I ordered a single pastry and sat in the drive through line for 20 minutes. After I got to the window they took my payment and I waited for another 5 minutes while the guy was just standing in the window. He finally went to go get my pastry then came back to tell me they were out of it. I asked for a refund on the card I just used to pay and he said he couldn't do that and could only give me cash? I am beyond confused and disappointed with the service at this location. I should have been told when ordering and especially before payment that they did not have what I requested. read more

Food is great but unless you have 40minutes to sit in the drive through I would recommend going elsewhere for a very high priced sandwich l. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

NOT GOOD!!!! Stopped in the restaurant for lunch today. Had to wait 25+ minutes for our food even though the drive through was clearly getting their food in a timely manner! When I did get my food, the soup was lukewarm and my sandwich (ordered to be hot) was prepared to be a cold sandwich instead. Not sure if all the Kneaders locations operate like this but I'm not wasting my time going there anymore when there are dozens of better lunch places. read more

Waiting for 45 mins for a soup, hot chocolate and sandwich and the cashier will tell you to wait for another 10 more minutes or a refund. What kind of service is that? If you want to be hungry waiting for food then this a place to go to...Ridiculous service. Busy hour in a day with lots of people waiting and only 2-3 people preparing. Who run a business like that? read more

I placed an incorrect order! I called the Santan location to get my order canceled and they were very nice on the phone. They help me very quickly and took their time on the phone and didn't make me feel rushed or like I did anything wrong :) I've come to this Kneaders quite often and I always enjoy getting their French toast. Their service is great! I know I can count on quality and great help from the crew working! This is a great place to try!!! Add it to your list! read more

So sad to say it's the last time I eat at Kneaders. Everything used to be so good and well priced! Today I had an apple cranberry turkey salad that was so salty. Salads should not be salty. I thought it might be the sunflower seeds but not so. $14.00 salty salad - no thank you. read more

We went here for dinner the other night and each got a combo sandwich and soup to go with drinks. My husband went to pick it up and the drinks were not with our order. They were able to get this and my husband took the order home. When we took our food out we just had sandwiches. The food was decent, but it's super annoying when part of BOTH meals is missing something, not just condiments, but full parts of a meal. We decided to try them again today for to go breakfast. Again, husband gets home and BOTH of us are missing parts of our meal. WTF guys?! Like to charge for the items, but don't like to actually give them to the customers? I get mistakes happen, but we are t just missing small items or forgetting to add or remove a condiment. Won't be back ‍ read more

After placing an order I pull up to the drive thru window, (mind you I had already been in line waiting for over 15min) I am told there card reader is broken and they are not accepting Apple Pay at the moment. Annoyed because she didn't give me any other option, there was no sign by the drive thru or anything. Will no longer be coming back and am aggravated I spent my whole lunch waiting for absolutely nothing. read more

There are better options for sandwiches and soup. Oh wait, they don't really have soup even though they advertise. Of all the "options" they only had vegetable and clam chowder. The clam chowder looked like chunky queso, was cold, and smelled bad. Very worrisome. The sad watch was also pretty basic. Take your money elsewhere for better food and options. Also, they don't have a separate line for phone orders. Even though you pay when placing the order, you still stand in line to pick up. Outdated pick up for phone orders which is not good for people who work and have a limited amount of time for lunch. read more

We had a great dinner at Kneaders today, The turkey bacon avocado sandwich is really good! My wife had a soup, I can't remember what it was called but it was very good too. And the kid I loved the cookie! Fresh, clean, good service, and reasonably priced. Back again, had the turkey bacon avocado again, still 5 star food and service!!! read more

Went here with some friends and got the unlimited French toast. Was told we could NOT have a single additional serving of French toast because they were "all out". Kind of funny because we saw them serve about 20 plates of French toast to other guests after us. This place is a total scam and will never go to Kneaders again!!!! read more

This is my third visit and second time my sandwich hasn't been right. First: Waited at least 15 minutes in the drive thru Second: my sandwich wasn't hot. Like at all.. the shredded cheese isn't even melted... Third: Bread was good but not really a great choice for panini. Fourth: sandwich was really dry. Sat at the mic to order for 10 minutes. No one acknowledged me. I couldn't reverse out of line as there was a line building up behind me. So I drove forward. Only to be caught in a line there as well. The line was moving so slow, I was literally trapped in the line for 20 minutes. And guess what? I didn't get any food, because my order was never taken. Instead I got to sit behind other cars waiting for them to get their orders. Drove past the window as I was already so furious at the poor, or I should say, complete absence of service. Didn't have time to stop and wait once my car was free of the blockade anyway as I am already running late for work now. Thanks for that. Now I'll be headed into work late and hungry. read more

Now, let me preface this by saying that my favorite restaurants are the ones that find ways to make healthy foods taste amazing. That being said, there wasn't much that was healthy about this place. Being vegetarian, I ordered the only meatless panini, a Triple Double Melt--which was a ginormous double layer grilled cheese sandwich with 3 layers of French Country Bread and 2 layers of cheese, all grilled in butter (I had them add tomatoes so I'd have some semblance of greenery). The best part about it was definitely the bread...but it wasn't amazing enough in my opinion to justify all the empty calories and fat. I also ordered the one vegetarian soup option--which was an artichoke portobello soup. The soup literally looked and tasted like Thanksgiving gravy; it was thick, gray, and much too creamy with like 3 random chunks of vegetables. If I had some mashed potatoes, it probably would've been awesome on top...but just not as a soup! :/ They DO have a rather awesome dessert case filled with all sorts of cakes, cookies, caramel apples, etc. Since Valentine's Day was approaching, I thought I'd be festive and order a heart-shaped sugar cookie. Unfortunately, the sugar cookie (while cute) was rather mediocre. There were lots of other treats that looked yummy though. In summary, if you're looking to indulge, you'd probably love it here. Great bread (hence the name Kneader's), lots of beautiful desserts, cute little tchotchkes for sale, and nice staff. But as someone who tries to eat semi-healthy foods, I felt like my arteries were crying for help when I left. Don't think I'll be back here for any food but perhaps to buy a cute pastry for a special occasion. read more

Wow, this place was packed at noon! There was a line almost out the door when I entered. I browsed through the menu while I waited. Having eaten at a Kneader's Bakery when I visited the SLC area, I was interested in trying out the sandwiches and baked goods here to see if the AZ location was as good as my previous experience. I decided on the turkey half sandwich ($4.39) on hazelnut 12 grain, a mint chocolate chip brownie, and a soda. The half sandwich was very filling, with nicely seasoned roast turkey, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, with mayo. The bread was soft, with large crunchy pieces of hazelnut in it. The mint chocolate brownie was delicious. It was thick, fudgey, with a light whipped-cream mint frosting. Sodas are Coke-based, and there is a self serve fountain. Definitely a tasty place for a sandwich or baked sweet! read more

Ordered an Americano with two shots of espresso. The young lady working the counter could never figure out how the espresso machine worked. She pushed every button while the manager watched from the kitchen and never offered any help. Another young lady who was working the drive-up window, walked over to the machine, removed the cup intended for me, placed another cup in its place and made two shots of espresso, then gave it to one of the kitchen staff that was taking a break. WTF? Are you kidding? The first young lady just threw her hands up in the air and went back to taking orders from the long line that had developed behind me. The manager just watched me walk out without my coffee or offering a refund. read more

Went here as a family for dinner. Looked really nice on the inside. The line wasn't super long but it took awhile to get our order in. I would suggest more than 1 person on the cash register. Also every time we asked for something she would go and check to see if they had it. We got our food pretty quick after. The selection wasn't that great food wise, but awesome pastry wise. I give it a 2 for food and time it took and a 4 for dessert. Pretty expensive for what you get. read more

Try the french toast. It's amazing. The pieces are probably 2 inches thick and the size of salad plates. I could barely finish one piece. If you can finish it, I'll be incredibly impressed. 4 stars because of price, but otherwise, very nice little place! read more

I dont know why this place is busy. I have tried a few different locations hoping for the best but they are all terrible. Soda is flat, usually out of several things on the menu, food is not good. Ok so I love the salads and sammies at Kneader's but this location needs to get themselves together at the drive thru. They are the absolute slowest drive thru I have ever been to and I come here pretty frequently. First time I thought it was an off night when it took 25 min in the line and my order was screwed up. Awful catering disaster. I ordered boxed lunches which is not inexpensive for 25. I selected three different sandwiches to give my group an option. Lunch was delivered on time but none of the boxes were marked. Upon opening each box, 2/3 were ham and 1/3 turkey. The third kind of sandwich was missing and they took it upon themselves to just bring more ham. The first box open had a black hair wrapped in the sandwich. The boxes contained a burnt cookie that most would not eat. I ordered diet coke and a 12 pack not chilled was brought in. Once I realized the mess of this, I immediately called back and placed on hold for over 8 minutes. Kneaders refused to address the issue or deliver what I ordered. I have had too many bad experiences with this Kneader's. Do not use!!!!! Poor customer service....!!!!! read more

Hi, my name in Karina and I got poisoned with soup in this place. Before this happened, my daughter and I used to go there for soup after school. It was our favorite place. Never again... I understand that there are not enough workers, cafes save money on everything. But not at the cost of the buyer's health! I was sick for 2 days: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever and terrible weakness. I had to miss work for 2 days. Not acceptable read more

I haven't lived in the area very long and was itching to explore everything around me. This Kneader's is in the same lot as a McDonald's where my kids normally frequent, and while I was in line at McD, I'm also eyeballing Kneader's. A friend had brought over cinnamon rolls once and they were exactly the kind of cinnamon rolls I prefer. (Safeway also has similar rolls, except you can't taste the love in them - you feel me?) Fast forward way too much time after strategically stalking their online menu; I made my move. The french toast has been my go-to. It's a lot though - so make sure you are willing to completely forgo lunch and your carb counts for the rest of the day because I'm telling you it's worth it. I must have ordered it 5 times by now and it's consistent every single time. And then today - my best friend on the speaker asks me if I want a free loaf of sour dough because they made too much. Shut. Up. Um, yes - I totally want a free loaf of sour dough bread. I also got the sausage egg cheese croissant; also recommended although smaller than I expected - still tasty. Sour dough made some very tasty grilled cheese sandwiches that same evening. I guess I've been lucky - have yet to have a bad experience here. read more

Horrible customer service. Waited for over 40 minutes just to get a couple of soups to go..I should have just went through the drive thru instead..it seems that time management and organization is quite lacking in this one. They should be able to put the same importance with people ordering inside and the drive thru..it's ridiculous how people in the drive thru got their orders within 15 minutes but the people inside have to wait for over 30 minutes. I would have given a Zero if that was an option. Definitely NOT going back to this one. read more

This location was close by and my hardworkin' hubby was stuck at his computer and I tried the drive through a couple times when he couldn't stop to munch. The first was a breakfast croissant with egg, sausage, and cheese. It was huge and really looked handmade, as compared to the kind of croissants you find at other places. The second visit I ordered the Roast Beef Cafe Sandwich and he wasn't disappointed with that one either. ;) I used the drive through both times and found it was quick and easy to order from. (My wait was probably less than 5-6 minutes and I wasn't first in line either time) Since I'd never experienced Kneaders before, it was great to be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Its menu kind of reminds me of another popular chain, but the two sandwiches were better than theirs... I'd definitely not hesitate to visit this location again, from the other reviews, sounds like the french toast is pretty good! read more

This was one of the worst "customer service" experiences of my life. There was in fact no "customer service at all. I was at the store on Baseline in Gilbert AZ on March 29, 2024. It was my birthday, I was there to eat brunch with my family. We walked into the store, and there was no one at the front counter. We stood there for about 5 min before being acknowledged. We ordered, 3 French Toast plates, two smoothies, a croissant breakfast sandwich, and a Greek Omelet. We waited, and waited, and waited. I continued to see car after car go through the drive thru, I watched as multiple customers after me received their food, and I kept wondering what the problem was. Finally about 30 minutes later, we had the three French Toast ordered finally delivered along with the croissant sandwich and smoothies. The worker, said, "sorry we will have another French Toast plate out and your omelet soon." Again, waited, waited, waited. Finally after another 15 minute wait, all the while watching 5-7 more vehicles come through the drive thru. all ordering and getting their orders, I asked my wife to check on what the problem was. Again, we were told "sorry it's taking so long" and again we waited, waited, and waited. In total we did not get our complete order out to our table for 45-50 minutes. It was terrible. And then I ate the omelet. It was BY FAR the worst breakfast omelet I've ever had. Terrible. I will not go back, and I will make it a point to tell everyone I know, both in person and on social media about this horrific experience, what a terrible way to start my birthday with my family. I expected a much different, much better experience, and yet this was a COMPLETE LET DOWN and I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. Even after complaining, nothing was done to address the problem, no apology, no explanation, no refund, and ABSOLUTELY NO 'CUSTOMER SERVICE" here. Totally disappointing, and a complete disaster. read more

I'm torn. Good coffee, very good brownies and cookie bars. Terribly disorganized at point-of-sale, much more running around trying to find things than one would expect. Also, that glorious looking cinnamon-chunk-bread loaf on display? absolutely no cinnamon, sugar, icing, or anything inside the loaf. It's a loaf of challah, wrapped in plastic, with icing and cinnamon between... so when you unwrap it all the good stuff sticks to the plastic and the handle of your knife. That really pissed me off. read more

We have been here at lunch, and things are great. Came again for breakfast, after our last disastrous breakfast a few years ago. Today was just as bad. Ordered breakfast sandwiches, which were swimming in grease so we used napkins to soak it up. Not sure how this happens as the coffee is in urns, but it was hotter than blazes, and tasteless to boot. Finishing touch - two bites left of sandwich and two hairs in it. read more

I'm normally not the kind of person who will write a review. I took a chance to order online for the Gilbert location. I normally go to the Signal Butte location. Knowing I wasn't feeling well and wanting a some chicken noodle soup I placed my order online. The online stated my order would be ready within 10 minutes from when I placed order. Upon arrival I text the number on the sign for curbside pickup. It asked for my car make an model then stated my order would be out shortly. 15 minutes later and still no order I called the location to mention I was outside for my curbside order. The gal who answered stated she would let curbside know and hung up. I'm sitting there watching cars go through drive through and people walking in and out all the while waiting for my food. Now it's 20 minutes since I pulled up and text the curbside number and still no food. So I call the store again only this time my call goes to another person who states she gets the calls that the store is unable to answer. I state I've been waiting here in curbside for my food all the while watching cars go through the drive through. She puts me on hold to look for my order. Once she finally got back on the phone says I can go through the drive through and my order will be there. Frustrated that I sat for over 20 minutes waiting for my food only to wait in the drive through for my food. I get to the window and the gal hands me my food and I ask for a manager, she states she is a manager. I stated that I ordered my food online for faster service only to wait over 20 minutes to be told to go through drive through. Usually any other food service place would try to offer me some sort of make it right apology by offering me a free beverage or something, but all I got was a shrug of the manager's shoulders and her explanation that normally they get a text when curbside is out there but that she has not been added to the system. Wow, that's all...I even added a tip on my order and for what? I get it Kneader's I'm just one in so many customers you get and with the prices for items you can afford to loose me as a customer, but when I get better service from an actual fast food joint than this location I'm appalled. I guess that's my bad for thinking this place would be a bit classier than what I experienced. Would I ever order here again? Not likely. I'd be willing to update my review if Kneaders feels compelled to reach out and offer an actual sincere apology. read more

So frustrating - went through the drive thru, got a salad and two smoothies, got home and no dressing. Now I'll eat a lot of things, but a salad with no dressing? No way! So I was thinking... how hard is it? Someone orders a salad, you give them dressing - seems like a no-brained. That was my dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow out the window. Don't know why I'm giving them 3 stars, though. Well maybe because they usually get it right even if it takes a looooong time. I think I'll skip this place for awhile. Or check my bag before I drive off. read more
