Great hosts, great space, great breakfast! Enjoyed our time at Bella Vino and would highly recommend them.

My husband and I drove to Lodi for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and stayed at Bella Vino in the "Merlot" room. It was a very large lovely room with en suite bathroom, also quite large. The room was bright and full of light, decor was upscale vintage and the king bed was soooo comfortable. There was even a vintage mini fridge in the room for snacks or left overs. Both spaces were spotless, very well kept. We had breakfast outside on the deck both mornings that we were there and Chris, our host, made us a different offering each day, with fresh coffee, oj, freshly cut fruit, something eggy and something sweet, we loved it all. We also enjoyed the company of our four legged hosts, Cosmo a statuesque white standard poodle who made sure to always have a toy offering in his mouth upon greeting us and Gracie a slightly pudgy super friendly tabby cat who did what cats do best, lounge in the sun and soak up pets from guests that happen to pass by. We will definitely be back to Lodi for other wine getaway adventures and we hope our room at Bella Vino is available next time we make the trip. read more

It's a shame that I only stayed for one night. Chris and Karen are exceptionally kind and friendly hosts. Cosmo... what a nice dog! The house is vintage, beautiful, and well kept. My husband and I had a romantic stay at this amazing bed & breakfast location a couple of months ago. I was charmed by the quaint feel of the building and the vintage decoration in our room. I was a bit worried that the street traffic might be loud since the bed & breakfast is located right by a rather busy street for Lodi; however, we couldn't hear any of the cars from our room until the late morning. Our room, the Champagne room was clean and well-kept when we arrived at Bella Vino. Luckily we were the only couple staying that weekend, so the bed & breakfast was pretty quiet overall. Our bed was super comfortable, so we were both able to sleep peacefully. The owners left us a bottle of wine, wine glasses, and Ghirardelli chocolates on our dresser, which was very sweet of them to do. The owners here are truly amazing. They kept an excellent line of communication with my husband prior to our stay. Since the owners had business to attend to the weekend of our stay, we were given a gift certificate to dine at one of the local restaurants in Lodi for breakfast. We'll have to come back again to enjoy the breakfast served at Bella Vino! Overall, I'm impressed by our stay at Bella Vino. The owners are amazing and the bed & breakfast itself was very cozy. We look forward to staying here again in the near future! read more

My boyfriend and I planned a last minute trip to Lodi for Memorial Day weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and comfort in this beautiful B & B. We were thrilled entering the home when we were greeted by the owners friendly, but calm, poodle. The owner was helpful getting us checked in, and asked us what time we would like breakfast the following morning. Considering the variety of precautions made during the pandemic, we were thrilled to hear that they were still providing breakfast, while following all Covid safety precautions. Our room was very clean, had quality air conditioning, and included a bottle of red wine and chocolates. The following morning we were served a three course breakfast, along with a lively discussion with the owners. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Lodi! read more

Loved our stay there!! Room was wonderful and thankfully included air conditioning as it was in the high 90s when we were there. Easy going, very informative, and friendly inn keepers. We had our privacy and was able to finish some online business as they had WiFi with adequate bandwidth! Breakfast was awesome and served to us in the beautiful spacious back yard and deck! We enjoyed our night at Bella Vino ! The room was very comfortable, bedding was top quality , I slept like a baby. It was a very hot day in Lodi, 100 plus! The AC was working great. This B&B was very nice in many ways!! It's located walking distance from downtown. The hosts Karen and Chris were bery warm and friendly and attentive in every way...we felt special. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and very clean! Chris's breakfast creations were amazing and delicious....5 star!!!! If I had to make a comment on improvement, I would recommend the owners do whatever they could to reduce the overall noise. The air conditioner was very loud, the street location on the corner of Lodi Ave and Hutchins was busy and noisy and the trains ran all night long. I did not get much sleep. I hope they can make those improvements....I would stay there again in a heartbeat if they do. read more

Bella Vino B&B We had a very pleasant two nite stay at Bella Vino B&B in Lodi. The hosts, Chris and Karen are welcoming, gracious and informative. Our room (the Merlot). It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. As clearly indicated and explained on their website, do not book a room here if you mistakenly think it is in a remote countryside location with a secluded winery attached. It's on a moderately busy residential thoroughfare, but the convenience of being able to walk to the "downtown" district of Lodi cannot be beat. If you're a fast food junky, there's a Jack in the box across the street. For some that's a detraction, for me it's a definite plus! They have a great pair of pets, Cosmo a big friendly standard poodle that will greet you with one of his favorite toys and seeks attention by rubbing up against you for petting. They also have a furry kitty, named Gracie, that wanders around and is a typical cat, aloof, but seeks acknowledgement and the occasional neck scratch. They are both present but not obtrusive. Chris makes a great breakfast with fresh local ingredients, the first morning's breakfast was homemade orange zucchini muffins, a frittata (made with organic spinach, red peppers and a mashed potato base) accompanied by fresh coffee. Karen regaled us with the local attractions and some of the history of the region while we leisurely consumed our sumptuous breakfast. The king size bed (with brass head and footboard) has one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever had the pleasure of going horizontal on. The serene backyard with a small bubbling fountain, several fruit trees, tasteful lighting, a few well spaced table sets with chairs is the perfect place to conclude a day of sightseeing and unwind while enjoying a bottle of wine (served complimentary with the room) and some subdued conversation. The residence is the perfect blend of country charm and small-town convenience. We highly recommend this establishment and sincerely hope that this insight provides some useful guidance on your next trip to the Stockton/Lodi region. read more

I only stayed for an evening but the little time I had was great. The hosts were able to answer any questions I had about the area, suggested a few good spots for a drink and snacks/dinner. (I like to hop around to a few places) the electronic lock made it as easy as you can get to get in the house, not needing to carry a key. A surprise complimentary bottle of wine with the room, which was delicious. Comfy bed, in room a/c unit, and quite a big, private bathroom. Everything was clean and the backyard sitting area was relaxing with the small fountain. Both hosts are definitely no slouches in the kitchen either. Breakfast was amazing with fresh coffee, fresh fruit, fresh baked coffee cake peach cobbler deliciousness (that I was even given some to go). Overall; great hospitality, conversation, clean and cozy place and all in walking distance to the downtown area. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend getaway. read more

My wife and I just enjoyed a two night stay at this beautiful B&B. We stayed in the merlot suite which had a comfortable king sized bed and a large attached bathroom. The hosts were very accommodating and lovely to chat with, and they prepared delicious breakfasts for us. Since we were visiting during a pandemic, we were a little worried about distancing. We needed a place to stay 1/2 way up the 5 fwy on our way to northern CA. I chose Lodi, then looked up B&B's and found Bella Vino. We stayed in the Champagne room near kitchen facing back yard. Very private, quiet evening, comfy bed, lovely breakfast by host Adrian. Great shower. I might recommend they raise the TV onto a stand or attach to wall higher up so we didn't have to look through the footboard to view the TV! (Smiling!) Walking distance to downtown Lodi. Most places closed on a Sunday afternoon in fall but a wine tasting room was open and featured excellent live music. Very enjoyable stay! read more

We had a very heartwarming stay. Chris and Karen are by far the best hosts we've ever had. We felt so welcome and included. The room was great. We felt like a prince and princess in a small getaway just by the way the room is arranged. I love their decor and the witty quotes on the wall. And already I must leave a review because of how amazing this place is. The hosts are welcoming and the house is a beautifully remodeled 1912 vintage home. They have everything a guest could wish for... We already feel like a super special part of their family. The interior and exterior are appointed well, and they have snacks, coffee and tea waiting for you at any time. They also provide a bottle of wine with crackers and delicious cheeses upon your arrival. The home is centrally located to downtown Lodi, within walking distance of wine lounges, pubs and places to eat. We can't edit to finish enjoying our dinner so we can get back and relax. You can't go wrong here! Update: As I expected it would be, or sleep was restful and our host provided a fantastic full course breakfast in the morning. The food was excellent and they were very thoughtful about having it ready a little early because they knew we wanted to get back on the road. Definitely coming back!! read more

Had a great time at this B&B. We picked up pizza at Smack Pie and brought it back to the place. Ate in their beautiful backyard under the tree and well lit chandelier. The owners were kind to give every guest a bottle of Jessie's Grove wine and cheese. We loved hanging out in the backyard so much we had breakfast there. The owner's made us breakfast and plenty of coffee to wake us up :) A very charming historic home that was so comfy and clean we didn't want to leave. We recently enjoyed a two night stay at Bella Vino, a sweet, restored historic bungalow on a busy street close to downtown Lodi. We stayed in the Champagne Room at the back of the house, which was quiet, and very clean, with a comfortable bed and private bath. A nice, light breakfast with coffee or tea was offered each morning at 8am. We enjoyed relaxing in the evening next to the fireplace in the cozy living room. There is a beautiful white poodle named Cosmo with a lot of personality, and two very friendly cats who live on the property. The entire inn was spotless, and I'm very picky! Bella Vino is a great choice over a chain hotel for anyone visiting Lodi. So glad we found it, and will definitely be back. read more

You will notice the positive reviews are before the new owners took over in May of this year. Inn is centrally located which is good but it's a noisy area, especially at night when you're trying to sleep. The innkeeper (and I assume owner) isn't very friendly and almost seemed put out. We had to ask questions about parking, keys, etc. First bed and breakfast we had to go out and buy our coffee at 7 in the morning because it wasn't available. Not a big deal but the tv wasn't working on arrival or departure even after we notified the innkeeper. Very strange experience. Not returning. read more

Innkeeper Adrian was a joy to meet and very helpful, returning my on-the-road email after normal biz hours and responding by opening the B&B for us weary travelers late in the evening. Snacks and complimentary wine awaited us, along with an immaculate and beautiful room, the entire house was like a refuge. A restored craftsman with tastefully selected appointments throughout... our bed was as comfy as a dream! Enjoyed a lovely stay at Bella Vino when we were in town for a wedding. This is a beautifully renovated Craftsman style home with spacious, comfortable, well-appointed rooms. The common areas were welcoming and comfortable and the backyard garden was great for enjoying a drink on a warm summer evening. The location couldn't be better to enjoy Lodi's thriving downtown area on School St. only a few easy blocks away. Nice restaurants and cute shops and lovely tree-lined streets make for a nice day of wandering. This gem was more than I expected. It was very close to several restaurants. The backyard patio area was so inviting! I truly loved the arrangement of this home. A wonderful breakfast was prepared in the morning that started with a fresh fruit parfait. The owners were warm and friendly. Breakfast was served at 9 am and all the guests were seated at a family dining table. This was wonderfully conducive to an easy flow of conversation.
