Nice bowling alley but remember to bring LOTS of $$$&. I like the concept of monitoring your game through an app on your mobile phone. HOWEVER, $65 on a Sunday is ridiculous. The last time we were here was about 2yrs ago. We'd come by more if the price wasn't so expensive which is why the next time we'll come by will be another 2-5 years. We bowl in a league here and it's a fun place. Really enjoy the people that bowl and the folks that work here. Only bummer is that if you bowl on your own it seems like you always get folks next to you that don't have any bowling courtesy. I wish the front desk would monitor that. You don't get that at Yosemite Lanes and McHenry Bowl. You really can't beat their food. There are so many options and they are all good. The pizza is off the hook good. Wings very good. We have had just about everything on the menu, and it never disappoints. The place is always clean. There are several couches at the lanes that need reupholstering, however. Every employee we came in contact with was patient explaining how to get a card to load money on it, bowling and laser game. Refreshing as most young kids in the service industry are clueless. Unfortunately, this review is being negatively impacted by our experience with Antonio, the bartender in the restaurant/bar area at Ten Pin Fun Center in Turlock. We visited Saturday around 3:30 PM to celebrate my son's 13th birthday, watch playoff football, enjoy food, drinks, bowling, and games with family. When we arrived, family members were already seated in the restaurant area watching the game. We ordered draft Michelob Ultras, food, and appetizers and stayed there until about 4:45-5:00 PM. We then reserved a bowling lane for the start of the night playoff game. Six of us bowled for about 1.5 hours, with eight total attendees. During bowling, we ordered pizza, appetizers, and a few additional drinks. After bowling, the kids wanted to play more games, so we decided to return to the bar area to finish watching the game while they played. At this point, we had spent around $700 between bowling, arcade cards, food, and drinks. When we returned to the bar, seating was packed, which we completely understood. We sat down with the drinks we had from the bowling lanes. Only one person finished their drink during the 10 minutes we were seated and ordered a 7 & 7. He has back issues and wanted to relax after bowling. We were then told we could not order anything until all drinks we already had were finished. I was told no, despite the fact that I had been slowly sipping the same beer for about 30 minutes and was essentially done with it. Feeling uncomfortable with the situation, we calmly and respectfully went to the other bar, had a quick shot, used the restroom, and returned to finish watching the game. We were quiet, respectful, and kept to ourselves. When we returned, none of us had ordered another drink yet. Shortly after, security approached us and said: "I'm sorry to do this, because you guys haven't done anything wrong at all and have been the nicest people here, but you're cut off." We asked what we did wrong and were told: "Nothing, this is just a family establishment." That was confusing, considering we were there with our family celebrating our son's birthday. I then asked Antonio if I could order a beer and was told no, that we were cut off. However, two other people sitting with us--who had been there just as long--were not cut off. Even more confusing, our sober driver, who had only been drinking water, was also cut off. When we asked Antonio why, he said: "I can't overserve you. If something happens, I can go to jail." We explained that: We hadn't ordered a drink from him in over two hours I had never ordered a drink from him at all Our sober driver was sitting right there His response was: "I don't know who's driving." None of this made sense. I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but this situation was incredibly disappointing--especially considering how much money we spent and how frequently we visit. Every other staff member was fantastic, from the restaurant servers when we arrived to the bowling alley staff. Security was apologetic and even praised our behavior. Unfortunately, Antonio's attitude completely changed the experience. He was rude, dismissive, and offered no clear explanation. If we did something wrong, we would genuinely like to know--but based on security's comments, we did not. Because of this, we wrapped things up, let the kids spend their tickets, and left. It's disappointing that one employee could overshadow an otherwise great family experience at a place we visit at least once a month and spend a significant amount of money. Management should absolutely look into this situation, because this treatment was unwarranted and unacceptable. read more

Great location. Clean and aesthetically pleasing. Good bar. Some decent servers. Management and from desk is garbage. Requested a party online. Heard from no one so I repeated the request ... twice. No answer so by 2 days before the event I went online and booked lanes +shoes to ensure my sons invitees would have a good time and wait. Even with reservations we had to wait because the lane wasn't ready. Once the lane was ready we had to wait in line again for 30 minutes to check in. When I explained these things to the manager, he said he would take care of us. He did not take us to the toilet line nor did he help us to expedite our check-in. The food was good. The bar drinks were good. And our server was great. But it's doubtful that I'll return. read more

It seems like the "security guards" are constantly looking to start a problem by arguing back with patrons when the patrons begin to question the constant surveillance and "rules". Just don't serve alcohol if it's such an issue. Yosemite Lanes is still my go-to. Better vibes and better atmosphere if you're looking to have a good drink and bowl. read more

The food was great, the fries were a little too buttery for our taste, however I cannot complain. The service was absolutely amazing. There was a system glitch around halfway through which only messed up our game. And our order was also delayed due to miscommunications among the staff. The manager made it up to us by waiving our bill and also giving us a free 30 minutes on any game we wanted. The environment was very nice and the decorations were amazing. So I'm going to list my review using a "pros" and "cons". For what it is worth I'm a league and tournament bowler so I'm critiquing with that mindset. Pros: The venue is very nice. Bathrooms are clean. Fully stocked bar. Wide variety of pizza, appetizers, snacks. Huge booths to sit and hang out while bowling. Lots of TVs with sports playing. Cons: Bowling prices are by the hour, sucks you can't just buy individual games. Went on a Sunday late morning and the lanes were as dry as the Mojave desert. Don't think they know what oil is, maybe they have an oil shortage or the oil machine is broke. The approaches were dirty and sticky from people spilling food and drinks all over them. Allowing food and drinks down on the lanes is never a good idea just for this reason. Hate how they have the lights dimmed during the day time. It wasn't completely dark like cosmic bowling but dark enough to be annoying. Overall fun if you just want to go hang out and if you don't actually care about bowling or bowling for score. Bring friends or family and good around. But if you are a serious bowler wanting to get some practice in you probably won't enjoy yourself. read more

The SERVICE was TERRIBLE and uncomfortable. My finance and I had no problem ordering two drinks at a time. But after shift change one male bartender Antonio began putting time limits on my partner on when he could order a drink.. there was no excessive alcohol drinking to begin with. And when we asked why Antonio said because there were kids around.. then he proceeded to tell us that if he doesn't wait then our whole party will be cut off. So we waited 10 minutes later to order another drink. After that Antonio cut my fiancé off. So unprofessional, and hostile for no reason. We came for my nephew's birthday. We had to wait about 20 mins for enough lanes to open for our party size. Once seated our waiter came to get food & drink orders promptly. The pizza is actually good! I was surprised. I ordered bonessl wings and asked for the sauce on the side; they messed up Ana sauced the whole order. We let our waiter know and he apologized and let us keep those wings and brought the correct order out quickly. They don't offer pitchers or beer. Only single orders. This place is huge! Even though it has been open for a few years it still looks very nice and clean. There is a few tables on the bar area, private rooms and high top tables behind the lanes. Plenty of seating. Lanes are nice. They have bumpers and cute ramps to help the little ones. I saw a sign they have a kids league for ages 2-17. Definitely would make the drive to go here again. read more

Have been here a few times. They have an arcade for the kids to have fun while they wait for a bowling lane. They have a bar and restaurant right next door which was nice for the adults to get their drinks. Bowling and food are pricey compared to other place we have been too. All in all the bowling alley had big screen TVs, good food, clean bathrooms and good customer service. If all the lanes are taken you can ask to be added to the waitlist and a text message will be sent to you when there's an available lane. read more

We sat around for 3 hours with multiple lanes "Reserved" or "Cleaning" while we waited...and waited...and waited. We were told 2 hours. Then after that it was about 15 minutes while they "Clean" then another estimated 15-20 minutes while they "Clean". Still multiple lanes closed. The bad: The bathroom stalls in the women's restroom are very small. There is only a few inches space between the door and toilet which means standing next to the toilet if you want to close the door. The doors should open out and not in since the stalls are small. Price was $54 for an hour of bowling for 2 people, that includes the student discount. The ok: Waited an hour for a lane to open up which was plenty of time to walk down to starbucks and get some drinks. You got a text message when your lane was ready. The good: The couches/seating areas at the bowling alley are comfortable and the employees were very friendly even though it seemed they were short staffed. I wanted to come on here and shoutout Isaac and Sergio from the Laser Tag department. We had two big groups come in late at night wanting to do something else other than bowl and laser tag was the best option. My group was very disorganized which I know can be frustrating, but these two had great patient, leadership, and communication. They both were able to accommodate all our members of our team and went the extra mile. They did an outstanding job explaining the rules, area and helping everyone understand the nature of the game. They added an extra level of depth towards our fun and experience! I hope these two get noticed by their employer because they both impressed me. Such a fun place to hang out with friends or take your kiddos. We started out with eating at their restaurant. You can order while bowling but we decided to dine in. We ordered their French dip Detroit pizza and their quesadilla. Both really delicious and would get again. Their cocktails were also super delish. Tried the lemon drop, berry mule and something sweet. We bowled for an hour and a half. An hour would have been perfect. The service was amazing though and our server checked on us multiple times. We were looking for something fun for the kids to do while in Merced and trusting in Yelp we found Ten Pin Fun Center in Turlock which is about 30 minutes away from Merced. Ten Pin is a great indoor fun center that offers bowling and arcade. They have several party rooms great for big parties and special occasions. We did bowling and on the weekends, they charge $49 per hour and $5 shoes. There were 5 of us who bowled and we played 1 1/2 games! Pretty pricey for 1 1/2 hrs of bowling but we had a lot of fun. The place was really nice, modern and clean. Offered a lot of different activities to keep the kids busy and occupied. The service was great as well. We were greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming staff. They are located in a big lot that offers a lot of parking spots. We didn't order any food bc we had a very heavy breakfast. But the food that other people had looked good. Also, the seats were super comfortable and spacious at the bowling area. They had big tv's all over the place. They played awesome music too! Everything about this place we loved. The only complaint would be the price is on the higher side. Also, I want to add that they offer discounts if you're military , first responder etc. so don't forget to ask. Wish we lived close by so that we can have our parties here! We went to Ten Pin to attempt to bowl on opening night... can we say insanely busy? O.M.G!! So we decided to grab a bite to eat instead. Our server Blake was really cool, food was great. My biggest gripe about the place is the patio has no heaters yet and it's a chilly night but we didn't want to wait for an inside table so we dealt.
