Left: Red Dragon Roll Right: Sunshine Roll

Tried Kobe for the first time and it was great! The sushi rolls we had were fresh and delicious, (Sunshine + Red Dragon). We also ordered the tiger prawns special, one of several specials that evening. The dish came with a red curry sauce, daikon and lettuce to create wraps, which we enjoyed. The service was great, with dishes coming out at just the right intervals (dining was not rushed, but we also weren't kept waiting) and their patio dining was ideal for a nice summer evening. The best part was the price, which felt very reasonable given the quality of the service and food. We will be back to try the indoor dining experience at Kobe for sure!

I didn't expect to run into such a top notch sushi spot deep in southern Oregon. The fish was fresh and high quality. In the rolls, the chef had an ability to pair ingredients that emphasized texture, all the while working in excellent flavors. The darru and surf and turf rolls were a highlight. The sea urchin roll was out-of-this-world, like a bite of delicious ocean. Starting with the wagyu sliders was a great contrast to the cold sushi dishes. Fatty beef, seared, with salty seasoning and pickles. Excellent! The service was struggling the night we went. They held us up at the bar 20 minutes past our reservation time. They only seated us because we gave up on waiting for an outdoor table. It then took 20 minutes to meet the server and order, and another 45 minutes to start eating. Ultimately the food exceeded the flaccid service. I will be back, but not on a night when I'm in a hurry.

Great food, great service!! We went back after not being there for a while and it was amazing! We got six rolls, three appetizers and a dessert and they were all delicious! The service was excellent! We'll definitely be going back soon!

When you come to Kobe, you're really just coming for the atmosphere. The food is priced for the patio seating next to the creek. Very nice for a date, family time, or solo. Service can be hit/miss, but at least everyone is friendly. The menu description is very enticing, but the delivery somehow falls a little short for the value. I may be a bit harsh, but for the price (even with the ambiance), I would like for the sushi rice to be seasoned appropriately. Probably one of the most difficult things to achieve when making nigiri. Again, for the price point, I am expecting the rice to shine. I will be back as all of the above are not deal breakers due to the location, but wanted to help manage readers' expectations.

Staff was friendly here and food was OK- not sure if you'll get better in this area but if you've had sushi anywhere else on the west coast you probably won't be blown away. Fish was fresh but rolls in general lacked flavour. Tempura was piping hot but again not much flavour, but by no means bad at all. We got a bunch of rolls to try and food came out VERY slow for a Monday night but servers were attentive to water refills. Probably won't come again but only because I'll probably just give up on Southern Oregon sushi for the time being. Not bad overall

Wonderful food and service! I love the ceviche. Tonight we tried the sake-steamed clams for the first time - delicious! Fish flown in daily.

Solid fish, good food and a nice place to sit and have a cocktail. Great location on Lithia.

Probably the best sushi in Ashland. I just wish they had more options beyond the tempurah - heavy menu.

The fried chicken was delicious--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The melon dish was excellent and one of my favorites. I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. The service was friendly, attentive, and patient. Overall, it's a great place to dine in Ashland.

A happy hour menu was posted in the window-from 4-5pm every day of the week. We got in during happy hour and were able to score one of the few outdoor creekside tables. It was super pleasant to be able to sit outside and hear the creek while eating delicious food. Ordered the house made blackberry soda-pretty good. Also had the happy hour fried chicken and hh burger, as well as the scallops off of the main menu. The burger was thick and juicy. My kids and husband said the fries were some of the best they've had-crispy exterior and soft interior. Fried chicken had a light crispy coating on the outside and the honey Aleppo mixture was great, though son said it could've used a little more salt. My scallops were some of the best scallops I've ever had before--so well cooked and perfectly seasoned and with these thinly sliced snap peas that were just barely blanched that added texture and freshness to the dish. For dessert I had the olive oil cake with fresh berries--so delicious and perfect way to top off the meal. Service was pretty good. Would def be back!

Go for the lunch special and the vibes. A year or so ago they opened an outdoor bar area with a big…read morescreen TV with table-side service. It's developed a local cult following for sporting events. We watched most of the World Cup 26 games out there and enjoyed slices and beers. Maybe I'll see you there. Pro tip here is to not sleep on the salads. They are made really well, with balanced flavors and textures. It's a perfect meal to get the lunch special which comes with a salad of your choice (I recommend the Creekside salad) and a slice of pizza. The main issue is if you are a pizza snob (guilty as charged), the bakes on the pizzas are really inconsistent. They often don't use a cooling rack when the pizzas come out, so the crust instantly becomes moist from trapped steam. When the kitchen is slammed, the pizzas are flop city, and sometimes a soupy mess. If they set up quality measures to get a nice crisp crust, they could keep up with their cross-town rivals in the plaza. For now they trail on pizza quality due to inconsistency. Because of all this, I think of Creekside as more of a bar than a specialty pizza place. I enjoy it for what it is, which is pretty darn good.

Not only was the vibe fun (it really is "creekside") but the indoor space was cute, quiet, relaxing. As a plant-based eater I was able to find a sandwich there that could be modified to vegan, and it was delicious. My husband had a slice of pizza and salad and really liked it too. It's on our list of places to stop at next time we are going through the area!
