Creekside is usually pretty consistent but maybe I caught them at a bad day. While it was definitely full for a Thursday evening, we were sat and told it would be about 30 minutes for our pizza which turned into an hour wait. This wouldn't have been as bad but we weren't checked on once and quickly ran out of water. When our drinks came, they tasted watered down which most likely was because they were made and then sat on the bar counter and the ice had melted. When the pizzas came, one had the incorrect toppings, and the other was missing the sides that was ordered. We weren't checked in on so I had to flag down a server to get it. When it was time to check out they thought that we had already been closed out because they had lost our receipt and took a while to find it which brought us up to over 2 hours for a pizza dinner. Food was pretty good, came quickly and service was nice! The pizza was served with a chipotle ranch which was delicious and a grand dipping sauce for both pizzas. The salad was delicious, a good blend of dressing me greens with not to much cheese. The pecans were all stuck together but there was a healthy helping of it to top off the salad. The place itself had a very bar like atmosphere. The tables were sticky and the chairs were mismatched. There was a pool table in the corner. Good food as always! This is where I usually come if I've been driving all day and arrive late at night after everything else shuts down. You get a ginormous slice of cheese, pepperoni, or another pizza, plus they have beers on tap they let me sample before buying a pint. I docked a star because we had poor service that night, but I suspect it's because the pizza place was short staffed. read more

The location and ambience are unique, service was ok but the food (pizza) was mediocre at best. My wife got a salad and she loved it. The pizza crust was very dry almost like a cracker, little to no cheese, not my favorite. $78 for 2 pizzas and a salad. A little pricey IMHO but it's in a very popular area. read more

Customer beware - Creekside jacked up their prices that are outrageously high. I've been going to Creekside for years and recently ordered a large pizza. I subbed out the tomatoes and added mushrooms and chicken expecting cost increase just on the chicken. The total cost was $45 which was shockingly absurd. I was with 6 people and all of us complained about the extraordinary cost with the onsite manager and nothing was changed. So we won't be going back to Creekside again after years of spending sometimes weekly dinner there. We tipped the server because it wasn't her fault that Creekside is price gauging above the 2.6% inflation rate from when prices were reasonable just last a year or so ago! I've never seen a large pizza cost $45 and it wasn't even fancy - nothing was fresh or organic for instance. Really no way to treat loyal customers read more

The balance of price, quality, and quantity does nothing to justify the price. 1) Price ($36 to $45 for an 18" pizza); 2) Quality (nothing special like organic or farm to table); and 3) Quantity (barely okay with a scarcity of sauce and ingredients). I was really sad to update this review, but damn, talk about a 180. We happened to sit at a table by the window and bar, and had to watch our drinks sit for over fifteen minutes after being made while our server chatted and laughed with coworkers. When another server passed us, we asked about our drinks and we're brushed off with an "I'll let your server know". The creekside lemonade was still very good, even watered down, but that's all. Our pizza was burnt and when we asked our server to replace it she did...with another burnt pizza. Shay was nice, but just not a good server. read more

Pizza was pretty good. The antipasto plate was good too, though really it's just packages and jars opened and spooned onto a platter. When we got there it was pretty dead, but it got busy quick, which wouldn't have been a problem, except then we got no service at all. Had to ask for forks and napkins. Asked for a side of ranch, never got it. Had to ask for the check twice, and then ask that they take the charge for the ranch off. Had to ask for a box. We never got asked if we needed anything else. This was a fun place to find. It is tucked back away from the street and there is a nice creek there. I really enjoyed the crust of their pizza. It seems alive in a way: its fluffy with lots of little air bubbles. I enjoyed a few drink with friends. Creekside is my place for incredible pizza, made just the way I like it. The way I like it is with a gluten-free crust and dairy-free cheese, plus my choice of meat and veggie toppings, as many as I want. How else do I like it? Delivered to my door for free, that's how. But hold on, hold on -- my accolades so far have done short shrift to that crust. My-oh-my! Just like (if not better than) the glutenous variation, I swear. It's an upcharge, but one I'm happy to pay instead of running around the next day in a pair of adult Depends. Perhaps that was too much information. If your plumbing is not that way, chow down on one of the many options available, including Italia-inspired sandwiches. Very hard to find, I don't know how the heck they've survived since 1995 because there's no real signage and they are very tucked away under the bridge. Waitress was nice but not very attentive at all. Food took a very long time. I had the pear salad- the pear was incredibly unripe, but the rest of the salad tasted great and looked beautiful. The pizza was very disappointing. Canned pineapple on the Hawaiian, lots of minced garlic on the margarita. The crust was touch on the bottom. Just overall very underwhelmed. Out of the six times I've been so far, the service is always slow, seemingly uninterested in interacting with people, and shockingly, staff appear uninterested in padding their tip by suggesting more drinks. I eventually just gave up waiting to order with our server and went up to the bar myself to order more. The peekaboo "views" of the creek, the strong feeling of history in the space that hints at its previous tenants, it all makes for a great ambiance or "vibe" in our modern parlance. We ordered a pizza, wings, and the Pear Walnut salad and nothing disappointed. The pear salad was absolutely delicious with fresh crisp pears. The wings were spicy with chunks of garlic, served with celery. My son really wanted more celery and the kind server brought him an entire plate of his own, which he crushed! The pizza was delicious as always- we got half cheese half mozzarella and meatball- and the meatballs were perfectly tender! My friend was standing at the bar and they ignored him and helped probably six people who arrived after him for some reason, and didn't even acknowledge him. They must be very understaff especially they hired this one particular server. Not a good experience with their customer service. It's understandable when it takes some time for the food (a slice of pizza and a sandwich) to come out. I would not give 2 stars just because we waited 30 mins for the food. My main concern is customer service. We never got our silverware or napkins. They didn't refill our drinks. We said thank you for receiving the drinks, the server said "uh huh". When we got our food, we said thank you, and she didn't even respond. She looked like she was in a bad mood and didn't want to be there (she probably didn't want to). I get better customer service from McDonald's. I'm very disappointed because I do like their pizza. The sandwich that we got though was burnt. Love the pizza here, they sell it by the slice! It's a great environment and they have a decent bar. They rotate their slices of the day and get creative so you never know what you'll get! This is usually a regular stopping point when I'm out and about in Ashland. The costs has gone up since Covid but where hasn't it? The staff is always friendly and welcoming and it's a low key place you can pull up a seat at the bar and watch the game. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes east coast style pizza. read more
