Checking out this track for the first time and like Santa Clara this place is awesome! It's kind of busy so we expected some waiting. So what! You get to race these totally awesome electric high performance race carts! Fast acceleration, challenging course and some people that really don't know how to drive! It all adds up to a ton of fun! Came here on a Sunday evening with 6 other friends, it was my buddy's birthday and we really wanted to make it an eventful evening for him, we arrived around 5 and signed in, the lady at front said it'd be an estimated wait time of two hours. We ended up waiting for three plus hours and every time we'd ask the front desk they just kept saying it'd be another twenty minutes. Would not come back here ever for an event. Update, the rest of the night was followed by an unfortunate accident where a guy had his finger brutally smashed/ injured and the track had to be stopped for 30 minutes, it was handled in a professional and speedy manner, the people there refunded us our races and gave us a free race since there was still time to fit our group in for one. read more

This place is fun but their system to sign up for a race needs vast improvements. You can't sign waivers on line, so the entire group has to be there in person to sign the waiver when booking a race time. Then there is not an online system in place to reserve a race time. So you must go in person to sign up for races that day then wait around forever until your race time or come back later. You can't even see available times online so you could go in when they open only to find out no time slots are available until 8:00 at night, especially for junior races which get booked up by parties. We have tried to go a few times and each time it has been an exercise in frustration and disappointment. On top of this the employees are very hit or miss as to being nice and good customer service. Some are helpful and pleasant and others are dismissive or rude. It's a fun place to go, but massive improvements are needed in the reservation process and website usage. read more

Not worth it. Walk in only, and unless you get there right when they open, you'll be waiting around for 3 to 4 hours to get your first race. Staff was unorganized, and the price and poor state of the facility just wasn't worth the price. I've done this in Vegas and never experienced this there. read more

My kid absolutely loves coming here! Friendly and diligent staff always makes the experience fun. One race lasts about 10 minutes, but it's enough even for my driving-crazy 9 year old. He's usually satisfied with one race at a time as long as he knows he gets to come back for more. read more

Booked an adult birthday party here and the reservation agent is nice and super accommodating. Catering is so convenient. Very professional service. Will update the review after the party. UPDATE: the party for 12 adults was a big success thanks to the great staff at K1 , their top notch racing venue, and the super delicious food put on by Absolute Celebrations catering. I very highly recommend the Dublin location for a fantastic birthday celebration. My husband loves his 56th birthday party! The Daytona room was a blast and perfect for our party since my husband is a huge NASCAR fan! The awards ceremony is a must and the manager emailed photos of all of us including group photos. If I could give them 0 stars I would for customer service. I called prior to driving 35 minutes to inquire if they were open and accepting walk ins and was told they were. I get there with my family and what do you know, I was told as we were checking in that they were not accepting walk ins. This place sucks told us our wait time was an hour and a half and it plans to be 2plus hours . They don't know how to operate . We as a family wanted to race together and decided to split us up and when we wanted to change it and race they said to wait another hour . The track guys and girls at the front have no clue how to operate as well . I don't recommend this place especially on a weekend . Worst customer service ever. Some lady at the register told us that we had to purchase a minimum of two races for $45, plus and additional $7 for a membership do race. We asked her about the walk-in and race for $20 she denied and said no we have to pay the $45 plus $7. We looked online and it is $24 to do one race and no membership fee required. When we showed her the online pricing she immediately got quiet and still tried to overcharge us for the membership! SCAMMER! Please get rid of this rude lady who is trying to steal people's money. I visited K1 Speed Racing on November 23rd at 7:50 p.m. with my three children. I was refused a race because my children were under the age of 13 there is nothing posted anywhere on their websites that there is no racing for youth after 8:00 p.m. those were the managers claims. I explained to him that the website did not specify age ranges on specific hours and that I tried to contact them via phone to ensure that there was space available but that I was unable to reach anybody due to the automated system. The manager then stated that the phones are all automated because his staff is too busy to be answering phone calls I explained that they could be more specific with the rules and timing on the recording to alleviate people having to travel an hour and waste gas in today's high gas prices. I asked to speak to a manager not knowing that he was the manager and he said I am the manager I asked him for corporate's number and will be following up with them I asked if he could possibly at the very least wave the $7.95 sign up membership which is an added fee on top of the 27 dollar race fee he said he would be unable to do that I will not be returning to this location ever again and possibly not going to another K1 unless this gets resolved having to commute all the way to Dublin to find out that we are not allowed to race it's very disappointing the lack of customer service at the price point that they have given the customers is unacceptable I do not recommend this place to anybody read more

One thing's for sure - this ain't for the weak hearted. Yes, it's not real car racing...But it feels pretty close for regular folks, especially when it's 8 or more on the track at the same time. Every dam thing your adventurous heart wanna do on the road, which DMV laws doesn't let you...you do it HERE. It's all run by kids, but they do a pretty good job about it. They let you have fun (bump and crash into each other), without letting things get out of the hand. Any over aggressive drivers are warned or removed from the track. Cars are electric, which is great. No fumes, no strong gasoline smell, no roaring deafning noise in indoor setup. Instant tourqe, gets enough speed to feel the adrenaline rush along with good safety features. Had fun with scardy cat wifey and friends. Definitely would be back. read more

This place has serious management and customer service issues. From making a reservation, booking a birthday and overall customer service our experience was terrible. The amount of money you pay is not equivalent to the experience. The staff are not mature enough to be running these cars and they are so rude and do not know how to address problems. My son had his birthday here and the 3rd lap the boys crashed because the staff turned up the speed (after they said they had to slow it down because the boys didn't know how to drive..duh.. they are kids) and then yelled at the boys for accidentally crashing. They didn't ask if they were ok or talk to the parent just said your 3rd lap is ending they were penalized for accidentally crashing after the staff turned up the speed. I also spoke to the staff who gave me the run around and then emailed the contact person who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Its been 3 months now and still has not been resolved. WARNING!!! This place is not safe! Lawsuit will happen soon against these people. I also was not the only customers that day that had a bad experience. I was at the counter and other people were complaining about their experience as well. read more

The Dublin K1 Team provide a fantastic karting experience! The karts are fast and well maintained and the facility is modern, very clean and spacious. The finest attribute though, is the excellent staff. Starting with Ken Lewis, the GM, the whole crew is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Evan, Daniel, Jatario, Adam, Michael, John, Jan, Vila, Natalie, Sarai, Jessy, Matt, Ashley (and several more staff) take great care in providing a superb karting experience. Additionally, this K1 location provides delicious food including flatbread pizzas, wings and beverages plus beer and wine! Warning, this place is addictive! It can get busy so there can be waiting times in between your races. That's when the on site food, lounges, pool table and arcade games all come in handy. Dublin K1 has my highest recommendation for family or adult fun in a great environment. Update: 11/10/2018- 1) The kart racing is even more fun! They have new tires on the karts that stick like glue so that anyone can race like NASCAR or F1. And the Dublin track has the best management in K1. The GM, Ken Lewis, is all about customer experience. The track supervisor, Jatario Simmons, is the epitome of class. Be ready to race and love it!!! read more

Won't return. My husband and I took our son here and he was just barely short of the requirement for kids. I can respect rules of course so we went on to watch my husband race. Unfortunately my son pointed out the same people that turned my son down, allowed several more kids to ride without even checking height. My son was same height and even taller than some. We watched 2 kids not even able to reach the pedals, and they put something in the car to make it so they could. Like I said, I can respect the rules but this was outright unfair. After pointing it out, the staff member "went to check" sometime and never returned. Waste of money and won't return. Would not recommend this business. I'm not sure why they picked US to turn down but it clearly wasn't because of height. read more

I've been to all three K1 Speed Centers in the Northern California Bay Area (Dublin, San Francisco and Santa Clara). My areas of opportunity both the San Francisco and Santa Clara locations are to prepare and queue the races on busier days. On separate very busy Saturday nights both locations did not prepare or queue the next race while there was a race in progress. They only set up the next race once the race prior ended and the racers left the Pits. This added to the wait times. Like all centers the weekends get very busy, but unlike other centers (San Francisco and Santa Clara) while a race is in progress the Dublin center prepares and queues another row and sometimes two rows of racers by having them seated in the karts ready for the next race. When a race ends and enters the Pits to park, the next race simultaneously exits the Pits to begin the next race, which minimizes wait times. The entire Dublin staff are polite, friendly and super helpful. As a regular customer at all three locations I must admit the Dublin location is more organized in comparison to San Francisco and Santa Clara at the time of this review. With my first hand experience the Dublin Track Marshals are very helpful in giving advice on how to become a faster racer, you just need to ask. When my son and I set our personal best times the staff cheered and were super supportive which kept my son motivated to keep racing and trying to improve. My areas of opportunity for the Dublin location is the track is the shortest out of all the Bay Area tracks (San Francisco and Santa Clara). Which means the 16 advertised laps is only about 5-6 minutes of racing while at the other two locations (San Francisco and Santa Clara) the race time is a much longer duration. I suggest to increase the laps at the Dublin location to at least 18 or even 20 to make the price per race more justifiable to the average consumer. All of my areas of opportunity are minor fixes and wish list items and do not deter from the fun experience at all K1 locations. read more

This place was super fun aside from the guy they call sippi who was rude and pretty much a asshole and was supposedly the manager but apparently really wasn't because when we talked the real manager ken I think his name was. We were able to have a grown up conversation and he could understand what was going on and made it right. Unlike SIPPI who just kept repeating some jibberish and couldn't explain anything more then a repetitive sentence with a dumb grin on his face. Just had my first visit here a couple days ago and I was provided service quickly. I haven't been to any go cart places before so im glad that I was able to go here as my fist go carting experience. The sweet lady that assisted me and my family was the manager Vila I believe that's her name? She helped us get in our races quickly; she was super sweet and helpful. We did 2 races each and even got our own race with just the family alone which I thought was kinda cool & at the end they print out the stats for the race. I would definitely recommend coming here to my family and friends. read more

If I could I'd give it a 0 to be honest. We drove over an hour a half to come to this location. When we arrive we were told there wasn't going to be a Jr. race for my 8 year old for over 3 hours. I understand they get busy so that wasn't the main issue. We asked how long of a wait for my husband and my 10 year old daughter who is over 58 inches and has raced in multiple locations in the teen/adult karts. The lady took one look at my daughter didn't measure her or ask any questions and told her no she HAD to race in a junior kart because it's not safe. She has raced at several other locations and usually finishes in the top 3 and has top times in multiple locations beating out grown men on a consistent basis. We race 3-4 times a week at our home track. The front desk lady rolled her eyes at us and had a nasty attitude. We definitely won't go back. If you want a friendly track I recommend Rohnert park and Fairfield. read more

I Called earlier to see what a good time to go was & if they had slots available & was told the later you come the better. I recently visited the Dublin, CA location this past Saturday. I'm giving this 4 stars only due to the mis-information that was given to me over the phone by a rep in Southern California. When you call to make a reservation or have a question, you have to leave a message and then someone will call you back. The person that will call you back is from a Southern California number. I originally was trying to make a reservation at the San Francisco location but they told me it will be a three hour wait Because I didn't have at least eight people in my party that would ride the same track, meaning I could not make a reservation. So the only option was to be a walk-in and that was a three hour wait. So I decided to call the Dublin location, And once again someone returned my call from a Southern California number and they told me that I could do walk in and it would be a 1 to 2 hour wait. I came with all my guests on the day of, and was told it was a four hour wait. The manager who goes by Sippi, explained me how that information is inaccurate and that the people are calling back from a call center. They don't have any real insight of what the scheduling will look like. There were multiple birthday parties that day and that's why the wait was so long. Due to his patience, I decided to still come back four hours later. There were many other frustrated customers coming in. A lot of them were very rude. The manager still held his composure and was nice to everyone, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. When we returned four hours later, we had such a great experience! The staff was amazing, all of the staff. We really had a good time. We were celebrating my son's 10th birthday and he said it was the best birthday ever. I just want to commend the manager and staff for a job well done and for turning a negative into a positive. That's the kind of customer service I expect and I will definitely be back again! read more

First off, my first review was not that great. One star is pretty harsh. Don't get me wrong, I love K1, I have like a 20.011 I think as my fastest ever at this place (Not the best, but pretty good!). The only reason my review was bad was many negative experiences, but people change! After that review, I had thought S San Francisco was going to be better. It was at first but then it slowly started to die. K1 in Dublin has really turned itself around which makes me very happy with their improvements. This place really deserves five stars. The only thing I would recommend though, is to NEVER and I mean, N-E-V-E-R go on a Friday night! This place will be packed!!! You've heard of an occupancy restriction?? This place barely makes it by! There are new employees (very nice ones! When I'm in tomorrow, I'll update this post to include their name!) and new track operators who actually know how to do their job, and an overall clean and nice experience! One last thing I swear! COVID! YES I know, no one likes it, but please PLEASE wear your masks in here. This place is fun IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BE IN QUEUE. But just be aware of it. They have a world horrible system for check-in and it doesn't matter if you have reservation or not. Every representatives gave us completely different explanation of waiting time, policy and etc, etc... We had to wait 3 hours and bumped out somehow, no apologies but rude attitude. This is the first time we tried k1 speed. The sign up process was straight forward and the wait for our race was very reasonable. Time duration of the race was also in line with my expectations. Overall I felt better except the concept of 1 year membership - I am not a big fan of signing up for something like this which I just wanted to try once. I came here on a spontaneous date night with my boyfriend and had a great time there. He's been there before, but it was my first time there. I was nervous because I have never done this before and was afraid of being judged by a ton of people. However, there were no judgments made. We went on a random Monday night and there were very few people there. It was mostly the staff and their friends. We got in, signed up, paid for our laps, and did two races. Upon paying they give you a head mask for your hair, mostly for people who use their helmets, but I used my boyfriend's helmet and didn't need to use it. Each race contains 12 laps and it was thrilling at first but after a while it was okay. I got bored a little along the way, but that's because I was busy being such a safe driver and did not want to crash. I did, however, try to beat my best time. It was a great first experience and we even got to keep a score sheet of our laps. The staff there were really nice and friendly. I know I'll be back there soon because we still have one more race in our cards and my boyfriend enjoys it. I highly recommend people who are into go-carting to give this place a shot. The staff is great and if you go in the evening on the week day it is not croweded at all and you don't have to wait long. read more

Ken was AMAZING! Our experience was amazing as well! After reading some of the other reviews regarding wait time, food pricing, other patrons, etc., I guess our timing was perfect! I took my 4 girls from ages 12 to 18 and they had a ball. We were able to register quickly on the computer systems, and we were paid up and waiting to be called within 15 minutes. (To be fair, we went at about 2:00 PM PT on Saturday, the weekend of Easter.) Only the 5 of us were on the course. IT was Great! It was nice to have the girls take their time and enjoy the driving, instead of having to be pushed by others who might be truly out to enjoy ONLY the speed. 'I get it.' For those experienced drivers, I could see how we would have DRIVEN THEM UP A WALL! So I am glad we had the course to ourselves. ;) Again, we did not have long lines of impatient people, we did not purchase food nor did we wait in line. So, can't vouch for the other reviews. Ken and his team were very patient with us and even allowed my youngest to get off the track after about about 3 times around the track. Ken took his time and explained the roles thoroughly and with kindness. We felt very comfortable with the team. read more

We actually ended up racing with a group of guys that did not follow the race/flag rules, they wiped out the only two girls in our group, they were hitting and blocking all other racers, and it just really ruined the race experience for us. HOWEVER, when we talked to the manager he completely understood why we were bummed. He has amazing customer service skills while also being down to earth. He refunded us, and apologized for the experience, even gave us the opportunity to re-do our race. The customer service made the experience worth while so we'll be back. read more

Great fun for kids and adults alike. Love the electric karts. Although it's much better than the traditional gas karts at the local mini golf park, they're still toys and the patrons range from clueless beginners to aggressive maniacal wannabees drunk on testosterone. We participated in the Junior League to test our nine year olds interest. It's a great concept that is undermined by karts of vastly differing performance and seemingly subtle favoritism for preferred customers. All said it was an exciting learning experience for my nine year old who placed highly in the final standings with no additional practice sessions. The overall format is good for teaching a kid the fundamentals of racing. The league concept has great potential, but I wouldn't take it seriously until it's better managed and the karts are better matched and maintained. The monthly ranking of fastest lap times is a better measure of who's the fastest junior driver. I drove the adult karts a few times myself and though entertaining, it's nothing like driving the real thing in a real race... read more

Told our group it was going to take an additional 2 hours and wanted us to prepay even tho I put 50 online to reserve. 3 other groups were complaining when we came in.
