I've been here multiple times and for the most part it's a really great bar! Every now and then there is an inattentive bartender more interested in serving their buddies and the cute girls than in the performance of their job for the entirety of the populace. That's going to be true for just about any bar though. The place is roomy, has decent drinks, and decent food when the kitchen is open. I've seen bartenders when they're jammed and they still place customer safety as a top priority, responding to reports of poorly behaving customers immediately. Went out on a Thursday night and god was that the biggest mistake ever. While there they ran out of well vodka but did not tell me, the person was who was paying for the drinks. Then when I confronted them about why I was being charged for Sky vodka and not well vodka they proceeded to tell me that they told the person I was with we switched to Sky because they ran out of well (which how do you run out of well vodka on a Thursday night?). Then after I left because I was crying, they proceeded to tell the person I was with that they told me we switched to well vodka and that I just don't remember. I've never seen those two bartenders ever and frankly will never go back because of those two bartenders. Truly felt like I got taken advantage of because I was drunk. This is a great bar. There are not many bars in Turlock that stay open late although the only food they serve is tacos and they only serve those on Friday and Saturdays, but this is a great place for people to come listen to amazing music and every once in a while, we get a great band read more

There's no place like the Udder Place! Actually, I'm sure there are a lot of country bars in the US but I really like this one. They know how to have a great time here. They have implemented a lot of safety checkpoints to ensure that everyone stays safe. The security staff is very friendly, yet firm. Friday and Saturday nights seem to be the best nights to go to. They have an excellent DJ that plays here as well. Make sure to check out their "weekly roundup" on Facebook to see what's going on. Also, I don't know if they have any food here, but the drinks are great and reasonably priced. Taylor is our go to bartender and she is the best. Always a great time here! read more

So so fun. I have not line danced forever. This is a great spot for all ages. Live music.. great band singing classics everyone could dance to. I dare you to go here and not dance!! Everyone was nice. I loved the bartender. She was such a personable gal. Clean bathrooms. No cover charge. It was a spontaneous decision after dinner to go here as we walked by...otherwise I would have worn my boots! But that didn't stop me from having a good time. Turlock is really the place to be on a Friday night on the Main Street. this is what every city should be like. One Main Street for all to gather.. eat.. dance.. drink. This place is awful. Absolutely disgusting. The service is garbage. The staff is unfriendly and not competent enough to serve correct beverages. Udder place only Survives because it's the only thing in Turlock. The ambiance is a disaster. You could start with the awful on stage performers or you could start with the bar is so loud that you might actually become hearing impaired. This place is horrible. Stay away. read more

This being the first time I have actually taken the time to visit was a blast! I didn't think the crowd would be so alive, but it was! I had alot of fun here. The drinks were great and the bartenders were awesome! Very inviting experience. I performed 2 songs there and the KJ was great. I went on Thursday when they had the karaoke going. I brought one of my bestest of friends and he wanted to leave. So, we did. We ended up coming back 3 minutes later. He missed the atmosphere right away and the singing brought us straight back. We couldn't stay away! I wish there were more places like this. You won't find a spot in the area that will give you as much entertainment, that is forsure. Thanks for the good time! Just went to the Udder place and we were not let in. It was an hour before closing time. The gentleman at the door said it was due to an incident outside, and it was the last call due to the police making an appearance. However, I didn't see people people leaving and drinks were still be served for the so called "last call" and dancing normally as if everything was fine. One of the better bars around. Went around 9:30 and it was pretty dead for a Friday night. But quickly filled up. Multiple bars on both walls of the place, so getting a drink doesn't take much time at all. The local crowd seems nice and they have outdoor seating as well. Not what I expected. The local media interview with the owner left me with the impression that this would be the type of bar like you here about in Toby Keith's song I Love This Bar but tamed down to more family oriented designed for the type of local farming community in this area. Decor is more industrial than western. There was no country music playing, just pop on the juke box. No live band. No real entertainment. The guy that took our drink order was very friendly but he had no clue what I was talking about when I asked him what type of high gravity beer selection they had. I further explained anything with 7% or more ABV. He was nervous and cracked his knuckles. I ordered an 805 just to let him breathe and let him go research his selections. When he came back with the drinks he offered nothing except to keep the tab open or close it out. I chose to close it out. So far the better drinking spot in Turlock is The Dust Bowl. We were there Wednesday night (3/29) for Luke Combs mini concert for Kat Country. I will say the atmosphere is very country, nice, clean and fun! Our server Taylor was sweet and on top of things for us. The food we ordered (sweet potato tots, pork and chicken strips with fries) was delicious especially the pork and tator tots. The menu is limited for a special event which is totally understandable . Drinks $$ were a little high but that's to be expected. One thing the owners/managers should consider is the friendliness of your female bartender with the black and blue hair. She was not friendly at all in fact very rude and snobby. She made it quite clear she did not want to be bothered. We definitely want to come back and enjoy your establishment but hopefully it'll be on her day off! I've read other reviews and also saw we aren't the only ones who found a member or two of your bar staff snobby and rude. Excellent place to be if you want to see how your dead beat high school class is doing. Place is a comical to charge 5 bucks at the door to "pay the live bands" LOL okay. Drink prices are expensive and location is still crowded even with the expansion that was done years ago. My favorite bar in Turlock. AND it's going to be expanded soon. They have great drinks, good music, and the overall look of the bar is nice. They currently don't have a dress code WHICH I LIKE. Makes it more laid back, knowing that you can wear a t-shirt and jeans or dress up. read more
