This place is so fun and my kids love it. Staff are always incredibly helpful and nice. I especially appreciate how the people working the track ensure safety and rules are respected. We were a bit disappointed because I had received an email that it was drift night, but when we arrived it had actually been the night before. Marketing really needs to have accurate messaging going out. I double checked the email to see if I'd read it right and it indeed had the wrong night listed. Kids were super bummed, but decided to go out and drive and still had a great time. The track was a tad slippery still from drift night so they actually had a few tiny drift moments. They have food and drinks available for reasonable prices. Mostly pub type food, as well as snacks and candy. Lots of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. There's a pool table and other games in an arcade area. Plenty of seating options. I love that electric carts are available, as I don't miss having to breathe in fumes with the former gas carts. The facility itself is fun, and the kids had a great time, but I wouldn't recommend it for a birthday party given the cost. At $80 per child for the most basic package on a weekend I expected a higher level of service. Throughout the party, I had to ask for everything. I had to request water pitchers, ask for a candle and lighter, and no one offered to help cut the cake. The staff didn't offer much help coordinating the event. I've had parties at Pump It Up, where the staff was much more attentive and proactive. I also had an unpleasant interaction with an employee (Scott?). The employee's old white car was parked in front of the facility, with its windows completely down and a cracked windshield, and its alarm went off. The employee came outside, WALKED ON THE HOOD OF HIS CAR to turn off the alarm, and then accused me of hitting his car. My husband and the five children in my car all confirmed that I didn't. After confronting me in the parking lot, he walked back into K1 while I followed behind. I found it very inappropriate for an employee to yell at a customer, especially as they were entering the business. The kids enjoyed themselves, but the overall customer service was not up to my expectations. Came here to celebrate a birthday with less than 2 weeks notice. Mini package in the late afternoon. 2 laps for 8 min to 12 max teenagers/ adults. $85 plus service charge. You can pre register online and just check in upon arrival. You're immediately assigned a host to guide you through the event. In the beginning the process was a bit confusing but it all got sorted out by the time the race began. All drivers got a safety instruction. Then guided to 2 guys to help with helmet fitting. Birthday girl was girl in line as cars weee assigned to everyone in the party. There is a place to sit and watch the racers doing their laps. The 1st lap took some getting used to. But since it was a private track time for the party, there were no unnecessary public interactions crashing cars into each other. Safety first which I really appreciated. The girls had a complete blast once they figured out how the cars drove. There was a short 20 min break in between laps where they were given drink cards and game cards to use $10 ea. The second lap was the one that counts and who won 1st 2nd 3rd place. In the end everyone received a certificate and got to stand on the podium for pics. We brought our own cake. K1 provided the sliders and pretzel dogs and utensils plates. The party section was spacious and clean. Loved the decor. Great for older kids and adults as some of the parents, kids at heart, had to refrain from joining in on the party. Many of the kids weren't able to use their game card as we ran out of time. The kids saved it for their next visit. I would recommend this place for parties or a night out or even team building event. read more

I don't have anything to compare this place to since I've never go-karted before, but I thought it was fun and the pizza was surprisingly good. It wasn't fancy; if anything, it was reminiscent of the cheap Totino's frozen pizzas my mom used to buy. And that's why it was so good!! We came here as a work holiday party event. There was probably around 40 of us, all with different go-kart experience levels. The staff did a great job of wrangling us and making sure we stayed on schedule, understood the safety rules, etc. I was impressed by how they managed such a large group. We each got to do one race, then we ate lunch, and afterwards we each had another race. They give you a printout with your results and stats showing how you compare with others. They also email it to you. I do wish we could've eaten first, and then done all the racing, as I was starving by the time we got food, which was probably around 12:45/1:00ish. I don't know if that's the typical party schedule or if our organizer requested it like that. Two of our folks had a pretty bad crash and the staff immediately jumped into action to make sure everyone was ok and made the track safe so the crash victims could exit the track. That said, I don't know if we'd come back for a team building activity (too dangerous for us office nerds), but I would totally come here with friends. read more

We went there on a Sunday afternoon and secured a spot for a 30-minute race and the next one was in 3 more hours so we weren't going to wait for that. My son has a need for speed and competition and the first time he went, it was at the SF location, where he was able to race 3 times and fell in love! It was interesting watching the races -- there were so many accidents. The staff was able to attend to the go karts quick enough. There is a small arcade area there while you wait and a bar and bites area, so I'd say the amenities are pretty nice. It does get cold in the winter, so bundle up! Also, remember to bring your mask to reuse if you want to save $7.00. The staff were OK; answered questions we had, but not overly helpful. I had email conversation with Denlison from Corp group sales located in Irvin about booking a group session. She sent me a form with a notation on bottom of form "3.45% processing fee will apply for all non-cash payment". I responded back to see if I can pay with another form of payment without charges such as Cash, Zelle, check, venmo. answer was "no other form of payment was accepted". I responded to email to let Denlison know California businesses cannot legally charge a credit card convenience fee if they don't offer an alternative payment method. Since California's Senate Bill 478 took effect on July 1, 2024, it is illegal for businesses to apply surcharges or convenience fees. I sent the email to them over a week ago and I still didn't get a response. Their response so far is to ignore the email. I will take my business elsewhere. We had a great time here! We booked as a group and got to race three times. The place itself was very clean and immersive--all the decor is racing related and you can have an easy view of the track. Our stats were printed and given to each of us promptly after each race! There is a super cute ceremony setup where you get to stand on a platform for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. They give you pretty solid painted trophies as well. We had food as part of our party and it was pretty good as well. Overall we were very pleased with our experience! We came on a Saturday to celebrate my girlfriend's nephews bday, and we had a pretty good time. We arrived around 11:30AM, and since we were first timers to K1, we hopped on the computers to register ourselves. Once registered on the computer you move to the line to pay for your races. Everyone has to purchase a license, $7.95, plus however many races you want. I did 1 race and I was good. So for 1 race, it was around $35ish. The racing part was fun, the carts definitely pick up speed and were fun to drive. I like how they have post race results printed out afterwards so you can see how you did. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our first race so we decided to grab some food at the snack area. $19 for 4 sliders and 4 wings. The food was actually pretty decent but a little pricey for the portion sizes. If you go within a week of your bday, they have some freebies for you like a complimentary race. They don't take reservations unless it's for a birthday party, other than that it's first come first serve. read more

Terrible customer service. They had my group wait 2 hours just to inform us that they did not have the space for us. After checking in, we were informed that we would check back in an hour and a half. We finally check in and they then inform us that we never "reserved" our places because we never bought our tickets. I had informed the cashier that we were told different. The guy at the cashier just had an attitude the whole time and seemed irritated that we were even there. Long story short we leave after a small disagreement and the cashier clearly says "The F**k". Initially, I was wary of having a birthday party at this location due to its low reviews. I did end up going ahead with the booking which is done through corporate at their Irvine location. Communication was mostly good but prior to the event, I was given inconsistent and wrong info regarding protocol: what is allowed (and not) by different employees. Also, because I was unable to reach this Dublin location directly due to issues with their phone, I felt incredibly frustrated. After speaking on-site to Regional Manager, Aziz, about my experience, I am assured that he will work on fixing these problems so they don't happen again. Now for the positive part: the party was a hit and my group of 13 teen boys had a blast! Even days after, they are still raving about how much fun they had. I am grateful K1 Speed was able to accommodate my large group. Additionally, each employee I interacted with was helpful and friendly (which is a nice departure from some places with a youthful workforce). In particular, I was assisted by Juan and my party coordinator Jackie/Jacquelyn who both had great suggestions. All the boys loved the pizza which they inhaled in minutes and I had to order 2 more. After eating, they took a break in the arcade area to play video games and just hang out. Finally, we had cake in our private party room and proceeded with the awards ceremony. Such a fun time! We came here for my 14-year-old's birthday party and literally all the kids had a blast. The staff was amazing. They helped us with last minute booking due to having to switch weekends for our daughter's bday party. You walk in and it's very cool inside there's an arcade and the food is actually really good they literally had so many options pizza, nachos, chicken tenders and more. I took my son and his friend here a few weeks ago on a Friday early evening. We were so lucky as hardly anyone was there yet and the blue lights had just turned on! I bought the 5 laps package and the kids had a great time racing around. Meanwhile, my friend and I had a drink and played Jenga while waiting. This place is clean and if I lived near it, I would go often. It looks great for parties and company events. There's not a ton for teens to do in the area besides shop so this is a fun activity when you want to be inside. Highly recommend it for older teens and adults. I think younger kids would be an exception as it's a shorter activity and there's a skill level needed to have fun. I'm pointing that out only because when my kids were younger and attended a party, it was confusing for them and now I see why, but only because they are now older. Just keep expectations in mind when taking younger people there. read more

This is probably the worst location due to the negligent and irresponsible workers. Don't ever race if the blonde girl is controlling the race. I got bumped multiple times by other people and she didn't do a single thing. After the race was over the guys went up to her and playfully said "wait are we not allowed to bump people here" and she just laughed about it and flirted with the guys. My husband and I had a terrible time because these teenage boys were repeatedly bumping into us during our race and the blonde girl was allowing it to happen. read more

The next race wasn't until 8:30 pm. At least got the pre-screening info all done. We came back and checked in and got ready. There was still a wait but not too bad. All electric go karts made the experience that much better. The course is wide enough that karts can pass other racers. For about 6-7 minutes per race, it was fun. I'd say try to get 2 races in. There are printouts of the race results out front and also emailed to the email that you list when putting in your information. read more

Here's the problem, you can't book a timeslot so you have to wait. They tell you, to come back when your que is almost up. There isn't much to do in their waiting area, so most likely, you'll leave then come back. Also, there weren't any signs on their website to WEAR closed toe shoes. So be forewarned, don't wear sandals or flip flops. Another thing is that I had to tell the employees multiple times to please help my kid put his seat belt on correctly. Walked in 15 mins after opening and had to wait over an hour and a half for my kids to race. Juniors have their own carts which are slower but on the same track. When it gets busy on the weekends I'd like to see them split the track into two tracks so they can accommodate everyone in a timely manner. But otherwise the kids had fun. Fun fact: they are all electric go karts. I don't know if I haven't been in a while but I was utterly surprised along with the group I came with lol. Last time we went it was gas powered so it was a huge shock to walk in and not smell gas or hear loud karts on the track. I was a little skeptical at first because electric to me equals= slow. Happy that was not the case, they do start you off slow and based on your driving they will bump you up a few notches. By the 2nd lap I was zooming. It was really fun and worth it. Pretty pricing for a quick outing but we went for a birthday and it was worth it. This review is mainly for the logistics of the races you're paying for. First off, the two stars are for the hard working staff at this location... they are awesome and have the most patience in dealing with some of these unpredictable customers. I've been here for about 3 hours and some of these customers are just ridiculous and spoiled. Anyways... to why I really wrote this... two reasons. First, their racing queue system sucks... I understand it's first come first serve, but I feel on certain days there should be a reservation system. We got here at 4:30pm, and it's now 8pm, and my family has only had one out of three races. After asking where they are now in the queue, there's about 3-4 more races left until they're called. So we're basically pulling an all nighter. Wow. If I knew this we would have come on another day much earlier. I really feel sorry for those that are just coming in who have to start from the end of the line... they'll probably tell them to return tomorrow. That's sad. So when coming here, expect to stay forever for your turn... like the DMV, but worse. Second is the pricing system... so you not only have to pay for each actual race, but if you're not a member (which we were before, but I guess it expires after awhile), you'll each have to pay an additional membership fee... wow. So for three races (each race is about 12 laps) for a party of four (each a new customer/non-member), you'll pay around $300. Yep. I understand they obviously need to make money, but that's pretty pricey. At least have a student discount or a reward card system. At least they offer a tiny military discount... which is better than nothing I guess. Another thing is like to add is that they do offer food... not bad of a selection and the prices are reasonable for what they offer. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment much on that. So overall, if you're looking to take the family to the races... think Boomers but much faster racing after signing a long liability form, you do have to try this place at least once and you can be the judge. Just be super careful at those sharp turns on the race track... I've witnessed like 10 or more cars crashing into each other and it gets brutal and loud, but everyone walked away fine and with no body parts missing. So just be careful... in fact, you might want to watch the cars race a few times before signing up and make sure you have good health insurance. read more

Cool place for kid's parties/get-togethers. There are regular and junior carts. All are electric powered. However, they're not all equally powered and drivers are assigned to specific carts. It's random luck if you get a weaker cart. Helmets spray sanitized like bowling shoes between races. Still a fun time if you don't take it too competitively or seriously. There is a refreshment counter that sells beer for $7-8/can. They won't let you drive if you buy beer before your race. However, if you smell like cannabis they have no problem allowing you to drive. Pool tables and a few arcade machines available. Party rooms for kids parties. Lights and announcer gives off a Spearmint Rhino vibe (if you know, you know). Overall, clean facility and capable employees. Easy parking in warehouse area. read more

So, we get there, and they say its a 2+ hour wait for one race. So we left. Went to dinner. Could have come back afterward in time for the race but didn't bother with that either. Because this place is bullshit. The owners of this place need to figure out a normal reservation system. Unless their goal is to try and get people to sit in their lame ass arcade for hours. None of it makes sense. They have an online booking system where you can sign up for a membership. Why can't they allow pre-booking times to race? I just have to say, I love power steering. Yes, walking into go-karting... I'm fully aware what it entails. The facility was kept nice and clean with a small arcade area to wait in, not a bad place for a part as well (looks fun for kids that enjoys to race). I do wish there's a way to reserve for groups smaller than 8, but it is what it is. Do go with the mindset that there may not be availability and possibly a lot of waiting (having a back up plan to do something else won't hurt). We dropped by on a Saturday and the wait was around an hr, not bad at all (parking lot was relatively empty). It was very lucky that we didn't have much of a wait at all. There isn't much to say of the customer service, quiet and quick through the line. Membership (getting a head sock with the purchase of it) is $7, worth to get if you're going to be back and to have the head sock when borrowing helmets there. My friends and I brought our own helmets that we use at the track (T-hill and etc), more comfortable for us. Once called for our race (2 for the day), we get a quick run down of the rules and just sent to the karts. I am glad for the seat inserts to add since one of my friends and I are on the shorter side (5-5'3), make it a little more comfortable. Sore arms aren't uncommon to have, but worth for the fun. The biggest thing that irked me are the calls- the first race, we had this one kid that was very aggressive. The kid would bump other drivers mid race, side swipe and etc... made the race very difficult to enjoy. Literally the mindset that if this kid is driving on an actual road and rear ends multiple people... that's ok? Despite speaking to an employee... just because the kid is a regular doesn't mean they can get away with stuff. This definitely tested my patience, but no one seemed to care enough for us to say anything more... The 2nd race wasn't exactly any better. With the dad on the sideline cheering on his kid to bump people out of the way and etc... that the kid being a regular here... I think I'll be going to another K1 the next time our group decides to race (cheaper than T-hill and such at least). Final Thoughts: Santa Clara... or even driving up to Fairfield, maybe another K1 as friends have had much more pleasant experiences elsewhere. read more
