12 German chocolate and 12 funfetti cupcakes for our graduate's party. So yum for our GF/DF crew! - A collection of cupcakes with yellow and purple swirled frosting, decorated with various Arizona State University-themed toppers such as logos, mascots, and slogans. The cupcakes are arranged closely together, each in a metallic wrapper, and feature printed paper toppers representing ASU and Arizona State University.

Delightful cupcakes custom made for our ASU graduate's party! Jesse, the owner, went above and beyond to create a perfect order for our GF/DF crew. We totally enjoyed the dozen German chocolate and dozen funfetti cupcakes his bakers created for our event. If you have allergens to work with, Sweet Simon is the perfect baker to make place an order with!

Sweet Simon is a gem in Mesa. Both my kids are lactose intolerant with one also having a gluten allergy. Finding this bakery has been a lifesaver! Jesse and his mom are very friendly. To top it off their cupcakes are delicious and stunning. I ordered two different sets for my boys' birthdays and we received multiple compliments. I am definitely a repeat customer!

The cake is in a clear plastic container. Alongside, there is a chocolate chip cookie wrapped in plastic with a pink plastic fork inserted into it. The items are inside a cardboard box, ready for delivery or pickup.

I had it on my list, but it's not in an area I usually go to. It's tucked away in commercial/ industry area around other businesses. Pretty well hidden. You would have to know its location to drive back there. Once you drive into the parking lot, you see all the trees and the white brick building. The interior and outdoor patio is a beautiful space and we opted to sit out there during some nice weather. For a Tuesday night it was surprisingly full, we had a reservation for 6:30 pm and were sat right on time. The service of everyone we interacted with was great. Our server was friendly and did a great job explaining the menu and making suggestions. We ended up splitting a few dishes- the burrata appetizer, octopus picatta piccante, scallop spaghetti, and roasted airline chicken breast with risotto. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The cocktails were also well balanced and very enjoyable. All in all, glad we ventured out to that area of Mesa to enjoy a lovely dinner!

Thought the food had improved and was very tasty. Our server James was excellent and added to the positive experience. I would have given 5 stars but the mains came out before we were completely finished with the appetizers. Don't enjoy being rushed.

I recommend the mushroom if you like mushrooms. Bulgogi is great, seafood pancake is bomb, and the side dishes are always in point. The only prior knowledge I had about KBBQ before coming here was that you cook the meat yourself. We were confused on what was included in our menu option and we did not receive much guidance from our server. We asked how things were served but she said that it was confusing and hard to explain. This was really off putting. The servers were all very kind though. They were quick with our requests throughout the night but seemed to not be well organized. The food was AMAZING once we finally did order. It took a while for us to get started though because we did not understand the process. We finally deduced from our disjointed conversations that meats and certain sides are included in the $32 option. You can order 3 meats at a time and sides for everyone. After the food started coming out we began to enjoy ourselves. We ordered the regular and spicy bugolgi (these were the favorites), spicy octopus, shrimp and cinnamon pineapple. For sides we got fried rice, ramen, kimchi and potstickers. We were rushed into getting a new grill top and didn't understand why, but after the next round it was made extremely clear. The grill top needs to be changed out frequently because if it's not the oil and food remnants will burn. This wasn't much of a problem until we began cooking the spicy meats. The spices permeated the air and started choking us. We were coughing on hot pepper air and had to request a new grill top instead of being asked if we were ready to switch. This is how we realized we were the only seated table without a vent above our grill. Again the food here was great. Aside from the cinnamon pineapple. That was dry and unripe. It needed a glaze of some sort and the fruit itself was too hard. Everything we ordered was brought out quick and was nicely presented. We had tried to order veggie tempura but they were 86ed so they added some veggies on our meat platters which was much appreciated! I know we were a super needy table so thank you to everyone there. They were all very accommodating and helpful whenever we made a request. They seemed to be pretty short staffed so they took care of us well for how busy they were. I just wish we would've been given clearer instructions in the beginning so we would've known what to expect. We would go again though.

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

It is a little pricey, however, it's worth the cost. As I mentioned, everything is healthy and made fresh. They are a small husband and wife run business, which is always great to see. They are very friendly people who clearly love what they do. There's limited seating indoors, as it's inside Barnone, but you can easily find places to sit outdoors as well.
