Worse service, my male friend had to get our drinks cause the bartender said she was out of Highnoon's and said we're done. Some relatives suggested we go to Nino's Place. At first glance, this lack-luster neighborhood bar did not impress, BUT...looks can be deceiving! We had a great time dancing to the awesome tunes of Marilyn's Ghost (country music band). Nino's Place is actually a lot larger inside than it looks from the outside. The rear rented area accommodates a couple of Beer Only bars, pool table, a few sofas/tables and band stage. Staff was upbeat and even participated in some of the dancing. Came on during the mid morning and fell in love. Not because it was the coolest place I'd ever been, but because it's pretty cool for Modesto. I'd heard so much about it, but was skeptical due to location. My girl friend had come in from Oregon, whom lived here, previously! Went in to Nino's tonight as I and a bunch of friends to hang out in line dance. But tonight instructor didn't even show up till 7:20. 20 minutes late. Only play music never gave any dance instructions plus went and turned heaters off and made customers move to different tables just get under the heaters because she was hot ! The air conditioning unit needs to be fixed. Ice maker isn't working either. It's so hot and muggy sitting having a drink. I enjoy the camaraderie and bartenders but I can't take the heat. Please fix air conditioner. read more

This is a little hole in the wall place in Modesto. The drinks are priced fairly and the restrooms are clean (that is always a plus). The front portion of the bar is small and the time of day was good so it was not very crowded. Our bartender Linda was very nice!! read more

I have been a regular at Nino's for the past 2 and a half years and I can say I am never going to this establishment again. Management seemingly pays no attention to customer concern until it reaches a more widespread point. Poor communication. Horrible customer service. Security moral questionable. And most importantly NOT safe(based on multiple customer experiences). Very disappointed in the methods of approach to a customer...regular at that. I've been going here for 5 years. Has major downs versus ups. Over priced, awful manager, and not cleaned ever. Love the bartenders but with having a greedy owner is way over priced for what they offer. Specials after 9pm changes without notice and shady ass customer's doing cocaine on their tables. The bartenders are good and it's a good time. But I got assaulted in the parking lot by another patron while the bouncer, Jon, not only watched but held me down while I begged him to get the girl off of me. Instead I ended up with a major concussion. The bouncer has also continued to use my name to tell other people about what happened.
