I've been here many times when I am looking for Korean food and not want to stuff myself with AYCE Korean BBQ. I really liked their banchan options here, but my last visit wasn't that great. The servers didn't really follow up with us. I really feel the service and quality has gone down. The menus make it look a little ghetto. At bare minimum, print out new menus. Shows you don't care as much if you're using white out tape to update cost. Hope things change for the better.

Favorite Korean restaurant in the east bay and I've eaten Korean food everywhere from Seoul to koreatown in LA and NY and this is one of my favorites. Will miss this place a lot! The banchan is the best, their budae soup is sooo good, and on top of that, it's my kids favorite place. We stopped in today just because we were craving it and was very sad to hear it was the last day! (Leasing ending situation). But hope they can open up again somewhere new as I'll definitely be there! Thank you for all the amazing food!

This place is so good! And super thankful they were accommodating and made the jab chae with no meat. The tofu bi bim bab was perfect and I love the crispy rice. The banchan was fresh and they were happy to bring more of what we happened to enjoy without any delay. Totally worth visiting if you are in the area and craving Korean bbq with great service.

Always the best food and service. Bbq Plus feels like home and it's a place that I go back over and over again. A place where so many Koreans go eat has to be great. Small, quaint and always welcoming.

Ordering from different Korean restaurants (DoorDash) to give them each a try. Korean BBQ Plus has the best assortment of banchan items. Food was packaged well and delivered on time.

Tucked away in an unsuspecting strip mall in Concord, you would probably be too distracted by the taco stand in front of the laundry mat to noticed that you probably walked past the front door of Korean BBQ Plus and heading to the open door that says employees only. That is exactly what happened to me. Luckily somebody was leaving the actual front doors to the restaurant and I realized that the hours were posted on the door and the entrance was actually not where I presumed it was. Got seated right away at a booth and handed the menus. It wasn't too busy inside, but there was a good amount of families/larger parties (4+) eating there. The tables are spread out in the middle (giving pandemic dining vibes, which is great because its more room away from the next party) and then the booths along the wall. Menu is as expected with your traditional entrees and offerings, but the BEST surprised was the prices. They aren't cheap, but definitely a lot cheaper than my favorite local Korean restaurant back home. For example, LA Galbi was priced at about $30 and typically you see that for upwards for $38+ anywhere else. I went for the usual spread: Seafood Tofu Soup, Seafood Pancake, Pork Belly, and the Japchae. Everything came out absolutely delicious and great portions! They do not skimp on portions or quality - and boy was I mind blown. The seafood tofu soup was filled with quality tofu and so much seafood, like literally spoonfuls of seafood in every bite you didn't have to worry about being cheated on portions. Same with the seafood pancake and it was perfectly crispy on both sides. I only wished that they cut it into smaller pieces instead of large pizza slices to make it easier to eat. The japchae came with beef protein and noodles were not overcooked or over sauced. The pork belly was thinly sliced and came stacked with a side of sesame oil/salt dipping sauce. The banchans did not disappoint either and they were kind enough to keep refilling them. I mean all in all, it was a great experience and the quality of food was top notch! I only wished they didn't forget my Galbi, but they were quite apologetic and took it off the bill right away. I will definately come back the next time I'm in the area! Other things to note, it was clean on the inside. The bathrooms were also clean and easy to find parking in the large lot! They do take credit cards and are NOT AYCE.

Very authentic, very good Korean food! I love this place because they have some dishes that are harder to find at other Korean restaurants, for example, 오징어덮밥 (squid on rice). Side dishes are good, service is fast. I highly recommend you check this place out!

kimchi fried rice!!!! best thing on the menu

we tried getting takeout last night only to find out that they're closed for good, so so sad! this was the best place in the area for korean food. if anyone knows what happened, please add me on ig @maral.gunj and let me know!!

Very good Dolsot Bibimbap! Excited to try KBBQ+ for the first time based on recommendation from a friend , and it did not disappoint! REALLY good Dolsot Binimbap that came out sizzling, pipping hot, and you'll get some rice crackers at the bottom of the stone bowl upon finishing the bowl. The restaurant is roomy, clean and a no-thrills design and style, with wooden booth seats or table seating. Service is fast and efficient, and they do not hesitate to bring you more banchan upon request. Prices are also reasonable at this restaurant. We will definitely be back to try their lunch special as well. Overall good value, good food and a good dining experience!

Very good! Just go try it! The food is awesome! The owner is such a lovely wonderful person!

Pork belly

One of my FAVORITE Korean places of all time. My family loves it too! Really friendly service, authentic food, generous portions and delicious side dishes. Very good value, especially if you order their weekday lunch specials, which I often order through Door Dash. I'm a huge fan of the kalbi, the pork belly, and the soft tofu soup! Yummmm.

It's a very simple Korean restaurant and they have a couple of portable air conditioner inside, which is a good thing for the hot weather. Customer service is great. Today we ordered the beef ribs, seafood pancake, and cold noodles. The beef ribs is so tender and flavorful, seafood pancake is full of seafood and crispy and the cold noodles is chewy, savory and refreshing. Love it!!! :)

Met up with family at this restaurant for a weekday lunch. I'm not well-versed on Korean cuisine,…read moreand there are only a few dishes I feel safe ordering with the short ribs being one of them. Our group ordered the 2 meat/2 soup special for 4 persons and it was definitely enough food for our group. The short ribs were excellent and I even enjoyed the soups (not sure what they're called, but one was pork and one was beef). Excellent service throughout and the place was very busy. Parking could be a challenge depending on the time of day as it's shared with other merchants.

Something against Filipinos? Or me? Did I do something wrong? I ordered bibimbap and so did my dad. My sister got tofu soup. My mom was sharing soup with her. It was obnoxiously loud because there was a birthday being celebrated at the table in the middle (not the staff's fault but maybe this got on the staff's nerves?) I asked for 1 refill of the side dishes. 1. Waitress gives us a refill. So that's the initial set of side dishes and 1 refill. As my dad goes up to the back portion of the restaurant to pay, I ask for another refill of side dishes. Lady with shorter hair says, "no." with a stern look of disgust. I go, "uhh..okay." Really weird, that's never happened before, ever. My sister and mom left a few minutes prior and got their tofu soup to go because of how loud it was--we weren't done with our meal they just wanted to get out of there. If the soup was still on the table and all 4 of us were sitting down, would she still have said no? We then left a $5 tip (I wanted to give $0 actually after what just happened). As I left the table and went out the door, I saw the waitress looking at our table from the back where you pay, she was checking to see if we even left a tip (because my dad didn't put a tip on the bill as we like to leave cash tips). Just all around bad vibes. I very rarely give 1 star reviews. Actually the food here is unfortunately phenomenal, so if you've never had a bad experience here go ahead and continue eating here it's great. Food portions are terribly small for the price you pay. It's a flat out rip off for the cost. Maybe if their service was good it would justify the cost, but their service as described above, despicable. I know my thoughts are all over the place but I'm a bit rattled still at what just happened. I finished eating there 7:48pm, it's 8:03pm as I'm typing this on my phone in the car while the memory is fresh. That's how irked I am. They did not refill our water or ask to refill our water until I asked, and I only asked once. I saw they asked other tables if they wanted refills of water. That, plus the side dish refill and the short haired lady who's probably the owner saying no? I never want to come back. I felt disrespected, unappreciated, and felt racially profiled like because I'm Filipino she didn't like our kind there or something. The vibes were really off. I'm never coming back here voluntarily. At least that's how I feel right now. My experience, 0/5. The food, unfortunately 4/5, Score: 1 star because that's the lowest I can give it. Expect to see this review on here, Google, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok. To the owner / waitress who didn't give me refills on the side dishes, if you're reading this: didn't think I'd go this far to share my experience did you? The angry side of me hopes you lose business. The more peaceful side of me hopes you read this, think about what you did and if it was right, and think about your customer service and making people that come to your establishment and paying you to eat your food, happy. Because the look you gave when you said, "no." When I asked for the refill of side dishes, you might as well have spit on my face. That's how it felt. If you feel no remorse over this incident, then I wish poorly on your business, but I doubt this review will affect your profits. Good bye. Never again.

Service was amazing here as the staff attentive. Tangerine Soju slush (5/5): Was going to get the strawberry one, but the staff recommended this one instead. I am so glad I took their advice. It wasn't too sweet and tasted fresh. Beef tartare (5/5): Definitely one of the best I've ever tried. A pile of raw beef pieces on top of slices of pears and topped with a raw egg. The creaminess from the runny egg really enhances the flavors of the beef. The pear was refreshing and added a hint of freshness Seafood pancake (5/5): This was also one of the best I've ever had. There was plenty of seafood and the outter batter was crunchy. Cold noodle (5/5): Was very refreshing on a hot day, but the mustard was very spicy. Probably recommend this if you're not sharing with a large party. Original Kalbijim (5/5): Now time for the star of the show. I really recommend getting it with cheese. But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.
