I'm not usually a fan of glazed donuts because they are just too sweet for me. Except for Krispy Kreme! I only go when they have their "hot" light turned on to get the fresh donuts off the line that are still melt in your mouth warm. Few things on this Earth are better their fresh glazed donuts. We went to this Krispy Kreme today, to participate in their donuts for good grades program. They give school kids one donut per A in each major subject, like English, Math, etc., up to 6 donuts per child. My younger daughter doesn't get letter grades yet, but the "Meets/Exceeds standards" counted. Each of my girls got their 6 donuts, and I was about to purchase a single donut for my younger son, who didn't have a report card yet. The woman behind the counter was very generous and gave my son a donut of his choosing for free, so that he wasn't left out. It was very, very nice of her, and much appreciated. My son felt very special, and was included in the fun that his sisters were having. I would have paid for it, but the woman behind the counter wouldn't take my money. I was impressed. This location is very clean. There were no dirty tables, the glass door had no fingerprints. There were plenty of the fun paper hats for the kids to choose from. They didn't have a water fountain, but they had a Carafe of water for those who wanted it. That was nice too. While the hot and ready light wasn't on at this visit, we always love to watch the donuts come down the conveyer and go for a swim in the glaze when we can. The kids enjoy that. I would like to take a moment to give a shout out to this Krispy Kreme location and a specific employee named Laron! Management at this location is lucky to have this gentleman as their employee! Laron recognized that we weren't 100% satisfied with what we ordered (from across the room I should add) and he came over to our surprise and beyond rectified the issue without us even having to say a word! Way to go Laron! You're a prime example of what great customer service should be like! Went in 2 hours before close, and the display rack was 80 percent empty. What kind of doughnut shop doesnt stock their most popular doughnuts? Especially 2 HOURS BEFORE CLOSING?? I asked the employee if they had anymore of the preme filled doughnuts left (you know, the ones KRISPY KREME is known for) and she smugly said "nope" as if she didnt want to even serve us. All I can say if was a supervisor of a doughnut shop especially one as popular as this particular chain I'd make sure we were filling the trays when they go empty. Happy National Donut Day! Well, I thought we would celebrate at work today, so I ordered 4 dozen mixed donuts through GrubHub. They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 a.m. That was a perfect time because our leadership team had a daily meeting from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and my team members take break at 8:30 a.m. too. I sent a message to the team that there will be donuts waiting for them at break and told the leadership team I would be bringing donuts into the meeting. Well, here it is 9:30 a.m. and no donuts. I went online and it says that Krispy Kreme had canceled my order. There was no attempt to reach me, or explain to me why. The kicker is that I have to wait 3-5 days to get refunded. I guess Krispy Kreme doesn't care enough about their customers to let them know what's going on? Going forward, I will be switching our donut days to Bosa. Sorry K-K, I love the taste of your donuts but the customer experience is equally, if not more important to me as we are a service provider as well. What a joke! It's 4:30 AM and I went through the drive-through at Krispy Kreme's because it's the only thing open. Being that it is 4:30 AM I am in serious need of coffee right now. So I go through the drive-through and I pull up to the menu. There is a paper sign taped to the menu stating that because of machinery malfunction they can only serve glazed doughnuts. Fine. Last 3 times we ordered raspberry filled, the best raspberry filled around BTW, was disappointed. 1st time mom in law brought a dozen raspberry filled when she visited.nope. We had dinner next door and wanted to get some fresh donuts for breakfast. We do also like Dunkin Donuts but they only baked the donuts once a day. My kids enjoy watching the donuts being made and wearing the paper hats. It was 9 PM on a Tuesday night. When we came in they were making pink donuts for Breast Cancer Awareness - great! I asked one of the workers near the machine if they had a flavor or where just pink in color. She said just color. My three children stood by the window and watched the machines. My husband and I were the only ones in the lobby waiting. There were two workers waiting on people in the drive-thru. They both ignored us. After a few minutes my husband took a seat. Another woman came in the front door and stood near me. Still no one even told us that "they would be right with us". The woman and I commented that they wait was ridiculous and no one had acknowledge either of us ....still. As the two workers filled their boxes near where we were waiting, they didn't even take two seconds to smile at us or tell us ANYTHING. The small female server (with a few piercings and tattoes) yelled at someone in the back. The Manager came out and we figured maybe he would help us. He went to help the three workers in the back and started putting donuts on trays. The "chubby" worker finally came near us. Without saying, "hello", "sorry for the wait", smiling or making any 'eye contact' what so ever she asked to take my order. I wanted to select a dozen donuts. I gave her my order swiftly ....AS I HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO MEMORIZE IT. She asked if there was anything else that I needed. I said "no" and paid in cash so as to get out of there more quickly.
