We had to find a new place to stay while we were in town one more night (see my last review). We were in town visiting our son for his birthday so we just picked something down the street from him. We decided on this Motel 6 since it had decent reviews... We walked in and booked on the spot. The guy at the front desk was very nice. The room was clean and had a better "feel" than our previous room/hotel. It wasn't amazing but it was decent and did the job, nonetheless. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but at least we had HOT water for our showers. read more

Doors don't lock in a sketchy neighborhood is not even the worst thing. They have a new AI robot and the staff behind the desk has been instructed to not check you in. Use the machine you can't understand or hear what they are saying. Worst experience ever. Any my room key had to be replaced every day. The rooms are old and dirty I would NEVER return to this place EVER! read more

The best Motel 6 I've ever seen. I travel back and forth from NorCal to SoCal regularly and this place is blowing my mind. First - Jenny (I hope I got her name right, 12/28/25), at the front desk is a gem and she was extremely helpful when there was confusion about my reservation. She found and fixed the problem easily, with a smile on her face. Second - The rooms are clean, stocked and comfortable. Mini fridge with small freezer & microwave. Comfy bed and so much space. Third - The grounds are quiet and very clean. The pool and hottub are kept up with, clean and cozy. Thanks so much! Definitely a do over if I ever need a room in Lodi again. read more

I got to say I would stay here again, for another longer stay. It had some good things and some bad ones as well. Pros: the staff is very friendly, rooms are big, clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is nice, no tweakers around, the grounds are clean and kept in good condition. No foul odors. Convenient laundry on site. Cons: it is literally feet away from the freeway. The floor in my room had a few cracks and spots where once you stepped on it would sink slightly. Walls are thin enough to hear a lot of outside noise. No coffee make in the room, coffee available at the lobby. They pride themselves on being one of or the highest rated motel 6. And for being a Motel 6, it is definitely on the nicer side, but it continues to be a motel 6. But at the end of the day when you balance the value for the price it really isn't bad. read more

My bf and I rented the room with the jacuzzi tub inside the room. It was wonderful. Just what we needed to relax. We both have sore bad backs and this was a real treat. The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. It was a nice little mini vacay from reality. Would definitely love to do again in the near future. The price is fair and the lady's at the front are so nice and welcoming. My bf and I have stayed before for a weekend when the Lodi comic con was going on. That weekend the jacuzzi room wasn't available though. But that room again super clean and comfortable bed. Great service. I love how the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back soon. read more

I used to live back in motel 6's and have always known them to be sort of ... special. They carry a certain type of characters that come to them, have a certain type of staff, and have a certain type of care to their property (which hey! When I was homeless on the road I'm not complaining) I am absolutely surprised of house nice of a property all around this was. Clean inside clean outside, nice staff, people outside actually having a nice time with their kids, designated and respected smoking areas, a safe feel to it and the parking lot. If I ever need to just sneak away again I think the Lodi location is where I'm going to go. I am impressed! read more

I've stayed at Motel 6's other locations however, the Lodi, California location HANDS DOWN is the BEST location by far. From the front desk lady (Jenny) to the manager (Julie) they made my stay so enjoyable via their kindness, professionalism and courtesy. I was looking for a clean, bug free place to stay for very low cost. The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. There were no frills in the room but the bedding and fixtures are modern and everything was freshly painted. It was exactly what I needed at a good price. read more

360 degrees great! Cleaner and less uptight than a lot of Marriott's and Hampton Inn, Red Rood, La Quinta dog friendly all-- Pet area. Thick grass even in summer and cleaned up all the time. Staff- helpful, courteous and recognize they are highly reviewed and they care. Great property with the entrance- literally one of the coolest places about the hotel. The pool was open and clean along with the hot tub. The guests are a flavor variety, transit workers Roadtrippers, we-can get away peeps. In my opinion, there are some better locations on the property than others. I looked at Google Earth before booking my room, and took room 220. Top floor corner facing west. Sunny during the day, but beautiful sunset and eyes on your vehicle. read more

Rented two rooms for the night for my family and I. When we first went to our rooms we entered the first room and the room hadn't even been cleaned from the previous tenant. In our new room I took off my shoes, walked around the hardwood floor and this is how my brand new socks ended up, filthy dirty. It was late and we were exhausted, came back to the room , put on my pajamas, pulled back the blankets and found hair all in my sheets. Needless to say I went to the front desk and the lady there told me someone else had the same issue. I was not comfortable sleeping in a bed that had dirty sheets and a room that had obviously not been cleaned well so we decided to drive all the way home. I was told that the manager Julie would be in at 6 and that she would give me a call, Never heard from her. I decided to call her and she tried to tell me there was no hair in the bed! I wish I had taken pictures but it was late and we were exhausted. We had our 3 year old granddaughter with us and just needed to leave. They refused to give me a refund for rooms we didn't even use so now I have to file a report with my CC company. Look at previous reviews how dirty the floors are.... pictures don't lie! read more

Don't expect to be staying at the Buckingham palace. Nothing lavishing about this place. With that being said, this motel did it's job. It was a clean affordable place for my husband, pup, and I to rest our heads. The room was spacious, our king size bed was comfortable, pressure in the shower was good, room had hardwood floors which I prefer over carpet, small fridge, and it's dog friendly. No complaints, would stay again if I return to Lodi. read more

On September 26, 2023, I stayed at this location & I've been a loyal customer here for over 2 years now & I've NEVER had any issues or concerns regarding the customer service, the cleanliness, the sanitation, the overall care over the hotel & the rooms. This is my ONLY concern/complaint but it completely changed the way I feel about my safety & comfort when staying at this location. In room 223, I found fresh/newly coagulated blood in 2 different spots, on the side of the toilet bowl. As if housekeeping clearly didnt thoroughly clean the room or didnt care to clean the room up to health code standards. I had to use hand sanitizer to disinfect the toilet seat & the contaminated areas on the toilet bowl. I was so disgusted & shocked that I wasnt even comfortable using the toilet the rest of the night. I had used it prior to this hazard catching my attention. So I'm still worried about any possible health hazards that may have been possibly transferred. I love this hotel but this is a serious enough & overall health hazard/violation. I have photo evidence but i cant upload them attached to this review. read more

Stayed here while visiting my aunt and uncle in Lodi. I stayed here with my husband and 2 of my dogs (stay for free). The room was actually nice and spacious for a Motel 6. The bathroom was a nice big size. But the toilet paper roll holder is quite a reach from the toilet though. I liked that the sink was outside from the bathroom and also really liked that the sink area actually had a small travel size hair dryer to use. The bed I slept on was a little too soft for me, I actually prefer a nice firm mattress instead. The motel door didn't look like it did not close all the way, as it stuck out just a little. But you still would not be able to open it from the outside and it stayed locked. But it just bothered me that it closed kind of funny. Wifi here is free and actually pretty fast (also was not password protected). Check in was quick and so was check out (check out is at 11 am by the way). One thing I didn't really like about this Motel 6 though is the lack of grass areas for my husband and I to walk our dogs. Although there are some in the very front of the hotel (this motel has a long drive way), there are just scarce grassy areas around the facility. But overall, still had a pleasant stay and would stay here again with my dogs. read more

The room was nice, very big space. I had a king bed all to myself. Room came with a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately I have to lower the rating for two reasons: first, the walls are paper thin and I could hear my neighbors. Second, I found roaches in my bathtub that had climbed up out of the drain. Not very sanitary. read more

I stayed here for a few days with my family to attend my brothers wedding. The older woman at the counter on Sept 18th around 4:30 pm allowed me to have my brothers kids join us in the pool. However, as soon as my nephew and sister in law (who are African American) show up, she had a strong response and screamed at my four year old nephew. She told him he couldn't go in the pool because he was not a resident. Even though she knew my caucasian nephews weren't residents either and she had no problem with them swimming. My poor four year old nephew didn't understand why he couldn't join his cousins in the pool. He's too young to understand what racism is. She then stood there by the pool watching the African American side of my family the entire time reminding them they can't go in the pool, but the white side of my family was free to swim as they pleased. She must have reminded them at least 20 times. This behavior should not be tolerated! And it's NOT OK!!!!! read more

This Motel 6 location is by far one of my best experiences staying at a motel/ low budget hotel rooms. I had a personal unfortunate situation that took place back in November. I stayed here for 10 days ( 11/20-11/20)and they were helpful from the moment I checked in until the day I checked out! They were gracious enough to allow me to check in about an hour & a half early before normal check in time. They put me in the 1st non smoking room available. It was clean and no odd smells. It was quiet on the premises. No shady characters hanging around. The front desk agents were phenomenal! Julie was amazing! I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay but was always helpful with helping me extend my stay. Housekeeping staff was also great. Very sweet staff here. I would most certainly stay here again. If you're near the Lodi area and need a place to stay the night or 2 I recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. Rooms are clean, updated, pool and hot tub with laundry on site. Also coffee in the lobby every morning. read more

I stayed at this motel for a few months and it wasn't the worst, but it was bad. IF I COULD LIVE HERE I WOULD!! I very rarely write reviews so this short novel has got to say a lot coming from me. THIS HOTEL NEEDS MORE STARS!! If I could give them 100, I would. * Let's start with the best part, the service!!! Every staff member that my honey and I have encountered have been so amazing. Above and beyond my expectations of great customer service even! In regards to mark, the morning concierge, (or mike omg I'm second guessing myself!) he is so so sweet. He has made me laugh every time I've spoken with him and he just really tries to make everyone's day. He makes sure that we're all very well taken care of and just is a very genuine guy. Probably in the top 5 best customer service members I have ever encountered. Julie is among them as well, both of them with warm smiles! She is an awesome employee, taking her job very seriously but also happy to joke with us and make our day as well. All of the staff are wonderful but those two in specific I had a very pleasurable experience with. Both were very chipper and upbeat smiley folks in the morning time when most people would feel tired and unwilling to put in the extra effort. The staff complimented my son's eyes and even gave him hot chocolate! Service:1000000/10 * Pricing. So, the price DOES change by the night so unfortunately you don't really know how much it will be until checkout time comes around again. It depends on availability and day of the week. However, considering that most hotels in this area are either the same or MORE for much much less space, worse service, and much dirtier rooms.. I have no problem paying even $110 on a busy night (which is the most we have paid for it, on the most expensive day of the week, with almost no availability left, for TWO big beds) or $79 on a slow night (which was the least we paid online! I hear it's usually a discounted price online). Lastly, in regards to price, they do a 10% discount on weekly rates and an even bigger amount discounted for monthly rates which I'm unsure of. I wish I had known this before spending night after night here paying daily! Which it's ok cause we were unsure if we were going to like it and unsure how long we'd be here anyhow. *Now let's do the hotel itself. I love the fact that we don't have to go up and down an elevator or stairs to go outside. Especially since I have a son who loves being outside to play and also we smoke cigarettes. There is a long drive-way so it's not right by the noisy road, but there is a gas station right next to the hotel so you can walk there for snacks or drinks if the vending machine doesn't have what you'd like. That's a big plus. Also the freeway is right next to it so it's very easy to get to. Location 10/10. * Lastly, the room.. ITS HUGE! For the price it's much bigger than what we've paid for previously at other places. There is a nice sized table and 2 chairs (which you could probably get more) so it's nice to be able to actually sit down and eat a meal or sit and draw or read or whatever you like to do. Also the room is so super clean, the beds are extremely comfy I think it's some sort of serta or tempurpedic. Needed more pillows, but that's just because hubby snores (BAD lol) and I like to be up real high. Sheets are clean and white (which whites a necessity) and most rooms have an actual bathtub which was super exciting for me and my bath bombs! Speaking of bath and water, there is a pool and a hot tub! It's closed due to Covid for now but can't wait to come back and make that hot tub my little bee. Ice machine, laundry, vending machine. The normal food stuff. There is plenty of space and charging ports also. Room 10/10 * (actually last) The ONLY thing I would change at this place would be the occasional noise level at nighttime from the other residents. It's not all the time but we've been here for maybe about two weeks and about 3 or maybe 4 nights there has been quite a bit of noisiness and commotion outside. Thankfully my son and boyfriend are very heavy sleepers however I am not! A little sad about that part, but that isn't the hotels fault so I couldn't dare let myself take away a star for that reason. Noise level 7.5/10 ......All in all, while being in the immediate or surrounding area at all, I would recommend this hotel over all of them. They really are very accommodating and ask every day if we need anything when they see us. If I had the money, I would literally live here. Keep up the awesome job motel 6. My son loves it. Boyfriend says it's cool (which means he loves it lol) and I love it. Thanks for the hard work, you guys seriously rock. Whew! longest review ever. read more

I have relatives in Lodi and stay at this Motel 6 when I am down visiting them. I usually don't stay at the Motel 6 chain hotels when traveling, but this one in Lodi is excellent! The rooms are always well cleaned and the staff is always friendly and helpful, especially Jenny at the front desk! The accessible rooms with roll in shower are great for my daughter who is in a wheelchair! Only suggestion I have is that the rooms on the front side away from the freeway are much quieter. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Not bad, not great. I needed a place to stay and it was at a fair price, and I didn't feel cheated. The room was adequate, though the lack of shampoo was frustrating. This hotel is much cleaner than I expected. BUT... You can hear people walking around upstairs most of the night. I don't think the upstairs floors are concrete like the nice hotels. Pet friendly hotel. I had a break up and needed to find a place to stay quickly with my dog. I booked the room through BringFido.com and the lady behind the counter let me check in early which was really nice of her. I got room #128. It was very very spacious, big bed. I was there for only one night but found it to be comfortable. The "dog area" was a weird corner in the back parking lot. Had potty bags but just a random corner with bushes. I didn't let me dog walk in the area for fear of snakes or things of that nature. So we walked on the hot concrete so he can relieve himself. In a dire need situation, this is a good place to bunker down for a night or two. read more
