Lovely patio with a beautiful view!
    Angela C.

What a lovely spot! We absolutely loved the patio with its beautiful decor and view of the mountains. The Brussels were yummy, and we loved our giant bowl of tots. Service was a little slow on the patio, but everyone was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back the next time we drive through.

So I have to open this up with a reason to why I had to come here on my wife's and I road trip. She reads a lot and she sometimes gets the audio books and says "YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS" So the legends of thezmarr by helen scheuerer is a fun story I got hooked on and my wife loved that we can talk about it so it makes it that much more fun. There is a tavern called "the laughing fox" so I told My wife we need to go here or Kip would be anger (Kip being the character that loves going to that tavern) she did not get it at first but when I did the hint hint wink wink she understood me. Needless to say ... The Noble Fox not only filled the fun of the book they also came through with how Delicious and amazing of a place it is. I was sad they did not sell their cups with the Fox on them or hats... I would have been all over it... lol Now the review The Noble Fox is an amazing resource that matches the vibes and of the clever and tempting Fox. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They allow dogs on the patio and the views and comfortable nature is amazing. We were hosted by Aarron and he was amazing, made sure we had what we needed and was considerate to every question. He was great for suggestions and overall hosting is such an important characteristic so we appreciate you . The food... I'll be honest we planned on just having. A drink and some fries... but the menu was just too intriguing especially to a couple that loves to cook. Soooo my wife got the harvest salad and I got the fish and chips. The fries were amazing... they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We could not stop eating them. The harvest salad my wife enjoyed, we enjoy good salads and the berry and chopped seemed like something we have had before so the Harv had some unique takes with the dressing and fresh toppings. She enjoyed it but said it would be more amazing paired with salmon. Which is unfortunate because she was just recently deemed allergic to it. The fish and chips... just get it.. don't question it just get it... most fish and chips just focus on the lemon, salt or tartar to give the fish flavor... nope... the noble Fox understands the fish and batter need to be pre seasoned then seasoned after . The batter needs seasoning and I just need to say that fish was not going to survive my plate. If there was a second one I don't think it would survive the place. Arron also read my mind. Their tartar sauce was delicious...but he opted for malt vinegar and that was the end of it all. Overall the Noble Fox will be a destination stop for us every time we come down this way. It's an amazing little spot and there is a lot on the menus that brings fun and unique flavors in. They have great service , an arcade room , a private game table room and a welcoming environment. Also if you read the books ... you have to go ... what would Kip do?

Son #1, with his family, picked this restaurant, and his BFF from college, with his family also have lunch with us. There were 9 of us. I ordered the Ashland Chicken BLTA, many ordered the burger, I"m not sure. I enjoyed all mine, son had the Crispy Taco, I tasted part of his, and hubby tasted part of mine, or I tasted part of his. The children enjoyed their hamburger. And ordered some fruit, extra for the children. Sandwiches and hamburgers served with fries, or Tots, Parmesan Herb Fries +2 or Hot Honey Tots +2. Hubby thought his Tots were too salty. I also enjoyed my fries! They're cut thin, exactly how I like them, and they're seasoned with herb. Granddaughter didn't ate all her fries, plus my fries and some Tots (we took those for another meal, the next day at home). We ate outside, it was a beautiful 71 degrees, and the kids can be rowdy, and they have fun! They also went inside, to play the arcade or video games, I wasn't sure. Service was amazing! Hubby was also given a complimentary cream cheese cake. Thank you!

I absolutely love this place. If you're in Ashland definitely check it out. The Bloody Mary bar is amazing, the portions are incredible. Vegan options. Great for kids. Our service was quick and easy. Lots of flies around, but what can you do about that.

The best ever!!! A hidden surprise. Hidden in a brewery off the beaten path. Italian pizza the bomb! BBQ pork Mac and cheddar cheese. Patio dining with excellent service. Five stars.

I'm upgrading to 5 stars. The reason? Bulgogi nachos. Plain and simple. Wonton nachos topped with kimchi, sweet/savory/gingery beef? Yes please and thank you. So creative and delicious. Service was an issue last time, but I think it was because the place was new and working out the kinks. The kitchen has always been running on all cylinders and doing a great job with such a diverse menu. Drink options are good. I'll be moving forward as a regular. Strong work, Noble Fox!

BEER TRIES: Quiet Village - Delicious. Easy drinking. Clean and smooth. A great choice on a hot day. Drink cold. Nefarious - Subtle. No aroma. Very subtle flavor until squeezing the blood orange slice into the beer. Grassy/floral aftertaste. Lithia Fog Hazy IPA - Great balance of hop and sweetness. Good floral aroma and aftertaste that blends nicely with the hop bitterness. I liked it better on the second sip. The Noble Fox Stout - Not a creative name like the others. Maybe call it, "Shade of Lithia Park" or "Dark Mulch of Lithia Park"? Toasty and sweet. Surprisingly drinkable on a hot day. A littler watery (I lack a better description) but full of flavor. A solid stout. TRIVIA: What "quintessential" item is available for purchase? FOOD: I didn't expect there to be anything Peruvian in a tap house, but there it was, on the menu. The description included "fries" and not as a side. So I had to try it. And it was really good. It struck me as the "catch all" kind of meal. Protein, rice, veggies, fries (how can you go wrong with fries), and delectable sauce that is contained so you can use as you see fit. There is quite a bit of cilantro sprinkled about. In case you're of the soap flavor genes. SERVICE: Good. Not great. Not overly friendly. Felt like they were mildly distracted by things beyond the customers at the bar. But they got things done and were constantly working.

Great place to grab good food, a beer or a cocktail before a performance here in Ashland. Servers are attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly and was tasty. Bar in front is a little small but I'd consider it cozy. The outside patio was nice but at one point the sun was sneaking through the umbrellas and there was no where to hide from it. Place came highly recommended by a couple we met at a shop in Medford and would totally recommend this to others as well.

    Amanda M.

The staff was very nice and allowed us to place our bikes in the back since we did not have any locks. The patio is nice to sit at. I had a great salmon bowl that was large and fresh. One person had a chicken sandwich that was smothered in a sauce and that one wasn't as good. Beers were decent. Unfortunately, there was only one waitress so everything did take longer. She was great, but she could have used help with how many tables there were.

Food is good, beer is also pretty good. I got a burger and an IPA. I found the IPA fresh and enjoyable

So we made the mistake of not making a reservation but they had a few tables in the bar. The service was friendly and accommodating. I was amazed at my fish & chips! I'm a fish & chips lover and have eaten them from London to Sydney. This was a huge piece of haddock, covered in crispy house made beer batter. The shoestring "chips" were perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned to perfection. Now to what my husband ordered. He tried the Buddha Bowl. Again, it was a huge serving of veggies, chicken & chick peas over rice. The problem was it lacked flavor and was dry. First he asked for salt, hoping that would fix it but then realized it was still lacking in flavor and dry. So he asked for more sauce, which they brought him without complaint. The burgers a couple tables down looked...you guessed it...big! My husband should've just gotten a burger, although $20 seems like a lot for a burger at a brewery. I do recommend this eatery/brewery but just not the Buddha Bowl.

Host staff was very hospitable which is always a plus upon arrival. HH was happening when we arrived so we chose the herb dough bites off that menu, along with 2 house chardonnays. Dough bites were underwhelming to say the least. Some were hard and some were soft and chewy. They were served with a grainy Dijon mustard and some sort of an aioli sauce. Marinara sauce would have been more appropriate. On to the entrees. I chose the ahi tuna salad and my hubby went with a basic burger. His opinion ... just a burger. Fries were fresh and yummy. My ahi tuna salad came with passion fruit vinaigrette and unfortunately it was super tart and not good at all. Make sure to have them give you a taste before you commit. I asked for a side of balsamic dressing but unfortunately the passion fruit one was already overwhelming it. I know not to order seafood in bar and grill but I thought I was safe with it incorporated in a salad. My advice ... stick with the basics ... beer and a burger !!!

I love that the restaurant store front is opened wide, it makes it easy to approach and order at the counter. They have a very large variety of alcoholic drink options and some very tasty non alcoholic options as well. Even though we sat outside about 5 tables down, they still came by to deliver our food to us instead of having us waiting inside. The food was amazing. Meat was juicy, bread was perfect, both the sides of fries and house made chips were delicious. The ranch tasted like it was house made as well but I forgot to ask them. My cider was great and my partner got a strawberry slushy- both did not disappoint. The overall theme inside is adorable! It's got a lot of wooden pieces and a camping trailer inside really ties the theme together nicely. There is plenty of tables and shade outside and lots of indoor seating as well. Bathrooms are super clean and clearly well maintained by the folded toilet paper roll. The only thing I will say is if you're going to sit outside expect outside things to happen. There was a lot of flying debris from around the creek due to someone down the way doing outdoor maintenance. Despite this, my partner and I thought it was worth it to hear the running water and be in such a beautiful area for lunch. I would scream my recommendation from the roof top if I could. Thank you for a great meal!

First, Ashland is a great LOCATION to grab a bite before braving the mountain passes on either side. Within the town the Skout building is LOCATED at the edge of the creek and beautiful Lithia park, and finally the Skout LOCATION itself is a building comfortably decorated with a camping themed ambiance. We ordered the Ultra Meltathon (grilled cheese), a Brisket sandwich, and truffle fries. The Skout version of a grilled cheese, augmented with bacon and jam, was the standout for us. The thin cut and crispy truffle fries were also very good and were gobbled up quickly. On the other hand the brisket was a bit dry but serviceable today rather than a standout. Maybe add some bbq sauce to elevate it a bit? I loved the curated craft beers on tap so check these out if so inclined. See the pics for a glimpse of the roll-up door window that opens to the park, the inside tables and camper, and of course the food. Probably a 4.5 but rounded to 5 stars because of ... location, location, location!

Speaking, the brisket in the Banh Mi was unfortunately tough and lacked the tenderness you'd expect from a properly smoked or braised cut. It had the distinct texture of a pre-packaged Sysco-style product, or perhaps it was a cold portion reheated on a flat top without being properly rehydrated, leaving it dry and chewy. I understand that protein carries a high food cost, especially in the current market. However, a more effective approach might be to balance the menu engineering by leaning on lower food cost items, like seasonal sides or creative vegetarian options, to offset the expense of sourcing and correctly preparing higher-end brisket. This would allow for a better product that justifies its price point, covers its own cost, and ultimately helps the company's bottom line while maintaining the quality standards this town deserves. I'd love to see a return to the quality I experienced a few years ago. All and all, despite the brisket. The service was kind and friendly.
