Busy and bustling! Charming restaurant with exceptional service. The food was excellent. Great cocktails at the bar. Will definitely return!

Alright....stop what you are doing and drive to Ashland, Oregon. Don't stop at the hotel, gas station or the hospital. Drive straight to Harvey's Place!!! Park your car in the middle of the street and run to a table. Have them bring you a quart of their "house sauce!". Put that delicious "sent from God" sauce on everything they put on your table...bread, salad, tater tots, but please please put it on the pork chop!!! The chop is wonderful!!! It is the most tender chop I have ever eaten in my life. And look I am from Eastern North Carolina where we eat the pig from the rooter to the tooter! With the heavenly house sauce on it...DAMN DAT GOOD!!!! I will be moving from North Carolina to Southern Oregon to eat this sauce on a daily bases. Oh yeah...the staff are beautiful people and the decor is a step up from the White House....but right now go get that sauce!!!!

We were looking for a place to have some cocktails and appetizers before our show and Harvey's looked really good. Glad this was our choice because everything was very good. We were seated very promptly for a Friday night and service was wonderful. We started with some really well made cocktails and then ordered the shrimp polenta, caprese, and bowls of clam chowder and tomato soup. Caprese had cherry tomatoes substituted for the heirlooms, which was a little disappointing but it was still good and I thought it very nice that our server informed us ahead of time instead of just bringing. I understand about availability so it was fine-but I want to return and try with the heirlooms as I bet it's great! Very nice overall experience.

Took this picture a little late, but OUTSTANDING filet mignon special tonight. We always stop into Harvey's Place for seafood or meat, but tonight the filet was superb. Try the side salad with blue cheese crumbles and their dressing (which is a reduced balsamic vinegar). Wonderful! Staff is consistently fantastic. We highly recommend this place

I'm surprised this place doesn't have above 4 stars on Yelp. Googles rating is above 4.5 We got the chicken pot pie togo. It was pretty good - very nice flaky crust, great flavor. It even came with mashed potatoes and collared greens on the side! My boyfriend ate the collared greens and said they were not good, so don't hold out for those, but the pot pie on its own is lovely anyways. Also friendly service. $14 for the pot pie.

How sad that a place that looks so cute can be deceiving. My husband & I came early hoping there would be a place to sit at the bar. Unfortunately there wasn't but that's ok there was an empty table in the bar. We asked to sit there and the hostess says that is a reserved table. Funny cuz they do not have a reservation available on their website. Whatever we got seated in their dining room. Our hostess brings a craft of water and placed it on the table. Geez not even a smile. We pour our water and about to drink but immediately stopped cuz there is lipstick on all the glasses. Uggh!! Our waitress come to take our drink order. We show her the water glasses and she immediately takes them away. No apologies. We order our drinks and the salmon cake appetizer. Drinks were prepared just right the appetizer unfortunately had a hair. The waitress took that way and at least apologized this time. She did tell us there would be no charge for the appetizer and dessert was on them. That was very nice. Dinner comes...oooo the suspense... My husband orders the filet medium rare and I ask for the halibut. His steak was very good but nowhere near the way he asked for it cooked. My halibut was also good but looked like a piece I had bought at Costco. Just to let all who view this I'm really not a critic but when your restaurant experience starts out on the wrong foot well best to leave. Which we should have done but I really wanted to give this place a try. So here is my experience: Hostess- should be more friendly and helpful Waitress- Very kind somewhat apologetic and service was fine Food - I'll give thumbs down for the salmon cakes due to the hair. Food was not prepared to our asking. Drinks - Right on

A nice quiet place to dine with good food! Our waitress was lively and gave us some tips on things to do and where to go.

We're meeting the family in Ashland for hubby's Diamond Year. We're the first to arrive, so we went…read moreout for a walk, in search of food. We looked at the menu, it said something about a 'creek'. We're sold! As we entered the restaurant, we were asked: "Would you prefer seats by the creek or inside. It was too dark inside to read the menu, and anything to do with water, I'm there. I found the perfect table, where it's closest to the creek waves, but we were soon have to move, because the restaurant shares the outside tables with the restaurant next door. I was sort-of disappointed. The waiter, and the excellent BBQ Ribs & Kettle Chips took that away! Hubby's Recession Burger and Classic Fries were also just as good. He also ordered a side of black bean chili. Service was exceedingly friendly. Waiter was very informative about the direction, how to get to the other side of the creek, it was a perfect hike for us, on that beautiful afternoon. UPDATE: Our dinner was so good last night, we ended back to the other side of the creek, to Louie's for lunch! Our waiter recognized us. We sat closer to the wall, almost the same table as we sat last night, too, with a different waitress, who is just as pleasant and friendly as our waiter. This time hubby ordered a BLT (smoky bacon piled HIGH, and I mean piled HIGH) and Kettle Chips, while I settled for Spring rolls. The spring rolls were not large, they're like half of a normal size. His BLT came on a multi grain bread and just the right amount of mayo. We both agreed, it was the BEST BLT sandwich in the world! (We've traveled the world, we know!) But to top things off they gave him a complimentary, a chocolate lava cake as it was hubby's birthday. Thank you!

I wanted to enjoy Louie's, I really did. I went to college in Ashland and never had the chance to…read moreeat there, so on a trip back after not being in town for almost 12 years my wife and I decided to get Louie's for dinner. Inside the restaurant was pretty with almost a speakeasy vibe, but fairly empty. The bartender and the host at the door were very friendly and the host helped me order exactly what I needed for my dietary restrictions. I'm trying to give them a little grace as we did take this to go, but I was there when the order finished so the food was not waiting for me and my hotel was less than 5 minutes away so the food did not wait long. I also opened up the to go containers in the car to let any steam out so the burger and fries did not get soggy. For a place with such good reviews the food seemed like nothing more than basic diner food. The regular burger was bland, with floppy lettuce and a boring tomato. The black bean vegan burger is exactly why people hate plant based patties. It was overcooked, the edges were literally black, and it was drier than cardboard. I couldn't even finish it. Both the fries and onion rings were decently crispy but were oily like they were cooked in low temp frier oil. Again, I could get better at any diner along the freeway. The staff saved the day really, they were so nice I couldn't give this a 2 star. But, I'm not sure I'll give them another chance with such other great options available on the plaza.
