Went to knockout collision thinking they were the best. That they would take good care of my car and of my needs. I will give them that they did a good job on my car that ran over a coyote. My issue was that they were not up front with me on that the insurance would not pay the whole amount of my damages. They made me believe that I would only pay the deductible of $500 and be done with it. Well that did not happen. They ended up charging an hourly rate of $105.00-$140.00 depending on the work. and my insurance would only cover $81.00-$95.00 and then I was charged the rest of the money which I am now out 1600.00 because they wouldn't work with my insurance and my insurance wouldn't budge on it either. So if you have the money to spend which I don't have, then by all means go to knockout collision. If you are smart go to a place that your insurance recommends. I learned my lesson that's for sure. read more

I have had my classic Fixed Roof Coupe in their shop twice for fiberglass repairs and custom paint work. I have one of 202 corvette's in Nausau Blue Metallic. Only made this model in 1999 and 2000. A total of 425 corvette's were Nausau Blue Metallic. They made the Paint Match and the body work was also amazing. Price was great and Shawna is a sweetheart. took my vehicle in the 11th of April 2022 okayed work after dismantled and approved for the continuance on the 14th. I already had pre approval with a claim number from the insurance company Josh the general manager assured me that all issues with the insurance company would be handled by them and I had no worries and that this job would be taken care quickly and professionally. Wrong I was informed that the job would be completed at the end of the second week after dropping it of and the work for repair had began. Wrong five weeks later and many frustrating battles over the phone with the general manager and the incompetent clerical women that makes all the excuses in the world and blaming the insurance company for all of there failures to satisfy there clients. One lie after another is common practice with this companies administrative staff. the end of the second week I call for my vehicle and they make up an excuse that the parts are back ordered and that they are sorry and cannot give me a completions date. Also turns out that the clerical worker who handles sending off invoices to the insurance company was not doing her part and then stating that the insurance company wasn't responding for payment. After contacting the insurance company I find out the women at Knock out was not getting invoices out and also had raised there cost for the job hundreds of dollars higher than the initial estimate. The entire time they are refusing to release my vehicle back to me until payment is made. Payment could have been made had they been taking care of the insurance as Josh promised would be done by them. they also wait until 4 p.m. on a Friday afternoon to inform me that there's a problem with insurance knowing were up against a weekend and nothing can be done. Constant lies and when I try to reach Kareem the owner to discuss there unprofessional performance and lies I'm told he's out of the country and won't be back for quite sometime. the place is a joke and this place should be shut down. the only training I believe anyone of these employees at the administrative level have is how to say I'm sorry, that's all you here when there making there excuses. Also went in with half a tank of gas and I got the vehicle back with the gauge showing the gas pump symbol indicating I had to get to a gas station plus the battery was dead and the window lock device at the passenger ride door was installed backwards. The truck was completely dismantled (truck bed removed windshield removed door removed all just to repair a small ding the size of a 50 cent piece tis outfit needs to be shut down and the owner needs to be made aware of what a bunch of low life thieves he has working for him and if he does know what he has then he's no different then his staff. They literally lied about the problems that occurred were the insurance companies doing which was a bald faced lie as I was constantly in touch with them when I couldn't get my truck back and I had to handle all the correspondance with the insurance company that which josh promised to handle. About a year ago i had some work done on my 2004 VW R32. I went to this place because he was the brother to the owner of Chico VW. I know that the Dealership has great service and thought i would be recommended to a great place. About 15 months after i had the work done, I started to get some paint bubbles. After a long process I was told they would not own up to there lifetime warranty and that i would have to buy a new bumper ($1200) in order for him to repaint it. I was told there were other factors to why they could not own up but he had no paperwork to show that this defect in my bumper was disclosed to me. The customer service here is above and beyond superb! The office staff is friendly and they handle all of the insurance information and don't bug you about it, which is nice it is one less stress for you. My car had minor damage but I was worried with my 3 stage paint and my upbringing around classic cars that they wouldn't be able to get the job done right. But everything was flawless, there was some scuffs on the quarter panel when I picked it up that weren't there before I brought it in and they were happy to buff it out right then and there no hassle what so ever. To be completely honest, I wish I could give 0 stars. They were the most terrible experience I have ever had. They have no intentions of organizing their work load, they don't follow through with things they say and they are just hands down unprofessional. My car was supposed to take 4-7 weeks tops, my car was there for 11 weeks. For 2 weeks straight they led me on saying it will be ready within 48 hours those types of things, then when I would call, something went terribly wrong or they made some stupid mistake to cause it to be a couple more days, this went on until I finally decided no more nice guy and jumped on them and their work a little bit. I recently brought my car here for collision repair and was very pleased with the results and the customer service. The insurance from the lady that hit me was initially going to pay for all the damages so knockout provided the insurance company with a estimate very quickly and soon repairs were started an my car. After further damage was found knockout sent a supplemental estimate to the insurance company. The insurance at this point refused to pay to have my car fixed due to the cost. Knockout was so patient with me as I delt with the insurance company. I called them almost every day and they never got tired of me. In the end my car was fixed and even though I couldn't pick up my car until a week after it was ready they didn't charge me to keep my car there. Great Job! I recently had my back bumper repaired / replaced here. The service was extremely professional, and they took care of contacting the insurance company and booking a rental car for me while my car was getting fixed. They make getting car repairs done less stressful and do a great job communicating with customers. My car bumper looks amazing now! When I got my car back it was also washed and cleaned inside and out. Very helpful and great customer service! I'm not very knowledgeable in vehicle repair but, I felt like I wasn't being taken advantage of!

I am very understanding when it comes to business and the subsequent timing of events that may cause delays as I am in the Professional Services Industry and, at times, cannot comply to deadlines I promise my clients. However, I feel compelled to warn others looking to choose an auto body shop in Chico for their next repair as you may have to wait 5 weeks to retrieve your vehicle from a small front bumper repair job. I was told my car would take two weeks to finish at the beginning of the process. Now, as I sit here, Shawna, the front desk receptionis, has told me one more weeks for a grand total of 5 weeks at the shop. I would not have mind if expectations were not built at the beginning of the process as to the duration of my car's repairs. In a market such as Chico's, there are 6 equal substitutes to choose from who would've finished my car by now. My mom, a frequent customer of Knockout will no longer support them and their endeavors after this fiasco as no car should take 5 weeks to complete, even if major damage was done, when the promise was two weeks. There is no getting around the front desk receptionist to discuss this with any management and I have been given the go-around. I expect nothing less at this point to call on Friday, and she tell me that it might be done the following Friday. If a service firm/business cannot follow through on expectations simply because they promised too many people before you the same thing they promised you, I will advise any of my friends and local business leaders to avoid this business at all cost. My daughter is a student at Chico State and her truck got hit in her apartment parking lot. There were no dents, just paint and scratches. Having a few friends in Chico, I called up there and asked them each for a recommendation. Both immediately said Knockout Collision. I called in and spoke to Kareem and he said to have my daughter call in for an appointment and they would see if they could buff it out at no charge. If not, he would give me an estimate. Kareem's team not only was able to get the scratches out, but they got other ones out as well and washed and vacuumed out the truck. Having to pay for the other guys damage and being 500 miles away I was extremely nervous we'd get taken advantage of. After speaking directly with the owner Kareem it was just the opposite. Possibly the best customer service I've had anywhere! I brought my 1973 BMW Bavaria to Knockout when a piece of the trim fell off. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to fix my baby because she is so old, but they were able to find the super hard-to-come-by parts and make her look brand new! They kept me posted during the process of finding the parts and were super friendly and helpful. They even send a thank you card to their customers and guarantee the work that they do! Had some repairs done on my bumper which were fine but when I got my car back the door to one of my auxiliary boxes inside the car was broken. They had cleaned the interior of the car before giving it back to me. When I went back to show them what had happened they looked at it and said they would talk it over, claiming they didn't know how it could have happened since they only vacuumed the interior. It was clear the dash had been wiped down as well as the interior of the auxiliary boxes, not to mention it was't broken before I took the car in to them! I get a call 4 hrs later saying the damage was in the original paperwork (which I never got) and it would cost me $250 for the part to fix it. Needless to say they will NEVER get my business again and I will pass on the word to EVERYONE I know. read more

The staff was friendly and they replaced our bumper as requested, HOWEVER we were unimpressed with the scratch repairs we had requested; the ones they did do only had one thin layer of paint, and they didn't even do them all. We also had an issue with our brakes as we were leaving, which were fine when we dropped the car off-scary! This job that we paid $2,500.00 for was probably only worth $1,800.00. I would not recommend this company and will not be returning in the future because: they tried to return our car to us before they had finished repairing it, they were not as thorough as we had hoped with the look, and they didn't even check that the car was running properly before giving us back the keys. read more

If you are the type of person who likes thurough estimates, friendly polite staff, obcessive compulsive attention to detail, waiting over an hour, and are made of money, this place is for you. However, if like the rest of us you don't have thousands of dollars in disposable income, seek another body shop. We got 4 different estimates for miner dents and paint scratches, and they gave us a 2,800 estimate. Three other places gave us estimates half that amount. A little excessive. the staff was super nice while we waited an hour for them to dream up a page long list of things to 'fix' on our car. They seem dedicated to trying to do a good job, and they do give you, in writing, a breakdown of all the damages, labor, and cost of parts, and beg you to ask them any questions or advice. But the cost just doesn't jive. Being nice doesn't compesate for the price. Do your research before writing them a check. read more
