After multiple disappointing services at other salons in Orange County, I finally found a place that understands that being a nail tech is a craft and prioritizes healthy nails!!! I've been coming here for almost 2 years and I very much enjoy every appointment. Rachel and Cindy do my manicures and Grazziela does my pedicures. I appreciate them all. They use quality products. They have super clean sanitation practices. I always leave happy. The tldr; come get your nails and toes done here - you won't regret it. I have the pleasure of regularly getting my nails done by the fabulous Rachel Messick. My very first appointment she talked about nail health and I honestly learned so much. I've been coming back ever since. I have NEVER not been completely satisfied with my nails and the experience. I look forward to coming in and catching up with Rachel and leaving with nails I can't stop staring at. She is an artist through and through and I love showing off her work to everyone I know. I get basic gel (or at least I think it is) and my nails always last - I go about 4 weeks between appointments. I've also gotten by nails done by Grazziela, another artist at Vacation Nail Collective. She too did an amazing job! I've been meaning to book a pedicure with her and have been eyeing her books. Just need to commit! The location is also super cute. There's parking either on the street, the lot behind the building, or a parking structure about a block away (don't worry it's free). If you park in the parking garage there is a very cute cat that lives in the nearby houses and it will likely come out and greet you if you walk by (10/10 experience). If you're hungry or thirsty after your appointment there are SO many good cafes and restaurants near by. Since the artists here are so talented, their books fill up fast, so book quickly! *This review is only for Cindy* I had been going to Cindy for some time and she was very accommodating and her work was amazing. The last 2-3 appointments, the quality of her work changed. Not only that but she recently changed her policies that I did not agree with. She sent an email regarding her price increase of $50 to reflect her quality and she advised no children would be allowed moving forward. I am a single mother and would take my daughter to some of my appointments. Mind you, my 5 year old would be there with her tablet, not running or roaming. While I can understand her policies and adhere to them, I didn't agree but still decided to keep my next appointments. After the email, she posted on her story which I saw and of course took as reminder as it was a few days before my upcoming appointment. Two days before my appointment, she decided she would DM and tell me that she wanted to make sure I would adhere to her policy and not bring my child. I let her know I did not agree but I'd adhere to her policy regardless. I went to my appointment only to get another message from her 2 days after my appointment letting me know that we weren't a good fit after doing my nails for some time. Now, to me, this is extremely unprofessional. The email was fine, the story was the reminder, the DM was unnecessary and the post appointment message was unprofessional. Her quality was already suffering, an increase of $50 over original pricing was already a lot for her work. The unprofessionalism was the cherry on top. I do not recommend getting work done with Cindy. read more

Marissa does my nails and she always does a beautiful job- my cuticles are completely clean, the shape and design are immaculate, and she is always a pleasure to be around. I never have to worry if my nails will look good as long as I go to her!!! read more

I love Rachel! I waitlisted for an appointment with her and found her through a recommendation. I've had two appointments with Rachel so far. The first was for a foreign removal + gel extension with art, and the second was for gel extension. She's so easy to talk to and her work really speaks for itself. I'm at my computer typing a lot for work and use dumbbells and barbells 2-3 hours 5 days a week and my nails haven't chipped one bit. :) Highly recommend! read more

This review is for Cindy: I LOVE my nails and manicure experience! I came in with very weak and brittle nails due to my previous dip powder from a different salon. Cindy took extra care with my cuticles and did not rush the process. The manicure overall took 2 hours and 15 min. The regular gel differs from the structured (in terms of how hard you want your nails to be). Even with the regular gel, my nails are hard. I requested for a very natural, nude color, and she definitely delivered! At the end of the manicure, Cindy put cuticle oil and gave a free mini cuticle oil. I am very pleased with my manicure and will be coming back in one month! read more

I have been going to Rachel Messick as an "OG" client for 2 years now. I LOVE her and her vibe. The VNC space is beautiful, spacious and has great vibes. It's easy to find near the Orange circle with the directions they provide. And it's in a great location to find something to do before or after your appointment. I'm a nurse and am constantly washing my hands and using hand sanitizer both at work and at home as a mom. I can confirm that I do not have any lifting or peeling or breakage with my manicure on my natural nails. Rachel happens to be booked up usually, but all the ladies in the studio do great and similar work with their gel manicures. When VNC opened a few months ago I also started going to GBarney Nails for my pedicure. I wanted to go somewhere with a private space and felt clean with knowing the studio takes COVID precautions seriously. read more

This is a beautiful nail salon in the heart of the orange circle. I visited almost a month ago with the fabulous Marissa and I have without a doubt found my new nail place! The place itself is very aesthetic but my experience with Marissa was so lovely. She was so kind, engaging, and meticulous with my structured manicure. This was my first structured manicure but Marissa was so helpful in explaining how it would help with my healthy natural nail journey. Not only does she put amazing effort in her artwork, but she makes sure to answer all nail care questions and gives tips for how to best preserve any work you had done.
