Outdoor seating

The name itself says it all. Simple cafe with simple menu. It's right next door to ace hardware with lots of outdoor seating available. I got eh egg and cheese sandwiches which was tasty. The restaurant is a stand and it's a away from the busy part of town

this food gives me a reason to Live and the staff are always so friendly. Everything has such good flavor and texture and is made to perfection. also, the cutest little outdoor café with outdoor seating, reminds me of island eats.

These guys take great care to make sure their food is healthy and spiced so excellently. The flavor profile makes it the best Mexican food in town by far. Everything I've had here has been great.

Cubano Sandwich $12 - slow roasted pork, smoked ham, house-made pickles, melted jack cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce and onions with fries.

A small outdoor cafe located in the Ace Hardware parking lot in downtown Ashland. The food is made to order and I feel good about myself for making a healthy choice for lunch with friends. The prices are average (~$10 for an entree). It's a great casual little place to grab a bite and enjoy the sunshine.

I was so disappointed after the reviews. Just plain old poor quality food from a truck. I don't get the good reviews at all.

Loved the fish tacos. Not deep fried perfectly grilled. Next time I'll try a breakfast burrito.

The service is good, we've been there with our family and with a large group, and they have always been very patient and friendly. Alchemy is in my top 3 favorite places for a dressy dinner when we are visiting Ashland. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that we were there celebrating a birthday once and at the end of the meal our server brought out a candle on a small, flat ceramic dish. The birthday girl's comment was, "You just spent $300 on dinner and all they brought me for my birthday was a candle?" It seemed a little chintzy since most places will give you an actual dessert, not just a candle, but at least they brought a candle. Other than that tiny little thing, we still love to eat here and will be back when visiting in the future.

The latter changes seasonally--in our case it was a dashi broth with a variety of local mushrooms and vegetables. Both dishes were good, with my steak cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes amazingly creamy without tasting too buttery; the dashi broth was delicious as well. We also split the steak tartare, the house bread, and the chips & dip (seasonal special) as appetizers. With the exception of the chips & dip, the appetizers were good but nothing outstanding. The chips & dip, however, were REALLY GOOD! I did not know you could elevate potato chips like that, but their house-made chips are delicious and I would highly recommend trying them. Both my fiancé and I were not a huge fan of the sauce (just a little too creamy, it's really smooth though so if you like creamy sauces you'll probably enjoy it!), but just eating the plain chips was amazing. They even brought us a second serving of chips for free since we hadn't used all of the dip! We also ordered a pear tart for dessert which I would also recommend getting! Delicious crust and good pear flavor.

The piano player was great, too. His music really added to the ambience. It is an exceptional, charming place to have a really superb dinner. I would give them far more than 5 stars if I could.

We sat outside the patio, like we were treated to our own little family party. It was something like the Young & the Restless, where they free all the staff and only to themselves to a wine & dine & dance the night away. If you know what I mean? Son #1 picked it, for he attended college here. The grandson, was going around the garden, smelling all the flowers, I was with him, to tell him the names of each flower. "But, don't touch! It could make you very sick!" He's 8, so intelligent and smart and he's gonna be a scientist or an algebra major. We ordered a lot! Including drinks. Everyone was pleased! Customer service was amazing. Hubby received a complimentary Chiffon Cake and it came with a candle. Thank you!

Is it because your flavors are so off, you cannot make anything tasteful? To further complicate the issue I went to the management staff and let them know. I'm having an allergic reaction to your fried chicken and your cream seafood chowder, why the hell are peppers in these products they're not listed in the menu, I let you know about my food allergy and you still serve me these foods . Your response was oh my God so sorry we have no control over what Chef Franco does. Chef Franco if you have any sort of decency, please list Chili's in your ingredients. I do this to gauge reactions. And here, they were super friendly and accommodating. I took a spot at the end of bar and immediately struck up a conversation with the couple next to me. They had a burger that wasn't on the menu I had been given. Apparently there is a sort of soft opening before they open for dinner with a different menu. That's cool! I had about three hours until a Shakespeare show, so I decided for the full experience: Salad - I spent nearly the entire salad experience trying to decide whether I liked the dressing or the bright citrus of the grapefruit better. What was never in question was how tasty and refreshing it was. Crab and Melin salad. Appetizer - I wasn't sure what to expect with the Beef Carpaccio. Definitely my first time with this dish. But it won't be the last time. I probably ate it wrong, but mixing the arugula and cheese was very tasty. It disappeared quickly. Main - so it wasn't really a main, but the dish came at the recommendation of the bartender. The asparagus in the description was the selling point, but the potato dumplings reminded me of gnocchi. It was almost the perfect round up to a stellar meal. Drinks - My favorite cocktail is a prohibition style drink called a New York Sour. I think I like it because the red wine tones down the sweetness of the sour mix. I asked for one and after I finished it, the bartender asked how it was and admitted she'd never made one before. I said it was okay and we talked about what I'd do different. The second one was perfect. See the pictures for a comparison of the two.
