This is only about the day pass for the water park. First, you enter the hotel area but just keep walking past the lobby and keep going past the restaurants until you see the Adventure Park, take a left around the Adventure Park and you'll see the check-in for the Water Park. If you miss it, the people that can wrist bands at the water park will direct you. Once you're inside, far right are the changing rooms, rest rooms, and lockers. $18 for a small one. The wave pool wasn't working the day we went which was a bummer. Smaller in size but seemed cool. However, there are multiple slides and rides that were all good. Seems like the water slides all use salt water, and the pool outside is chlorinated. There's a bar, dippin dots, and a pretzel based place and a burger place inside for food and drink. No water bottle refill that we found but you can refill at the drink stations. For good rides, the family one (right biggest staircase when you face the left from the entrance) will let you on Sequoia Splash or River Canyon Run. The former is at the top to the right, and River Canyon Run is to the left. RCR is much tamer as a slide, but both have a 250 lb per person limit and 700 lb total limit. They weigh you before you get on so don't attempt to get on without that. The smaller body slides all run a lot of water flow so don't worry about getting slowed down or anything. Great water fun! Definitely will come again! They are big on safety, and have lifeguards posted everywhere, and they seem to rotate areas every 30 minutes. No running and they are super cautious about what goes on. Very helpful when asked about any questions. One more thing: You can pay for your parking ($20) when they check tickets. Make sure you keep that wristband. Also, the entire park is cashless so make sure you have payment via your phone or a card handy! Have fun!

Memorable water slide experience! We had a wonderful experience sliding through many slides seaperatly and some together. The endless river was fun chasing them as well as them chasing me. Watching then play water basketball, the wave pool and the kitty play area. It was exhausting and satisfying. The Kid talked about it for days.

Came with our kids and had an overall great time. We didn't interact with too many staff members, a lot of things were automated. Check-in was smooth, our room was clean and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the water park, adventure rope course, the arcade, mirror maze and the outdoor pool. Food was okay, it's mostly fast food options. Overall, it was a positive experience and I could see us coming back again in the future.

We had an incredible experience at this place! We stayed in the Wolf Suite, which can comfortably sleep six people, but since there were only three of us, it felt very spacious. We got it for $270 on a Friday night. Our check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM, but we were able to get into our room early at 3:15 PM.The water park is super cool and has slides for all ages. My toddler had the best time in the wave pool. The artificial waves start with the sound of a wolf howling, which everyone loved. There are also bigger slides that are thrilling enough to scare--and excite--an adult. Throughout our stay, the staff was super nice.Dining at the Barnwood restaurant was a great experience as well. My burger and Manhattan were delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her pasta. The vibe was slightly upscale yet completely family-friendly at the same time.

Disgusting hotel. They put us in a room where the windows was covered with a ton of bird shit! No discounts or accommodations per manager!! Who goes on vacation and pay a lot of money fir a room where you can't enjoy the view!! The outside pools' water was literally cloudy and looked nasty! You would think they would take time to test the water even for health reasons. Smh... Truly a dump!

My kids had the best time! I have two boys (11 and 7), and we went for my 7-year-old's birthday. I always said I'd never take them to Great Wolf Lodge, but my April baby always wants a "pool" party--and it's usually cold or rainy--so I gave in. Prices were actually reasonable, so we booked Sunday-Tuesday. Check-in lines were long, but the self-serve kiosk was quick and easy. We got wristbands for the room and water park and headed straight to the pool. It was packed Sunday around 5 p.m., which was expected, so we stayed a couple hours and went back to the room. Food inside the hotel was either closed or overpriced, but the location is great--about 0.5 miles from Panda Express, Chili's, Costco, La Estrella (amazing Mexican food), and more. We ate at Chili's. Parking is $20/day. You can use the water park from check-in day through checkout, which is awesome. My 11-year-old loved the Howlers Peak Ropes Course. My 7-year-old and I tried it, but he got scared at the top--staff helped him down right away. I don't blame him, it's high! I only did the first level, but my 11-year-old did the second level three times. My 7-year-old also loved the arcade. Most attractions cost extra, but there are decent deals. The only ones I wouldn't do again are mini golf and bowling--they're very small and just okay. We had the unlimited family pass, so we used them anyway. Best part: the slides! I'm 32 and my husband is 34, and we had just as much fun as the kids. Big or small, all the slides were a blast. Honestly, one of our favorite family vacations. The room (Grizzly Suite) was clean and spacious for 3 adults and 2 kids. Beds weren't super comfortable, but that's typical. Cleanliness mattered most. Checkout was easy via text, but double-check your bill--they tried to charge us $60 for "missing" towels we returned. A quick call got it refunded, but I can see how others might miss that. Overall, we'll likely be back within the next year.

I LOVE the concept of a hotel, arcade, ice cream parlor, restaurants,, rope course, mini golf, indoor waterpark and attractions all in one building. The hotel is big! So many rooms here. I booked the 6 person room which has 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa bed. pretty good size. This place is meant for young children, I would say 3-12 years old. Many MANY families. parking is an additional cost, even if you stay overnight at the hotel. wear the wristband on your left wrist so it's easier to reach the machine when entering/exiting. we sure used the in/out privilege to go out for dinner outside of GWL. Better food and prices outside. Expect higher costs inside the park for very basic food (burger, ice cream, fries, continental breakfast). Waterpark- -grab a chair EARLY in the morning. It's soo hard to find an open seat to even put your stuff. many chairs are regular low chairs (does not lean back), super crowded and close together with strangers. -It's super packed in the waterpark! Wave pool and lazy river have just too many people bumping into each other. Spent only minimal time in there and had to get out. not enjoyable. -Slides are fun! Some build up speed and go pretty fast! -locker room has shower, toilets, and dry changing booths. was clean. -outdoor waterpark only open for summer. went in winter and imagined it would have been so nice to have the extra lounge chairs that were outdoors. sure needed it.

    Deluxe Kids Cabin Suite 2/24/2025

My family & I just came back to this location & it was a much better experience. We stayed on a Tuesday night & it was way less crowded. We booked a double room kids cabin with bunks & 2 adjoining rooms. Upon check-in I made sure to kindly ask that we were not placed in the same rooms as our last visit (we got terrible sleep due to employee noise outside our windows last time) the team member at check in told me that they in fact did have us booked to stay in the same rooms we didn't want, but she was able to change our rooms in the system which was appreciated. Our rooms faced the North side of the resort facing Daniels Street & they were nice & quite to sleep in (but quite a ways from the elevators.) The 2 days we spent in the park (Tuesday & Wednesday) were awesome. The only slides that had any wait times were the big family 5 seater slides & we never waited more than 5 minutes (last trip in summer they were a 45 minute wait ) All the other slides had absolutely no wait & we could ride 10x in a row with no wait. The parking lot was only about 25% full so there was parking everywhere. Our kids had such a fun trip this time & we'll definitely be back. Our kids loved the gold panning experience right by the water park entrance, we bought 2 of the family size bags of pay dirt like $35 each & our kids found tons of cool gemstones, rocks, fossils, & shark teeth. The only downside to our trip was like the last 2 hours we were there there was a code brown (a kid pooped in the water) so the lazy river & the connected slides were shutdown for a while. We will definitely be coming again but will make sure it's mid week, not in the summer or close to a holiday. Thanks for having us again GWL

We celebrated my daughter's birthday at Great Wolf Lodge and it turned out to be one of those experiences the kids will talk about for a long time. We booked the deluxe cabin suite, which was perfect for a birthday sleepover -- bunk beds everywhere, tons of space, and the kids immediately felt like they were on a mini adventure. Having her two best friends stay the night made it extra special, and the layout worked really well for both kids and adults to have their own space without feeling crowded. The water park itself was a huge hit. There's enough variety that everyone found something they loved, from the bigger slides to the wave pool and all the smaller play areas. The kids basically ran nonstop the entire time, which is exactly what you want as a parent. One of the BEST decisions we made was renting a cabana. Total game changer. Having a dedicated space to regroup, stash belongings, relax for a few minutes, and not fight for chairs made the whole day so much more enjoyable. If you're going for a full day, I highly recommend it. We also had dinner at the restaurant onsite and were pleasantly surprised -- the half chicken was actually really good and a great option after a long day in the water park when nobody wants to leave the property. Service was friendly and patient with our very excited crew. And the nighttime dance party? Absolute chaos in the best way. So fun, so high-energy, and honestly one of those core memory moments watching the kids completely in their element. By the end of the day I had completely lost my voice from laughing, cheering, and trying to keep up with the excitement... which probably tells you everything you need to know about how much fun we had. Is it a splurge? Yes. But for a birthday or special occasion where you want built-in entertainment and memories without having to plan a million separate things, it's absolutely worth it.

We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca and overall the experience was mixed, but there were definitely some highlights. One thing we really loved is that the waterpark is indoors and heated, which makes it perfect no matter the weather. Being able to enjoy the pool without worrying about cold temperatures was a big plus, especially for kids. The biggest positive is that the kids had an amazing time. The waterpark is fun, exciting, and kept them entertained for hours with a great variety of slides, pools, and activities. There's always something going on, and from a child's perspective, it truly feels like a special and memorable getaway. However, there were some major downsides that took away from the overall experience. The bathrooms and locker room areas were disappointing -- they were often dirty, wet, and not well maintained, especially during busy times. For a place that revolves around water and hygiene, this was a big letdown. The food was another major issue. It is very overpriced for the quality and portions you receive. For families, the cost of meals and snacks adds up extremely fast, and there are limited affordable options on site. Long lines during peak hours only added to the frustration. The resort also gets very crowded, which is expected, but it makes cleanliness and food service problems more noticeable. While some staff members were friendly and helpful, it felt like the resort could use more employees to keep up with the volume of guests. Overall, Great Wolf Lodge is a fun place for kids, and they genuinely had a great time. We loved the indoor, heated waterpark, but the dirty bathrooms and overpriced food make it hard to fully justify the cost. With better cleanliness and more reasonable food pricing, this place could be much better.

This is a great place for the kids! I have a 4 and 7 year old and both had a lot of fun. They really enjoyed the water park and MagiQuest interactive adventure game. My 7 year old couldn't get enough of the MagiQuest game. We upgraded the magic wand which she really loved. Although it's an extra cost she enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Also the water park was fun. We enjoyed some drinks, food, and lazy river. I would recommend going early for good seating because it can get crowded around the good spots. Also it's worth going early the day of your arrival since them can give you your passes early. The basic rooms were ok. Next time we will try the themed rooms. The check in process wasn't as bad as mentioned in other reviews. Maybe they changed the process. Overall it's a great place for kids but it can he overwhelming if you're not ready for a bunch of kids running around.

This is a good place for small & young children who enjoy the water. Teens may enjoy the water slides but it does get crowded and there are not a lot of slides. Their lazy river is small, crowded, and not enough room for everyone to get an inflatable tube. Pros: Plenty of staff around pools and I always see them training and doing scenarios. Regardless, parents are ultimately responsible for those in their care but you always see some pretty young kids with little supervision. Since the majority of this is indoors, regardless of weather, you can still plan a visit. They have an outdoor area as well but it is not very large. I have only come during cooler months as I don't like the heat. Bowling alley, arcade, and adventure area but this is a double edged sword as it is costly and it adds up for a family. They have activities on site- keychain making, decorations with pipe cleaners and bells, PJ dance party (if you and your family are into that) Cons: Usually crowded on weekends and that means lines (for slides, food, and towels), lack of chairs for all. We arrived on Fri and Sat was way more crowded. I saw latecomers arrive only to find that all chairs were taken. Food is meh and okay at best. I decided to try the Pretzel & Hot Dog on a Stick restaurant on Saturday and they only had 2 employees working at 1pm and they were obviously overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the requests. My sandwich was messed up (requested no cheese and it still had cheese) and when I mentioned this, the employee stated she would have the one person cooking remake it and after about 10 minutes, I gave up. I asked for mini dogs as a substitution. The mini dogs were very bland and dough was underdone. Yuck. No thanks. Buckets had a longer line and wait time for food was even longer. Rooms are average and at least come with a sleeper sofa for larger parties. However, rooms should be furnished with a larger table to accommodate larger groups. It's only good for 2 (small table with 2 chairs). Staff were fine and parking lot was pretty full. For the price of a day pass, you are better off spending the night. Chlorine/chemical smell is very overwhelming as this is an enclosed space

Our first time here with the family was such a fun experience! The overall atmosphere is incredibly family-friendly. I took my girls to the children's events hosted in the lobby, and I honestly found myself enjoying my own inner child right alongside them. We absolutely loved the arts and crafts and the storytelling time. The room layout is also wonderful for families. Our room had a separate section for the kids featuring a bunk bed and a twin bed, which was beautifully split from the main bedroom area. It added such a nice, warm, and kid-friendly touch to our stay. The indoor water park itself is fantastic, though it did feel a bit musty and humid inside the pool area. Improved ventilation would definitely elevate the comfort level. During our visit, one of the toddler swimming areas (restricted to children under 40-45 inches) was closed. Unfortunately, my three-year-old was in that height range, so she missed out on the full experience there, though there were luckily other areas available for her to enjoy. The wave pool was great! I really appreciated that it wasn't too deep, which made it much easier and safer for someone of my height (4'11") to swim and wade around with my three-year-old daughter. Right next to the water park, the rest of the building has so much more to offer! They have amazing shops, fun obstacle courses, an awesome arcade, and great food options all conveniently located inside. It really keeps the kids entertained even when you're out of the water. The staff members were consistently friendly and attentive. On our way out in the morning, the housekeeping staff at every door warmly said good morning to us, which was such a sweet touch. I didn't carry my phone with me during our water park session to take photos, but the memories were worth it. This is definitely a place we would love to return to and make a family tradition moving forward! Rate: 8/10

Great Wolf Lodge - Manteca Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Great Wolf Lodge - Manteca

I have read about some rooms have cockroaches running around the bed and walls , have that issue been taken care off? Like disinfection and pest control?

We didn't have any issues of roaches and our room was very clean

What is the temperature of water? And what is the temperature of the Waterpark indoor space? Is it comfortable in winter for average person?

Yes it's pretty warm. The air in the enclosed water park is warm and humid.

Outside food allowed in water park? Is there places to eat in the area besides Costco?

Yes! I went to Costco to get all my food and brought it to my hotel room! :)

What time does check in starts?

    I believe 3:00 pm

How much is a day pass?

The water park was included in the room stay

Can I get more than one bag of coffee for the room? Or should I bring my own?

I'd contact the lodge but they may charge you for it.

Is there a door between the 2 rooms in the Deluxe Room Suite?

    Yes

Is there EV charging for electric vehicles?

    No EV chargers

    Do rooms have microwave?

No but they have microwave in the ice room every floor. One on each side.

    What time is check out?

11am, but you can keep using the facilities (like the water park) for the rest of the day.

Can we bring our emotional support pet? It's a Mainecoon cat that is very calm and relaxed, and would only stay in the room.

I would call them. I know service animals are allowed throughout the lodge, but I am not sure if they will allow an animal to stay in the room.

    Is parking free or paid?

Both. U can pay for VIP parking or just park in regular spots

    Is there clean vehicle parking?

    Yes

How much do the lockers cost and are they per day or per use?

    $15 per day

Is there a separate charge for towels? And should we bring goggles?

Hi Suzanne. Towels are provided as a courtesy, but they will track the towel usage with your wristband. I would also suggest bringing goggles and swim shoes. We paid about $30 for the youth swim shoes, but luckily we brought our own goggles. Enjoy…

What is the process and cost for late check out? Should I try to call now or just try when we are there? Only staying for one night a few weeks from now

I would recommend downloading the GWL app it gives you information about your reservation allows you to check in before you get there and will tell you the amount for late check out! I believe it's around $89 which I don't recommend you can pack…

Can you bring your own water bottles and fill up?

In October of 2022, we were allowed to bring our own Water Bottles, and were guided to refill the water at the Soda Dispensers where the food area is, inside the Water Park. Did not have to leave.

Can we bring our own folding chairs?

You wouldn't really need it. There are a ton of chairs available in the indoor swim area.

Are pets allowed at the lodge?

Technically, the hotel states they only allow service animals. I overheard an employee telling a guest they need to know what service the animal provides. However, I don't think legally (ADA regulations) they are allowed to ask. I'm pretty sure they…

    When does snowfall begin?

They make play snow for the kiddos inside the Lodge. They just started it today 11/18 so around thanksgiving or so.

No need to drive around or worry about parking after watching grown men dramatically suplex each other for our entertainment. Overall, I'd give the hotel a solid 4/5 for the price. The location was great, the hotel had a nice waterfront setting, and for what we paid, I felt like we got a pretty good deal. However, I have one major complaint: THE ROOM WAS HOTTER THAN HELL'S SUMMER VACATION. The AC was set to 65°F, which I assumed meant the room would eventually become a refreshing little refrigerator. Instead, the room apparently decided it was training for the WWE main event. At one point in the afternoon, the temperature climbed all the way up to 80°F. Eighty. Degrees. Meanwhile, the thermostat was sitting there proudly displaying 65°F like it had personally accomplished something. I began to suspect the air conditioner was less of an appliance and more of a decorative wall ornament. At that point, I was sweating harder than the wrestlers across the street. Aside from the room temperature saga, we had a good stay and enjoyed the convenience of being directly across from the Arena. For the price, I'd stay here again, but next time I'm bringing a thermometer, a portable fan, and possibly a small team of HVAC technicians.

Parking is across the street, which is not far, it's a short walk, but especially if you have luggage makes it less than ideal. Hotel rooms are fine. Price was reasonable. I don't have anything overly positive or negative will I stay here again? Sure if I'm in the area.

Unfortunately this particular property doesn't offer digital check in. I pre-paid using a different card. The manger Jana needed to verify the same card at check in but I didn't have it. I had to use a different card to pay for room and deposit when I checked in but it wasn't a big deal because I travel with different cards. My first time meeting the manger as the front desk staff help me when I stay but she was very professional and lovely to me. I love staying here when I travel because its close to the airport, good eats, friendly staff and a great Manager in charge of this property apperently.I saw some other reviews saying how horrible this place is but they obviously tried getting away with something and cry when they don't get there way. I feel so safe when I stay here because the people that work here run a tight Ship! Thank you TRU by Hilton. -Diamond member traveler

I said you already took the money out of my bank. It shows right here and I was showing him so at that point I asked if I could speak to the manager her name was Jenna and she came out very defensive and started telling me we don't take Chime. I said I'm not trying to give you Chime. I said I already paid for my room and she goes well. Chime prepaid and I had to correct her and say Chime is not a prepaid card. Chime is a bank. It may not be a brick and mortar but it's a Bank long story short. I just just hit rude and I just told her I'm good. I just don't feel welcome here and I just left the hotel fast-forward to today. I decided I had to come back. I decided to give it another chance it's been a while. I went in. It wasn't 3 o'clock yet which is the check-in time the room wasn't ready. no problem because it's not 3 o'clock I understood and I went and sat in my car is 96° and it's now it was after 4 o'clock in my room still wasn't ready so I decided they must not want my business. Keep in mind nobody in the parking lot no line at the desk. I had to call Hilton's customer service. They had to call and cancel true did not try to say oh we're so sorry have her come in? It's our fault. They just said yeah give her her money back counselor blah blah so what I'm finding out is that Hilton is no longer a corporation Jenna and her family own true and Lathrop and the Home whatever one further Homestead suite whatever it's called right across they own both of the hotels so they rented how they want so maybe that's how they run things in their home country but in any event very rude I will never go back if you're white you'll probably be treated well that's that that's what I'm thinking because when I wanted to be checked in I couldn't but another white couple walked in. They checked them in. They went upstairs cause I saw them and they came back down and left so why my room wasn't ready. Who knows like I said there's it's not crowded and there's no one here so I am going to file a formal complaint with Hilton corporation. Nothing will probably come of it and I'm also going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I would file with the Chamber of Commerce of Lathrop, but based on who the Maria is here and the owners of this hotel probably wouldn't do any good. That's my two cents on Tru By Hilton Hotel..

This place is absolutely horrible and disgusting. We checked in and were immediately "greeted " by…read morethis live cockroach right in the middle of the room. I didn't feel like staying there but we moved rooms and stayed. Our stay was for 3 days. They only clean the room every other day but we asked for towels and trash pickup the 1st night and they said yes but never did it. There was 6 people in the room (me, my husband and my 4 small children). The trash piled on quick. They picked it up the 2nd night. We checked out and in was grabbing some coffee from the lobby when one of the cleaning ladies walked up to the desk lady and started complaining about cleaning a room (almost like it's her job or something!) she proceeded to mention room 211 in Spanish and how disgusting it was and how they had to pick up the towels. My family was room 211 and I speak Spanish. I told the receptionist in Spanish that they should really be careful who they speak about because that is very unprofessional. The receptionist aggressively "defended" herself and instead of being apologetic for making a mistake , she kept telling me that "she didn't say anything" I told her she went along instead of putting a stop to it and that they should spend more time cleaning the rooms instead of trash talking about guests and perhaps the hotel wouldn't have live cockroaches hanging around. The lady proceeded to get loud with me and argue and telling me I should leave , as if I made a mistake. I took her picture because she refused to give me her name and she kept telling me " I just work here, what do you want me to do" This place should be embarrassed by the dirty rooms and poor customer service given by the employees. It was ridiculous that they would behave that way and I can only imagine what else they say about guests. Save yourself the disgust and pay a little more to avoid this place. I hope the owners see this review and I will also be contacting corporate and hope they look at the cameras and see the poor way the employees treat guests. This lady should work in a basement where she has no contact with anyone else . It is obvious she hates her job and doesn't care whether guests are happy or not. She is costing the owners money and is causing them to lose business.

It's not like other locations that they only circle your room number on the paper or tell you it's on the card. This threw me off when I checked in. I've been to other locations, but this is the only location that does this. Other than that, my stay was good. Parking is free, and there are spaces around the hotel. As long as you have your room ley, you can enter any door to access the hotel, especially after curfew hours (9pm). Breakfast is included, and they keep it pretty clean. The only complaint I have about this is the juice machine for the apple and orange juice. It wasn't cold and tasted like it's been sitting in warm temp, so it tasted like it was starting to ferment. By the elevator, before you turn to it, the fitness center is there. Multiple guests used it, but space is limited, so I didn't use it. They have a water refill station and guest laundry (self-service), just almost adjacent to the elevator. They have a mini business center just by the front desk when you enter the lobby. You need to ask for housekeeping if you need one. My room was clean, so I only needed to ask for refresh once during my stay. There a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also coffee maker. This location is convenient, it's in the middle of 2 fwy going north and south. There's a gas station literally outside the hotel and food establishments. Location was really a plus.
