Atmosphere 3/5 Typical SC Creamery decor less the guy sleeping at one of the three small tables inside. I've been purchasing ice cream and cakes from Cold Stone for almost 20 years. This location by far makes the best cakes and ice cream. Their cakes always very fresh and full of toppings. This year alone we've purchased four cakes and likely we'll get a few more before the year is out. These have been the best cakes we have purchased in all the time we've been customers of Cold Stone. So far this year we've custom ordered a peanut butter playgroung with Kit Kats small rectangle, mint Oreo and brownie small rectangle, peanut butter playground but with cookie dough ice cream and brownie in small rectangle, and a ready-made cake. Unfortunately, about 2 years ago the prior owner of this location, told me they would no longer take custom cake orders so they recommended another store. At the time, It was okay for me because I had moved further away from this location. But it was a huge disappointment as their cakes were almost all ice cream and no toppings, despite all the extra add-on charges they billed me. This year, I had decided to stop ordering all together from Cold Stone. But my son has always had a Cold Stone cake for his birthday and it's like a tradition, so I decided to give this location a call, since new ownership. This location is amazing and accommodating for food allergies! I have both a peanut and tree nut allergy, and the staff has no problem going to grab fresh utensils and mixing up a safe concoction for me. I've been frequently this location since it opened and love going every few months for a treat. This location is by far the friendliest I've been to in the state of Arizona! read more

Which consisted of Chocolate ice cream, roasted almonds (free topping) and I had to pay for Marshmallows twice because for some reason it wasn't part of the 4 free toppings. I received my order and probably had less than 10 marshmallows in my Ours size and a sprinkle of roasted almonds. So disappointing and a waste of money. It's actually one of the few chains in Alaska, so I was very happy to see so many locations down here! And thanks to Grubhub, there's one that DELIVERS to me!!! The container was overfilled & just short of beginning to spill over through the lid! Opted for 2 mix-ins and there was a generous amount of each throughout. We check out what we will potentially order from the website. Not a fan that there is no online ordering here, or my life would have been easier. The shop was clean, but seemingly a bit dark in there. I ask the guy what is he believes is the best treat. He tells me The Founder's Favorite and the Banana Caramel Crunch. J had already scoped out the Founder's, so I chose the Banana. Both were very tasty concoctions, and hit the spot. Back to me in the car, balancing to waffle bowl ice creams. No box. No carrier. This is not going to fare well for me. And it didn't. Just out of the retail complex and a snowbird lady almost crashes right into me! My ice creams, which I have been diligently balancing on the seat next to me, go flying. Caramel and melting ice cream all over my seat, my wallet, my keys and my right arm. Not.going to lie, I said the loudest bad word you've ever heard. Good news, there was salvageable ice cream, and the counter guy had given me the extra in a little cup (with a lid). Just visited 6/27/2020 and upon arriving was rudely yelled at for not having face masks on. We were told we had to leave after stating we had health (breathing/severe asthma) issues which prevent us from being able to wear face coverings without adverse reactions, when having to wear more than around 5 minutes. The Mayor's 4th Proclamation CLEARLY states: 3. The requirement to wear a face covering through this Fourth Proclamation DOES NOT APPLY to the following individuals or entities, or in the following situations: Section 3.a. - "Any individual who cannot wear a face covering because of a medical condition, mental health condition or developmental disability, or who is unable to remove the face without assistance, and any individual who should not wear face coverings under the CDC guidance. An individual is not required to produce medical documentation ofthe condition or disability, provided an employer may require such documentation from an employee in accordance with state and federal law." And after being berated for 'putting our children "at risk' it also CLEARLY states under the "Does not apply" section 3: 3.b. - "Individuals under 6 years old." Businesses.... you aren't allowed to ask what health issue I have which prevents me from wearing a mask. I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life, especially by a business. I understand wanting to follow rules/proclamations for "safety", however please educate employees that it is not okay to refuse business due to a health condition or disability or yell from behind the counter "you can't be in here!!!!!!" Especially after being told that I'm not wearing a mask due to a health condition... "well then you can't be in here, you have to leave!" I've been to Home Depot, Target and Lowes over the past week, which all post the face covering "proclamation rule", however once I mention I have severe asthma, they let me in and don't mention it again. read more

Once again I was treated to a phenomenal ice cream cake for Mother's Day. Most of the time I do the Coldstone cake ordering for our family celebrations but for this occasion it's a surprise that never disappoints. Not only was my cake beautifully detailed and decorated, it was just absolutely delicious. The total experience of visiting this particular location is what keeps our family coming back. The store is so clean and the staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you're looking for the perfect dessert for a special occasion or just because you're in the mood for a tasty ice cream treat I highly recommend this Signal Butte location. Weird experience today...3 of us entered the store and no one appeared to be there. We hollered & yelled...no response. We hollered & yelled louder...no response. We called the store...we heard it ring & ring, no answer. We repeatedly tried calling...no answer. We checked the bathroom...no one in there. Continued with phone calls...no answer. We finally opened the "Ice Cream Makers Only" door. An employee was sitting with her back to the door and her head down. We tried speaking...no response. We tried yelling...no response. At this point, we are wondering if there is a medical emergency on our hands. I absolutely love cold stone ice cream, but we will NEVER be returning there. During the virus we have been using post mates a lot. We ordered a carton of ice cream from cold stone, we received a much smaller size ice cream scoop bowl. 1/3 the size of the carton. So we were out of money since we paid $9 for a carton. The next night we did it agin just to see if maybe it was supposed to be that size? We ordered 1 cartons this time. Same thing happened. At that point we were like okay yeah this isn't okay! So the next day we called them. They said that it was a mistake. So we said okay we are in the middle of making another order so can you please make sure the order for Lexi is 2 cartons. We ordered, got back again 2 smaller sizes!!! At this point we have ordered 5 cartons and got 5 items 1/3 the size of a carton. A LOT of wasted money. I am absolutely furious. We called cold stone and spoke with a manager. They basically said it's post mates fault. Okay how? They didn't even offer us some more ice cream to compensate what we had lost. They could've at least given us like 2 "free" cartons to give us back what we paid for!!!! I really can't believe they didn't offer us anything at all. We spent $60 in ice cream and got about $20-30 in ice cream. For something that probably costs them a few cents, they won't fix. I will never return. read more

I have never had a negative experience at any cold stone until this past Sunday. When I arrived into the store, the three employees were talking amongst themselves and failed to greet me or acknowledge that I was in line. Upon ordering, none of the employees sanitized their hands or washed their hands. Regardless of the COVID-19 situation, you should always wash your hands before handling any food items. The employees also failed to wear gloves. When I arrived home with my to go order, I found my order was missing ingredients and mixed incorrectly, with the whipped cream on my order just dropped on top. We ordered signature creations and the ice cream was incorrect. After reporting this to the owner, they did not seem to care and instead reminded me of their safe social distancing policies. As if social distancing will protect you when your employees fail to wash their hands or wear gloves. read more

INCREDIBLY disappointed in this franchise and the two employees working the ice cream counter during our visit. Before we even ordered our ice cream, we presented them with a smartphone that had a buy one get one free promotion on it that had been emailed to us from the official cold stone rewards club. The promotion did not have any type of code or coupon or need to be printed out; it indicated that we would enter our phone number associated with our rewards account at checkout and receive the buy one get one free as part of the wonder woman ice cream promotion cold stone is running. At checkout, the employees informed us that this franchise does not honor the cold stone rewards program or promotions, and they would not give us the buy one get one unless we logged into our rewards account and showed them "proof" of this promotion. That is not the way the cold stone rewards program runs - if you log in online, all you can do is find a store and revise your account/profile info. We left after only purchasing one of the two ice creams they had already prepared for us. They ripped us off, we should have received twice the ice cream for what we paid. We will never return to this location, they do not operate the way cold stone corporate requires them to and do not honor cold stone promotions or rewards. Why is the store allowed to operate this way? At minimum, this store needs to heavily advertise that you can not redeem your rewards there or redeem any promotions that cold stone as a company is running - in which case, how can this location even call themselves a cold stone??!! Regardless, the employees were well aware of what promotion we were planning on redeeming during our visit before we even ordered, and they let us get to check out before telling us they wouldn't honor it. We will not be returning to this location and will be telling everyone we know not to return as well. You need to honor valid cold stone promotions or inform your customers that you are operating without any participation in the rewards program or corporate-wide promotions. I accidentally went on a school fundraiser night the line was long but the staff was working quickly. They were all friendly and helpful, the ice cream was rich and delicious and to top it off I had a buy one get one free coupon from my dentist. As always, the ice cream here is delicious. I like that it have so many choices for mix-ins and for their specialty concoctions. My kids love going here and I do too. The prices are reasonable considering what you get for that price. Coldstone Creamery is my favorite ice cream place. read more
