This is a great clean hotel. Edgardo greeted us upon arrival, and he was very attentive to our group. He was funny and made sure to let us know he was here to help us if we needed anything

Appears to be a new build in the area. Restaurants walking distance close by. It's a Cute Hilton hotel with a dorm like feel. Focusing on the Tech employees, college students or everyone these days with numerous electronic gear. Large Lounge area, couches, swinging egg chairs, numerous outlets scattered around. Located in a seems like a sketchy part of town but all was safe. Car was fine. No issues. Stayed only for one night. Bed was comfy. Large screen tv. Breakfast was good with many choices. Gym was perfect for quick workout. Not great Views but again it's Manteca not the beach. About 10 minutes away from Great wolf lodge.

Aside from a comfortable place to sleep with breakfast in the am, much was left to be desired. We checked into our Queen suite at night for a softball tournament, with a reservation for four. Only two towels were provided! Some of our party were already sleeping when one took a shower and we discovered neither the bathtub nor sink drained. The toilet tissue holder and soap dish holder in the shower were both loose and wobbly. There were no lightbulbs in any of the bedside lamps. Of course housekeeping would have known about all of this, but management hadn't addressed it. The next am we reported the issues and they moved us to another room across the hall and we promptly left for the tournament. After a full day of playing and watching softball in 95 degree heat, we discovered our second room lacked a drain stopper in the bathroom sink. Surely housekeeping noticed. Why wasn't it replaced? You could see a foot down the drain to where it curved toward the wall. No surprise that a drain fly appeared in the sink later that evening. Gross! We covered the drain with the soapdish. The bathtub spout wouldn't shut off. It dripped water at a fast rate the entire time. Another thing that could be a quick fix. Also the toilet ran periodically. And the security latch was loose on the wall by the door. Good luck being secure in your room! There was a gap in the wall behind the toilet around the pipe. I went to use the plug in the bedside lamp base and someone else's plug had broken off in there so it was unusable. It just felt as if no one was paying attention to maintenance and upkeep. There was only one chair in our room though we had four people. So if you weren't in the one chair the only other place to sit was on a bed. And only one person could use the table as you need a chair to use it. There seemed to be a big focus on half dividing wall and two tvs, one facing each bed but there could have been more functional furniture than two tvs, more chairs or a couch. When doors closed within the hotel, our new room shook. The hallway door to the stairwell that is supposed to keep out those without room cards didn't close well without being shoved so it was often propped open, creating a security issue. When you shove your shoulder into the door to close it, the force of the closing shakes the building and if it has been shoved closed you can turn the knob and lean your whole body in the opposite direction and still have trouble opening it. Another security issue is most parking is on the sides of the building and in the back where there is less lighting and no security and someone is always hanging out in the parking lot. Some are customers sitting near their worktrucks to smoke and some are unsavory individuals going through trash cans but either way it doesn't feel safe and secure to walk from the parking lot to the door that requires a key card. That door also doesn't close quickly behind you and resists being rushed if you pull it. The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures and it had a sheen on top of it. The kids were excited to swim after the tournament but we decided it wouldn't be here and we swam at another hotel where a teammate was staying. Signage was confusing and indicated our room was in two different directions. It also indicated ice makers were on every floor but there was only one on the third floor. We took the elevator the first night and it was super slow for only going up two floors and very noisy. There were all manner of things scratching at the elevator as we rose. It sounded like night of the living dead. Breakfast was ok. The waffles are the star of the show. Sliced deli meat was offered for breakfast one morning. Um no! Powdered eggs are meh. Coffee from the machine is meh. Aside from all that, I slept comfortably. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend this place.

This location was pretty safe and I like how the hotel is all inside the lobby if you know what I mean. Versus other hotels that have outside individual entrances to each room, I don't like that. I had already registered online so the lady in the front was just waiting to give me my key. It was pretty quick and easy. The price was very reasonable compared to others around the area. It's definitely worth the money for the safety and peace. The room was very clean and nice. I got my complementary breakfast in the morning. It was a pretty good spread. I got some fresh coffee as well when I woke up and on my way out. I will definitely be staying in this hotel when I'm around the area.

Let me start off by a warning. It's the practice of this location to announce your room number out…read moreloud. I asked two different front desk clerks on different days. It's not like other locations that they only circle your room number on the paper or tell you it's on the card. This threw me off when I checked in. I've been to other locations, but this is the only location that does this. Other than that, my stay was good. Parking is free, and there are spaces around the hotel. As long as you have your room ley, you can enter any door to access the hotel, especially after curfew hours (9pm). Breakfast is included, and they keep it pretty clean. The only complaint I have about this is the juice machine for the apple and orange juice. It wasn't cold and tasted like it's been sitting in warm temp, so it tasted like it was starting to ferment. By the elevator, before you turn to it, the fitness center is there. Multiple guests used it, but space is limited, so I didn't use it. They have a water refill station and guest laundry (self-service), just almost adjacent to the elevator. They have a mini business center just by the front desk when you enter the lobby. You need to ask for housekeeping if you need one. My room was clean, so I only needed to ask for refresh once during my stay. There a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also coffee maker. This location is convenient, it's in the middle of 2 fwy going north and south. There's a gas station literally outside the hotel and food establishments. Location was really a plus.

Where to start?!?!? First of all, it costs $20 per car per…read moreday to park here. You would think that people staying at the hotel would get free parking. 3 Nights cost me $60 to park. The hotel is huge, the wait time to sign in are very long! We rented the "Grizzly Bear" suite - it's a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, with living room and a pullout queen sofa bed. We had 8 people in our group, 3 are 2yr old infants, we brought our own air mattresses for 2 of the kids. The cost for this room was about $400 per night; we stayed 3 nights. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom in the king room was big, the other bathroom was small. The indoor waterpark area is crowded and was probably over capacity. If you don't reserve a cabana (Which cost $350 per day), you may not get a place to sit. There must be 3,000 chairs in this place - every one of them was taken. They have a short, lazy river, there is a kids splash pad, a kid's water slide - you need to be a certain height to go on the slides. There are water slides for older kids, there are large water slides for older kids and adults, there is a wave pool and a regular pool. Outside is a large pool that we did not get to use. If you don't have towels, they lend you towels, but you need to sign them in and out. If you lose one, they charge it to your room. Be prepared to wait long times to do some things like miniature golf, the arcade, to order food, get on the elevator, etc. - there are a lot of people here, it is very busy. In the main lobby they have a little dance party for the little kids at 6PM every night. There are human critters walking around and interacting with the kids. Inside there are things to play, miniature golf, a ropes course, arcade. There are a few places to eat, they are very expensive. (Pizza, pasta, hamburgers, corndogs, ice cream, candy) and then there is the Barnwood restaurant that is only open at night. For breakfast, they have a buffet - terrible food! and it cost $28.99 per person - but it is all you can eat. P.S. the food lacks flavor and quality - yuck! There is also Dunkin Donuts - they have dry donuts, and terrible coffee. One thing you need to know is they do not accept cash here. You wear a wrist band which is attached to either a debit card or credit card which these are connected to your room number. You use the wrist band to unlock your room door, and to exit and enter the parking lot. If you want dinner, swipe your wristband, want to buy a gift or toy, swipe your wristband. It is a great idea. Every staff member is friendly and kind. They all say hello to you, and if you need assistance, they help you. The waitresses in the Barnwood restaurant were very good, friendly, fast, and accurate. They don't take cash to pay for things, but we left several tips in cash - they deserve it. PLEASE tip your waiters/waitresses. We tipped the room maids by leaving money on the bed when we checked out - they do a fantastic job on keeping the rooms fresh and clean. If you want something else to do, there is a Bass Pro shop about 2 miles away, we also went to a Black Bear Diner about 5 miles away. There is not much else fun stuff to do in Manteca. Overall, it was a good place to go and stay. We will go back, maybe in the off season when kids are in school.

I said you already took the money out of my bank. It shows right here and I was showing him so at that point I asked if I could speak to the manager her name was Jenna and she came out very defensive and started telling me we don't take Chime. I said I'm not trying to give you Chime. I said I already paid for my room and she goes well. Chime prepaid and I had to correct her and say Chime is not a prepaid card. Chime is a bank. It may not be a brick and mortar but it's a Bank long story short. I just just hit rude and I just told her I'm good. I just don't feel welcome here and I just left the hotel fast-forward to today. I decided I had to come back. I decided to give it another chance it's been a while. I went in. It wasn't 3 o'clock yet which is the check-in time the room wasn't ready. no problem because it's not 3 o'clock I understood and I went and sat in my car is 96° and it's now it was after 4 o'clock in my room still wasn't ready so I decided they must not want my business. Keep in mind nobody in the parking lot no line at the desk. I had to call Hilton's customer service. They had to call and cancel true did not try to say oh we're so sorry have her come in? It's our fault. They just said yeah give her her money back counselor blah blah so what I'm finding out is that Hilton is no longer a corporation Jenna and her family own true and Lathrop and the Home whatever one further Homestead suite whatever it's called right across they own both of the hotels so they rented how they want so maybe that's how they run things in their home country but in any event very rude I will never go back if you're white you'll probably be treated well that's that that's what I'm thinking because when I wanted to be checked in I couldn't but another white couple walked in. They checked them in. They went upstairs cause I saw them and they came back down and left so why my room wasn't ready. Who knows like I said there's it's not crowded and there's no one here so I am going to file a formal complaint with Hilton corporation. Nothing will probably come of it and I'm also going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I would file with the Chamber of Commerce of Lathrop, but based on who the Maria is here and the owners of this hotel probably wouldn't do any good. That's my two cents on Tru By Hilton Hotel..
