It was a rough night. It was our second trip in. The first time was a couple weeks ago but there was absolutely no service so we walked out but as locals, we wanted to try again to support. So we stood there tonight for around 3-5 mins with no one at the front or bar. Finally got a table away from the front door, but it still smelled like a high school boys locker room. (According to the husband, but since I don't hang out in boys locker rooms I had another description) our server was sweet but overwhelmed. As a weekend after Valentine's Day, I was surprised that there was one person with clearly 30+ patrons at 3pm. She was rocking it but having a hard time keeping up. We ordered a beer, after the paper menus and online menu code didn't work so we had to quiz our poor waitress and some Bacon Duck fries. The beers arrived and so did the fries .. but no forks to eat or napkins. We started tackling the fries by hand. Totally worth it. They aren't lying. These suckers are amazing. Tons of toppings. Flavors are great. Half way through got forks and napkins. The fries are still 10/10. After our apps, we finally got to order our meals. Got tacos and a smash burger. No knife, even though we mentioned we'd be sharing. The tacos were yummy but could have used a different texture. Something crunchy, like cabbage maybe? Taste was good but one note. Never got a knife to cut the burger but the bottom bun was so wet it was broken when we got it and was easy to cut with a fork. Didn't taste bad but felt it was OK. Didn't get offered new beers until we had everything packed up and we were ready to go but it was obviously because there was not enough servers. Food is very good, by far the best aspect. However, the atmosphere is very loud and juvenile. I'm sure that's fine on a Friday when the place is filled with college kids but feels out of place on a slow Wednesday evening. This is a shame as I believe this restaurant could stand on the quality of their food within resorting to chasing a "hip" vibe. Another plus is the extensive tap list with a couple real gems. Kluddes can be described as a bar that happens to serve food. The majority of the place looks like it's designed for drinking, with some tables on the side for diners. For a Saturday night, it felt pretty quiet and we were able to snag a seat immediately. Things I ordered: 1. Calamari - It had a subtle lemon flavor to it, but not much else. It was lightly breaded and had good texture? But it was a little too bland, and I probably wouldn't order this again. Served with a side that reminded me of sour cream and was probably the only thing that flavored the calamari. 2. Kluddes Burger - looks like the prices have jumped because I paid $14 for this burger. You had your choice of chips or spicy coleslaw or you could pay extra for the other options. I tried the spicy coleslaw. The burger was fine, but not $14 worth. It had a nice fried egg on it, which I loved. There were a few soggy fries thrown into the burger as well. The burger lacked more freshness to it and just felt mostly greasy to me. I think it needed more fresh lettuce and some tomatoes. The creamy coleslaw didn't help offset that either. It was altogether kind of disappointing for the price I paid. Get their Drunken Goat Burger with Garlic Parmesan fries and you will not regret a thing. One of the best burgers I've had ever, it will make you melt, dissociate from your body just so you can come back to heaven, and question your sexuality all at once. Thursday's are where it's at here. Come for their steal the glass at 6 and grab some food while you're here. I really like their Mexicali sliders (2 for $4 during their happy hours) and their sticky wings were good, but not amazing. The bartenders are really nice and their rotating tap is bound to have something you like. Happy Hour is M-F 3-6 and S-Th 10-midnight. Had to walk to the bar to get our bill and to get our own water. The food is actually pretty good. The duck fat fries are amazing. There are no positive comments to make about this establishment. I have never felt so mistreated, belittled, and racially profiled/discriminated in my life. To begin with, it took 10-15 min from the moment my girlfriend & I sat down at a table that had yet to even be cleaned to realize nobody was going to acknowledge us whatsoever, & after being ignored multiple times by multiple employees passing us by, we decided that enough was enough. Came by here around 8PM on Thursday for their "Steal the Glass" night. It is on every Thursday, and for $8, you get to drink the featured draft and keep the glass. It was such a neat idea, and I was so excited about it, especially because the beer they featured was the Hell or High Watermelon from 21st Amendement Brewery - my absolute favorite. Sad to say, they already ran out of the beer at 8PM. I was disappointed, but the beer list was extensive so I quickly chose another beer. However, the next beer I wanted was also out. Finally, I settled on a THIRD beer, but it turned out to be a little lukewarm and not that great. I also tried their Carne Asada Fries ($8.99). That one was good - I really liked the sauces on the fries. It was a perfect beer-food. Kluddes seems to specialize in drinks and bar foods. Excellent food excellent service. I'm on a low-carb diet and they will lettuce wrap any of their tacos or hamburgers for you. Even the ice tea was phenomenal. I had bacon duck tacos lettuce wrapped and I highly recommend them. We ordered the chicharron appetizer and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Both amazing! A friend of mine says she goes to Kluddes only to drink. After eating there last night, I can see why. Though the house salad was fresh, with an interesting and tasty dressing, and the chips were excellent and well-seasoned, the sliders and carne asada tacos were mediocre and the garlic parmesan fries were awful. (Mostly because of the parmesan, which created a chalky, grainy paste. Reminded me in quality and texture of the green can of Kraft parmesan my mom used to put on the table.) Service was solid, but problems with beer selection--either out or tap issues. I would expect more of a gastro pub. So, perhaps I'll go back to drink and if I'm hungry enough I'll give the menu another shot. read more

Klüddes added a full bar a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, this seemed to have caused the demise of a number of menu items including their selection of gourmet hot dogs and chili. (See attached photo of the new abbreviated menu.) The Good: The bar drinks--Cosmopolitans and Martinis--were cold and refreshing. Although, one order was a Martini with a twist. It came with a twist AND two olives. She doesn't like olives in her martinis. That's why she orders "with a twist". The Kennebec fries were well done--warm and crispy. Three different staff checked on the table. All were friendly and attentive. The OK: The Klüdde Burger was a little on the dry side--both the meat and the sparsity of condiments on the burger. The bun disintegrated before finishing the burger. The Hot Wings had good flavor and a righteously sticky sauce, but where are the celery sticks and blue cheese or Ranch dressing? The Not So Good: Our party of 6 had a hard time carrying on a conversation due to the extremely LOUD music. It would be nice to have a quieter zone perhaps on the patio. We had a relatively new waiter, but that doesn't explain the 20 minutes that elapsed from the delivery of the first order to that of the last. That belongs to the kitchen. The ambience is trendy and nice. But there's not much on the menu to choose from that sounds great. I've been there a couple of times. This time we ordered beef tacos and their sliders to share. The beef tacos were better than the chicken I had last time. I think we waited for 40min for our food! We all were starving because we hadn't had anything in our stomach for 6-8hours. We were so hungry that we were getting frustrated because every dish that came out that looks like ours, weren't. The services was really bad! WOW....seriously, WOW! I do t even know where to start, so from the beginning. Me, Raphael, and my wife April stop in on a whim. Killing time before a movie...2hrs later and we LITERALLY changed movie times to stay longer! Our server Marissa was absolutely, positively beautiful & incredible. Personality and and incredible attention to detail and "serving us." Input it in quotes because while that's what did most positively did, it felt like hanging out at a friends house more then her working. Beyond perfect and seriously, if the food and selection wasn't incredible food(it was), if the didn't have a great selection of beer on tap & bottle (they did), her and herself alone, would be enough to go back. I've had many burgers in my 39 years on earth, I must say that The Kludde Burger ranks pretty high. It's juicy, not over cooked, lots of flavor. Can't say it taste like any other burger I've ate. Don't bother trying to buy a gift card or the employees knowing where to locate correct information, at least at the Redlands location. I was advised by Redlands restaurant employees they did not carry gift cards in the restaurant anymore and I could "try" online. This is after the employee had to ask two others for information about gift cards. I was able to purchase a gift card on the Yucaipa restaurant location link, and now I am guessing they're not owned by the same individual since you're only able to use that gift card purchased at the Yucaipa site, NOT at the redlands location for which I was actually looking to purchase a gift card for in the first place. What is this delicious thing called Bacon Jam? It's such a tasty topping! I've had the duck jalapeño sausage and wild boar cheddar sausage topped with this sweet, creamy, slow cooked, caramelized concoction of bacon and onions. I went home and googled how to make bacon jam and I found a great crock pot recipe for it so it makes it even easier for me to recreate this recipe at home whenever my little heart desires. Most likely though I will continue to get my bacon jam fix here. The small shop is open till 2 am on most nights. They are in the preliminary stage of being a full blown beer hall. As of right now they mainly offer their tasty sausage creations as to-go orders as there are is no seating at the establishment. There is a bit of a wait for them to cook your sausage so many patrons think ahead and call in. Lots of exotic sausages to try. Looks like their menu is always evolving as they work on adding more offerings. A great gourmet addition to Redlands and the Inland Empire. read more

So the group wanted to try something new and local in town and this placed seems like a great idea. So we headed downtown, parked and walked over to the store front. First of all, there are currently no table or chairs at the moment, you are forced to take your dog to go. There wasn't even one of those standing tables to quickly eat and leave. So we were forced to take our dogs to a near by bench. Second of all, the menu has changed a bit more than what someone posted in the pictures. It seems that there are a few more exotic dogs and they took the option of fries off the menu. Okay now lets get down to the food. As a group of four, we all ordered something different so we could try them all. We ordered the hot link, the Kobe beef dog, bacon duck jalapeño dog, and chili cheese dog. Now upon ordering, you get the option of potatoe salad, coleslaw or kettle chips. The kettle chips were just bags of sun chips and what not. Each of the dog was pretty tasty but I regretted picking two of the free toppings, because it soon became too much on top of the dog. The potato salad lacked flavor and tasted a bit raw. It also had bacon bits in, but it lacked flavor as well. The coleslaw on the other hand had great flavor but it wasn't something I felt like finishing. Don't be scared by its deep purple color, and give it a try. Now last but not least, the bun. I understand the concept of the bun, as it is suppose to soak up everything but maybe it soaked up too much? The bread instantly fell apart throughout the meal. Now the bread itself was delicious. I even took parts of my toppings with bites of the hot dog, combined with the bread. It was pretty good, but I hate it when my meal breaks apart in my hands. It just changed the whole experience of eating. At the end of the meal we were still hungry and had to throw away most of the mush. I think they rushed to open the place just to give it a few test trials before the actually opening of the full place because its suppose to be a bier hall in fall of 2013. Quality of food is awful. We came biweekly before the pandemic and now it's just horrid. The drinks are very bad. The Yardbird sandwich isn't close to the same. The wings are basic and not good, and don't even come with carrots and celery. The beer list is so bad it made me order that awful mixed drink (what can I say it had been a day and I was thirsty). QR code didn't even work for the beer list so an extensive old one came up and then i was told their tap list was very limited. Hey, this is a soft opening for the newest place in Redlands. They had great sausages Knackwurst and Merguez were tasty and fresh toppings great. They had some great Belgian beers and many others. We are in training for a trip so we did Belgian. Fries were tasty but not awesome. Service was a little scattered but as expected for a soft opening. All the staff and owner/manager reps were really friendly and working hard to get into the groove. We appreciated the bar and communal seating and will be back. SMH - This is my second visit where the beer was not ice cold. It's 85 degrees outside at 6pm! I just want to enjoy a really cold beer with the awesome food. I probably will not be back until they fill the vacant chef position. The order was wrong, and the coleslaw tasted like it was sitting out. Otherwise, the rest of the food was really good.
