Stop going to mainstream donut stores and hit up local shops like this one! The service was so great. The woman who owns it told us how everything is homemade and you can for sure taste that! I really enjoyed the pink doughnut with sprinkles and the bear claw. I can't wait to get other options. The inside also had a good amount of searing for a donut shop which can be nice for a hot day!

Small Family Owned business! Support local! An iced coffee and a donut always hits the spot. The Donuts were light not heavy and not overly sweet. People seem to do more take out so it's quiet inside making it perfect to get away and enjoy some quiet time.

I really want to rate these higher, but I just can't. I got a half dozen about 2 months ago, and didn't love them. They weren't bad, but they didn't taste super fresh. I went to write my review and saw the overwhelmingly positive reviews and decided to hold my review until I gave a second chance. That second chance came last Saturday morning, hoping for some fresh donuts to truly give me a taste to review. I picked a variety half dozen, and unfortunately came to the same conclusion at my first experience. The shop workers (owners?) both times were pleasant, nice, and helpful. Both times had regulars sitting and talking inside. I still feel like maybe I'm missing something, but with two trips with the results, I'm locking in my rating. As you already know, there is no such thing as a bad donut. What you get here lives up to that. Not as light and fluffy compared to some of the other local shops around, but still good flavor overall if this is the most convenient to you.

This chocolate doughnut stuffed with chocolate is to die for! visit the 19th hole donuts they're great! The people are fabulous!

These have to be the best cronuts I've had. They're not overly sweet, they're light and have a nice crisp exterior. Service is good here, they're friendly and quick.

Great service. Owner is very nice. Ordered a Peppa pig cake for a birthday. My order was accommodated on pretty short notice (only a week's notice). Ana sent me some designs and I picked one that I thought was exactly what I was looking for. We agreed on one tier, 8" and a full fondant cake. To match the colors, I drove to the store and provided Ana with the Peppa pig candle that I was planning on using. We also agreed that the flavor would be Black Forest with mixed fruits (not fresh) and a mascarpone cream filling. I didn't pick up the cake but a family member did. The cake was ready on time and it looked pretty good and matched the design. The cake however was just a chocolate cake with a cream filling and no fruits. Nevertheless, the cake was moist and had a nice flavor. Overall, a very good experience and service. Prices are average too.

It's definitely a spot that catches your eye and makes for a cute dining experience. The service was good and everyone was friendly. We started with the green fried tomatoes on sourdough, which were an interesting take and a fun item to try. We also ordered the jambalaya, and while the flavors were decent, it was on the drier side and didn't quite have the rich, saucy consistency I was hoping for. Overall, the food was okay, but I think the atmosphere is what really makes Welcome Diner stand out. I'd definitely come back to enjoy the cute retro vibes and try a few other things on the menu. Sometimes the setting is just as much a part of the experience as the food, and this place definitely has personality. Cute atmosphere, good service, and a fun vibe. But I can judge simply food or filet a trout or chicken and add a homemade beurre blanc sauce. I like simple red wine but relish a Camus anniversary bottle. We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Just 2 minutes from the ALB airport, this spot hits exactly how you need it to hit when you're either coming off a flight or heading into one: easy, classic, no-frills comfort. I went with the corned beef hash + pancakes breakfast, and it delivered that old-school diner energy. The hash was hearty and filling, eggs cooked just right, and the pancakes? Soft, golden, and exactly what you expect--nothing fancy, just solid. But let's be clear... the real reason you come here is the pie. Village Inn doesn't play about their pies, and the banana cream pie is the headline act. Light, creamy, not overly sweet, topped with whipped cream and just enough texture to make every bite feel intentional. For under $20 a pie, it feels like one of those rare "still worth it" moments in today's food scene. Yes--it's a chain. But this location in Albuquerque shows up like it understands the assignment: quick service, consistent quality, and that nostalgic diner comfort that doesn't try too hard. DISCOVERY SCORE: * Food: * Service: * Value: * Must-Try Factor (Banana Cream Pie): Would I come back? For the pie alone? Absolutely.
