Been over a decade since I been to a water park. This was semi reasonable deal for me, I got the half off price online. Its a small park with about 6 water slides a wave pool and a lazy river, both of which are 3 feet of water so those were lame. The lines were super short because it was a cooler day in May & the start of the summer season. The only slide closed was Big Kahuna. We had fun forsure but it was freezing cold water with the wind. Staff & life guards were abundant & seemed to be taking the job seriously despite them being super young. This place/ visit brought us all smiles and laughs not to mention thrills and rushes of adrenaline.

Hiya B.U.M.S., The summer heat has been absolutely no joke lately, so we packed up and headed over to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Concord to soak in some sun and cool off. Rolling in around noon, the parking lot was surprisingly empty, giving us high hopes for a day of zero lines and endless rides. Of course, a theme park day always comes with a few twists. Here is the summary of our day--the good, the bad, and the delicious. Security screening felt a bit random. While my wife's sandwiches were cleared without an issue, my cousin's chips were a strict no-go. I also forgot I had a tiny Bluetooth speaker clipped to our bag; security let us bring it in, but requested we keep it off (fair enough--no one wants to hear someone else's playlist!). We initially scored a nice shady spot, but the sun moves fast and the shade vanished within an hour! Luckily, we stumbled upon a total "secret spot" to hang out for the rest of the day. (Want the inside scoop? Follow us and drop a DM on Instagram @advntrbums_mb or visit www.advntrbums.com to find out where it is, plus get more of our favorite park tips! ) We purchased the Premium Food Pass (allowing a meal every 90 minutes) and set phone timers to maximize our windows. Our first meal of pizza and breadsticks was decent but a little dry. However, the cheeseburger and fries meals were a massive hit. We ordered three of them throughout the day, and our 11-year-old son chose the burger every single time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The park left the condiments out in the scorching sun (nobody wants warm ranch!). Worse, the fine print failed to mention that desserts were excluded. We saved our last food window for a funnel cake, only to be denied at the counter. The staff couldn't explain the policy, which wasted 30 minutes of our ride time. The Big Winners: Tornado was beautifully terrifying--my son and I rode it twice, both taking turns going down the drop backwards! The Honolulu Half-Pipe (the "Blue Taco" ride) was also a massive hit for an 11-year-old. The Water Slides: On the Four-Slide Tower, the Orange Slide had two solid drops and the Yellow Slide was plenty of fun. We skipped the White Slide, and the Blue Slide was closed. Breakpoint Plunge was awesome, and Splash Water Island was a blast to explore. Pools & Rivers: Caribbean Cove won points for having genius in-water benches. The Lazy River was a great length (despite a little floating debris), but Breaker Beach (the wave pool) felt like it was operating at only half-power. We had to skip Big Kahuna entirely due to a massive line and a slow tube-loading system. The biggest drawback was ride efficiency. The staff lacked a smooth system for loading and unloading, making wait times much longer than necessary. Additionally, the restroom cleanliness wasn't up to par for a Six Flags park, and we noticed quite a few ants hanging out around the food shack. Between the line inefficiencies, warm condiments, and the dessert pass surprise, the park layout easily sat at a 2-star rating. However, the sheer amount of smiles, laughs, and pure excitement from the kiddos boosted our final score to a 3 out of 5 stars. Would we go back? Surprisingly, yes. When the California heat is beaming down, you just need a place to jump in and cool off. Hurricane Harbor did exactly what we needed it to do: it kept our family refreshed and making memories together. Until the next adventure, stay cool!

We had a great time at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord and it's a fun place to bring family and friends. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, although at times it felt like some areas could have been run a little more efficiently. The biggest downside was the cost of food and drinks, which were very expensive. The restroom facilities could also use more attention and maintenance to improve the overall guest experience. Despite those issues, we still had a great day and enjoyed the attractions. We will definitely be coming back!

Everything went well but this one worker at the typhoon, I couldn't get her first name but her last name was like aurojo? Plain rude. People pay money coming to see and feel what they want to ride and her as a worker/ guidance to the 4 slides. She wouldn't like when someone said they wanted to go on yellow, very manipulative when someone participated to using the white or blue slide, would act passive aggressively sarcastic. My friend needed to go on the slide with someone and so I had my partner go instead of me because I did not want to deal with her attitude again. OTHER THAN THAT, The park is really fun and I would go again.

Omg idk why this place has such bad reviews it's not horrible Pretty chill ideal for kids the tube rental is hella expensive it should be 15 or 20 with a $5-10 refund if returned .I can imagine it not being enjoyable on a crowded day just come on an off day or early morning

DANGER, DANGER, DANGER.......I like rough places, but not with the fam. Wave pool was super crowded w/ thugs backing up trying to catch a feel (CREEPER)...i wouldn't let the wife or kids go alone. There was also a drunk guy float beyond the bayous w/staff giving multiple warnings - incident waiting to happen. -line was super long w/only a single worker just kicking it. Feels like a free for all.... -multiple location to stay hydrated is cool. Line wasn't too bad there. Food suck - not very tasty and kind of high dollars for what ur getting... -OVERALL: season pass includes the six flags near by seem like a good deal, but u get what u pay for...probably will stay cool outside of the hood from here on out....

Can you use to Six Flags season pass at Hurricane Harbor?

I have a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom seasons pass and we are able to use it.

Do they allow outside foods and drinks into the park?

Yes, you can bring outside food and drinks in. No alcohol. You can not bring in a hard cover cooler unless you rent a cabana. They will take your alcohol and dump it,you will not be able to take it back to your car. So just leave it in your hard…

What's the current hours and days ? There website says different from google. Tried calling. Just a machine

    It's open daily starting 6/11/22 & open from 10:30am-6pm I believe

Can I bring a wagon inside?

Yes wagons are allowed you will have to go through extra security.

2021 season passes, when do they expire? Everything just says the end of the season but what day is that officially?

Online it says Sunday, October 3rd. Discovery Kingdom is open until the end of the year, so the pass still works there even if Hurricane Harbor is closed.

Ice Chests and food are allowed in right?

They're not, but I think you could get away with a sandwich or chips in your backpack anyways. I've mostly seen people with ice chests eating in the parking lot (I'm assuming before they go in, since the employees say there's no re-entry).

Can you bring your own food post covid?

Soft coolers. Seen a family bring a bag full of hamburgers

Is it OK for two adults to go without kids or is this place designed only for families with kids I don't want to feel awkward?

No kids needed, plenty of adult rides. :)

    Is this open?

Yes! It is open from 10:30am - 6pm

Can I wear a water proof fanny pack on the rides?

Depends on how far it sticks out. Some Fanny don't stick out enough to be noticeable and others stick out enough to get caught on something

WTH CLOSED TODAY FRIDAY AUG 16 days open on Yelp? Website says open on weekends only but phone message says closed til May, people come from long ways very annoying which is it?????? Can somebody shed some light

According to the Six Flags app, they are now closed for the weekdays.

Hello; does anyone know when the season closes for 2019? I tried looking online at the calendar but it would not process past July, not sure if that means they close after 7/31. Thanks!!

Is there spots to set up a small tent or a shaded area? Are we able to bring food & drinks in? Any recommendations?? Thankyou

They have shaded area all over the park, i don't know about allowing tents in, for sure no food.

    Can we bring hydro flask?

    Yes!

Can we bring wagons inside the park?

Yes you can... I've seen families with wagons

Free tubes available for the lazy river or you have to rent them all the time?

Rent them $8 per single tube

Do they have a lazy river?

    Yes, always

Is there a shaded picnic area by the parking lot?

    It isn't shaded.

I would like to find anyone who has rented a cabana. Are they disabled accessible? Shady?

    Yes and yes.

A couple of suggestions. Read the rules. It is clear that outside food or drink are not allowed. Neither are street clothes, as they are a safety hazard in public or shared pools. If people sneak stuff in without the staff knowing, then that is on them. I have seen people be asked to leave for sneaking alcohol in. I have never seen the staff there demand anyone throw anything away. They offer to let you walk it back to your car. Again, had you read the rules, you would have known this. In order to keep facilities like these affordable, the rules must be enforced. The insurance rates will sky rocket when there are claims because someone got hurt by a drunk patron. I used to work in Government, and this is the case with all facilities. Also, the wave has a lot of young people working there in their first job. They are learning how to work and be adults, show them some kindness. Lastly, please take an English class. As a Hispanic, I have worked hard to overcome people's negative viewpoints about us being uneducated and ignorant. Your review doesn't help in that regard.

The facility was extremely crowded, and several of the rides and attractions were closed, which left fewer things available for everyone who was there. There also were not enough places to sit while waiting for the closed attractions to reopen. The lifeguards did not come across as particularly friendly or patient with the kids, which affected the overall experience. I understand that staff members have to enforce safety rules, especially when the facility is busy, but the communication could have been more welcoming. The kids still had some fun, but the crowds, closures, limited seating, and service made the visit less enjoyable than it could have been. This place has potential for a family outing, but I would recommend checking what is open before visiting and going during a less crowded time.

The larger water slides were closed, which was the main reason we wanted to come here but didn't get to experience. Had they mentioned on their website that the slides were not available, we would have planned a different day or brought younger kids instead of the big kids. The cabanas were not held down by anything and it was a windy day, I almost got hit by the cabana flying. Maybe have them closed and when someone does purchase it is when you would open them up for the guest. I don't know if people really reserved any cabanas but a few were being used but closer to closing time so I don't think they really reserved them and people just sat there since it isn't getting checked in my opinion. I don't miss like that bathrooms are available in the front and back of the park. The front bathrooms in the check in area have lockers and showers. There is also a bathing suit spin dryer. It seems for the lockers that if you bring your own pad lock you can store your things if needed. It's great they allow you to bring in food but not in coolers but bagged food take out is ok. There is also food available for purchase in the back. Treats and desserts in the front middle of the water park. Parking is shared with the community building not close to the entrance. So for my disabled friends like me, we had to walk even from a disabled parking spot. The park does provide tables and chairs. The cement picnic tables in front are near the treats vendor store. I don't recall what type of tables are in the back near the food but there were more there and by the kid's splash pad area. I would like to return when the large slides are open but I call next year and find out till then.

We felt comfortable allowing our children (ages 11 and 8) to walk around the park and return to our bungalow on their own because the area felt safe and well-managed. We especially appreciated having a dedicated host assigned to us. Rylan did an excellent job throughout the day. He was communicative, professional, friendly, and genuinely concerned about ensuring we had a positive experience. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Overall, we can see that the park has made adjustments to better meet guests' needs. For example, the use of QR codes and digital ordering options made food purchases more convenient. One improvement we would love to see in the future is the automatic application of seasonal passholder discounts when guests are signed in and ordering through the QR code system. Since our account information is already connected, this would make the process more seamless. We did encounter an issue with the food. We ordered several pizzas for our group, and unfortunately they arrived undercooked and doughy. As a result, much of the pizza went to waste, and we had to order additional food. We shared this concern with a member of the management team, who was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name, as I do not believe he was wearing a name tag. The pool area was very well managed. We felt our children were safe, and there appeared to be an adequate number of staff members actively monitoring the swimming areas. We appreciate the attention given to guest safety. We do believe a dress code should be enforced to better align with the family-oriented environment of the establishment. Overall, we had a great time and appreciate the efforts being made to enhance the guest experience. We look forward to returning in the future.
