!! I truly believe this was a marketing ploy to get customers to come in and spend money, since they were there. I came in on Sunday, late afternoon. I don't eat donuts/sweets regularly, but wanted to try something new. Once I entered the building, which had NO Customers in site or in drive thru, there were 2 folks working (and saw me come in) in the back and no cashier/customer service rep. I literally waited for about 4 minutes and was never even greeted or advised someone would be there to help me. Once the rep came in from the back part of the restaurant, she never even greeted me formally, just asked if I had been served. When I responded, "no," she kind of huffed under her breathe and appeared irritated and said, "what would you like." Since I had a reward, I decided to try 2 donuts I had never tried, since I was already there and waited for poor service. I would suggest, if you want to promote something, especially, at a factory location, to provide more product/opportunities to purchase. Trust me you are not the only "game" in town and there are plenty of other places that serve a higher quality and abundant selections at a cheaper price and will be friendly. Today, I stopped by in hopes of ordering the chocolate chip cookie dough donuts and like always, they didn't have any. Again. OK, that's annoying and standard for this location but I'll try java chip then and grab some glazed donuts. You can't go wrong there, right? WRONG. They didn't have any of THOSE either! Really?? Since when do you not have glazed donuts, one of the MAIN donuts always made on site? I left. With nothing. That's my last visit to this location after various disappointing visits unfortunately. You were open...one day you were closed. Two years later I drive past you and see a line. In vain I thought it was for people heading to Red Robin, PF Chang's or BJ's next to you. But no, I saw your HOT FRESH DONUTS lights, calling to me from 2 lanes over in traffic. If I could give a zero out of five stars for this location I would, and for this visit. I tried to make a pickup or even a delivery order from this location. I was unable to select the location I wanted, it would move it to a North Carolina location. When I tried to switch it back to the one I wanted it would not allow me too. I even called the location 4 times to try to see if it was the online perform I using but no answer at all. I checked hours with the message of the phone call and the website. The store is open but I guess no one could be troubled to answer the phone. I am very unhappy and will not be going to this location again. I was going to use one of the deals ending today, but I can't seem to get my order through, so now I'm going to go to a different location and taking my business to them instead. Even though, I live closer to this location versus another one, but I guess it's worth my time to drive to a different location to have better service provided to me and my family.
