We had a great meal at The Noble Fox! Parking isn't super easy nearby, so if you are already parked in a lot or structure, stay there and walk. It's just off Main Street. We went in at dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated right away without a reservation, but you can make one online. I could see them being busy on a weekend or a busier part of the season. There are tables for groups from 2-6. They also had some pinball and other games in the back (as well as some board games in a side room). We didn't find out the ins and outs of the games, but it makes it feel like a place you are welcome to stay at for a while. They had a great kids menu. Our girls both wanted pizza and the observant server recommended they share a pizza because they are not small. It was accurate and kept us from having a whole leftover pizza, even though the prices were reasonable and it would have been a good value. The two adults shared the spicy cauliflower from the appetizer menu and the quesacarnitas tacos. Both were seasoned well, very flavorful, and all around delicious. The cauliflower wasn't super spicy, but it was super tasty so we weren't mad. The place is a brewery but we had cocktails. My husband said it was the best margarita he had on our trip and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. My Paloma was also good! Overall, we were super pleased with our visit. Gluten free items are marked clearly and there is also a gluten free bun and pizza crust to choose from. So I'm sitting here enjoying a mediocre meal watching the US play soccer, and the bartender asks a waitress if she is rooting for the US and her reply was "fuck no"?? Will not be coming back. The issue is professionalism. While eating and watching the U.S. soccer match, the bartender asked a waitress if she was rooting for Team USA. Her response, loud enough for customers to hear, was, "Fuck no." Whether you support the team or not is your personal choice. But as a paying customer, it's not appropriate to make comments like that in front of guests who are there to enjoy the game and their meal. The food was mediocre, but the atmosphere made the experience worse. Respect for your customers should come before personal opinions while you're on the clock. We are coming in from out of town while passing through and decided to stop here as it is rated highly on Yelp! Before coming, like most girlies do, I checked the menu before coming in and I was wanting the Peruvian Bowl since it was on their website but I was told they didn't have it. The front told us we can sit wherever but after sitting there I realized we had no menus. So after another 10-15 min I literally went up to the hostess stand and grabbed it myself.... The Buddha bowl was my second choice and it was very good and tasted nice and fresh! Chicken was cooked/seasoned nicely too! My husbands sandwich was really good and he loved the fries. The building was so hot. I was sweating on my seat! Woo it's hot here. Our server, Ruben, was great! He was also the bartender, and food runner, and busser. So I have to open this up with a reason to why I had to come here on my wife's and I road trip. She reads a lot and she sometimes gets the audio books and says "YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS" So the legends of thezmarr by helen scheuerer is a fun story I got hooked on and my wife loved that we can talk about it so it makes it that much more fun. There is a tavern called "the laughing fox" so I told My wife we need to go here or Kip would be anger (Kip being the character that loves going to that tavern) she did not get it at first but when I did the hint hint wink wink she understood me. Son #1, with his family, picked this restaurant, and his BFF from college, with his family also have lunch with us. There were 9 of us. I ordered the Ashland Chicken BLTA, many ordered the burger, I"m not sure. I enjoyed all mine, son had the Crispy Taco, I tasted part of his, and hubby tasted part of mine, or I tasted part of his. The children enjoyed their hamburger. And ordered some fruit, extra for the children. Sandwiches and hamburgers served with fries, or Tots, Parmesan Herb Fries +2 or Hot Honey Tots +2. Hubby thought his Tots were too salty. I also enjoyed my fries! They're cut thin, exactly how I like them, and they're seasoned with herb. Granddaughter didn't ate all her fries, plus my fries and some Tots (we took those for another meal, the next day at home). Noble Fox A tragedy in 3 acts This town of Shakespeare is known for theater and fine dining - until you hit the witching hour of 8pm. Almost all restaurants close then, and even those that claim to be open later will tell you that they "stop seating at 8pm" (I'm lookin' at you, Masala!) but that's another rant for another time. Enter Noble Fox. When it first opened, it seemed too good to be true. A brewery plus an array of affordable, tasty and healthy options, from steak frites to a Buddha bowl and OPEN UNTIL 10PM? My dining out soul felt seen. But - it's been a rocky road for this eatery. There have been a few management changes and some ups and downs with service. And one endemic issue - the place has horrible air quality. Those concerned about cancerous fumes from poor ventilation need not enter. I'd overlooked it in the past because, well - see first point above - open late and good menu. However, more recently I decided my lungs were more important than a dining in experience so I defaulted to take out and eating on their outdoor patio, which I admit, is lovely. ACT I - Wrong order My son and I came for dinner shortly after a new chef joined (not to lead the witness). I resisted the temptation of Fish and Chips and ordered the Spring Berry salad. After a decently long, though not terminal wait, we were served. Instead of the Berry Salad, I received the Harvest Salad. Honest mistake. New kitchen staff. But, I still requested that it be exchanged for what I had actually ordered. It came, after a time, so while not a great experience, I didn't think much of it at the time. ACT II - No take out order possible I knew I'd have a late workout with no time to cook, but did I worry? Not at all. I knew I could count on my favorite spicy salmon tacos from Noble Fox. So, I called and was met with an endless ringing. No problem. I drove on over and as per usual, walked up to the bar to order takeaway, only to be met with a surly greeting from the barkeep. Upon learning that I wanted to place an order to go, he barked "It's gonna be a while." I smiled in return, letting him know I was fine to wait. After 10 minutes of waiting, with nary a second look, must less apologetic word from him, I figured tonight was not going to be my night so I departed, hungry. ACTI III - No food, period. A few weeks later, another late night and I agreed to meet my son here at 8:45pm for dinner. We were able to get a seat at the patio, where there were numerous other diners in various stages of their meals (meaning - we weren't at the tail end of the dining hour). We were able to place our orders in reasonable time and then - the wait began. 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes. During this time we witnessed the family next to us waiting 15 additional minutes for the mom to receive her meal after dad and kids already received theirs. Not a good sign. At 45 minutes, we'd reached the limit and walked out. I tried to pay for the wine I had ordered, but the waiter told me it was on the house and was extremely apologetic. So we left, hungry and realizing - we don't need to enable this anymore. So, Noble Fox is dead to me now. Until they figure out how to do the thing they actually are in business to do, and until they deal with their unhealthy air quality issue, I'm going to the Brick Room when I need a late meal. The Staff at Noble Fox are all lovely - I am sad they have to be at the mercy of whatever is going on in that place that is supposed to be a kitchen. Now, off to eat a frozen pizza. read more

Maybe call it, "Shade of Lithia Park" or "Dark Mulch of Lithia Park"? Toasty and sweet. Surprisingly drinkable on a hot day. A littler watery (I lack a better description) but full of flavor. A solid stout. TRIVIA: What "quintessential" item is available for purchase? FOOD: I didn't expect there to be anything Peruvian in a tap house, but there it was, on the menu. The description included "fries" and not as a side. So I had to try it. And it was really good. It struck me as the "catch all" kind of meal. Protein, rice, veggies, fries (how can you go wrong with fries), and delectable sauce that is contained so you can use as you see fit. There is quite a bit of cilantro sprinkled about. I'm a fish & chips lover and have eaten them from London to Sydney. This was a huge piece of haddock, covered in crispy house made beer batter. The shoestring "chips" were perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned to perfection. Now to what my husband ordered. He tried the Buddha Bowl. Again, it was a huge serving of veggies, chicken & chick peas over rice. The problem was it lacked flavor and was dry. First he asked for salt, hoping that would fix it but then realized it was still lacking in flavor and dry. So he asked for more sauce, which they brought him without complaint. The burgers a couple tables down looked...you guessed it...big! My husband should've just gotten a burger, although $20 seems like a lot for a burger at a brewery. Gayle and I returned to the Noble Fox for dinner last week. Since our last visit, the restaurant has taken over the block space wise. However, our dinner was enjoyed in a familiar outdoor patio table and out of the direct sun. We also had a great waitress. This time around, we both ordered Tikka Masala bowls, mine with Chicken and Gayle's with Paneer. This was an interesting and delicious menu choice from a Brew Pub, and I understand that their Tikka Masala pizza is even better. I very much enjoyed my salmon burger - the salmon was not over cooked, and the pickled onions and arugula paired really nicely with it. I thought the ciabatta was a good bread choice. My mom's fish and chips were enjoyed - it was a giant piece of fish and not over battered. The Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese was very rich - on the BBQy side of the world. The steak strips were juicy. All the mains were really quite large. I think my husband took home a whole half of the steak strips. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed her chicken tenders. My 3 year old insisted that all she wanted was bacon for dinner and they gave me two pieces of bacon for $3 which feels like a pretty good deal to me.
