    Thermostat at check-in around 330pm
    Steven N.

The room is spacious and fairly new. Good thing about hotels is don't have to pay extra for free AC. On this note I set the thermostat to the lowest possible temp at 50°F at 330PM when I checked in. Up until 9PM inside temp still says 70° not until about 10-1030PM did the room start to cool down feeling more like the temperature I had set it to. Fell asleep shortly. Woke up around 4AM and finally the temperature inside was at 61°. Next the bath room why is the faucet so short so close to the side. Hotels have so much money yet they are so cheap in buying faucets and shower heads. See video. I can't even fit my hand fully under the running water. I sometimes was my hair in the sink in the morning. I was not able to on this faucet. Then the toilet area, why is there no light there? It's so dark like I am wear sunglasses. Why doesn't my mini fridge have a freezer portion. Last thing the tv channel selection sucks at this location. Oh and why does the bathroom have a master switch or whatever it's called. There is a switch outside the bathroom in the hallway by the front door that controls the bathroom lights. If this switch is off the bathroom lights don't work. This switch also control the hallway light switch. What a waste of an extra switch. It took me a few minutes to figure this out. After I figured it out I saw the note on the desk in the room. Every hotel the curtain don't seem to close all the way so sum or light doesn't get in. I always have to bring a round of masking tape to tape the curtains. That's about all I have to say.

Where do I begin.......The hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION (expected to end in January 2024)!!!!!!!!!!!...... parking lot looks like a furniture store and limits the amount of parking spots. The hotel is very dusty and dirty due to construction on all the floors above the 2nd floor. You can feel the dust in the air, especially if you stay on the 2nd floor because everything is falling down onto you. Debris throughout the hotel, elevators are dusty and filthy and not separated from construction use. Furniture and rooms that are being rented out are very rundown. NOT to Hilton standards whatsoever, truly disappointed. Manager and assistant manager seem to think it is ok to charge what they are charging with the excuse that the hotel will look better in January 2024. Caution to anybody with respiratory issues, this is not the place for you. When I called back after check out to talk to a manager and express my unsatisfaction. He compared me to someone going to a restaurant to eat and then asking for the meal to be free. I replied to him and said that I was not asking to be fully reimbursed but that I was asking to meet halfway since the room and hotel was not deserving of the price they are charging. That he could not deny. All other staff was great and you can tell that we were not the first complaint but not much that they can do about it. 5 stars to them because they really do try to help when concerns are brought up. I will add pictures so you can see the condition of the chair and rm upon check in.

Yellow , crusty, vomit on sheets.

Checked in and discovered yellow, crusty vomit on our sheets. Housekeeping came and changed the sheets. But, insisted the room was clean because she saw a housekeeper in our room earlier. We notified her that our air conditioner was not working. She called maintenance. Maintenance came and after trying everything could not get it to work. He suggested because it was cool outside to open a window. Open a window?? We were on the first floor. Is that safe?? He told us he would notify the front desk that he could not fix the air conditioner. We went out to dinner and came back because it was hot in our room. I am disabled and have a permanent disabled placard. We park in a disabled parking spot next to the pool and I hear this woman cussing next to us. She was smoking and guess what?? She was wearing a Hampton Inn shirt!! It was an employee. Wait, it does not stop there. She asked us to move because her son was coming to give her truck a jump because it would not start. My husband tried to be nice and moved to to another parking spot further away. Unbelievable!! You don't ask a disabled person to change parking spots. Next morning, breakfast was just ok. Gravy was runny and biscuits hard. Went by the front desk and reported what happened with our sheets and air conditioner and asked for a partial refund. I told him maintenance was supposed to notify the front desk. He told me the night shift left him no notes. Total lack of communication. He told me because they already charged my card he could not do it. He offered me Hilton honor points. I went back to our room and my husband was in the shower and discovered the shampoo conditioner completely empty. Went back to the front desk. He gave me a refill dispenser. I go to take my shower and guess what?? No conditioner. Completely empty!! There is no way anyone cleaned our room. No way at all. They should have checked the shampoo and conditioner levels. I am shocked at the staff. Housekeeper sticking up right away for who ever supposedly cleaned our room instead of reporting she would speak to the employee. Maybe the employee needs to be retrained? Maybe her work needs to be double checked when done? Maybe we should have been offered another room when maintenance could not fix our air conditioner? Maybe staff needs to be retrained in how to treat customers. Not cussing around them and asking them to move out of their disabled parking spot. I want a full refund and hope improvements are made with staff at this location.

Well, this is a great Hilton Property!!! I had such a nice stay here, there was a family gathering and it's such a tedious drive from where we live to Manteca. Apparently it was prom night or something because this hotel was packed!! It was quiet, the pool was okay, not very clean around the pool, but hey, it was hot, and people are lazy so they just left their stuff poolside. The buffet breakfast was running low from all the families with massive amounts of children; I'm talking about ten kids per couple, it was insane! The staff was very friendly, but they didn't honor the HH rewards, which was okay too because frankly, I stayed here free with my points!

Visited while my daughter was in the state for training. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Every single staff member I interacted with was efficient, friendly, professional. They have the best breakfast I've seen at any previous hotel, ever! Huge variety to choose from, fresh, hot, and plentiful! There is the most sweetest, gorgeous cat living outside named Jezebel that the whole hotel staff take care of. Her presence made my stay 100% better (yes, I was missing my own kitties)! I can't rave about this place enough.

I didn't feel like staying there but we moved rooms and stayed. Our stay was for 3 days. They only clean the room every other day but we asked for towels and trash pickup the 1st night and they said yes but never did it. There was 6 people in the room (me, my husband and my 4 small children). The trash piled on quick. They picked it up the 2nd night. We checked out and in was grabbing some coffee from the lobby when one of the cleaning ladies walked up to the desk lady and started complaining about cleaning a room (almost like it's her job or something!) she proceeded to mention room 211 in Spanish and how disgusting it was and how they had to pick up the towels. My family was room 211 and I speak Spanish. I told the receptionist in Spanish that they should really be careful who they speak about because that is very unprofessional. The receptionist aggressively "defended" herself and instead of being apologetic for making a mistake , she kept telling me that "she didn't say anything" I told her she went along instead of putting a stop to it and that they should spend more time cleaning the rooms instead of trash talking about guests and perhaps the hotel wouldn't have live cockroaches hanging around. The lady proceeded to get loud with me and argue and telling me I should leave , as if I made a mistake. I took her picture because she refused to give me her name and she kept telling me " I just work here, what do you want me to do" This place should be embarrassed by the dirty rooms and poor customer service given by the employees. It was ridiculous that they would behave that way and I can only imagine what else they say about guests. Save yourself the disgust and pay a little more to avoid this place. I hope the owners see this review and I will also be contacting corporate and hope they look at the cameras and see the poor way the employees treat guests. This lady should work in a basement where she has no contact with anyone else . It is obvious she hates her job and doesn't care whether guests are happy or not. She is costing the owners money and is causing them to lose business.

Aside from a comfortable place to sleep with breakfast in the am, much was left to be desired. We checked into our Queen suite at night for a softball tournament, with a reservation for four. Only two towels were provided! Some of our party were already sleeping when one took a shower and we discovered neither the bathtub nor sink drained. The toilet tissue holder and soap dish holder in the shower were both loose and wobbly. There were no lightbulbs in any of the bedside lamps. Of course housekeeping would have known about all of this, but management hadn't addressed it. The next am we reported the issues and they moved us to another room across the hall and we promptly left for the tournament. After a full day of playing and watching softball in 95 degree heat, we discovered our second room lacked a drain stopper in the bathroom sink. Surely housekeeping noticed. Why wasn't it replaced? You could see a foot down the drain to where it curved toward the wall. No surprise that a drain fly appeared in the sink later that evening. Gross! We covered the drain with the soapdish. The bathtub spout wouldn't shut off. It dripped water at a fast rate the entire time. Another thing that could be a quick fix. Also the toilet ran periodically. And the security latch was loose on the wall by the door. Good luck being secure in your room! There was a gap in the wall behind the toilet around the pipe. I went to use the plug in the bedside lamp base and someone else's plug had broken off in there so it was unusable. It just felt as if no one was paying attention to maintenance and upkeep. There was only one chair in our room though we had four people. So if you weren't in the one chair the only other place to sit was on a bed. And only one person could use the table as you need a chair to use it. There seemed to be a big focus on half dividing wall and two tvs, one facing each bed but there could have been more functional furniture than two tvs, more chairs or a couch. When doors closed within the hotel, our new room shook. The hallway door to the stairwell that is supposed to keep out those without room cards didn't close well without being shoved so it was often propped open, creating a security issue. When you shove your shoulder into the door to close it, the force of the closing shakes the building and if it has been shoved closed you can turn the knob and lean your whole body in the opposite direction and still have trouble opening it. Another security issue is most parking is on the sides of the building and in the back where there is less lighting and no security and someone is always hanging out in the parking lot. Some are customers sitting near their worktrucks to smoke and some are unsavory individuals going through trash cans but either way it doesn't feel safe and secure to walk from the parking lot to the door that requires a key card. That door also doesn't close quickly behind you and resists being rushed if you pull it. The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures and it had a sheen on top of it. The kids were excited to swim after the tournament but we decided it wouldn't be here and we swam at another hotel where a teammate was staying. Signage was confusing and indicated our room was in two different directions. It also indicated ice makers were on every floor but there was only one on the third floor. We took the elevator the first night and it was super slow for only going up two floors and very noisy. There were all manner of things scratching at the elevator as we rose. It sounded like night of the living dead. Breakfast was ok. The waffles are the star of the show. Sliced deli meat was offered for breakfast one morning. Um no! Powdered eggs are meh. Coffee from the machine is meh. Aside from all that, I slept comfortably. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend this place.

As long as you have your room ley, you can enter any door to access the hotel, especially after curfew hours (9pm). Breakfast is included, and they keep it pretty clean. The only complaint I have about this is the juice machine for the apple and orange juice. It wasn't cold and tasted like it's been sitting in warm temp, so it tasted like it was starting to ferment. By the elevator, before you turn to it, the fitness center is there. Multiple guests used it, but space is limited, so I didn't use it. They have a water refill station and guest laundry (self-service), just almost adjacent to the elevator. They have a mini business center just by the front desk when you enter the lobby. You need to ask for housekeeping if you need one. My room was clean, so I only needed to ask for refresh once during my stay. There a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also coffee maker. This location is convenient, it's in the middle of 2 fwy going north and south. There's a gas station literally outside the hotel and food establishments. Location was really a plus.

I said I'm not trying to give you Chime. I said I already paid for my room and she goes well. Chime prepaid and I had to correct her and say Chime is not a prepaid card. Chime is a bank. It may not be a brick and mortar but it's a Bank long story short. I just just hit rude and I just told her I'm good. I just don't feel welcome here and I just left the hotel fast-forward to today. I decided I had to come back. I decided to give it another chance it's been a while. I went in. It wasn't 3 o'clock yet which is the check-in time the room wasn't ready. no problem because it's not 3 o'clock I understood and I went and sat in my car is 96° and it's now it was after 4 o'clock in my room still wasn't ready so I decided they must not want my business. Keep in mind nobody in the parking lot no line at the desk. I had to call Hilton's customer service. They had to call and cancel true did not try to say oh we're so sorry have her come in? It's our fault. They just said yeah give her her money back counselor blah blah so what I'm finding out is that Hilton is no longer a corporation Jenna and her family own true and Lathrop and the Home whatever one further Homestead suite whatever it's called right across they own both of the hotels so they rented how they want so maybe that's how they run things in their home country but in any event very rude I will never go back if you're white you'll probably be treated well that's that that's what I'm thinking because when I wanted to be checked in I couldn't but another white couple walked in. They checked them in. They went upstairs cause I saw them and they came back down and left so why my room wasn't ready. Who knows like I said there's it's not crowded and there's no one here so I am going to file a formal complaint with Hilton corporation. Nothing will probably come of it and I'm also going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I would file with the Chamber of Commerce of Lathrop, but based on who the Maria is here and the owners of this hotel probably wouldn't do any good. That's my two cents on Tru By Hilton Hotel..

Dining: Breakfast was a delightful start to the day. fresh options, attentive service, and egg station that was right on point with sausage I will definitely be back since I travel this route all the time and I felt the price was well beyond my expectations!
