Edit: it is worth mentioning that the owner responded to my review. I believe this is a very positive thing. I would guess that my experience is not commonplace. It should be repeated from my review that the pizza was very good and the gluten free pizza was the best I have had. The reasons for my dissatisfaction was addressed, indicating this is something they are aware of and working on. I wish them the best and should I risk a return I will not go on a Friday. The staff was cranking out food as fast as they could. I would have simply liked the heads up on the wait. I occasionally get a hankering for some pizza. Having not been to Angelo's in quite some time I thought our family would enjoy an evening out for pizza. When we arrived they were busy with folks there for a birthday party or two and some folks watching the football game. Nice vibe and the staff was quick to take our order... they weren't overly friendly and as we were ordering we realized there was actually no seating. Many open tables had a reserved sign on it. We changed our order to takeout since there was no seating. This is where my frustration started. The person taking my order could have easily indicated the wait would be significant... they did not and when asking about the reserved seating we were told it was reserved and we couldn't use any of the tables (there were roughly a dozen tables with the signs one them). If I had known the wait would have been over an hour I would have ordered a salad, or left and returned, or perhaps even just gone somewhere else. Instead I got to just stand there amidst a sea of unhappy people waiting in the same predicament. The staff was working hard to push out food... but my frustration peaked as I watched the empty tables remain empty, the entire time I was there. When we finally left with our pizza I was glad to be leaving and was confident I will not return. All because of the lousy communication and seating issues. A little attention to communicating wait times and proactively dealing with seating issues would have erased this concern. The pizza was good... the gluten free pizza we ordered was as good as our regular pizza too. But no amount of good food and replace taking good care of the customer. If you are gonna try Angelo's call ahead about seating and be prepared to wait. If I had had a place to sit or at least been told how long I would give the place 4 stars. The utter failure in these important areas gets 2 stars. It should have been better. read more

Wow Patrick. Thanks for the response. To be clear my niece did come in and try to talk with your employees and then with you directly to try and resolve the matter. You were unwilling to review the cameras. I understand that it was her mistake by leaving the purse behind, but sometimes things like that happen. I would hope that when a business finds that their customer left something behind they would keep it safe until the person comes back to retrieve it. I don't think her mother, father, aunt, uncle , or grandmother took her purse (you said someone in our party walked away with it, uh, yeah). And for the record I do post nice reviews on yelp when an establishment is deserving of it. I am not saying you are a thief, but you should really be questioning your employees. Your unwillingness to do so makes me question your ethics and morals. read more

Food is always delicious, been coming here my entire life and it has always been consistent and I've never had any mishaps on my orders. Absolutely great food, customer service is a little hit or miss because there are a couple of employees that always seem to be in a bad mood but as long as the food is good I can handle a slight attitude lol read more

Mediocre. Came here because it's been named the best. I don't know how. We ordered two different pies. They were flavorless. In a blind tasting I probably couldn't differentiate it from Abby's except Abby's has always had flavor. Toppings were generous and it's kid and family friendly but also wasn't very clean at 4 pm--so it's not like it was busy. Edit--dropped a star since after reviewing the menu and the toppings on our pizzas we realize toppings were omitted. So we paid for stuff we didn't get. Positive ... lots of toppings and they got the order right. Negative.... Don't even know where to start. How did they get 3rd?? The crust was like cardboard and both pizzas completely lacked any kind of flavor. At all. I thought maybe I was getting Covid as I literally tasted nothing. These pizzas were like if you took a cardboard pizza box, smothered it in Mayonnaise they call "Ranch" and then toss some cold veggies from the fridge on it. Cheese wasn't even melted. Staying in Medford for a few days, and wanted a quick pizza. Ordered a large pizza over the phone with four toppings (onions, mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni) for pick up at 6:15PM. Pizza was not ready, after I had paid $33 for a single large pizza. the lady working the desk literally kept calling me back using her finger like a teacher does when you're in trouble as a fourth grader. "Do you know what you ordered?" - was her question. (after I paid for the pizza that was ordered). I'm thinking in my own head the better question being "lady, do you know what I ordered?" So they're looking for the order slip for 5 minutes and finally then find the pizza wasn't put in the oven. Anyways, it's now 6:30PM and the manager lets me know that they put black olives on the pizza instead of onions. He acknowledged it was their mistake which I appreciated and said they could remake the pizza. I declined because I didn't want to be there any longer. He threw in some extra ranches So I get home, and start eating this subpar pizza we found multiple hairs in the pizza and decided to stop after consuming about a third of it. Listen, if you're driving through Medford or you live in Medford- do yourself a favor; eat somewhere else. it will probably be a better and safer bet than eating at this place. read more

My friend, Sue, who is just getting over a cold, called placed an order and 1/2 way through she was told to "Slow down and speak English." At first I found this a bit humorous, since English is the only language Sue knows, she's native Oregonian. After the shock wore off I felt enraged---what if Sue was something other than Caucasian? What if English wasn't her first language? What if her nationality was of another decent? How would a comment like that make someone else feel? The $20 cheese pizza tasted of cardboard. OK, so I'm not one of those assholes that just gives a restaurant a bad review because the server was shitty or some guy pissed me off, but I have to say this was genuinely one of the most disappointing pizza experiences of my life. This is only my first week in Medford and I happened to get pizza at another restaurant, can't remember the name right now, and it was literally one of the best pizzas I've ever ever had in my entire life. And I absolutely am one of those assholes that knows his food and judges reasonably when the place is pretty fucking rad. So then just now I order a $30 medium size pizza from this joint, half vegetarian and half some kind of meat vegetable combo, and it literally didn't taste any more dynamic than a piece of cardboard. I wholeheartedly recommend that you never eat here. You would do just as well to chew on a box of Kleenex and save $30. read more

Decent pizza but terrible customer service. After decades of being Angelo's customers and having their pizza delivered to our current house for over 5 years, (and tipping our drivers well) we were told they don't deliver out our way. We asked the manager if this was a new policy or if the worker that took our phone order just didn't know that they have indeed delivered to our house many times. We didn't get anywhere talking with the manager and One of the drivers actually said he's been delivering pizza for 30 years and has never delivered on our road. This just isn't true! Sometimes we get their salads and/or potato wedges and the portions are always good. We usually end up with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Delivery time is reasonable, 30 to 40 minutes. While it isn't my favorite pizza place in town, I do like their pizza, they deliver, and I know exactly what I'm getting! I visited on 1/20/18. I called for take out. When I arrived, the pizza was hot, ready, and waiting. Service was great so far. I paid and left a tip as I was impressed with the service. I even joked with the staff, and wished that the Force be with them. As I was pulling out, an employee came sprinting out and waving her arms at me. She accused me of not paying for the pizza. I will not be returning. I worry if the staff cannot remember who paid for pizza before accusing someone of theft, what other things are they forgetting to check into? Did they remember to check the expiration dates and the temperature logs? Did they remember to change the sanitize solution, or is it the same greasy rag and bucket from the last 5 hours on a busy weekend night wiping down all the tables? How long has that cooked chicken been sitting out? Did they remember to wash the produce? From other reviews I've read, it seems the Angelo's team on Main Street in Medford, Oregon is more interested in accusing their customers of wrong doing than owning an honest mistake they might have made. There are a lot of pizza shops in Medford. This one isn't worth the poor experience. read more

They have not resorted to the cheesy conveyor belt ovens that Abby's and other pizza joints have switched to. They still use the good old convection oven; which results in a great tasting crust, and nothing too greasy. Came here for pizza buffet recently. It was packed. The salad bar at this establishment is A1. It has alot of options to make your salad. The worker there was cleaning and replacing the salad bar like crazy, she was doing a great job. The pizza here is ok. I couldn't really distinguish the sauce of the pizza though.
