I went into this shop for a donut and coffee. While I was waiting, I saw a sign advertising 2 original glazed donuts and a small coffee for $2.99. Perfect!! So, I ordered a chocolate cake glazed and a sour cream glazed plus my small coffee. However, it came out to over $4.00 with tax. I pointed out the sign but then I realized it meant I had to get two donuts called 'original glazed', not just any glazed donut, to get the special price. It was my mistake, so I was prepared to pay the full amount. But the manager said, "no charge" because of the confusion. Unbelievable!! I was prepared to pay the full price. What a champ!! Well, I like to start a transaction with someone that can smile and the young lady did not even crack one. It was as if I was wasting her time by being there. My daughter, who is from Vegas is used to the Krispy Kreme there giving out a FREE glazed doughnut after 5:00pm. We came in around 7:00 and was told we don't do that anymore because that was the reason why they shut down. Seriously? I have been here for 12 years and remember the reason why they shut down... overpriced donuts, mis-managed and a recession! I am just surprised that the Vegas store on Eastern has survived all this time. My attitude tonight went from relaxed to tense and I have NEVER experienced this in a Krispy Kreme store before. Should have got her name but she had short hair, a bit stocky, about 5' 6" and was wearing the headsets while we were there. In fact, I wanted to get more items and hang out but after experiencing her attitude could not wait to leave. Also, the free doughnuts were never a giveaway, you still need to buy donuts in order to get the free one during certain hours. My goodness, I don't like it when employees who obviously have no clue as to what they are talking about hand out ridiculous excuses such as that. I am never going back to that location again! Love this place. Used to have it in Iowa but closed down *cry* they really had the best donuts in miles. This place is clean, very friendly staff, and quick. On my last trip to AZ I picked up some donuts to go and they were fresh, and so delicious. Then on my way to the airport I got some to bring home. After coming home, they did not last more than a minute from stepping off the plane. There are so many varieties, I couldn't pick so I just picked one of each. I find it funny how someone (Carla V.) can walk into Krispy Kreme, order donuts, get home and say their order was wrong. If you walk in, they box them right in front of you. How do you not see what they are putting in the box? You literally watch them through the glass display case grab your donuts. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are very good and fresh. This store is the "factory" where they are made there are a lot more in the Phoenix but all thr doughnuts are cooked at this store. I went into this location to get the advertised Valentine's day Doughnuts available Jan30 thru Valentine's day. I was going to take them to a memory care facility. I was told by 2 store employees that they do NOT have any because there is not enough decorations to make them. They said I might be able to get some on Valentine's day but supplies are limited. I was shocked!! It is the first thing on the website, posters in the store too. I am so disappointed with this store. Plus to say "I might be able to get some" hit or miss?? Really. Every time I come here they mess up my order. One time they even lied to me and sold me a donut that was on the screen but they no longer sold and gave me a different donut inside the specialty bag. Wasn't pleased with first and only visit. Stopped for coffee and donuts, coffee was burnt or just very old. Didn't have the donuts I went there for (French crullers). Floor was sticky and there were flies in the restaurant. I threw the coffee away in the dunkin donuts garbage can before I went in. This review is not about the quality of the donut but rather the quality of the Krispy Kreme management and service at the Superstition location. How could one store be so POORLY run? Would it be too much to have in stock all the soda's listed on their sign? I've been there three times in the last 6 weeks when I couldn't get what I want. I live a 30 minute drive away, but I would gladly make the journey any day of the week! Walking inside this Krispy Kreme was like taking a step back in time! You actually get to watch the donuts being made through a glass partition! So cool! Then you come around the corner and see the menu and the seating. It's just like a mid-20th century diner! There are paper hats stacked everywhere, free for the taking. I wore mine home proudly! The kids seemed to love them too. On the menu, I first noticed that coffee is only 25 cents! WHOA! The donuts cost about the same as competing donut chains, but they're so good, there's no contest! When I ordered my dozen, I made sure to try an abundant variety. I also made sure half were glazed. Mmm! The glazed ones... well, my God! The cashier actually turned around and plucked them right off the conveyer belt of fresh donuts! Coming here was such a nice experience!
