Finally took a trip to see my parents here in Manteca and wanted to do a little get away as well. Husband is diamond member with Hilton so he was able to get points and upgrade with the whirlpool jacuzzi. I must say I used that jacuzzi every night. So spacious, pretty clean, sad we missed all the breakfast because we just couldn't get out of bed. Breakfast is 6am-10am. Service was nice, only seen a few other families which was nice since I like to keep to myself. Oh and my husband loved this place because it was right next to the bass pro shop, although not much around but it's Manteca. Only issue was the bathroom sink handle kept falling off if you flipped it too quickly. But nice, clean, and cozy. Will be coming back. read more

Really solid hotel with good workers. Bedroom was cleaned daily felt like the bathrooms had been cleaned well. Plenty of soap in the dispensers. I stayed on levels two and three. The only feedback I have is the hallways kind of smell like wet dog, which isn't my favorite and on the first night of my first my second stay here, cleaners didn't clean out the mini fridge and left the previous person's food. But overall good cleaning. I have stayed at the true b Hilton nearby and much prefer this Hampton over another hotel in the area. Will be staying here again when I work in Manteca. read more

Don't be rude. It serves no one and you end up with a poor review. Thank God we were there for just one night. The place is cute, it is pretty clean and our room was a decent size. It is an average room. Parking is easy. The place is safe. They have an outdoor pool which looked nice. We did not use it so I can't say much about it, but it looked fine. They have free breakfast in the morning and it was terrible. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast. It is in a good location. I will never stay there again. They are awful. We went to check in and of course we had reservations. Our room was ready, but it was not quite check in time yet so they made us wait. The customer before us was treated so badly. She had a service dog. She had a cane. She was disabled. First, she was rudely told 75$ for the dog. The woman tried to explain it was a service dog and thus no fee. They were just not having that. I thought she was going to start crying. It was all I could do to stop myself from teaching this obnoxious person law 101 as to service animals. I kept my mouth shut. They then told her she would get a different room because of the dog. Whether they ended up charging her I have no idea, but they treated her like dirt. That is not okay. Ever. We got to our room and it was not fully cleaned. We called and they did it while we waited some more and some more. I finally asked about our room and was told it had been ready for some time and what was the problem. So nasty. I asked a question. I am not rude to anyone. This person was really testing my limit of how much I will tolerate. At breakfast the eggs were just the worst. I asked if they could make more. "NO." is what I got. The staff is just bad, the management clearly does not train anyone and I am just so done. read more

So I reserved my room through the app Super, it was decently priced and it provided amenities like breakfast and my room had a jacuzzi. I have bad some back injuries and having a room that could accommodate that so I can get support with my back was great and so I got the room. Sadly I was given a room without that amenity but paid the price of having one. The room was decent but the atmosphere felt so old. I tried to reach out to Super about my stay but they said they don't deal with the actual stay so I would have to call the hotel. I tried calling but no one has reached back out. read more

The room is spacious and fairly new. Good thing about hotels is don't have to pay extra for free AC. On this note I set the thermostat to the lowest possible temp at 50°F at 330PM when I checked in. Up until 9PM inside temp still says 70° not until about 10-1030PM did the room start to cool down feeling more like the temperature I had set it to. Fell asleep shortly. Woke up around 4AM and finally the temperature inside was at 61°. Next the bath room why is the faucet so short so close to the side. Hotels have so much money yet they are so cheap in buying faucets and shower heads. See video. I can't even fit my hand fully under the running water. I sometimes was my hair in the sink in the morning. I was not able to on this faucet. Then the toilet area, why is there no light there? It's so dark like I am wear sunglasses. Why doesn't my mini fridge have a freezer portion. Last thing the tv channel selection sucks at this location. Oh and why does the bathroom have a master switch or whatever it's called. There is a switch outside the bathroom in the hallway by the front door that controls the bathroom lights. If this switch is off the bathroom lights don't work. This switch also control the hallway light switch. What a waste of an extra switch. It took me a few minutes to figure this out. After I figured it out I saw the note on the desk in the room. Every hotel the curtain don't seem to close all the way so sum or light doesn't get in. I always have to bring a round of masking tape to tape the curtains. That's about all I have to say. read more

This establishment receives 0 stars from me. We had driven 12 hours when I called to ask about prices. I received a quote, accepted it, and asked the young lady if she needed my card to hold it. She said, "No, pay when you arrive." (I did not get her name.) When we arrived, I was charged almost a hundred dollars more. When I informed the young man of what I was quoted, the attitude he projected was, "Sorry about your luck." The young woman did not speak up to claim the mistake. We had driven out of our way to stay here. I've never had a problem with any Hilton-affiliated business before. We were on vacation, celebrating our 54th wedding anniversary and this was a disappointment. I would advise you to steer clear of this establishment. read more

Hampton Inn in Manteca was a great place to stay in. I accompanied my sister on a work trip, so it was nice that the hotel was walking distance to restaurants, the theater, and shops. The hotel itself was clean and newer looking. They served continental breakfast in the mornings which was great. Staff were friendly. My only negative was that the hot foods such as the eggs and bacon were fake eggs and bacon? So the rest of the stay, I went for the bagels. Otherwise, it was a great stay. read more

This hotel was very clean, service was good. But the free breakfast was awesome! I definitely want to stay here again.

For its price and location it was a great hotel, it beat staying in Stockton which is where we were headed. The hotel was in a nice location, we walked to Red Robin for dinner, and went to the bass pro shop. Staff was friendly and there was hot breakfast when we woke up. The room was big, ours had two queen beds and a sofa with a queen size pull out. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again for any future Stockton events. read more

I wish I could give zero stars! I should have read all these reviews first. Do yourself a favor and don't book a stay here. Prior to booking I stated that I was running a marathon and if that I could get a late check out. The guy said that I would have to ask the day of so I asked if I could at 6am and he said yes. I called and the lady at 6am on the day of and she said I had to call back at 8:30 when the morning person was there. I told her that I was running a marathon and she said that there was a 30 minute grace period but that was all she could do. I had to stop running in the middle of my race to call once again and ask another lady. She told me she could give me only until 11:30am (which they already had said that there was a 30 minute grace period so she was doing me no favor but acting like she was) and then I told her I was running a marathon and I didn't think I would be done by then and that's when she finally said oh ok that's ok then I'll let house keeping know. Very disappointed that I had to try and call and talk to so many different people just to get a late check out until noon. Please do better than this next time, listen and have some compassion in certain customers situations. I will never be staying here again. read more

Where do I begin.......The hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION (expected to end in January 2024)!!!!!!!!!!!...... parking lot looks like a furniture store and limits the amount of parking spots. The hotel is very dusty and dirty due to construction on all the floors above the 2nd floor. You can feel the dust in the air, especially if you stay on the 2nd floor because everything is falling down onto you. Debris throughout the hotel, elevators are dusty and filthy and not separated from construction use. Furniture and rooms that are being rented out are very rundown. NOT to Hilton standards whatsoever, truly disappointed. Manager and assistant manager seem to think it is ok to charge what they are charging with the excuse that the hotel will look better in January 2024. Caution to anybody with respiratory issues, this is not the place for you. When I called back after check out to talk to a manager and express my unsatisfaction. He compared me to someone going to a restaurant to eat and then asking for the meal to be free. I replied to him and said that I was not asking to be fully reimbursed but that I was asking to meet halfway since the room and hotel was not deserving of the price they are charging. That he could not deny. All other staff was great and you can tell that we were not the first complaint but not much that they can do about it. 5 stars to them because they really do try to help when concerns are brought up. I will add pictures so you can see the condition of the chair and rm upon check in. read more

Well, this is a great Hilton Property!!! I had such a nice stay here, there was a family gathering and it's such a tedious drive from where we live to Manteca. Apparently it was prom night or something because this hotel was packed!! It was quiet, the pool was okay, not very clean around the pool, but hey, it was hot, and people are lazy so they just left their stuff poolside. The buffet breakfast was running low from all the families with massive amounts of children; I'm talking about ten kids per couple, it was insane! The staff was very friendly, but they didn't honor the HH rewards, which was okay too because frankly, I stayed here free with my points! read more

Checked in and discovered yellow, crusty vomit on our sheets. Housekeeping came and changed the sheets. But, insisted the room was clean because she saw a housekeeper in our room earlier. We notified her that our air conditioner was not working. She called maintenance. Maintenance came and after trying everything could not get it to work. He suggested because it was cool outside to open a window. Open a window?? We were on the first floor. Is that safe?? He told us he would notify the front desk that he could not fix the air conditioner. We went out to dinner and came back because it was hot in our room. I am disabled and have a permanent disabled placard. We park in a disabled parking spot next to the pool and I hear this woman cussing next to us. She was smoking and guess what?? She was wearing a Hampton Inn shirt!! It was an employee. Wait, it does not stop there. She asked us to move because her son was coming to give her truck a jump because it would not start. My husband tried to be nice and moved to to another parking spot further away. Unbelievable!! You don't ask a disabled person to change parking spots. Next morning, breakfast was just ok. Gravy was runny and biscuits hard. Went by the front desk and reported what happened with our sheets and air conditioner and asked for a partial refund. I told him maintenance was supposed to notify the front desk. He told me the night shift left him no notes. Total lack of communication. He told me because they already charged my card he could not do it. He offered me Hilton honor points. I went back to our room and my husband was in the shower and discovered the shampoo conditioner completely empty. Went back to the front desk. He gave me a refill dispenser. I go to take my shower and guess what?? No conditioner. Completely empty!! There is no way anyone cleaned our room. No way at all. They should have checked the shampoo and conditioner levels. I am shocked at the staff. Housekeeper sticking up right away for who ever supposedly cleaned our room instead of reporting she would speak to the employee. Maybe the employee needs to be retrained? Maybe her work needs to be double checked when done? Maybe we should have been offered another room when maintenance could not fix our air conditioner? Maybe staff needs to be retrained in how to treat customers. Not cussing around them and asking them to move out of their disabled parking spot. I want a full refund and hope improvements are made with staff at this location. read more

This place was decent enough, clean and put together. However when my colleague and I checked in, we were put in a room with a blocked window! It felt so claustrophobic, I guarantee they don't try to pawn that room off on just anybody. I'm not sure why they felt like we were good candidates, but I definitely called and complained. The lady who answered apologized profusely and immediately moved us; it was as if she knew there was a fair chance she'd be getting the call. Anyway, that room should be a storage space or something, not a box for guests. I feel bad for people who let this establishment get away with placing them in a space like that. Booked the hotel because it was listed as pet friendly and I was on a road trip for work with my (documented) service dog. First thing they did was scrutinize the legitimacy of her service dog status. Then they asked to see the paper work (second law they broke). Then proceeded to charge the company card (was staying one night for work in room 420 for what it's worth) $75 pet fee. (3rd law broken that I know of). I've tried calling many times. I always can only speak to anyone except management. Ive left my phone number several times to call me back. All I wanted was to have the $75 refunded but nobody was willing to get back to me. At this point I will be seeking legal counsel. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This is the most confrontational hotel I've ever stayed at. This is the second time we've stayed here. First time: manager tried to fight one of the parents of a youth soccer team. Manager's name was Will. Second time: we were told by staff to hang out in the parking lot with our large group (2 soccer teams parent groups) and then they then called the cops on us, twice. This manager's name was Josh. We typically book in blocks of about 32 rooms which is close to $4,000 twice a year. There are certainly better places to stay with far less drama and a the hotel itself isn't anything special anyways. read more

Wow. It is one thing to wait, with no one in line, to be told there is no early check in or out. I offered to pay a fee, but the answer was simply no. I have stayed at the Embassy, Fairmont, Holiday Inn, Four Seasons, Bellagio, Silver Legacy etc and they have always tried to accommodate the request. In most cases they did. I left there and went to Holiday Inn and was able to check in early. Our power had been out for sometime and I needed to work. I so appreciate Holiday Inn in Lathrop. Needless to say , Hampton looks ok from the outside. They have horrible service. Aside from my issue, a gentleman came to deliver for Amazon in stormy weather. He asked if he could use the restroom. He was told flatly no. I say to Hampton, flatly no, I will never stay there. read more

This is a tough call. I really want to give the place 2 or 3 stars due to some of the staff and lack of fully cleaning but Chuck was so wonderful during our extended stay. He made a rough time easier on us and I simply can't give Chuck anything below 4 stars. Very kind man and he clearly enjoys his job. Big thank you to Chuck! We had mold in our home and stayed here for 18 days during the removal. He moved us into a king suite with quick access in and out. The is made things so much easier for us. Unfortunately there was a gentleman that was less than accommodating during our stay. We understand that not all requests can be filled. He made every little seem difficult. He was the one to check us in and even during that process we did not feel welcome. We informed him that we would probably need to extend the stay and at that point we did not have a date. We asked for lower room and said we would upgrade if needed. He said nothing was available. Later that night I went down to get something from the car and noticed the clean room stickers on doors and unopened. Those rooms were not used during the first 5 days of our stay. He initially put us in a room on the 3rd floor and in a very active area. The hotel gets a lot construction workers and linemen who leave early and come in late. All the banging and nose in the parking lot made it difficult to sleep. After two days I requested a room change. This same gentleman denied the change. Even trying to extend the stay was difficult with him. At one point he told me he extended it another day but the next morning I received a checkout alert on the app. We finally had an idea of a date and that is when we met Chuck. He made things so much easier. I can't thank him enough for his kindness. During our stay we only had housekeeping come in once. She was very nice but I asked for a full room clean. At this point we had been in the second room for a week. All she did was make the bed, add shampoo and fix the shower curtain. No vacuuming or cleaning the bathroom. I had moved all of our stuff back into suitcases and into one area of the room to make this easier for her. Due to Covid I left the room. My husband said I needed to call them back but I felt as if we would seem like complainers. I did mention something to a lady up front when I went to ask for towels at night. She just looked at me and said they were out of towels at that time. No reply about the housekeeping. I feel as if housekeeping is not fully cleaning the rooms even with occupancy changes. The couch had no pillows, it was filthy to the point my husband didn't want to sit on it. There was a mystery white glob next the bed frame. In the bathroom corner there was nail clippings. The mirror over the desk looked as if it had not been cleaned for a long time. This makes me doubt the extra cleaning they have listed for Covid and the use of a special Lysol cleaner. There was also a very odd occurrence. At around 1pm I heard a lot of commotion in the room next to us. Suddenly I heard it, you're welcome people getting it on. More power to them. But I only heard them for a few hours in the room. He sometimes you gotta stop traveling for sleep and other times sex. I get it. However, about a month and half later I called the hotel because we had a situation where we might need to be out of the home during some construction. We didn't find out until the day before. Again I reach that gentleman who seems to dislike guest. He told me we could not check in at 9am. Despite me saying we would be gone by 7am the next day. He refused to accommodate us in any way saying they were booked and they do not do special requests. I wish I had gotten his name. Dark hair, average build, in his 20's, dark complexion and always dressed very nice. Anyways I called the Hilton customer service. She told me they had over 20 rooms available with just the queen beds and several suites. She said I should call back and speaker to the manager. I knew how they changed shifts given our long stay so I didn't bother because this worker was probably going to make that difficult. I called another Hampton Inn in a town next to us and not only were they willing to accommodate us they gave us a lower price. read more

I'm doing this review exclusively for the people interested in the suites. I spent two days in the King size suite with a whirpool. I spent $179 a night using a triple A discount through the website. Overall I think the price was fair for what I got. The room was very spacious. 2 sinks, large shower, full length mirror( some hotels don't have that), king bed (not to be confused with a California king), couch, small table. The best part was the whirlpool! I absolutely loved it. It's attached to the main room, it has it's own space and had a T.V. specifically for use while enjoying the whirlpool. Hotel service was great. Reasons for a 4 star review. Some of the furniture had blemishes. The couch very noticeably had a large stain on it and the chair was banged up and looked bad. the FIRST time my boyfriend turned on the whirlpool it had sledge come out of the jets. We ran the Jets and filled the tub again a second time. The second time everything was fine. Other than those issues every thing was great. Breakfast was decent, service was good. I Plan on staying here the next time I visit family. Better hotel considering the city of Manteca. I did mention the the issue of the whirlpool to the front desk upon checkout. read more

Dated hotel with sparse accommodations. Also be prepared for a $35.00 additional "incidental" fee to be added to your credit card.

In my opinion this is one of the best of class when it comes to Hampton Inns. We have stayed here at least a dozen times over the past four years or so. Wife's sister lived in Manteca and her mother in Modesto, so this location and convenience was great for us. The facility is well-managed and the front desk people are helpful and courteous, always giving you a hello when you pass them by. The manager calls you to check on your satisfaction level and if you need anything. The rooms are very comfy. Beds are firm with down comforters and a raft of pillows of varying densities. Amenities include a coffee maker and small refrigerator, excellent TV service and internet service. if you are with Hilton Hhonors the internet is free. Breakfast is super. It is a real buffet with egg dishes, biscuits and gravy on some days, make your own waffles, fruit cocktail and loose fruit, like bananas and apples and there are some form of breakfast meat and potato. Certainly there is coffee and juices. The kitchen staff is really nice and they go out of their way to check if you found what you were looking for and if they can assist you. Breakfast is part of your lodging. The Bass Pro Shop mall is a reasonable walk to restaurants, theater and shops. The mall got caught in the recent recession and is not completely full, but still offers a number of options that you do not have to drive to get there. A-OK all the way! read more

This is for the check in process. Tried to use the app but needed to show an ID to front desk to access digital key. Was in town early and asked if I could show my ID now so when the room was ready the digital key would be accessible and I wouldn't have to wait in line. The guy at the front desk told me it was not possible to show ID to get digital key until 3 or later. He apparently then checked on the room, told me it was dirty, and then cancelled my reservation. When I returned at 3 to check in found out there was a problem. They tried to charge me the full price though I had booked with a group rate. Irritating and frustrating experience. I'll edit if things get better, i.e. if I end up being charged the correct amount without having to deal with the front desk again, or the breakfast redeems all this lol. Edit to add: clean room, good breakfast. Tagged on a couple more stars for that. Would give one more if the pool was working. read more
