I've been coming to this nail salon for a long time, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. When I came in today, Mimi was doing my nails. From the moment I started choosing my colors, I felt like I wasn't being given the opportunity to choose what I actually wanted. Even after I selected a color, a different color was used instead. She also seemed to be in a big hurry the entire time, which made me feel rushed, like she just wanted to finish my nails as quickly as possible. Her attitude toward me was rude and dismissive. I also agreed to get acrylic gel, but the acrylic gel service was not done as expected. Despite that, I ended up paying $75. If I agree to a specific service and pay for it, I expect to receive that service. What made me even more uncomfortable was that while they were working, they were speaking to each other in their language and making facial expressions while looking at me. I understand that people may speak whatever language they are comfortable with, but in that situation, the way it happened made me feel like I was being talked about or made fun of. As a customer, I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. I've supported this salon for a long time, so I expected much better customer service and respect. After this worst experience, I would never go back to this salon again. No customer should leave feeling rushed, uncomfortable, disrespected, or like they didn't receive the service they paid for. read more

The two ladies who did my nails were kind. However, when it came to choosing the color of my nails I felt a little pressured to pick what they wanted not what I wanted the color was close to what I had originally picked, but ultimately wasn't very satisfied. There are some flaws to the nails however, from far away, they look good it's just not the color I would have preferred and if you look closely, there are some pretty obvious flaws. I don't remember the nail tech name, but she was friendly and worked quickly. As for the pedi, once again, I felt pressure to get the most expensive. I didn't even have time to look at my other options. I was actually going to go on a pretty rough hike the following day so I didn't want anything fancy because I knew there was a possibility it would ruin. The lady who did my pedicure was very sweet and kind, but pressured me to get the most expensive. Not in a rude way though. When it came to paying, I was a little shocked at the price. It was way more than I was expecting given that I only got short nails, one solid color and the pedicure was also one solid color. Apparently things were being added without my knowledge. I know nail salons are not cheap and I was expecting to pay in the one 120-130 range however it was more than that. I gave this along a try because of the good reviews and it was close by however I don't know if I will be back to the salon given that I just felt pressured. I usually go to a salon in Newport Beach and do a little more with my nails, and I get charged less than what I paid. I know nails are not cheap and I never expect to pay any less than 100 and something dollars but for what I paid for how simple these nails were. Ambiance was nice and I like that they play movies on Netflix while you're relaxing. The service was really good but the lady that did my pedicure, cut some skin off my big toe and it's infected now so I have to keep it wrapped with antibiotic gel. I'm hoping I don't have to go to the doctor for it. I love the color of my toes, the lady did a really good job painting them, but I asked for a basic pedicure which was priced at $29 plus the $7 callus remover and my total came out to $51 I'm not sure where the extra total came from but I don't like complaining so I paid and tipped.
