Went above and beyond to help us every step of the way. She even had a candle and lighter when we forgot ours, I can't say enough about her, she was amazing! They have a policy about hair length. The policy is that if you have hair below your waist you are not allowed to ride the go-carts for "safety reasons." But it seems this policy only applies to certain individuals and dare I say possibly only to individuals with a certain skin color. The photo they use as an example of acceptable vs. unacceptable hair length shows a picture of a girl with her hair below her waist. My sister's hair was right above her waist and they denied her the ability to ride the go-carts. She had even arrived to Funworks with her hair in a bun. They made her remove it so check the length. Which like I mentioned before wasn't below her waist This policy seems highly unfair and very discriminating. And to make matters worse, the go-carts are prob the slowest go-carts in the nation. All the fuss about their strict policy to then be disappointed with the 2 mph go-carts. Save yourself the headache, embarrassment (if you have long hair), and money. Go to Boomers instead! read more

We don't have a lot of options here in Modesto and this is a lot of fun for the kids. However, it's expensive. I bought the 5 hour pass for my grandude. I had no idea it was only 6 rides. I thought it was unlimited rides for 5 hours. It goes fast! definitely runs out before 5 hours, so not sure why it says 5 hours. $38 It is still the only way to go as most of the bigger attractions are either : $10 or $12 per ride and only last 5-7 minutes long:( and.. there is NOT enough shade for adults that are bystanders. But if you want to blow through $76 in about 1 hour to join them on all 6 rides.. you can do that too. also, no one told us at purchase point that it was only 6 rides AND that if you go on water ride... you can not go on any other rides wet. period. whaaat?? Thank goodness I had an extra pair of clothes in car for our sleepover. Or there would have been a strong request to return the pass for another day. There is zero shade by bumper boats. Please drill a hole in the tables for an umbrella. Please provide shade for your customers. I thought I would have a stroke in the duration of the 5 minute bumper boat ride. lol. I would seriously consider a monthly subscription for unlimited rides if they had one. Also, be prepared to stand outside in the sun while you fill out the waiver (at the entrance) with your phone. Sooo annoying. and must be done EVERY TIME you go. There is always one of the attr as cations closed for repair for months now. It's a virtual game. Guy at the front door checking waivers just looked at us with a blank stare on his face not answering questions or even acting like he was interested in helping us. Girl at the register peppered us with questions about what we were planning to do with our time there... we have toddlers, it changes by the second. But we were told if we planned to do the boats, then we couldn't do anything else. If we planned to do go karts then I had to take my hair out of the bun it was in to prove it wasn't too long. I said it's fine, I won't do them and then she continued to tell me how I wouldn't be allowed to do them and put a giant star on my wrist band. I had a very disappointing experience at Funworks. My daughter arrived with her hair already in a neat bun, which is the required hairstyle. She had followed the policy and came prepared, yet she was still told she had to take her hair down so staff could check the length to determine if it met their requirements. She was not allowed to enter until she did so. It made no sense to require her to undo the very hairstyle they expect everyone to wear. She had already complied with the dress code, but instead of being treated with respect, she was embarrassed and inconvenienced by having to take her hair down in front of others just to prove its length. I understand the importance of enforcing policies, but they should be applied in a reasonable and respectful manner. If hair length needs to be verified, there should be a process that doesn't require someone to undo a hairstyle that already meets the required appearance before they're even allowed inside. This experience was frustrating and upsetting, and I hope Funworks reviews how its policies are enforced so other families aren't put through the same unnecessary situation. read more

We chose Funworks because they let you ride solo even if you're under 58 inches tall, just at a slower speed. That one feature in of itself separates this spot from the others, they trust the kids to drive the karts, and the kids have a blast doing so, they just limit how fast they can go in them, it's brilliant business model to be honest. This spot is a few miles from the freeway, super easy to get to. Beyond the go kart racing, they have tons of other options. There's miniature golf, bumper cars, batting cages, arcade games, and a small snack bar/food court. There's also plenty of separate spaces in that area for kids birthday parties too. The golf course was kept up pretty well we noticed. We'll for sure come back, and do the activities they offer again. They have different packages you can buy. I recommend the 12 ticket pack for $80, best bang for your buck. read more

Customer Service is seriously lacking. We hosted my son's 9th birthday here and left less than pleased. 1. I arrived at 5 pm for our 5:30 pm party. I asked for pizzas to be put in and ready around 5:45. It wasn't until 6:15 that I received my pizzas. I ordered an extra pizza and it was delivered to the other party and wasn't caught until I asked our attendant. 2. All of the attractions were closed with the exception of the go karts and the 3-D theater. We had the 6 attractions included in our party package. When I spoke to the lead regarding my frustrations she claimed that all attractions were open earlier in the day. It doesn't help when you have a party later in the day. My party went out to the boats and there was no attendant. When asked about the bumper cars, we were told they do not work and there was no staff to help with that attraction. It would have been nice to know that the attractions were going to be closed 3.The lead refused to give me her name when asked and was very rude towards me. 4. The floor and the back counter were disgusting when we arrived for a party. There was frosting all on the counter. Our attendant was nice and I did not feel out the questionnaire truthfully and regards to cleanliness. She was occupied with the other party which required me to seek her out for refills/wristbands/etc. read more

Funworks Has Lost Its Family-Friendly Values - Not Recommended It's unfortunate to say, but Funworks is no longer the wholesome, family oriented environment it once was. What used to be a fun and safe place for children and parents alike has taken a disappointing turn, and people deserve to be aware before spending their hard earned money here. The facility claims to have a dress code, yet it's completely ignored even by management. On my visit, I witnessed individuals walking around in nothing more than a bra and shorts, clearly in violation of their own posted rules. When I respectfully brought this to staff's attention, I was met with defensiveness and no accountability. The so-called "hair policy" is also inconsistent and frankly ridiculous, with selective enforcement that leaves guests confused and frustrated. When I was eventually met by the manager or team lead, she seemed more intimidated by the situation than equipped to handle it. Rather than addressing the issue, she appeared overwhelmed and unsure, clearly lacking training in leadership and guest relations. Guests are now required to step outside in the blazing heat to sign a waiver before entering, yet once inside, policies are loosely enforced or completely ignored. Even worse, this waiver is only valid for that single visit meaning every time you return, you must repeat the process outside, regardless of the weather. I saw people openly bringing in outside food, and management didn't intervene. If you're going to require a waiver, at the very least, the rules and standards should be consistently upheld. Adding to the frustration, many of the arcade machines were either out of order or malfunctioning something that has been a consistent issue. I have photos documenting the number of broken-down games. There were no refunds and no staff around to assist, leaving kids disappointed and parents frustrated after loading money onto game cards. To make matters worse, dirty tables were left unattended throughout the facility, with no one making any effort to clean them between guests. To be clear, I'm not someone who typically leaves lengthy reviews, but this experience warranted it. The facility is run-down, neglected, and poorly managed. What was once a clean, structured, family-centered atmosphere has shifted toward a more relaxed culture where standards are brushed off, cleanliness is ignored, and professionalism is lacking. Please be advised if you're looking for a safe, clean, and truly family-friendly experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Funworks is no longer what it used to be. read more

My little family and I decided to play putt putt golf and five mins in I felt a painful bite/sting on my foot and realized the entire cement was riddled with red ants and my little one was also bit on the foot. We then moved to a different area and continued to play until my little one went to retrieve her golf ball and saw that there were a few cockroaches in the hole where the ball was as there were many more within the other pars. First time adventure at Funworks this afternoon. Definitely filled with LOTS of activities from mini golf, bumper cars, huge arcade, bowling, batting cages, and they also do birthday parties of which several were in the process while we were there. There is a snack bar featuring pizzas, nachos, hot dogs, funnel cake fries, (wow, sadly I didn't get a chance to try that!) various drinks, regular fries, hot dogs and more. There is no unlimited arcade game card like Chuck E Cheese and the $30 for arcade was used quickly as each activity is 4 tokens or more. The arcade games are in close proximity and therefore causing people to bump into each other. Outside the activities are better spaced out. The arcade card automatically registers any tickets you win so you don't have paper to deal with which is a plus. read more

First I went for the batting cages super fun btw but then on cage 5 the machine worked but u payed the tokens and the balls weren't coming out but the machine was working so I went inside to ask about it and they gave me 2 more turns at the batting cages! Funworks? Not so fun. Terrible experience. A worker and a manager initially tried to keep my two 100 dollar bills by saying they were counterfeit.
