Update! Was contacted by the owner after my previous review. She scheduled an appointment for me to go back and have my nails fixed. The gentleman, who sits at the first nail area with the tattoos, helped me. He was super nice and funny. He did my nails perfect. I am so happy! I forgot his name but I will definitely be going back to him in the future. He took his time and had me check out the nails before putting them in the dryer. Overall I am very happy! Thank you guys for fixing my nails for me!!! Went here on Friday during lunch to get a pedi and gel manicure all French tip. The girl who did my toes did a great job. She took her time and even checked to make sure I liked how thick the line was etc. I would love to give more stars because of her but I can't. The reason I'm writing this review is actually for the skinny guy who did my gel manicure. It started off good and normal but he was slow to do the nails and the French tip on my hands look wavy and uneven. I even asked him to go further down on the sides on a couple of my fingers and he didn't. I also asked him to clean up some of the smudged white tip that came off on my nails and he cleaned one. I really wanted to love this place because it's close to home and has good reviews, but my last experience left me not wanting to return. I paid extra for the deluxe pedicure, and my feet were scrubbed painfully raw. The cuticles on two of my toes were clipped so badly they bled and scabbed. Finally, every pedicure I have ever had has lasted a minimum of three weeks. Two days after I went, three of the nails had the polish peel completely off. It is now a week later and most of my toes have the polish peeled off, and I notice how badly shaped the nails were. I'm not sure of the name of who I saw, just that it was a man. I have been on the hunt for a local nail salon that consistently does a good job for mani/pedi. I believe I have finally found it! I had SNS from another salon when I went it. The previous nail tech had put way too much powder so they were thick and took forever to take off. It was suggested that I try the powder dip with gel on top. I loved the idea and went for it. They did not charge me to remove the previous SNS powder like nearly ever other salon does. Bonus points from me! I splurged with some extras on my pedicure since my manicure was taking extra time. Everything was very clean. The staff was super friendly and chatted with me while they did my nails. This also doesn't happen many other places. It was a few days before the 4th so I went with a cute patriotic theme. They also did not charge me an arm and leg for SNS. it was reasonably priced at $30. Fast forward to today. KC Nails is my second home that I've been going to twice a month for 15 years. They are all so wonderful and friendly, I love this salon! John is my go to for nails. Lately, I'm absolutely thrilled with Dip Powder! You soak the nails off to start, the nail beds are prepped, then the dipping begins. There are many colors to choose from, not as many as gel however, it's more than worth it for how long it last. With gel on my natural nail, I couldn't go very long before one would break. With Dip Powder, John has to actually shorten my nails so that I can type! The owner Lynn, tattooed my eyeliner and eyebrows a few years ago and more recently I had her micro blade my eyebrows and touch up my eyeliner. While it's not pain free it's so worth the time it saves in the morning getting ready for work. I've also had her wax my eyebrows. Lan gives the most amazing facials! The price is so reasonable that I'm able to get them more frequently. I come in with a dry, gritty face and leave with it hydrated and baby smooth. The room is warm, lighting is subdued and soft relaxing music is playing. My pedicures have been done by just about everyone at the salon. While the massage is different depending on the technician, the steps are consistent. If you are looking for a dependable, consistent, warm and friendly, second home salon, this is the place for you. Walked in here without an appointment. Saw many positive reviews for Lynn for manicure, and wanted to try to get her to do my nails. I guess she wasn't there because they sent me up with Linda, and I was a little nervous because I can get pretty picky with my nails. Linda did an amazing job, listened to all my concerns, and did my nails exactly how I like it. I also got a pedicure (with Mindy?) the polish was a little thick, and after I left, it was smudged, so I had to come right back to ask them to fix it. While I was there, the first time, Lynn stopped by the shop, I learned that she's the manager. She ended up fixing my pedicure polish for me. Everyone here is super sweet. I'm not from the area and usually have my own nail ladies that I religiously patron, but since I've been down in this area more, I'm trying to find a new place to get my mani pedi. I found this salon about a year ago and I am so happy that I did! I normally come in for a gel manicure and pedicure and I've had many different technicians help me. Every single one has been a perfectionist with their work. They double check with you to make sure you like the shape of your nails and the color and are quick to fix something if you aren't happy with it. Prices are very fair for the great work that they produce. I've never made an appointment and they've always accommodated me, but be warned they are a busy shop. More recently I've been branching out from my solid gel color to do some different designs. Every picture I've shown them they have either tried to replicate exactly or been honest with me and told me that it's not a color/product they carry. I would much rather my salon be honest with me than try to replicate something that they can't do just to get my money. I chipped my most recent gel manicure after a day (completely my fault) and needed to get it fixed. I went in today, on Christmas Eve, and was immediately helped. They fixed my nail and re-did the design at no cost! I am so blown away by their professionalism and how nice the staff always is. I will be coming back for a long time! read more

The first time was on Chinese New Year, (which is a holiday they celebrate) and i arrived about 30 minutes before closing. They did a full set and didn't rush threw it, they even stayed after closing to make sure I got exactly what i wanted. They truely care about the customer here! Called in after finding on yelp. Was told I could come in and they would be able to take me for a gel mani/pedi. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if I had called for the gel mani/pedi. I said yes, and one of the ladies told me the gel colors were in front of me she put them out for me. Tina & Lily were at the pedi chair waiting for me. Tina - did my pedicure. I didn't decide which package I was getting until she was already doing my pedicure, and because of how patient she was with me and nice I went with the biggest mani and pedi package. She really took her time and asked me how things were during the pedicure to make sure I was enjoying it. Lily - I explained how I have been having a time transitioning from pink and white nails back to gel polish only for my natural nails. She took her time to make sure I was happy with the shape and how thick the polish was. She also asked me during the manicure how things were and to make sure i was okay. Just moved to the area and was looking for a staple pedicure salon that would be my 'go to.' After reading the great reviews on Yelp!, I tried it out and have been coming ever since. Ask for Lan - she's amazing and so sweet - very detailed and thorough. I believe they have 3 levels of pedicures - regular, Royal Pedicure, and one more. The Royal Pedicure is about the same price as you would get a regular pedicure elsewhere - so I normally opt for that and love it. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always counting the hours / minutes down because it's so enjoyable to be there. I've never felt that way before about getting my nails done. For those who are pregnant, I would caution that sometimes when the salon is busy - the chemical smell can be really overwhelming so try to come during quieter times. By the end of my last appointment, I was starting to get faint / dizzy and may hold off on coming back until after my pregnancy is over. read more

This is the best nail place in the Fullerton/Placentia area, and trust me I've tried them all. I always leave this place happy. That being said today was a little hard because I had a guy nail tech, I didn't catch his name, who I asked if he could do a gel ombré French nail. He said yes. Everything was fine until the last round when I noticed the "ombré" was just a spotty white 3/4 of the nail. It looked pretty terrible. I tried asking if he could fix it with more solid white on the bottom, to which he replied "no, cannot." Excuse me?! First off, I'm never one to really complain about something unless it's really bad. So another tech came and asked me if I liked it, to which I said NO. Lynn then came by and made him take them all off and she redid them herself. They were absolutely beautiful (and what I originally wanted). She told him to finish it up and give me the hand massage - BUT he just wiped my hands off with a towel and sent me off. No hard feelings right? Lol. I've definitely been to many nail salons - good and bad... and of course some that are a hit or miss. KC Nails & Spa definitely has good service and the camaraderie between the nail techs is nice. I came here for dip power nails because that's my new go to. Lily helped me out - she has such a sweet attitude and was really nice. The one thing I didn't like (and why I gave 4 stars) is because she drilled off some of my previous dip powder with the metal drill. I hate metal drills and prefer the rubber ones. I know most places use metal, but my old salon used rubber. The metal gets hot and hurts my nail beds and burns. I did tell her that and she tried to be as gentle as possible. I also warned her that I have very sensitive cuticles and she did a good job being gentle. She brought me the books to choose my color and I did a dip powder + gel combo basically. The end result was really nice and she made it thinner so it wasn't so thick. Good job and I may come back... the metal drills really got me worried though, but that's a personal preference thing. read more

I always go to Nancy whenever I want my nails done! She never disappoints and she's been doing my nails for as long as I can remember. I mainly get dip powder and her work is never done cheaply. I get compliments every time I get a new set from friends, coworkers, and strangers! My sets ALWAYS last 3-4 weeks and they've helped my real nails grow long and strong! Everyone is always impressed by them. If you want your nails done, I would highly recommend having Nancy do them! Always super cute and well done! I love my nails so much and I love that they last a long time. I noticed that there's never much lifting either when they grow out which is nice! I called 5 different places at 2 pm & everyone was booked. This was the last place I called & they said they had an opening. I booked 2 spa pedicures for me & my boyfriend for a date. We showed up at 2:15. They were very friendly & respected social distancing. She sanitized our seats in front of us & had a glass barrier as well from other clients. We asked for water to be adjusted & they were kind enough to do it. Kind tiny women with cute flower collar then proceeded to start with my toes 10/15 minutes later another woman came & proceeded to do my mama toes. Everything went great. We both received a "royal pedicure" & were very satisfied. I would give 5 stars honestly.. but when we got home I touched my mans feet and he still had some calluses on both heels of the feet. We probably had the same amount of buildup. With that being said, I just wish all his came off. Not sure if it was the product or the technician. Other than that, we had a lovely experience. Honestly I've come here a few times mostly for the affordable prices and because the owners are always so friendly, however I have to write this review based on the gel manicure I got 2 days ago. The past times I came here the work done was average at best, but this time my nails look like a complete mess. Lynn did my nails herself and she seemed to rush the job and didn't pay much attention to detail or good work. The pictures are self explanatory, I tried to ignore the messy work that was done and hoped the excess gel polish would wash off but it hasn't and now I have to get this mess fixed somewhere else because she didn't pay attention to detail and rushed the job. Unfortunately I will not be returning and I will get my nails done near CSUF where the prices are a bit more but the owner actually cares about doing a great job and inspects her work before having her customers leave.i read more
