I honestly loved my experience here and don't understand all the hate. Food was extremely fresh and delicious! The staff were also so kind. I believe it was the owner and he constantly came up and asked if we need something. The french fries were genuinely perfect crispy on the outside and soft pillowy on the inside. The rose tteoboki was perfect flavor, and creamy as well. The chicken was so crispy and moist on the inside. He warned us that the KO-spicy is really spicy and thank god he warned us. We had heard some decent things about this place but going here on a Friday night, it was virtually empty (not a good sign) We went in anyways and it was really disappointing. The food was genuinely sub par. You know that food is not great when it tastes better when you reheat it at home. We got kimchi fried rice and wings. The fried rice was greasy and undercooked. Took my brothers to a Korean fried chicken place called KO! chicken in flower mound. They had recently undergone new management and added a bunch of items on their menu in addition to Korean fried chicken. I ordered a medium soy garlic wing and my brother ordered a medium lemon pepper wing and medium sweet and spicy boneless. The wings comes with 8 pieces and the boneless come with 6 for medium. You can also order a whole chicken option and they also have flavors such as original crispy, cheezling, and Ko spicy. The wings are a pretty big size and I appreciate that they give you more flats than drums. The soy garlic sauce is pretty decent but I think the best flavor was the sweet and spicy with the boneless. Their boneless pieces are really big! I felt like the lemon pepper flavor could be stronger though. We also tried the truffle fries and at first thought the dipping sauce was the truffle but it was actually some kind of onion sauce. Truffle flavor is present but a little faint. The fries themselves were cooked perfectly though, crispy with a pillowy soft inside. Overall a decent place if you're in the area but there are better options I rather go to read more

We were able to split half the wings to be tossed in soy garlic and the other half KO spicy. I also happened to be craving some fried rice so we ordered the Kim chi fried rice with beef. Lastly, I wanted to try the KO chicken sandwich. I had high expectations but it's definitely more on the basic side. I do not recommend the KO chicken sandwich. It was on the dry side for me. But still alright or ok. However, I really liked the Kim chi fried rice with beef. Delicious flavor. I would also say they did a really good job on the "dipping" sauces. Soy garlic was not too overpowering like some places. The KO spicy was VERY spicy lol. We didn't ask about the spice level because we knew the answer didn't matter. The food and service are great!! First time in, and they have beer and soju. It's a blend of counter device and it's a small cozy place. We ended up seated and ordering from the menu. We started w a Mich Ultra and Miller Lite because you can do a soju bomb (a Korean version of a sake bomb). Damien said a light beer works best for this. We started w fried mandu dumplings. Then ordered pork bulgogi, 8 chicken wings, fresh kimchi and French fries. The dumplings are very good w a sweet soy dipping sauce. The wings, nicely plump, fried perfectly. We asked for them plain and tried all four sauces to dip them in! The wings are juicy and I liked all of the sauces, the KO Spicy made me tear up a little. The Yummy sauce was my 2nd favorite. Hubby liked the Soy Garlic best! When the kimchi and bulgogi hit the table it was glorious as well. We've never had pork bulgogi before and I found the sweetness of the sauce pairs w pork better than beef. I did my best to finish it all but a solitary wing was left. Sad. Fresh kimchi is a game changer! It's not as pungent as a more fermented kimchi is. I loved it with bites of steamed rice! Since my initial visit, I have frequented this restaurant a few more times. Having learned from the experience of my first visit, I have only gotten take out. If I ordered something with a very sticky sauce, I can wash the residue from my hands immediately after dinner. Knock on wood, in these visits, I have had the same friendly employee take my order. I have not yet had the pleasure of dealing with the rude folks others mentioned. On tonight's visit, the young woman surprised me by recalling my name although I had not visited in over a month. There is another advantage to her employment. In between taking orders, she helps with fulfilling them. Could be the reason I had been fortunate my orders never had a problem in the past. When she is not working, is there only one person cooking and taking orders? On my last visit in early January, I had seen a couple new flavors, Whole Grain Mustard and Honey. As I chose Honey on that visit, I came here tonight to order Whole Grain Mustard, but I ended up getting the Sweet & Spicy, rated medium level in their spicy scale. Because the excess sauce always settles on the bottom of the container, I placed the chicken on a plate once I got home. While I enjoyed the flavor, the sauce was not spicy at all. On my first visit, I ordered the Too Spicy which is highest on their spicy scale. I know from experience they can do spicy. It seems several Korean style fried chicken places are popping up in a lot of places and this is one that's in the northern part of Flower Mound. Very nice ladies working this evening and very helpful when I mentioned we were first time visitors. Super quick and easy selection. You can get a whole chicken (sliced into several pieces) or half chicken, with one of two flavors or a mix. They have a house original and garlic soy. Won't dance around this one. Order the garlic soy as the house original really doesn't separate itself from the many other fried chicken places in town. They do offer a few sides including cole slaw and fries. It's definitely Korean style and they have several signs written in Korean. The garlic soy was so well received by my wife and daughter that they poured some of the flavor onto the house original. One of the chicken legs in the house original was undercooked. For chicken that's just not great. But all the others were done very well and had a nice crispy flavor and tender chicken underneath. It gets really messy with your hands so take advantage of the utensils they give you. They do offer fountain drinks but we always drink water and you can help yourself to a smaller styrofoam cup. They did provide with the chicken something that we were told was the "house" special sauce to dip the chicken in. Of course I inquired what the sauce it was called in hopes of gaining a little better idea of what it was but was told they didn't have a name for it. For the most part it tasted like a variation of a cole slaw coating (we didn't try theirs). With tax and tip the bill started at $24 for a whole chicken and then ended around $30.00. Best value? $30 for a whole chicken I'd say is a little high. Maybe if they offered a side with it might be a better bang for your buck...but as it is it's a high price to pay for fried chicken. Bathroom was clean, but there were paper towels left on the floor and they did have a ceiling tile and a metal stand just sitting in there as if it doubled as a storage room. To be fair this place has only been open a month so some of these might be fixed. The people are nice and that goes a long way. I do find something amiss when a clearly Korean place doesn't offer the great Korean side items. I think it's telling on a Saturday at supper time we were the only people in the place but perhaps just a timing thing.
