This Candlewood Suites location is dog friendly (25.00 for the first night and 10.00 each additional night for stays 1 to 6 nights. A nonrefundable fee of 150.00 for stays 7 or more nights), provides free WiFi, has free parking and free use of the washer and dryer. This location shares the same parking lot as Holiday Inn Express (that is also dog friendly by the way). There is no breakfast provided but the rooms have a full kitchen with necessary pot and silverware and a full size fridge with freezer. The room that my husband, our little girl and I stayed in was quite spacious with a large enough bathroom. I liked that there was Dove branded shower wash, shampoo and conditioner available in the shower stall (and also a Dove branded hand soap dispenser by the sink). The only thing I don't like about the bathroom is that the door closes automatically and would prefer not to have to reopen it every time I need to go into the bathroom (but that is minor and am sure others would not find this annoying). Service from employees that I have interacted with the employees here are friendly. There is a small gym on site that has a water dispenser available and disinfectant wipes made available. Outside on the back side of the hotel are grills with a nice covered seating area. There is a also a poop bag dispenser for those walking their pups. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and most likely will stay at this location again when staying in Lodi (which is pretty regularly). read more

WOW! What great staff here. Cat went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and right at home (away from home). She was courteous, efficient, and very helpful. Dan took over and was so helpful and kind too. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property felt safe and secure. So I just stayed here three nights for a work trip. Check in was quick and seamless. The main areas include a gym, laundry facilities, an area where you can borrow kitchen items, games, etc and a little store with food items, toiletries, and meds. The room was large with a long work desk. There was a good size t.v. that pivots. The bed was comfortable and I slept well there. Rooms were decently soundproofed. There was not a full kitchen (as advertised), but it is pretty close: it had a decent sized fridge, a cooktop, a microwave, a dishwasher, a few pots/pans/tupperware containers, as well as utensils/plates/bowls/cuos/glasses for two people. It did not have an oven, which I think would take it to a full kitchen. It did have packaged salt and pepper, in case you do cook there. There were also packets of powdered creamer and sweetener, for your coffee. Maybe because you have the kitchenette in the rooms, there is no included breakfast. The coffee machine is a small drip type (not Keurig) and seemed to only work with the few pre-filled coffee pads they provided 1-2 of. I tried using my own coffee with a paper filter and that did not work so well. There is a drive through Starbucks just a block or two away, so not a big deal. Plus there was brewed coffee in the lobby area. The bathroom was spacious enough, with pretty fast hot water (but pretty poor water pressure). Housekeeping services are only provided every 7 days, though you could apparently ask for additional towels if desired. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and the kitchenette was appreciated (as I brought nearly all of my own food for my stay). read more

Booked for 4 nights with our 2 dogs. We arrive around 8pm on a Thursday night. While driving through the parking lot looking for a spot, a driver in another car comes up fast in front of us and yells from his car if we can give him money so he can go to mc Donald's. We say no. He gives a grouchy unhappy response and drives off. Great first impression. As we keep driving to finally get a spot, we noticed he is parked and walking into the hotel. So he obviously can afford a hotel for the night. Walked in to find a decent looking room. Big comfortable bed although it was too high for our large (elderly) dog to get on. Everything about the room itself looked great. Plenty of room, nice bathroom, working ac in that crazy weather. Then the alarm system went off because someone set it off in their hotel room from cooking. Very very loud and just something that comes with cooking. It happens. I get it. Nice to know their fire alarm works right. After a while it turned off. All was well. Until we saw ROACHES. Every night they would come out I assume from under the refrigerator. We checked out a night early and continued our road trip. Would I stay again? If I absolutely had to. The couple of workers I saw were nice. There is a paper in the room that says you can drop off clothes to be washed before 9pm and you get them the next day. That sounded great as my boyfriend was in a baseball tournament and needed his grey uniform more than once. We filled out the paper and took it. We had just enough time to turn it in! Just to find out "they need to update the paper. It ends at 5pm. But there is a laundry room I could use but need my own laundry soap." Great to find out late at night. It was an okay hotel. Not horrible. But I will definitely look into other hotels if I need to stay in the area again. Also as far as dog friendly. As I mentioned my large dog couldn't make it on the bed but she is old. 1 patch of grass for them to do their business around the hotel. But for some reason the doggy bags with trash can are not on that patch of grass. Total asphalt everywhere. So be safe when you take your furry friends out to get to that patch of grass on the hotter days, as they will have to step on it. read more

They remember my name, welcome me back, they know I like to get a Diet Coke out of the fridge in the afternoons and automatically charge it to my room. I was doing to give a 2 but I upped it to a 3, here's why. We had booked a few rooms here recently. I was in my friends room and saw a bunch of ants on the table which I thought was strange because there wasn't really anything to eat or get them out. Okay no big deal, but then I went back to my room and saw that we had ants too and they had gotten into our leftover pizza--what a waste! Ants aren't a huge deal but I would never book a place knowing they have ants if you know what I mean. I probably won't be back. (It really deserves 4 1/2 stars but yelp doesn't do half stars.) This was a pleasant surprise! I'm a clean freak so was hesitant to stay at a place I'm not familiar with, and I'm a devout Hyatt and Hilton customer. But this place was absolutely LOVELY and more importantly, impeccably CLEAN! I'm not sure if it just went through a remodel but everything in our room was spotless and the furniture was nice and new. The beds were undeniably the best things, soft-topped but firm. They might be new too. I like to find hotels with kitchens (when you have a child, they really want nothing but home made noodles) and this kitchen was well stocked, CLEAN (again), and had a full-sized fridg. The microwave was large and better than the one at home! We ended up having thanksgiving dinner here and I was able to make most breakfasts here too. Lastly, they offered J. R. Watkins bath products in their bathrooms and those smelled divine and actually were moisturizing! The only reason I took away 1/2 star was that I had some problems with the electric stove, and ended up using the breaker box to turn it off. (Yup, you get your own fuse box in your room. Cool, right?) But overall, I would definitely come back to this home away from home. It proved to be a great (and safe! it was in a great location) place to stay for our family over the thanksgiving holiday. read more

First and foremost, I give this place 5 stars! If I could give it more. Oh, my goodness, I would totally. We were traveling back home to Oregon with major truck mechanic problems. And we had a special Uncle passed away. So we were in Lodi and just too exhausted from car problems. You name it, it happened, so my husband's aunt said. This place was amazing, so we came out here. They gave us the military discount. We let them know that we are here for a funeral. And just horrible day coming to find out that this hotel is the least expensive for a pet deposit. Yes, I said a pet deposit. Some other hotels in this town wanted to charge $125. Deposit to have an animal, and they said they were pet friendly. Not this place, it was awesome. $25 is all they ask for deposit. Without being said, the gentleman that worked a front desk. His name is Nick, this man. I hope says with this company for a long time. He is a major asset to this company. And was so helpful and just all around awesome. I want to make sure that I gave him a thumbs app 15 million times and to thank him for making us feel at home. The room is just stunning. I have my disabled granddaughter with me, a very large rottweiler, and if she is very clean and this amazing room did it actually make you feel like home? I'll never say anywhere else again. I will make sure I always look for this hotel chain. Wherever I may be if you have to say somewhere. It's just looks like it's at the very end of the road. That's beautiful, it's behind my pin. I don't care for Best Western plus but it's behind that security. They have on-site cameras, your items are safe. You're not near any of the c*** downtown. I just wanted to compliment the staff and management on their quick and professional response to a minor fire that was accidently started by a guest. Because of the hotels well maintained alarm system and the cool heads of the hotel employees, a bad situation was nipped in the bud. The minor inconvenience of a night-time everyone from what could have end ed in a loss of life situation. Safety obviously comes first here, and it is truly appreciated! read more

Got a king room and it was nice sized. Had a small kitchenette in there with some stuff to use. There was popcorn which my kid loved. Nice sized tub and bathroom. Super clean and just overall nice. A bit pricey but worth it for the cleanliness alone. Will be back, we don't live far so it was just a one night little get away. Can't wait for summer to use the pool when we stay. read more

Decent property. Relatively new. Unfortunately the property has problems with insects. Probably why they were not listed on Yelp... Anyways, we were in a 3rd floor room. The next day upon waking, we noticed some tiny crawlers in our bathroom. Ants! On the 3rd Floor! We quickly notified the front desk and were immediately moved to a new room. Everyone working the day time hours have been very nice and helpful... not so much at night. I kind of expect that but... The same day they re-rented the room out still infested with insects. Beware... nice property but you'll leave with hitch-hickers! I'm shocked they rented that room out within hours of us moving to a new room...Ants still crawling.... Hopefully we don't go home with unwanted souvenirs! read more

We stayed here for one night before my surgery at Adventist Hospital. The staff and our room were both great. We had a nicely appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, clean and spacious bathroom, large desk and plenty of room to put our luggage. Though they don't offer breakfast, they do have 24 hour coffee and fruit for the taking. They also gave me a nice discount when I mentioned having surgery at the hospital. We stayed here while on last minute weekend getaway. We enjoyed wine tasting in the area and this was a great place to stay while here. The bed was really comfy. We brought our dog and love that this place is pet-friendly. The room was spacious, the staff were very friendly, and I love that the room came with a small kitchen. It even had a dishwasher. This place looked great from the outside even the inside looked good until I ran a bath and found a trail of ants running across the bathroom floor. I tried cleaning them up to no avail and to top it all off the toilet does not actually flush anything down but just stirs up the water. Very frustrating. I understand maintenance may be more difficult with the Covid mess, however the prices reflect quality and quality it was not. read more
