I was in town and needed my nails done at the last minute, so I picked this salon because it had…read morealmost 5 stars and a ton of positive reviews. After my appointment, I went back and read the negative reviews, and honestly, those matched my experience much more closely. The first red flag was that I walked in to ask about pricing, then left to think about it, and one of the employees actually came out into the parking lot to convince me to come back. That immediately felt off. The second red flag was that I asked for almond-shaped acrylics, and the technician immediately started putting tips on without ever asking what length I wanted. He just assumed I wanted them short. By that point I was already committed, so I just went with it. As the service went on, I also noticed the salon wasn't as clean as I would expect. There were leftover decorations up and everything was just dirty and had stains on it, and debris around the work area, and it just didn't give me a great feeling. To be fair, the pedicure came out really nice. They opened what appeared to be a sealed pack of sanitized tools, which I appreciated, and I'm happy with how my toes turned out. The acrylic nails, though, were another story. The technician left noticeable gaps between the acrylic and my cuticles, as well as along the sides of my nails. They're also extremely thick. My boyfriend, who normally doesn't notice nails at all, actually asked if they were press-ons because they looked so bulky and fake. It's only been about a week, and because of the large gap near the cuticle, they already look like they've grown out for several weeks. I know sometimes a last-minute appointment is all you can get, and that's why I stayed. But if I could do it over again, I would have gone somewhere else. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this salon based on my experience.

While the price is affordable, I will not come back due to sanitary issues & incorrect methods they use. We made appts for 12 pm and my nails were not started until 12:45 pm. My nail tech (Michelle) was very nice and she does nails well, however, she used the nail grinder tool to clean my cuticles. My cuticles HURT for hours after my nails were done and weeks after the appt, I still have cut up cuticles and scabbing from the blood (pictures attached). I wish I had known in the moment that this method is not okay; it should have been a cuticle cutter. Once I got to my car and quickly googled that I found: Grinders are made for shaping hard artificial or natural nail surfaces, not living skin. Using a high-speed rotating bit on the delicate cuticle and the nail bed can easily cause painful skin tears, deep friction burns, and severe infections. These aren't correct practices used by this salon; they are taking the easy route to get it done quickly. Would not recommend. I would give them 1 star but Yelp removes those reviews easily so that's why I'm putting 2-stars.

If you park in the parking garage there is a very cute cat that lives in the nearby houses and it will likely come out and greet you if you walk by (10/10 experience). If you're hungry or thirsty after your appointment there are SO many good cafes and restaurants near by. Since the artists here are so talented, their books fill up fast, so book quickly! Here for a long time this is probably the worst shaping I've ever gotten here. I could have done my own shaping better than that at home. Just ridiculous *** it was around 5-7 weeks since my last pedicure so my toes were not "really short" besides the big toe that broke. I added another picture to show that she was filing into my toe nails after cutting them super short as short as she could get them and made half of them round and tiny. She also cut the sides of the nails which you aren't supposed to do due to infection and hang nails. I asked her not to do this. there was no reason for her to cut the sides of my nails on one foot and not the other leaving with me with uneven toes. I appreciate the response but I feel that there should be an attempt to fix the situation instead of making excuses or insinuating that I'm making this up.

I found this place by reading the other reviews and want to confirm the experience of others. I went in to get my nails redone from another salon that wasn't as thorough. Kaci (one of the owners) redid my nails herself. She was very kind and took her time. Love the results!! Her Husband (Andy-Owner) greeted all the guests with a warm attentiveness. The prices are modest and their work it precise and timely, I was out after 25 minutes (after making an appointment). They take walk-ins, they took 3 while I was getting my nails done and accommodated their immediate requests, yet at the same time didn't hurry the other guests they had at the time (that takes a delicate balance). I've been coming to Kacy's for 10+ years and they always do a fabulous job. I've gone to other places with friends closer to where they live, but Kacy's is the best. They are recently under new ownership! The new owners, Kacy and Andy, are cousins of the former owner Lisa, and they are updating the salon and giving it a mini makeover. I was worried I was going to have to find a new salon but Kacy and Andy have been so nice and welcoming. They kept all of the same technicians and have made some nice improvements to the salon. They have owned several salons all over the US so they know what they are doing. Andy and Kacy have both done my nails and they were great! Kacy Nails and Spa is the must place to come when you need to be full glam . From new set acrylics to a much needed pedicure they can even give you a full face wax ! The prices are incredible the job they do is unbelievably amazing and they are the kindest of people ! I have been coming to Kacy for three months & I don't think I'll ever go any where else This was my first ever set that Kacy did and although photos don't do justice for the work she does this set of nails lasted me 3 months I'm sure it could have lasted me longer but a girl knows when she needs a new set ! I cannot recommend Kacy Nails and Spa enough! I got gel builder nails, and Kacy did an absolutely phenomenal job. I really love the attention to detail put into my manicure. My cuticles look perfect, the shape is exactly what I wanted, and the polish application is flawless. She really took their time to make sure everything was perfect instead of rushing through the appointment. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere of the salon is so welcoming. Tammy and Lisa are great with acrylics and everyone else does wonderful pedicures. What really bothers me is that Julie aais plenty of things about the drama surrounding the salon. Julie talked about the owner (Lynn) and other situations. I should have paid attention to those red flags instead of brushing them off. So here's my warning: if you can't handle a customer respectfully bringing up a concern, maybe customer service isn't for you. I don't ever make an appointment but with that being said Fridays tend to busy and probably Saturdays as well so keep that in mind and be patient if you have to wait. They are typically pretty quick if you do have to wait. Cost is fair and affordable, they have multiple TVs and tend to have some sort of RomCom showing as well as news. They offer water for free and do have other beverages to offer.

He didn't clean up any of the glue or trim her cuticles. When he was done he quickly got up and moved to the next client. Today I had the older female tech. She kept burning me with the drill. I told her my nails are thin but she insisted she was being gentle. I also got my nails redone the same day. They added builder gel and used the color I actually asked for. Lesson learned, will never go here again.

Then Tina introduced me with it and fell in love forever! I've moved to LA 8 months ago and I am still making that drive to OC every 3 weeks! Tina and Jenny is THAT good! Family oriented brick and mortar. They run their business old school style and that's how I love it. My baby girl and my fur-babe love them and they love my girls! Their customers are long time customers. There are some customers that has been going there for over 30 years, there are some Mothers & daughters that have been going there since their daughters were little kids and now they're young women, etc. They have lots of color choices. Tina and Jenny are super friendly and caring towards all of their customers. And their pricing are super affordable. It opened up an amazing room for tipping them abundantly.
