I went in without reading any reviews and with no knowledge of what this park was like. Overall I left somewhat disappointed. The main reasons for this are the length of the lines and the price of the (low quality) food. All the slides had 20-30 minute waits and on this not warm and windy day we froze while waiting. It looks like they have torn down one of the main slide structures it made the other ones more packed. The food was super basic slices of pizza or a pathetic cheeseburger for almost 20 bucks each. On the positive side the slides are pretty good when you actually get on them and the entry fee is super reasonable. I did find the place to be pretty clean too. My kids had a good time so we will probably try it again, maybe on a weekday when it's less busy. read more

Been over a decade since I been to a water park. This was semi reasonable deal for me, I got the half off price online. Its a small park with about 6 water slides a wave pool and a lazy river, both of which are 3 feet of water so those were lame. The lines were super short because it was a cooler day in May & the start of the summer season. The only slide closed was Big Kahuna. We had fun forsure but it was freezing cold water with the wind. Staff & life guards were abundant & seemed to be taking the job seriously despite them being super young. The parking lot a large piece of asphalt which could reach of 115 degrees ,no shade in the parking lot at all. Very little shade inside the park as well. If you don't go super early, you will have to sit in the sun all day long and the walking paths are hot as the parking lot definitely wear river shoes otherwise it is unbearable. It is overcrowded overpriced, and the water is very murky if you dip your head under in the lazy river, you can't see more than 2 feet in front of you, that in itself is scary, could it be sunblock or bacteria? Wish I could do less than 1 star. Hour long wait for every ride, hour long wait just to get a beer and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. Also get a locker because we weren't going to then we saw a bunch of unsupervised teenagers by our stuff security wasn't paying attention to. Put our valuables in a locker and left our bags and went we got back all our bags were ransacked and rummaged through. Just really an unenjoyable experience overall. read more

This place was terrible. All the slides except for 2 of them were closed. We had 7 girls and they wanted to leave after one time down the slide. They said the line took half an hour and the slide itself was disappointing. The cabana rental is also a joke. $325 for a cabana- no towels or anything included. We waited in line forever for food and finally just packed it up and left to find food nearby. I don't know what happened to this place! I have a lot to say about this park. First things first park entry was not checking tickets and people were sneaking in. Poor security for the park and people were basically just walking in. Second we are in line for the family raft and people are constantly cutting the line and causing a whole scene with security. We bought a refill cup and there was no ice for the whole day. We went on the family raft again before we left and 15 kids cut the line in-front of me and my family and security trying to get them out made us wait an extra 30 minutes at least. Then as we were leaving and trying to go to our lockers 2 grown men were fighting and causing a whole scene while in with my 3 year old niece. The bathrooms disgusting and had a weird overflow on the floor. Overall the park was ghetto and not a family friendly environment I would not recommend to anyone looking to have a fun time I was greatly disappointed with this park as I have always had good experiences with the six flags. read more

We are appalled. While the price without a season price was affordable, we now know why. The lines for food took over an hour, and then we found out that the menu they showed us was wrong and way too expensive. A small burger for $19.99? That's smaller than a burger from In-N-Out. A slice of pizza for $17.99? It's about the size of a Costco slice. And if you want a beer, they tell you they don't have any, even though it's on the menu. What a letdown. Save your money and find somewhere else to eat. The lines for everything are crazy long! It's like going to Disneyland. Every slide takes over an hour to wait in line! Why? Because many slides are closed, and they don't have enough tubes for everyone. The park is also very dirty. For a Six Flags park, that's really disappointing. We thought arriving when it opened would help us find cleaner water and a tidier park, but we were wrong. There was trash and paper towels floating in the Lazy River, and cigarette butts in the Wave Pool. You also have to pay to rent tubes, but then they won't even let you use them in the Wave Pool? So you can only float in the Lazy River? That's frustrating. Everyone working there looks miserable and doesn't seem to care about the customers. Believe all the one star ratings, this is a terribly run establishment! The Cabana rentals are false advertisement, there are no ceiling fans, no storage container, no access to exclusive snacks. Got an online deal for season passes and started taking the family a few times over the past couple months. Out of our visits we had lots of fun with the slides and attractions. However, there are serious issues with this park. They -don't take cash, -charge a service charge on every overpriced purchase, -charge $18 for a slice of pizza, -and the food lines get way too long (daughter waited in one for 40 min. and still didn't get to place an order0. I would recommend leaving the park to eat or bringing your own food. We saw many people bringing in large bags of food and drinks. read more

Ya it's a 1 star, but here's my reasoning, and here's where they can improve (in my opinion). First off, walking into the joint made me feel like I was about to catch a flight... the metal detectors and the metal detector for baggage that greets you at the entrance of the park just really gives off a ghetto vibe. The security guards, I know they work hard, but their image needs to be cleaned up, a lot. How about making them all look uniform, creating a respectable standard that looks like they mean business rather than the image that they get paid a minimum wage and they can't afford a neat uniform. The paint- shit... I'd have a contractor come in there and repaint every inch of that place. The look of the paint looks out-dated. They need to stop charging for float rafts for the lazy pool. Just let it be, let people fend for themselves. Keep the float rafts in the lazy River and have people stop bringing them all over the property. Like they did in the original water world. Stop selling booze there, it's $20 for a beer, which I get, but make it a family resort and take the booze out. It'll simplify the rif-raf toward the end of the day. I did see some good things tho, the staff at the rides were attentive, they were squared away. The lead security guard- female, didn't catch her name, was sweet. Very professional. The reason for the 1-star is because of the rif-raf that was there and the image this place gives off. I'm trying to be fair here, I really am, but after spending an arm and a leg there, and the fact we waited over an hour and a half for mediocre food, at best, was a reason I will not be coming back. read more

Ok I think I need to start with the bad first: THE RESTAURANT LINES ARE A NIGHTMARE. There were people who said they stood in line for 90 minutes to order chicken fingers, and I believe it! I stood in line for 20 minutes before realizing I was gonna wait all day and decided to get out of line. At a different restaurant line, they had no soda machines (even tho sodas were on the menu to order at that stand!). My goodness, WHAT A MESS! Now for the good--this water park is very large and spread out. (Another negative tho, is there is hardly enough seating for everyone). The wave pool, yes, I guess it had "waves," but the waves are TINY. The lazy river is a major plus, though. And there are two "kid areas," one for little tots, and one for bigger kids with slides of all sizes. I went with my 5yo who was afraid to try any large slides, but he had a lot of fun doing the small slides. Temper your expectations when coming! If you have someone in your party who doesn't mind waiting in line for food while the rest can explore the water, that's probably the best way to do it. It's been ages since I've been here. I use to hold a season pass throughout middle and high school. Boy did I have great memories here with my best friends. I have to admit I completely discredited this place from the reviews which made me apprehensive to bringing my own kids here. I was sooo wrong. I visited here yesterday, 6/23/2024 and I'm so glad I did. This park is so much better than raging waters. Hurricane harbor six flags park is very clean. Sure you can't control the type of people that come to the park but diversity is nice. My siblings arranged a day for a crowd of us to gather to enjoy good food and quality time with our kids. It was hot out but water temperatures were cold and easy to acclimate with. Lines are long for food but worthy of the wait. 10AM is nutso outside with no crowd control. There's not enough employees to handle the number of guests arriving at this time. The purpose of arriving early as park opens is to reserve decent shady spots and beach (lawn) chairs. My family and I arrived at 12:30-1PM and entrance was such a breeze. Bathrooms are a bit messy but it's expected for a water park. Bring your own wipes and sanitizer to cleanse in between. Parking is also a breeze if you buy the year round pass. Parking spaces however are tiny. Tiny to the point of needing to allow passengers to de board before parking. Workable but ehhh sketchy. Sketchy especially if you want to protect your car from dings and unbenevolent people. Overall, 4/5 stars. I can't wait to use the crap out of our platinum season passes. Yippee!! read more

The lines for the few remaining slides are long. Tubes must be rented for lazy river and they don't have a working air compressor to inflate more doubles when they run out. Save your time, gas, and money don't come here! I have season passes and already wrote a review for Six Flags Vallejo which was terrible so I was trying to be optimistic for the water park. I got there at 11:30, only 30 mins after it opened. The chairs are all in the sun, you have to rent tubes for the lazy river?! I've never been somewhere that didn't include tubes for that attraction, might as well call it the river... no lazy thing about it. Hardly any shade, I have the dining pass and was using the app to figure out where to eat. Well, I got to one place that I like said it has tacos, carnitas, and all types of Mexican food options. I walk up and it said chicken sandwich and chicken salad!! I leave and go to another spot which the app says has hot dogs, NOPE that changed to just snack food such as pretzels and nachos! So I leave AGAIN! to another spot that had the "giant hot dogs" it's literally the same size as a retailer hot dog. And half of one was burnt which my son won't eat and the bread was hard and crunchy! The ONLY place with plenty of options such as chicken fingers and burgers with some other items had a HUGE line that didn't move. All the staff were rude and not helpful. My son is 50 inches tall based on the last time he went to the doctor, and they claimed he was too short for the 48 inches rides!!! Which pretty much took away all ride options for him. The wave pool was weak for teens/ adults but for kids it's great. There were 2 kid areas where the water dumps down and had the smaller slides which was nice for my son but very boring. Multiple rides and one regular pool was closed! Overall the food options are TERRIBLE! I suggest packing an ice chest to go out and eat by the car and then come back in. As for renting a tube be prepared to fork out $20-$25 and fry in the sun with no shade. I DO NOT suggest season passes for any Six Flags Parks and do not come to this water park. Extremely not too happy with the communication of the employees. I was told beforehand that at the closing of the hours they would find an item for me that was lost. Waited an hour after closing to find out that the "employee who can sweep the area was not there." I don't understand why it would take an hour after closing to find that information out. Leave it to our luck that our scheduled picnic & water park day lands on the coolest and windiest day of the month so far. Lol Overall we had a great time at Hurricane Harbor. We got to enjoy the reserved picnic area of Luau Cove as our trip was with a group reservation. Lunch included hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, watermelon and potato salad. I craved more Of a salad bar ( I eat keto) but thankfully the hamburger toppings seemed to be sufficient. The shredded iceberg lettuce and slices of tomato (along with ranch packets available) were enough to satisfy me with a burger patty and hot dog. My husband was pleasantly surprised by the good flavor of the hot dogs from the grill. Drinks were provided throughout the day, and lunch being included made for a cost effective day of fun! It was nice to have a designated quiet space to get away to and store our things at as well. I take away 1 star primarily for the following reasons 1. Some staff was friendly than others. 2. There were multiple ride malfunctions (stuff happens) I only wish that instead of staff members weaving through the line constantly that someone would've communicated to us that the ride was having difficulties so we weren't left waiting in the lurk 3. There's lots of droppings from the surrounding trees (seed pods, pine needles, micro size pinecones, ect) covering the walkways and entrances to rides. I wish that they would sweep or blow these before the opening of park each day. When you can't take shoes on the rides and are walking around barefoot it's less than pleasant to be stepping on all the tree droppings. Overall our experience with friends and family was enjoyable so I still give the day a 4 out of 5 stars. But, there's definitely some room for improvement and I hope management considers implementing customer service protocol and pre opening duties accordingly. read more

I recently visited Six flags Hurricane Harbor on a Tuesday, the last weekday they were open for the season! I am a season pass holder at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom with the particular pass that allows you to get into all of the Six Flags parks worldwide including water parks. For only $19.99 a month to get my admission, 2 meals and a snack, free parking and access too all the Six flags parks I think it's worth it! Overall I enjoyed coming to this park as it's included in my Six flags season pass. I'd definitely come back next summer as well! It's still as fun as I remember it being back when it used to be Water World, even though I've only been a few times over the years. I'd say it's worth getting the pass for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom if you plan on going there and here at least once a year cause the value I think pays off. I came early in the day shortly after the park had opened, I got a locker I think it was around $15 for the small size. Then I got an inner tube which I was a bit disappointed to see that they charge you for. I think it should be included with admission price. I got the single tube for $15 with a $1 discount with my season pass making it $14. Make sure and keep your receipt cause people will try and steal your tube. I had been reapplying sunscreen and had to chase down a man who took my tube. Later on I saw some teen boys who were trying to steal a families tubes while they also were applying sunscreen. I think if it would be included in admission this wouldn't be such a problem here. The lazy River was nice however since not everyone buys a tube a lot of people walk/swim in it. And a lot of flowers from trees above had fallen into the river. And it did end up getting quite crowded even though it was a Tuesday. I ended up going home around 2 or so and found a random family that didn't have an inner tube and gave them mine when I was leaving so that someone else could enjoy it without having to pay. For food I decided to get the brat sandwich cause I saw in YouTube videos people enjoyed it. And it was pretty good, nice to have a different option than just chicken strips and burgers. It also came with a bag of chips too so I'd say that was a good value for the cost. It was included in my six flags season pass meal plan too so I didn't have to pay for it. For my passes snack I decided to go and get an elote which was also tasty and they made sure and put plenty on the corn! Merchandise, they have a cute lil shop in the front where they sell towels, flip flops, swimsuits, tshirts, sunscreen etc. The prices are decent for an amusement park! I like to check them out and get cute hats or things like that. They even had some necklaces for $7.99 that looked just like the van cleef ones lol. We rented a cabana for my sons 10th birthday ($252) and we had an amazing time. We arrived early and enjoyed our whole day there. We knew no coolers were allowed but they did let us bring a beach bag in with waters sodas chips & cookies. IT GOES THROUGH AN X-RAY Machine inspection so be careful bringing in other stuff. Outside floats are not allowed you can only rent a single for $15 or a double for $20 for the day. The only reason why not 5 stars is because their machine for food order payment did not work so we weren't able to get the food service that came with the cabana rental and did not want to wait over an hour waiting in line. Overall we loved it the staff was super kind, so sad to see the other reviews, I hope they give them another chance. We loved it! read more

Came here today to spend a couple of hours with my husband and our two young daughters age 5 and 20 months and had a better than expected experience. We arrived at 2 and left a little before 5. The young staff, everyone from the parking attendants to the life guards and the food service workers, seemed well trained, patient and took their jobs seriously. Good job guys! We spent the majority of the time at Breaker Beach and Caribbean Cove. There was lots of parking available and ample seating even late in the day. The park was busy but not crowded. Hopefully it stays that way. Stood inline for 5-10 mins to get our Season Drink bottle around 430 PM. Exiting the park was easy even around the time everyone was leaving. I didn't give a full 5 stars because we bought diamond passes and as far as I could tell there was no difference in access or discounts. FYI, the season passes are still on sale. You could snag a Gold pass I think for $60 right now. Also, we were thinking about purchasing dinning passes, but some of the food vendors don't honor the dinning pass/ take the diamond pass discount. Even if you do have the dinning pass, not all food items offered at the park are included. Not a huge disappointment since it was such a short visit. I hate this place for so many reasons I never write reviews, let alone negative ones, but this is clearly the worst water park experience I've ever had in my entire life. I typically try to stay positive and optimistic, but even that was nearly impossible here, and I can't help but report it. Thankfully my mom complained to the staff when we left and got free tickets for another time, however, after this shockingly terrible experience, we most likely won't be coming back to Hurricane Harbor. Pros: My friends enjoyed the lazy river. Cons: I came with my mom, and two of my friends on Monday, August 5, 2024 at about 12:00 p.m. Despite it being a Monday, it was still very crowded. The entrance fee would normally cost $70 per person, but today was discounted (idk why) and it only cost $35. However, my lovely mom still spent a total of $140, simply on entrance fees alone. Also, my mom wanted lunch, so she bought a hotdog and a bag of Doritos, which cost $25. At that same time, my friends and I were craving Icees, which cost $10 a piece. My wonderful friend was kind enough to buy all of our Icees, which cost her a little bit over thirty dollars, which is quite expensive. A good thing to note is that if you don't buy a lounge or a cabana, you get stuck on a tiny field of grass (which is directly out in the sun with no shade whatsoever) with a couple lawn chairs. A decent amount of the rides required a double inner tube, which cost $20. Since we wanted to actually ride the rides while we were here, we went to go buy one, even though was stupidly expensive (especially considering that you are renting it for they day. $20 and you don't even get to keep it??) However, they had none left. How is this place still up and running? No idea. My mom ended up renting a $10 single tube for the lazy river. Almost all of the rides were closed. ONLY TWO WERE OPEN. At this point we'd already spent $205, and you'd think for all that you'd at least be able to ride more than two of the rides. And the only two that were open were these terrifying, death defying rides that I most definitely do not trust with my safety. The only one we even attempted to go on was the Big Kahuna. I didn't trust the wooden structure with wobbling stairs, and there were cracks in the slides that were leaking. So, I decided not to attempt it. My friends did though, and somehow they made it all of the top before they completely shut down the ride for the day because the conveyor belt for the tubes you ride on broke for the sixth time in the last 30 minutes. Let's talk about the wave pool. The waves were about 6 inches high. I'm not even joking. The waves also weren't on 90%. Why? I have no idea. There was also a 2 foot long clump of literal trash floating around in the wave pool. It was amazing how stupid this wave pool had proved itself to be. Now let's talk about the lazy river. To begin, the water was infested with flowers. Which may sound nice and pretty, but everywhere you went there would be a 4 foot long clump of dead flowers floating around. It got deeper as you went through, but it was literally 3 feet deep at its deepest point. So disappointing. The point is, don't come here. Ever. read more

Where to begin.... TLDR I don't write negative reviews very often (hardly ever) but this park ranks on my lowest of low experiences. I can usually see the best in situations, but I guess I'm still so shocked at how poorly Hurricane Harbor is/was managed and I can't help but report on this. This was the only time we had been to HH and we won't be going back. Pros: my kids liked the Splash Water Island. Cons: My group arrived on a Sunday morning 6/23/24 at about 10:45am thinking that arriving after the start time would help us enter faster - wrong. We waited in the heat for around 40 mins in line. My brother had graciously rented a "premium" Calypso cabana (for $325) near the wave pool, and we figured (as with other water parks) that if you rent a cabana, you get to check-in at the front early and head straight to the cabana spot in the park - wrong. We had no priority check-in which is a joke considering how much it costs. One thing to note right away - everyone had to walk through a metal detector that wasn't being monitored. At all. We could have walked in with weapons, and no one would have noticed. It felt so unsafe. The cabana was supposed to have a fan, storage locker, access to a snack shack, and access to the wave pool - wrong. None of those things happened. It was a nice looking pergola with some nice chairs - but no fan, no storage, and incredibly inconveniently located within the park because you could not access the wave pool (literally right in front of us) because the ladder down to the pool had a "no access" sign in front of it. The lifeguard said it was for water rescues only (?) which I doubted was true. No one would choose to hoist a person up a ladder like that when rescuing them (in 3-foot-deep water). As far as the park goes - we noticed right away that no one was in the water (at this point it was after 11am). Why? Because (as the lifeguards explained) there weren't enough lifeguards to man the pools.. literally they weren't at their posts so people had to wait a full hour after the park opened to even touch the wave pool. How is that possible? The park opens at 10:30am. We all stood there in the heat looking at the water thinking about how expensive the tickets and cabana were... not able to get into the ACTUAL water!? We had come for a work-related event which was held in a covered picnic table section near the entrance of the park. The tables were dusty as if they hadn't been used in months. When we arrived we immediately stood in line for food - which was to accommodate 275 guests. Entering the food court was immediately disappointing. No A/C, it felt hot and cramped. There were to be hotdogs and hamburgers, with toppings and ice cream. My daughter wanted a hotdog so she grabbed a bun and waited for the hotdogs, which had run out. We never did see more hotdogs even though we waited and waited. There was no ice for the drinks until someone from the company complained. How is this place even up and running? Then there were the hoards of people streaming into the park. Is there an occupancy cap? Fire code? People were tripping over each other in the heat looking for shade - I don't think I'd seen that many people in a park at once. It truly felt unsafe. If there was an emergency, it would have been a disaster. Half the rides weren't open. HALF. For maintenance. Half of the lifeguard's jobs were to keep people out and away from the rides. Again, for the price you pay, you would think that maybe one ride could be out - but half of them? We never attempted to ride any open rides due to the 1-2 hour wait times. The wave pool? Three feet deep and the waves were about 6-10 inches high. I'm not even kidding. People were just standing around knee to waist high looking for waves. It was comical. The lazy river? White murky water (you can't see your feet) which I HOPE is filled with chlorine because I don't want to think about what else it's filled with. The river was so crowded you could barely move without hitting someone. Also, there are these unexpected drop-offs in the river - so you're walking along (because who can afford a $25 inner tube) and you stub your toes falling a foot down every 20 yards. It's bonkers. The bathrooms looked like a bomb had gone off (toilet seats on the floor - toilet paper littering the floor) and why only one restroom near the entrance?? My word limit is up here - and I could keep writing a book about this place... bottom line.. wait for new management before going. read more

Always great fun! I love that they allow re-entry, with prices being what they are, I bring lunch for my family and leave it in the ice chest in the car. We're able to play for a few hours, go out to eat, and then return for a couple more hours of fun! The Lazy River is a family favorite. It does get busy at times, but what can you do? read more
