    Hair.

If you want a comfortable, sanitary, and safe stay, please do not book here! Stayed in 225 5/16 for a graduation. Welcomed by 2-3 flies in my room. I also discovered HAIR in the sink which I wasn't too bothered by as I assumed it was from the cleaners. But after examining the bed and towels, there was hair EVERYWHERE just embedded in the fabric. YUCK. After checking in around 3:45, and shooing FLIES out of my room, I went to have dinner with the graduate at the Water Front Hotel (a lot nicer by the way) and returned around 6:30 PM. Just as I was winding down for the night--I found a ROACH crawling on the wall and bathroom sink. Called the front desk rep who first exclaimed that they "hadn't had any issues with roaches in that room before." It is sooo pointless to mention something does not help resolve the issue at hand! I was literally watching the roach crawl around the sink as I was on the phone with him! There are already a few reviews of roach and bed bug sightings here. This is NOT a new occurrence. And if there is one roach, there must be more. The rep continued to say that there were no other rooms available to put me in. Further, he stated that I could simply leave and by doing so, I MAY only receive a partial refund. I had only been in the room maybe 2-3 hours??? To add, he said that the manager would be out until Monday, a day after I check out. So, essentially, I could leave and risk not being refunded. The entire conversation was dismissive. Felt totally invalidated. Didn't even offer to at least spray the area. At this point, it was late and I didn't have transportation to leave. I couldn't catch the roach, so I slept bundled up in a sheet until morning. Worst hotel experience I've ever had! If you're in Stockton, please do not stay here. It is literally just Motel 6.

    Hairs in the shower

The Hotel is modern and the rooms are nice for this level of Hotel. The review is indicative of our stay. 1. We left the room for 12 hours and upon our return at 8:30pm the room had NOT been cleaned. I called the Reception and was told they could not and would not clean it. If I wanted it cleaned I would've needed to ask... no one told me I needed to ask upon check in. I've been to 28 Countries, I'm well travelled... this is a first. With MUCH hesitation, they agreed to change our room. The new room had a hair in the shower from some other guest and even the following day after it had been cleaned the hair was still there. Also, whoever cleaned our room did NOT give us new towels... If you don't mind single ply toilet paper great.... But if you want something better, bring your own. Also they do not have Facial Tissue to even blow your nose. The area around the sink has hardly any lighting (quite dark) so putting in your make up in the dark was not easy. Overall, the rooms are nice for this level of Hotel but just take it with a grain of salt.

    Room I was upgraded to.

Roaches. The type that are not scared. My first room started leaking water from the ceiling. They gave me a 15% discount. I booked for two nights. Second room had blood stains on the sheets. All problems they should not have for the prices that they are charging. It's newly remodeled the rooms are nice. The rooms facing the water front are the best. Housekeeping looks miserable. The customer service was alright. I should not have had to pay for the first room tho. That was a fail.

We (a family of 4) spent one night there. It's been remodeled and it's clean. For the price and it was only one night, it's worth it.

I had gone to the elevators and neither were working and there was no information regarding how you could exit. I paid a premium for this hotel and didn't get my moneys worth at all. I want a discount for the inconvenience. I know things happen but aren't elevators supposed to be checked regularly so this situation doesn't happen? I would not recommend this hotel ant all. Next day: This hotel is in Stockton. I'm in room 343 tonight as well. I just returned to my room and it hasn't been made up. Best western review…read more I have been staying in this hotel for almost a year, due to unseen circumstances, & I could honestly write a book about how unprofessional and fake management is! Not to mention the unlawful behavior of the current management! There have been two different general managers since I've been here and let's just say I rather have chose the lesser evil of the two! from charging incorrect charges to my card, to charging an previous tenant for his room AFTER he caught pneumonia, in the hospital, and passed away!! (rest his soul). The fire alarms were outdated and just were changed out back in December 2025 (which they still aren't done working on, so they go off at random times). Mold in the bathrooms, mold under the AC units, they don't replace the air filters, they simply clean them off with water and return them to the unit. They changed the rules for breakfast, which is dine in now, and I left a review for how I felt about that, and the new management thought it was ok to express my opinion to the entire staff, and as I walked up to the front desk, I heard them talking about how I gave them a bad rating! Highly inappropriate to tell the name of who left the review, guess that's more important than actually raising the bar for their establishment! The previous general manager, Elizabeth, tried charging me unknowingly, for sheets that my baby threw up, I politely asked to speak to corporate and was told that they would take the charges off! Fast forward to September 24th, 2025. We went to court and the current general manager lied under oath about everything! I will be doing a civil suit and anyone is open to join if you've ever encountered serious problems with this establishment! They have BED BUGS, they sprayed rooms 122 & 120 in A building and never notified anyone (pictures attached), fire alarms "up to code" but still go off, not to mention we need a new carbon monoxide detector and maintenance took it and never came back to replace it (I don't hold maintenance accountable because they do a lot around here!) mold in the bathrooms (pictures attached) water was shut off and no notice (illegal in the state of California, I also have a video of the BROWN WATER). General manager doesn't like people of color either, I've seen how he treats them versus other races! Never met such a lazy ass general manager, always leaving his issues for front desk to deal with! Such a bad example of someone who's supposed to be a leader! Not to mention he's told workers not to be too friendly to guests!(specifically told a worker to not to my friend at work lol) and all of this is on record, with corporate (email attached with case reference just in case anyone would like to call and reference my "allegations." But of course the general manager is going to say my review is full of lies and I'm mad because we lost in court lol..GLORY TO GOD WE ARE MOVING FINALLY!! I'm not the only one who publicly stated any of the allegations on a public platform! Best western full of shit, at this location Just be aware at this location! Upper Management is a joke!! All other workers are super cool and pleasant!

No need to drive around or worry about parking after watching grown men dramatically suplex each other for our entertainment. Overall, I'd give the hotel a solid 4/5 for the price. The location was great, the hotel had a nice waterfront setting, and for what we paid, I felt like we got a pretty good deal. However, I have one major complaint: THE ROOM WAS HOTTER THAN HELL'S SUMMER VACATION. The AC was set to 65°F, which I assumed meant the room would eventually become a refreshing little refrigerator. Instead, the room apparently decided it was training for the WWE main event. At one point in the afternoon, the temperature climbed all the way up to 80°F. Eighty. Degrees. Meanwhile, the thermostat was sitting there proudly displaying 65°F like it had personally accomplished something. I began to suspect the air conditioner was less of an appliance and more of a decorative wall ornament. At that point, I was sweating harder than the wrestlers across the street. Aside from the room temperature saga, we had a good stay and enjoyed the convenience of being directly across from the Arena. For the price, I'd stay here again, but next time I'm bringing a thermometer, a portable fan, and possibly a small team of HVAC technicians.

They don't offer queen double rooms, and we wound up booking a room with two doubles, for three adults. Two of us were squished uncomfortably in one small bed. It was a poor night's sleep. The AC splitter unit was old and made weird creepy loud noises all night, keeping us up. It was humid and hot. The shower was dated and cheesy. It felt so much like a motel 8. The mattress was hard, side sleeping hurt. Lol- the elevator is slow and halfway broken, and the front door to the lobby got stuck shut so nobody could leave or enter, on our way out... LOL.. If you're loyal to the brand, and you want a place to stay in a safe part of Stockton, this is a good plan. I realize, not all Courtyard Marriotts are the same. I would give it one star out of five stars. I attempted to complete Mobile Check-In at 4:00 p.m. and use the Mobile Key feature, which is one of Marriott's signature conveniences. However, I received a notification that I needed to stop by the front desk to verify my ID due to a system upgrade. While inconvenient, I understood and arrived at the hotel around midnight. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was poor. The night auditor did not greet us or offer a welcome. Instead, he immediately asked for my ID and credit card without any hospitality. After returning my ID and credit card, he never provided room keys. When I mentioned that I had not received them, he insisted that he had already given them to me and stated that the Mobile Key "should work," but could not guarantee it. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, he appeared more interested in arguing than assisting. Once we entered the room, the experience only got worse. The room had a strong musty odor and felt dated. The bathtub contained hair, and there was a false eyelash on the bathroom sink, making the cleanliness of the room very questionable. The bathroom fixtures are clearly overdue for replacement, the sink drained extremely slowly, and both the sink and shower had very poor water pressure. Overall, this property is in desperate need of a full renovation, from the guest rooms to the plumbing fixtures. More importantly, the staff would benefit from additional customer service training to provide a more welcoming and professional experience. I would not stay at this Courtyard again, nor would I recommend it to others until significant improvements are made.
