I was in town and needed my nails done at the last minute, so I picked this salon because it had…read morealmost 5 stars and a ton of positive reviews. After my appointment, I went back and read the negative reviews, and honestly, those matched my experience much more closely. The first red flag was that I walked in to ask about pricing, then left to think about it, and one of the employees actually came out into the parking lot to convince me to come back. That immediately felt off. The second red flag was that I asked for almond-shaped acrylics, and the technician immediately started putting tips on without ever asking what length I wanted. He just assumed I wanted them short. By that point I was already committed, so I just went with it. As the service went on, I also noticed the salon wasn't as clean as I would expect. There were leftover decorations up and everything was just dirty and had stains on it, and debris around the work area, and it just didn't give me a great feeling. To be fair, the pedicure came out really nice. They opened what appeared to be a sealed pack of sanitized tools, which I appreciated, and I'm happy with how my toes turned out. The acrylic nails, though, were another story. The technician left noticeable gaps between the acrylic and my cuticles, as well as along the sides of my nails. They're also extremely thick. My boyfriend, who normally doesn't notice nails at all, actually asked if they were press-ons because they looked so bulky and fake. It's only been about a week, and because of the large gap near the cuticle, they already look like they've grown out for several weeks. I know sometimes a last-minute appointment is all you can get, and that's why I stayed. But if I could do it over again, I would have gone somewhere else. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this salon based on my experience.

These aren't even square and she kept cutting the side of my toe nails and filing them back when they were too short and hurt. I've been coming. Here for a long time this is probably the worst shaping I've ever gotten here. I could have done my own shaping better than that at home. Just ridiculous *** it was around 5-7 weeks since my last pedicure so my toes were not "really short" besides the big toe that broke. I added another picture to show that she was filing into my toe nails after cutting them super short as short as she could get them and made half of them round and tiny. She also cut the sides of the nails which you aren't supposed to do due to infection and hang nails. I asked her not to do this. there was no reason for her to cut the sides of my nails on one foot and not the other leaving with me with uneven toes. I appreciate the response but I feel that there should be an attempt to fix the situation instead of making excuses or insinuating that I'm making this up.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Fleur Nail Spa in Santa Ana, and I feel it's important to share it so others know what to expect. The technicians, especially Jenny and Annie, are incredibly talented and are the only reason I continued returning. They consistently provided great service and treated me with kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, the ownership is the complete opposite. On more than one occasion, appointments were rescheduled without informing me that the specific technician I requested would not even be working that day. Instead of notifying me beforehand, I wasn't told until I arrived for my appointment. I was offered a credit as an apology, but when it came time to pay, the husband conveniently disappeared, leaving his wife to deal with the situation. What bothered me even more was witnessing how the owners treated their employees. During appointments, they would interrupt technicians in the middle of providing services, speaking to them in a way that was distracting and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expect my appointment to be relaxing--not repeatedly interrupted because management chooses to address employees while they are actively working on clients. It unnecessarily extends the appointment and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. As a business owner myself, I respectfully expressed that I felt this was unprofessional and disruptive. Rather than accepting constructive feedback, Christina, the owner, became defensive, called me "trash," and told me not to come back. That response alone speaks volumes about how customer concerns are handled. I have no problem taking my business elsewhere. I support businesses that value both their customers and their employees, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. If you're looking for a salon with professional, respectful ownership, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The technicians deserve recognition for their excellent work, but in my opinion, the owners' behavior overshadows the quality of the services they provide. read more

Absolutely horrible. I called today at 11am to make an appointment at 2:30pm appointment and asked for form nails not once but twice to make sure the lady heard and understood me. I get there 30 minutes early just to have to wait until 3pm and have them start doing regular tips with acrylics. I told them I wanted FORM nails and what do they tell me? Came here a couple times already and their service was phenomenal. I got the Royalty Pedicure and I love the massage and paraffin. They have shields in between spa chairs for Covid customer's safety. It is a little busy in there but that means they are doing something right. They got complimentary drinks and loyalty cards. I save money for coming here! Highly recommend this place! This was my 2nd time at Zara. First time was wonderful. I am not a fancy nail gal and don't know…read morethe lingo well. I've mostly just done my own nails. However one index nail has developed a split that stops growing at a point and breaks. My clear enamel no longer did the job. But a lady at Zara, months ago, fixed it! I believe she put gel on that nail because it was shinier and higher than the others. It lasted a long time. I returned recently and requested the same thing. Did not get it. And there was a language barrier so although I did ask why they had not done the gel that I had been very clear to request when checking in, it was too late. And they seemed to sincerely believe that what they had done would fix my problem and two ladies (check-in person and the person who did the work) did their best to explain to me what had actually been done to that nail (one kept using the word "foundation"). Unfortunately not only did that nail split within only a couple of days, causing me to have to clip it, ALL the nails began losing their clear coat in layers. Layers that are peeling and catching on things like hair. I feel like they tried but either did not want to do what I asked or thought their way was better for a reason I never understood due to a language challenge. I will not return.
